We needed extensive renovations to ceiling light fixtures in the basement and office to accommodate new book cases.Knight Electric was efficient in appearing on time, getting the job done within the approved budget and especially helpful, returning when the basic work was done to fine-tune dimmers and move one light.I would recommend them very highly for any renovation or electrical installation. On budget and on time are rare achievements in this current era.

My experience with Knight Electric was a great one. We just purchased our first house and needed an inspection on a non-professional Knob & Tube removal / replacement. Although Jacob from Knight Electric indicated the work was well done, he notified us that several items were missing and the work was therefore not to code (Smoke detectors in bedrooms and all hallways and GFCIs in the kitchen and bathroom). A minor issue, but we saw value in bringing the house up to code. The quote to was very reasonable, and the online quote system was really intuitive and easy to use. Jacob and his apprentice (apologies on the name!) came through and did all of the work without incident. I'm actually shocked they could install all the smoke detectors on every level as unobtrusively as they did. I won't hesitate to call Knight Electric when we need to do more electrical work in the future. Very knowledgeable and professional group. Highly recommended.

Knight Electric replaced the main panel at my daughters house that she just purchased. I was concerned with the age and history of issues with the 50 year old panel. After looking at Google reviews, I narrowed my selection of Electricians down to two reputable local companies. I selected Jacob's company based on our first interaction when he came to the house to provide an estimate. He patiently answering all my questions and went in detail on the work that will be done. Once selected, he made the process painless by making all arrangements with Hydro and City inspectors and responded quickly with an install date. He came to the house the morning of the install to review all the work with his crew to ensure all was addressed. His installers were extremely polite and respectful of the house and worked non stop (no breaks that I saw) till the panel was installed and power restored. The panel layout and installation was of high quality, with the wiring re-arranged cleanly and all breakers labelled clearly. I would highly recommend Knight Electric, impressed with the professionalism, communication, price and quality of work.

We had Jacob come in for a quote as well as several other contractors. Jacob communicated everything and answered all my questions making it easy to understand technically what needed to happen. We needed a sub panel installed for a new appliance and while he was here we had him give us a quote on pot lights as well. We agreed to the quote which was a reasonable price for the quality of work and within a week an installation date was booked. Jacob and his team showed up on time to the job. They were professional, communicated with me throughout the day, as I work from home, and did a great job! The lighting makes a huge difference in the space, and it almost feels completely different. The sub panel job is a great relief to have so we now know our new appliance is safe. I've already referred him to others!

I have never had such an impressive & professional experience with a contractor as I have with Jacob & knight electric. Online booking process and confirmation was so easy, professional & efficient- Jacob called & texted to confirm the appointment and arrived on time. He was so polite, respectful of our home & its contents & straightforward regarding cost and procedure. He had a binder he referenced to calculate costs- standard fees recorded- this I’ve never seen with a contractor- often times I feel a contractor enters our home, looks around & then decides what he’ll charge us- having standard fees recorded on paper was very reassuring. Jacob offered options on what could be done to meet my needs & then when completing the work, cleaned the work space so well- you’d never know he’d been there. Invoice was clearly itemized and professionally sent online. Payment was able to be sent online as well. I’m so thankful to have met such a detail oriented, professional young electrician! Have called him multiple times & will continue to. Can’t recommend enough! ( last time he was in changing a fixture, he was training a journeyman. I’d suggested the not have to tidy & vacuum after the job was done. Jacob insisted his guys be trained to complete a job properly, to standard- start to finish). This young guy is just spot on!

So far so good, had outlets that lost power and had a some trouble shooting work done, had that fixed with 20 minutes. Also needed to update our doorbell transformer, and was replaced quite quickly. Because of potentially unsafe wiring, I didn't feel comfortable installing a new fixture without a professional looking at it first, so we called Knight. They assessed the situation and did what was necessary to safely install the new fixture. They were very professional and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to call them again, and I highly recommend them.

We hired Jacob of Knight Electric to convert our attached garage with an additional 200 amp panel with a mix of 240 and 120v outlets. All aspects of this project were professional. The initial online interface to request a quote was easy to use with free form text option to describe your request. Response to book the initial visit for additional quote details was prompt. The quote provided and its online interface included specific details for the job, with the inclusion for coordination to acquire building permits and applicable inspections. The job was completed at a very high professional level with Jacob and his apprentice arriving promptly each day and completing the work on time and at the agreed upon estimated price. Overall, I am very pleased with the work they completed especially for their expertise in coordinating with the building inspectors and hydro for the job requirements within code specifications. Jacob and his apprentice were very respectful of our property and left the job site clean during the day, and did an extra cleanup at the end of each day. They also followed all COVID precautions which gave us a lot of comfort as they were working in and around our home. Thank you very much, I highly recommend them for any electrical work needed.
