We had an issue with a washing machine hook up and drain. My husband can do basic plumbing but this was something he hadn't encountered before. We called Welks they came out that same day which I was very surprised about. The work was well done. They billed us I was a little surprised to see a charge for an emergency call, when I called to enquire I was told if they come out the same day its considered and emergency call, I explained hadn't been told that, obviously we had a small miscommunication, Welks was generous enough to reduce the emergency charge. We were not expecting them to do that but were very happy when they did. We highly recommend Welks Plumbling.

The work was good but they charge service fees in addition to the hourly labour which wasn't mentioned at the time of booking. I paid a $30 service fee (which is said to cover travel and truck maintenance) for a 10 minute visit at a location 5 minutes from theirs. I would recommend them based on the quality of work as long as you don't mind the additional service fee. I wish they would have been more transparent about the service fee.

My Wife and I decided to build a new cottage from the ground up a few years ago, we’ve had a property in the Barry’s Bay area for years but didn’t know any trades people so had to take a leap of faith when it came to picking contractors. For our plumbing and electrical work we met with Jordan from Welk Electric who gave us a very comprehensive quote for all the work that would be required and the equipment needed to suit our needs. From the beginning it was clear we had made a good choice – We don’t live in the area full time so we had to trust that the work would be done to our specs, and for the times that we were on site Jordan would always make himself available for questions or to discuss any issues. The quality of work that was done has been top notch from the beginning and all of the technicians on our site were both extremely helpful and professional. Even after the build was completed Jordan and his team have remained accessible and supportive to our questions and helping refine the system to suit us best. I couldn’t recommend Welk Electric more if you are looking for an Electrician or Plumber in the area.

Service required - Welk Electric sold us a generator and connected it to hydro. First of all they went above and beyond by locating a company to connect propane to generator when original company backed out due to scheduling conflict. The installers were friendly, professional and workmanship was top notched.

In order to expand our cottage to a 3 season residence , we looked into several options with several different companies. We contacted Welk and Jordan came to advise us of solutions. He provided an easy and quick solution and installed a heat system in the crawl space. This is perfect. It provides peace of mind against the elements once the weather cools and we have been able to extend our stay here until early November.
