I was having a thermostat emergency during the coldest week of winter (-35). My thermostat needed to be replaced and since I had called a few HVAC companies and no one was available, I decided to post for help on FB and maybe some amateur handyman would help. I already had purchased the new thermostat. A gentleman named Sheldon responded to my posting and offered to come over right away (dinner time). He arrived at my home within 15 minutes. Sheldon had the thermostat replaced and the furnace tested within 15 minutes. I did not know Sheldon was with SAFFCO Heating, Electrical & Plumbing and he did not mention it. If was obvious he was at my house to do a good deed. But I figured out that he was with SAFFCO Electrical, Heating and Plumbing when I looked out my window and saw his truck. That explained why he was able to install the thermostat in record time! Lol! Sheldon refused to take any payment. Can you believe that? Of course you can! This is Pembroke and there are so many fine, upstanding, caring people in this city. I will be giving SAFFCO my business going forward. I am so very grateful to Sheldon and to SAFFCO for having such a wonderful representative on their team! This kind of service is almost unheard of in this day and age and when a company proves they are professional AND caring like SAFFCO proved tonight, that deserves our support.

I called Saffco because of issues with my furnace. From what I heard they were decent. From my experience I would say that Kyle who came was excellent. Pleasure to speak with, very knowledgeable and had it fixed quick. Could not believe that it did not feel like a service call. Just great will be calling Saffco in future when I have an issue that I cannot fixed. Will be recommending.

I've had Saffco techs in for a few plumbing problems in the past 12-24 months - sump pump work, general piping issues, and a sewage scare, twice I think, (tree growing roots into the outlet pipe under the lawn). In all cases the technicians were dispatched quickly and/or arrived when expected, and all went well. In reading through other reviews on here I see a few people have had problems with scheduling, estimates - office stuff. I've interacted with the office staff several times and they are great people, so any sort of issue leading to a bad experience with them I have to think would be very isolated events, and in my opinion there are always two sides to a story. Not to marginalize what others have said on here, but just knowing the staff there as I've come to know them, it would have to be a really bad day for one of them not to do their best for a customer.

In the past I have had great customer service from Saffco...this last time those was horrible.They never once returned my calls,I had to initiate them all.I had to practically nag the receptionist to get me a quote & I was left waiting to have plumbing done for an entire month during which time I had no toilet.I didnt get a different plumber at the time as I had had a close death in the family & just wanted my plumbing fixed & I had always had good service from them in the past.When I asked for a breakdown in parts and labor I was made to feel that I was in the wrong for even questioning the final estimate or asking for the breakdown cost.I wasnt given a written estimate before the work was done or told what the cost covered other than 'parts & labor'.There was no explanation in writing or otherwise until I asked for one.They did reduce the cost by $400. but by that point it wasnt even the cost, it was the terrible customer service that was so upsetting.The neglectful way I was treated as a longtime customer was so bad I will never EVER recommend them again as I used to.I dont know what happened to this company but they are NOT what they used to be;a consumer friendly business that made you feel you were the only customer.Now they make you feel like they dont care if they have your business or not.Dealing with them was the worst experience I have had in a longtime. I will add tho that the actual plumber who came was very good and friendly...too bad the office staff isnt.

Our hot water heater blew and we called around everywhere. We got the we can book you in next month? Saffco installed a new water heater the same day. They were in and out and easy to deal with, nice bunch of young lads!! Thank You Saffco.

My well pump quit Saturday morning. I called Safco because they are my go-to people and "Dave" said he'd do what he could for me. A couple hours later, Dave showed up and did the job of replacing my pump. Dave is the owner of the company and was filling in for employees enjoying a little longer holiday. Nice job.

As others have mentioned, don't expect anyone to return your call. Very poor customer service. They don't get it right the first time, and they don't seem to care about retaining customers.

We found out the hard way we had a broken kitchen drain pipe for quite some time that caused water damage. We called Saffco and were really happy with how quick the response times were and how proffessional the plumbers were. They kept us updated the entire time and the quote was almost perfect. I am really happy with all the work they did on my house. I will definitly use Saffoc again if another issue arises. I dont normally leave reviews for coys but they did such a great job I felt it was needed.I looked at the other reviews prior to calling Saffco and saw multiple complaints about them not calling back.These reviews are all during covid 19 and the coy had a great response time and called me back anytime i left a message. I think people need to remeber these are not normal times and more patience is required.

Driver in Eganville leaving the beer store thought it was funny to cut off a delivery truck twice. Hope your insurance company doesn’t find out he was using a company vehicle for personal errands. Any employee with a me first attitude definitely will not be recommend by us.

Had a drain blocked and they were able to come the next day. Plumber was amazing and took the time to ensure my entire pipe was cleared to the main stack. What a difference!
