A complete no show. We booked an appointment and my wife waited all afternoon, no show, no call, no nothing. She called him and left a message, no response. We tried to contact him twice more, but he doesn't return calls. Save your energy, move on.

I couldn't be happier that I chose to contact Dan Wilcox to help when the plumber noticed our old dishwasher wires had caught fire. Not only did Dan do a thorough investigation from breaker to the machine itself but he also prepared the machine to make it easier for the plumbers to come back. Professional, personable, and very reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to contact him again for any issues. Keep up the great work Dan, you are an absolute treasure in a sea of thieves and rip-offs.

Dan was so professional! He came in and very politely asked me a series of questions to better understand the nature of why one of our circuits in the home was not working. He quoted me a price to fix it which was perfectly reasonable to me too. The bonus for us was that what would usually take Dan and his apprentice an hour took almost 4 hours because the previous home owner had done some Mickey mouse electrical work of their own. This led to the root cause of the problem being far harder to diagnose and solve. He was here that whole time and still stuck to his original quote. He also was very helpful in answering questions I had about getting more power to our detached garage for future EV vehicles or changing it to a coach home. Overall I would be extremely likely to recommend Dan for any electrical work needed. I will certainly be using his services again!

I called Dan Wilcox for electrician service and made an appointment. The day the apoiappoint came he told me he was going to be 2 hours late so I rescheduled for the next week. The next appointment came by and once again he told me that he could not make the appointment anywhere near the time we agreed upon. So I asked for the very first appointment time he had when he could come first thing in the morning, we booked for yet another week. When he was supposed to arrive, not at all to my surprise at this point, he was nowhere to be found. I tried to call him several times and found my call either ignored or rejected. I can't speak to Dan Wilcox's ability when it comes to electricity, however I can speak to his ability to keep appointments which is non existent. Think twice before booking with him as your booking may go unanswered.

I cannot praise Dan Wilcox Electric highly enough. Simply put, Dan Wilcox was THE BEST part of our reno experience. Why? Well, for a number of reasons, actually. First, Dan explained everything in such a way that there was no doubt as to what was going to be needed (if known), what would happen and when, what could happen if something "unpleasant and unexpected" were found, as well as how much it would all cost. Second, Dan provided us with multiple options, made recommendations, then let US choose the way forward, respecting our decisions and NOT ONCE pressuring us to change our minds for a more expensive option. As well, once he gave us a quote for our project, HE HONOURED THAT QUOTE, despite running into unexpected items needing repair! Third, If he told us he was going to call at a certain time, or be at our home at a certain time and date, then he was. The couple times he was not, he gave us advance notice, usually because something on a previous project needed an unexpected fix, without which would have left the client without power. Next, his staff were as much of a pleasure to deal with as Dan was himself. Last, Dan and the electricians working for him were not just professionals, but craftsmen. Looking at the work they did, the installations were top notch, and the wiring completed in such a way that even a layperson could trace the wiring and find a sense of order. Dan Wilcox is the sort of professional one hopes they will deal with when undertaking a project, large or small. Dan has both earned my respect and loyalty, and I will use him for all of my future electrical needs. Most highly recommended!!

My tenant called me and told me one of the baseboard heaters was not working. I called a couple of places before I called Dan. As my tenant is a busy single mum and I am in a different city, making an appointment was not easy. When I told Dan about the situation, he didn't even hesitate for a second to work around my tenant's schedule. The repair was done in a timely fashion and my tenant was very happy. Thank you Dan. Perfect, Perfect, Perfect I needed an electrical inspection on a catering mobile unit (Commercial Kitchen Trailer ) So i googled electrician and called a couple people ! I had a really tight schedule so no body would come I have called Dan about it sent him pictures and he was there the next day at 7 pm after his day of work!! Who does that !?! He explains everything he was going to fix We basically had to redo the whole thing ! He showed up 3 times on site and everything is Brand new and quality products and the Inspector was impressed of the quality of the work !! The price is good he won’t over charge ( charging 20$ for a 1,50$ plug .. No he won’t) Highly recommend Dan Wilcox he is the one you want for any electrical job you need I am Really impressed by his work!!

My electrical heating wasn’t working in my room, and it wasn’t a breaker issue. Dan was prompt on his arrival and was in and out very quickly. He diagnosed the problem was at my electrical heater itself, and though he didn’t fix the issue (I found out after I had him out that my landlords won’t let anyone but their employees work on my home), he sure had it figured out fast. He gave me all the information that I would need to tell the landlords and I'm still cold, as they aren't nearly as diligent as he is. Sure wish I could have gotten him to do it!

I had a problem with my smoke detectors for the last one week and I had tried everything I could think of but I couldn't resolve the issue. Dan came in and detected the issue within a couple of minutes and resolved it right away. This is the third time that I have hired Dan and he is done an excellent job every time. He provided some advice in case if issues came up in the future. He was punctual, friendly and very helpful every time. Dan is my main contact for all our electrical work going forward. Dan found a dead circuit that, unknown to us, had loose wires in it. This dead circuit was like finding a needle in a haystack as it was hidden in a plug, buried in the storage room. This dead circuit caused a power outage in part of the basement. When I first called Dan, he worked patiently with me trying to fix the problem over the phone. When the problem could not be fixed, to my surprise, Dan was willing to come out to my home immediately even though it was already past 6pm and on a holiday! If you are looking for someone with great integrity and mind-blowing electrical knowledge, you need to call Dan and his team…PS…even by Parrot like Dan and his team. ????

Dan installed a 200 Amp breaker box in our home 11 years ago. As the work was completed by the previous owners Dan did not pursue the final on his work. The city put a notation on our tax records so when we tried to sell the home this came back from the city the day before we sign the papers. We had only 10 days before we have to move. I contacted Dan who danced around the issue. I sent him the documents he never got back to me. I contacted him the following day only for him to tell me he couldn’t open the attachment.I sent him photos of the documents . He than told me he couldn’t do anything until the end of June. We have a significant holdback by the buyers because of this work never being completed. Please be diligent when using this contractor that all his work has been completed and follow up with the city.
