Bestbuy Canada & service Geek Squad & their customer service is the worst service in the world. They are not coordinated. service Geek Squad deleted all my documents and applications during repairing my Laptop! Shippment and return policy is worse, all my items are damaged and I am always on arguing with them. It's boring.!!!

Better staff than the one on Taschereau. May not have more information, but make you feel important as a client. Staff will try to research an answer, rather than read what is on the box. Which a normal functional adult most likely has already done. But still it is a Best buy, not what it use to be when Future shop was around. Minimal inventory, seem to push online shopping rather than keep inventory properly stocked.
Don't ask anyone for help, they are useless (mostly).

WorstEST bestbuy ever!!! I have never seen a corporate store (such as walmart, futureshop, etc ) this unprofessional and plain rude. My very first experience there : I am looking at laptops. While picking up the info sheet beside one of them (I didn't have my glasses and preferred to pick it up rather than bending down, but that is irrelevant), this "dirty" (as in absolutely unhygienic) looking dude, with the forms that I'm sure hadn't washed for a year, unshaved, and I guess had never touched the face since the very first facial hair :p comes to me, off the bat tells me , and I quote "don't move the labels, put them down if you need to read them". Mind you he was talking to a 33 year old man, not a 4 year old kid. Second experience: I'm returning a laptop, I happen to have 3 receipts in my wallet and by mistake give her (the cashier) the wrong receipt. She literally "throws" it in front of me saying , and again I quote "this is not even the right receipt", not a single word less or more. I didn't say a word, when done she says have a good day I just ignored her, and as I'm moving away she blurts out loud (all customers in line turned back and looked at her and then me) and says "you are wellllllllllcome". I go talk to the manager Patryk and all he told me after about 5 minutes of me talking is "I will look into it". All and all, I most probably will never ever go back to best buy unless they start giving away everything for free WITH a bonus free Mac computer...yup, that is never. As a business owner (in restaurant, where customer service is #1 along with quality of the food), I would hire every single person there for my business to wash the floor and the toilets and no chance of promotion. Bestbuy: you disgust me with this store.

I went yesterday to buy a ethernet cable and two guys served me the first guy was new you could tell but did everything to get what I need anyways with that being said there was an ethernet cable that the website said it was out of stock at this locations but the second guy went to double check and told me the website wasn't updated it saved me from going to the lacadie location or else where thank you very much
My favourite best buy!
Went to buy a watch there, at first they told me that someone stole the piece that goes with a promo. I decided to order it anyways and have it delivered at the store. The item arrived 3 days later and the package was resealed. Best Buy sells it as a new item, where it was clearly used. I said to myself fine, I will return it to which they told me that their system is down and I cannot return it now. I will have to drive there for the third time now. Lesson learned, just order from Amazon with 1 day delivery and a new product, not returned.
Sincerely, Such a disappointment to see that high up managers, even owners do not care of the quality of service that this place "offers". You have employees that lack knowledge that should be giving to them in training, managers that have no authority and a department, Geek Squad, that has ONE PERSON working the floor, walk in clients, past computers (50 the day we called) and having to figure out how to "help" people from the outside... Why have 15 employees on the floor and 1 in that department, clearly the floor is overworked and the Geek Squad understaffed... Get at least ONE extra Geek Squad member to manage the outsourcing... We called Thursday morning, and only got a call back in the afternoon AFTER stating are whole issue, which really was only a Microsoft Windows 10 repair... By the time they called back, they said we would have to call a different place and/or bring it in... That they needed to diagnose the problem even though we knew what it was and wanted to charge us for it... Like if they were really there to help they'd try to understand but they show that they really don't care... It's sad that customer service means nothing to them... They will probably end up shutting down like Future Shop... At least Future Shop had more Professionalism and Accurate Customer Service...

After reading the reviews here, I was really horrified to go this store. But I chose to go and everything went well. I wanted to buy a mouth and keyboard set. I asked a person there and he was helpful. I did not have any problem buying from them.

The manager started to pickup a fight with me when all I wanted was to talk to the service. He wasn't following the company's policy, even though it was written on a board and displayed outside the store.
Staff were very helpful and the store was large & well-organised. One of the staff in the computer section helped my wife compare the drawing/stylus use between the Apple iPad and the Microsoft Surface very well, and she's very happy with her choice.
Very limited in product selection. Low stock and most of the time out of stock on many items. Needs an update like all the other BestBuys are getting.

When you need electronic, you can find it here. They have a great variety of items. You can also order online and receive it in a few days. The store is big, clean and organized. Employees give a good service if you need help. All year long, you can find discounts and you save.

It was terrible in mobile section. It was around 11 am and only 1 guy was working in this section. He serve customers so slowly like he didnt know what he is doing. I was waiting for long time to be able to refill my phone.
Good deals before christmas
I'd like to compliment one of the best guy in Best Buy, for the excellent service he provided me. Mr. Amo helped me two times sort out my activation fees with Virgin and the other one to find a headset. I have always been pleased with the service I receive at your store. However, Mr. Amo’s professionalism and ability to get to the bottom of the situation quickly exceeded my expectations.

Bought a laptop for Boxing day. Wait an hour on a yellow waiting line, wondering why it took 10 minutes per person to get his laptop/tablet. At the end of the queue, I realize it's because they wait for people to get to the "geek squad" cashier's place to do their sales pitch to sell either the "geek squad" subscription or buy an anti-virus. Being an IT, I get ready to say "no thanks" about all that. Finally I get to the cashier's with my girlfriend. I immediately tell the cashier I won't need anything extra with the laptop, then the cashier (named Philippe I believe) asks me which anti-virus I'll be using. 1) Those are called anti-MALWARES. 2) It's none of his business, and it's private information. 3) It's a home laptop, not for work, just to do a few word documents and save them on OneDrive, so I'm fine with just the Windows 10 Defender to start with. Plus, one of my IT friends works for Kaspersky, so I get that too but BestBuy stopped selling Kaspersky (the best anti-malware in the world in my opinion) so I didn't feel like offending him by telling him I'll use the only anti-malware BestBuy doesn't sell and then have to explain to him why. So I tell him I'll stick with Windows Defender for now. THEN. THEN he tells me in front of my girlfriend, "Well if you use that, you're not an IT then!". I say back, "Yes, I'm an IT, thanks for the insult!". Says back to me again: "Sorry but no, if you use Windows, you're not an IT". I reply again: "Yes I'm an IT, and thanks again for the insult!". I understand that you guys don't make a lot of money on sales if you don't sell anti-malware software, geek squad subscriptions and accessories, BUT, BUT we still have the right not to have our intelligence insulted and our occupation questioned. The customer experience I've had today was by far the worse I've ever had, anywhere. Also, my girlfriend and I were 2 seconds away from saying "keep your darn laptop, we'll buy it elsewhere".
I’m not a big fan of big box stores, but I decided I’d go to the Best Buy in LaSalle and see if they could help me with my Apple product. I have Apple TV (first-generation), and recently bought a new remote to access my device which had been offline over a year. With the new remote, Apple promised me I’d be able to access my settings with the new remote without any issues (had been using Apple TV remote on my iPhone and even that was not logging in properly). All this to say, I wanted to test the device at an Apple store to see how they could configure a new Wifi setting. I waited to speak to the one “expert” they had in house, a short dark-haired technician on the floor. His first response was, ‘maybe it’s your Apple TV?’ He hadn’t even bothered to test the device, ask me any questions pertaining to the issue and assumed the obvious. I asked him to please test the device and see for himself. He advised me that it would be on a different Wi-Fi than mine, and that it wouldn’t help my situation. I again asked, can you please test it to see? (Duh, obviously it wasn’t logging into my Wifi) At the point, he just directed me to the Geek Squad, that had begun to have a long line up of customers waiting... Frustrated with the level of service already, and to avoid taking it out on someone at the GS, I decided to just leave. Does something seem wrong with the level of customer service I received here? Where do they get these yahoos from? Needless to say, I will never, ever step foot in a Best Buy again, and prefer to now go to an Apple store directly. I know a little bit about troubleshooting online before going to request tech advice, but would never recommend Best Buy as a good source for product knowledge or advice. ????

However there is a lack of comminication for the customer service : there is no phone number you can call for question which is just mind blowing, i had to drive there once just to ask a question.

Received an email this morning containing a receipt of a couple transactions.. i have nothing to do with this and i am not even a resident of Quebec. I lived in Lasalle three years back, then may be I bought something from the store and gave them my email address. I tried to contact the store foe more than a hour but no body pick up the phone. I meed an answer why have I received this kind of email? The employ code on receipt is MC9V.
As always, they have great products and technologies but the lack of service and the time it takes to get help takes away your desire to come back and shop there as in almost all bestbuys..

I have been dealing with a simple warranty issue for the past 3 weeks. My TVs panel burnt out after 8 months, geek squad came and said they couldn't repair it. Was advised to call the store about replacing it and 3 separate occasions the staff either didn't know what to do or in was told a manager would call me back. Now I will have to go to the store with my TV in hand and ask who there can fix my issue once and for all. What a joke.
Easy to find pretty much all the electronics you'd need. I didn't ask for assistance so no idea if the staff is knowledgeable. Store is slightly dated in lighting though and with no bags available you need to bring your own or make it the last stop in the mall.

The service from cashier was good but the same Logitech product that was at Best Buy I found it cheaper on Amazon and I showed it to the person and kindly he asked his manager if he can match the price. Manager said no we can't match the price because Logitech is not sold by Amazon. I know it doesn't make sense. The product was listed on Amazon cheaper sold by Logitech on the Amazon website and they didn't match the price. With these practices Amazon is becoming the king of retail. Very dissatisfied disappointed by the manager at this Best Buy. Too bad I was about to buy also an LG 65 Nanocell 8K TV. Guess what! I'm buying it from Amazon.
I've has mixed experiences with Best Buy. They do offer a price matching policy for online and brick-and-mortar retailers. Find the same item being sold cheaper, and they'll beat the price by 5%. They've recently terminated their Rewards Zone and Gamers Club loyalty programs, so shopping there won't earn you any more points and any gift certificates you've earned must be redeemed this November before they expire. On the plus side, they still honor Future Shop gift cards but I'd hurry up and redeem those too just in case they decide to no longer accept them. They do offer trade-ins for videogames that most places won't accept (like old sports games on PS3, XBOX360 and Wii) for a $1.00 Best Buy gift card, although the last time I did this they told me they no longer accept them but a call to the Fairview Best Buy contradicted that and proved that some of the staff are clueless. They do offer more trade-in value for more recent tiles on PS4 and XBOX One. Still hard to find any sales reps, at least in the games section, even on a slow day but at least the checkout is usually fast and efficient. Unlike the now-defunct Future Shop, employees do not make a commission. As for their extended warranty, I personally decline it every time and it's my professional opinion that it's a waste of money. If your item is going to break down, it'll do so either within the manufacturer's warranty (which can be extended for another year by paying with a credit card) or well after the extended warranty. You want extra protection, pay for the item in full with a credit card that offers an extended warranty /purchase protection and you're good. Their Geek Squad is also very expensive when it comes to out-of-warranty computer or smartphone repairs, which is why I'd recommend looking to third-party repair shops as they're often just as professional and usually way cheaper, too. Ditto for home installations; ask a local repair shop if they make house calls. They've also started selling furniture and baby accessories. What is going on? Kitchen appliances I can understand, but this? Are they in competition with Babies "R" Us and the Brick, too? Improve your existing revenue streams (to say nothing of customer service) before you start branching out into other areas. No business is too big to fail. Kmart, Eaton's, Sears and Target have proven that. Hope things improve.

No wonder people shop online these days - employees seemed to be a bunch of teen friends who were more interested in discussing weekend plans than serving any customer. I waited 10-20 minutes for someone to unlock a display case only to have customer service hem-and-haw about a price match request before I finally lost patience and stormed out. I never had such a miserable feeling when shopping as I did at Best Buy.
Unlikely other Best Buy, customer service experience was terrible! No smiles and busy to talk with their staff members... I left this place and went other Best Buy to purchasing TV and air conditioner!

Purchased my home appliances during their black Friday Sales and was helped by Fahmi. He gave me the best possible price and made the experience a breeze. Recommended! *edited review. If you are having appliances delivered, get ready for a few "no shows" and frustration. Big communication disconnect between Best Buy and those they hire to deliver. They successfully delivered our appliances after 3 failed "attempts". Room for improvement.

Not gonna lie it's a perfectly fine best buy in terms of stocks and products, but the staff is slacking hard when a manager isn't around. It's kind of a shame because really good service is the only thing keeping brick and mortar stores alive versus Amazon and the likes.
Recently had a horrible experience at this store. I went to buy a printer, I waited for about 30 to 45 mins if not more for someone to help me with some general questions. All of the employees stated that they were too busy to answer any of my questions, one employee called someone over head to come to the printer section, there was me and another customer waiting.. nobody showed up! After 45 mins, I got mad and left the store. Went to bureau en gros and was served the minute I walked into the door.

Don't bother to go there if you're looking for help. It can be quite hard to find assistance, but that's to be expected from a retail store in Canada in 2018. The head office is trying desperately to save money and make money at the same time, but they're failing horribly because if there's no service then there's no point in shopping here, I can do the same thing in the comfort of my home. The products are overpriced due to amazon being a retail store killer (there's no way in hell I'm paying 32$ for a 6 ft "premium" HDMI cable)
Tried to get help to purchase a product so I decided to ask the 3 employees who were talking to each other at the main entrance, one employee said that she was going to get someone to help me,after 10 minutes of waiting no one came to see me so I decided to leave. This is not the first time that this situation happens to me at this store.

I see a lot of people complaining about how knowledgeable the sellers are. When I arrived here on black friday, I already knew everything I wanted, so I cant rate this best buy on these parameters. What I can rate though is that when I was at the cashiers the seller really did the best to please me, even going in the back to pick up another copy of an item and excluding some items I didnt want anymore, always with a smile and a positive attitude. When I had to return some of the items three days later, I also got great hassle-free service.

I went to buy a wireless gaming keyboard from my son, and even though the keyboard showed in stock online, it was out of stock. The rapper said he would go in the back and look if they had any and he forgot about me and took a long time to come back. When I went up to him, in order to make up for it he gave me a good discount on a more expensive gaming computer keyboard. All in all, he did try his best.
Never had any issues with customer service. I also check for info online so I'm not sure how knowledgeable the sales people are.

Horrible service!! The girl that worked there was too lazy to get up to show where I should be looking for an adapter. She told which isle to go in. I didn’t find it, so I went back to her and asked to show me the adapter. She sighed and asked someone else. In the end, the adapter I was looking for WASNT EVEN IN THE STORE!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was searching for a HDMI cable and asked someone to help me locate it in their large store. They have many people working there to aid you in whatever it is you are buying. The layout of this best buy is very similar to other best buy locations for example the one at Fairview Pointe-Claire. So if you are already familiar with the store, chances are the products are categorized in a similar fashion. The cash area and the entrance to the line is bit odd and hidden as they place shelves of products to create that space

I called numerous times in the day to speak with a tv specialist the phone keeps on ringing ...i had to go to the store to speak to someone. But when I got to the store...spoke to a salesman and he was nice and knew what he talking about.
They usually have what I am looking for. If they don't, they can refer me to a best buy that carries the missing thing. The staff is not annoying, they let you shop but are readily available to help you when you need them. They have the typical set up of most best buys in Montreal.

Brought in my computer to get fixed awhile ago cause it wasn't charging and they told me it was a corroded something or other, and that it would cost 300$ to repair.. Brought it into another store, and low behold, it was only my charger and I got one for 10$.
Absolutely useless staff. The place is loaded with employees no one is looking to serve people. I've been standing in the store for 20 minutes being bounced around from one Department to the other for a simple request. Best Buy you should be embarrassed. Sorry for the harsh review but in this case is well deserved.

Not particular to this location, but it's difficult to determine what they have in stock. I was looking for a particular item and to save a trip if they didn't have it, I checked online which showed 4 available for pickup at that location. What wasn't clear is that these "4 available for pickup" were only available if they were ordered online in advance and delivered to this store. That's not terribly useful. It was a waste of a trip anyway.

The Geek Squad is always good!
I had a failing motherboard for a 5 year old Sony Vaio all in one. Geek Squad told me they could not repair it on site and decided to send it from Montreal to Toronto. I asked them to back up the drive and let me have a copy to transfer to another computer in case my Sony wasn’t repairable. I picked up the machine today unprepared. They told me they made a back up but erased it without telling me which is exactly the opposite of what I’d asked them to do. If any component is failing on your machine, try to get a backup before entrusting your machine with BestBuy. Make sure the repair agreement is in writing with all the details specifically highlighted. Make multiple daily backups of your machines folks, motherboard failure is rough.

I truly believe the Place Newman Best Buy's is the worst Best Buy's on the island of Montreal. Too few service personnel. The ones there know little to nothing about the product. Managers managing managers. Personal over managed! It use to be a store to benchmark other Best Buy stores but over 15 years it has become The Worst Best Buy I have ever walked into. Avoid unless you know what you want. Check to see if it's in stock.
I came from far to pick up my online reservation for wwe 2k17 for ps4 which was confirmed for my son's birthday and guess what? they didn't have it! Wasted my time!!! completly retarded why ask for my phone number if you cant notify me???
Rude. The staff get annoyed when you ask for help, which... why are you working there? It's hectic and the overall energy really wasn't pleasant. Unpleasant staff can really make even the best of stores unappealing.

I bought a laptop from here a year back, still problems with it. Custumer service - this goes towards all those other than "geek squad". They have a professional attitude and show that they're ready to serve the custumers in need. Products - I bought a laptop online from this bestbuy. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until I watched videos. The laptop would shut off and not turn back on for minutes at a time. I also noticed that there was a previous account signed in when it arrived. How could we trust a company such as this? Wide spaces, lots of selections. Personnel is courteous and occasionally knowledgable, but quite often clueless. It's a good thing to research things before buying, don't rely on salespeople for information. In all cases, the selection is good, the personnel is very courteous and returns are easy, so I come back here from time to time for my purchases.
Staff is lost and rude best off getting on line. I ended up getting what I needed somewhere else. They should get their act together.

Makes me miss Future Shop. I have shopped here many times, but now actively go out of my way to avoid it. They have asked me to buy a product for $500 sight unseen, open the box, see if I liked it on the spot, and return it if I didn't like it, all because they did not want to open a box to put out a demo model. I may as well order from an online store. On Saturdays they often have only 2 of their 6? 7? cashes open and you need to wait on occasion for 10 minutes to be able to pay, The staff really don't care. I have asked for things only to be told they do not have it in store, and then I found it myself on the shelf. All in all, one of the worst electronic stores I have ever been to.
They never have anything in stock at this one. I wanted an iPad and they didn't even have it in stock. They told me a truck would be coming tomorrow and I called the next day and nothing. Went a week later for a moto 360 watch, guess what, didn't have it in stock. There's no point even going to this Bestbuy and i always get attitude from there customer service.

Came in to buy a Samsung fridge and range, waited around for 10min for a rep to finally acknowledge my presence. paid for them and left the store. an hour later I found them at a better price at home depot for $300 less in total, so I went back and found the same rep, told him I want a price match, he says he can't do that because I already paid for them. OK fine. I waited in line for 40+min, returned them and bought them afterwards at home depot. they can't even price match, I don't get their lowest prices guarantee promise? A week later, some delivery man came to deliver the appliances that I have returned already. Fail.

This store is frustrating. Game racks always empty. Student staff that dodge clients or are always running around instead of being helpful with "not my department" answers. Prices are ok for most of the big items like tv's, computers, etc, but save yourself a visit and purchase online where you don't need to be hustled into buying a useless extended warranty. I suspect Best Buy will become an online only store within the next 5-7 years competing alonside Amazon. Also beware with their online selection as most items are sold by a third party retailer that does not ship to Quebec. Very disappointing considering the best majority of their products are sold by a third party seller. Best Buy will need to remedy this if they plan on competing with Amazon.
Not to impressed by the service. Asked 3 different ppl for help regarding a product, i got told by two of them they would get someone for me. waited 15 minutes and nothing. wasn't until i bothered a manager (i believe) that i got a simple answer for something i was looking for. Employees joking around and looking at phones. Not sure what to say here, but best to order online else where.

The last time a visited this place I was looking to buy some new headsets. There was a bunch of staff gather in a circle joking around being very loud and throwing stuff around. I never was asked if they could help me with something. Needless to say I went to another store to purchase a new pair of headsets . The staff are just a bunch of kids now who as aren't very knowledgeable and I would never go there for expert advise

Drove 15min to this store for something written In-stock at Downtown location and told by employees to go to this location instead. Newman’s employees closed the cash at 7:45pm before closing hours (8pm) and refused to turn it back on because “it takes 30min to close the cash and they didn’t want to stay after 8pm just for one client”. Told me that’s only for curb side pick up only after 7pm and I can ordered online. I said: “ok I’ll order it now so can I have it?” The employee said: “You can order it now but our cash is closed so we might only get the order tomorrow morning”while it’s written 11 to 8pm curbside pick-up. Save yourself some time and order it from Amazon instead. Not like they have anything special that Amazon don’t have. Horrible customer service...

It's a great store with lots of deals pretty much all the time. Good customer service. I buy most electronics and video games at this store. They got rid of their best buy card where you would rack up points and get free stuff so that kind of sucks but overall its a great store with lots of tech. They will speak to you in english or french and sometimes they will shave off a tiny bit of the price if you buy a lot. I bought my ps4 here and my xboxone and my 3ds. I recommend this stpre to anyone who likes and has an appreciation for technology. They also have kitchen stuff. A music section. Computers etc. Highly recommended.

All our questions were answered and delivery was arranged to our convenience. Shortly after leaving the store we received a phone call to verify that they had all our information correctly. We were very pleased with our experience today.

I only put one star because I had to, and thats being generous. my Geek Squad experience was nothing but a joke. I purchased a MacBook Pro from them a couple years back and had to have the hard drive replaced 3 times before my 3 year warranty expired. Surely enough it happened for the 4th time after my warranty expired and they didn't even log all the times my laptop was serviced either. The person who helped me didn't even try to facilitate the issues at hand (help find a reasonable solution). He wanted me to pay for the repair on a new hard drive, which would cost 250 from what another man told me on the phone. The customer service was novice and best buy’s diagnostic team isn’t qualified. They kept my laptop for almost a week with no help what so ever. I decided to take my mac to the Apple store and was welcomed by costumer service that makes geek squad look like a shifty computer repair shop out of a strangers basement who learns everything off of youtube. Their condescending attitude and lack of customer appreciation is disgusting, I will not be doing business with best buy anytime soon. I highly recommend that you go somewhere else for anything to do with Geek Squad.

Honestly its really hard to review best buy because its massive and has a huge staff. For the most part its great with decent prices but the only issue is the staff. A lot aren't professional and act like they're at home and literally none of them understand amything about computers even the geek squad. We recently had to bring back a laptop because three people we asked were wrong and then the floor manager tried to upsell us to a more expensive laptop lol.
I think the store and the company in general should improve how BestBuy should be helping their client, whether online or in store. For one, during this pandemic, it mustn't have been easy to get everyone to work. So instead they should of hired the personal that were told to go back home to actually be put on phones at the store to answer and help people who needed to call. I'm sure they could of think of a better way to compromised everyone. I bought a computer there and I was told it would arrived in 2 days since they had to transfer it from the warehouse. They didn't have it in store. I waited the 2 days. On the third day, I still hadn't get any info if the computer got there. Tried to call but it was always an automatic message. So I had to go there in person to be told it still wasn't in. To come back later in the evening. It should of been handled better. For a company that does make a lot of income and instead of cutting their staff during the pandemic, they should, or even could of put them in better use on phones to answer them in store to help their clients and prevent clients to have to travel and go in store for no reason and be in contact with others. Also, I seriously don't understand why a company like BestBuy doesn't have a Wi-Fi in store for customers who needs to use it. I sometime need to show links to their website but can never show them cause I can connect in store. And let's face it, BestBuy has much more relevance to do with Wi-Fi than Staples. And Staples as Wi-Fi in store to help. And to conclude, Online shopping is sometime not quite the best. I've ordered during our lockdown and a lot of the times, items that were only available online weren't always available. That I can understand. What I don't understand is that sometime I would select different items in one order but couldn't go to Pay because some items weren't available but the website wouldn't let me know which. So I had to try different combination by removing and or switching items in my order to figure out how to actually be able to order. So hopefully someone from the Company's headquarter will read and make sure to improve the way BestBuy serves it's client.

The store itself is very nice but the clerks seem to avoid answering questions directly, interrupt interactions with another clerk so your time is wasted and one clerk actually explained to me that ram was memory as if I didn't know that, and the condescending attitude kind of throws you off so you forget to ask if computer is upgradeable, which is a feature that I am looking for in my next computer. Didn't seem as busy as other Best Buys. Lots of staff talking to each other instead of assisting customers IMO. Generally a slow and frustrating experience IMO and I found shopping at Future Shop during the dsy, before takeover, more fun, faster and easier since clerks there seemed friendlier and more knowledgeable and respectful, IMO.

Not very happy Best Buy... A friend of mine and I as well as a few other clients were most anticipated on purchasing a copy of the Final Fantasy XV video game for the PS4. We grabbed our shelf copies of the game and waited for more over than one hour and thirty minutes in the line to the cash register to come to the upsetting news that the game was sold out. If your employees knew a basic knowledge of letting clients know that the merchandise was out of stock, we the clients wouldn't have wasted out valuable time on our days off that we deserve from long hours of work and you would have not be getting this complaint. At least give clients a rain check or rectify the issue. You will be hearing from my lawyer as this did not end well.

DO NOT BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM THEM!!! I bought a Dyson V10 with an extended warranty from the store two years ago. At that time the salesman said the extended warranty covers everything and you have a worry-free of use - they fix it, or replace it. I clarified the coverage on the battery because this was my major concern, and the salesman said "EVERYTHING"! Now, two years later, my Dyson's battery is weak (fully charged and run only 10 minutes) and it got two physical damages (all under the normal use). I sent it to the store, waited for a month, and got NOTHING REPAIRED NOR REPLACED. Their explanation is that battery is consumable part - not covered, and parts are not available - physical damages are not covered. I feel like I got swindled. I should have recorded the conversation with the salesman! I tried to contact their manager but the phone is never picked up. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME ON EXTENDED WARRANTY! There is even no clear written terms regarding the coverage for each product - they can find whatever excuses they want!

Almost all brick and mortar retail is going down the drain and this BestBuy is no exception. Every time I've been there, there have been major issues: the credit card system was down, stock was inaccurate, nobody to tend to certain parts of the store, etc. The only reason I go there anymore is because you can order from the website and have it shipped there (the website is terrible too, but sometimes, the prices are good). The point is: if you particularly want to be "advised" by someone who knows about as much as you do (after a cursory internet search), then come here

This morning my laptop did not start. After trying everything I could, I went to Bureau en gros in Westmount. The person there could not care less, he didn't even asked questions, he told me I have to leave my computer, it would be a 60$ up front and they would contact me in 2 or 3 days to tell me what was wrong. So I went to Best Buy LaSalle. Sebastien from Geek Squad took my laptop and told me he would check first if it was charging. Voilá, problem solved in 10 minutes. The attitude and costumer service was PERFECT and so amicable and supportive. Sebastien, I owe you big time. A big thank you to Best Buy LaSalle for hiring capable people and for having the right attitude towards your clients
Never answered my call
The employees know nothing about the products they sell. I went in to buy a micro HDMI cable so that I can watch my GoPro videos directly on my tv. I asked for a GoPro wire, since people have mentioned online that other wires are not compatible due to the size and speed necessary for large videos. The employee in electronics assured me that this would not be an issue, and gave me a generic HDMI cable. I was still unsure, so I asked two more employees (they all said it was going to work with no issues). Got home, tried it, and the video would just freeze partway through. This has happened to me before, just with other products. What a joke...

It is a large store to buy electronic items. We can get approx. all the electronic goods here. It is realy a good place and easy to find.The gaming section is awesome where we can buy games according to our condole.

Terrible experience. Having learned about a bundle(2 Google Home Minis for $40.42 and taxes), I went to the store to benefit from it, only to learn later that the deal was an "error" in the system. Disappointed, I asked for another bundle(Google Home Mini + Meross Smart Plug for $45 + taxes), which I showed him on the bestbuy.ca website, to which he pointed to go grab the items. Unable to find them, I asked for assistance. The Best Buy employee and I searched for the particular smart plug but couldn't find it anywhere in the store. Annoyed with the whole fiasco, I asked if there's any other bundle with a smart plug, which followed by the employee showing me a deal (Google Home Mini + TP-Link smart plug for $55 + taxes)on his own smart phone. Desperate to make my visit to the store fruitful in some way, I agreed to benefit from the deal, but to my surprise, even this bundle disagreed to concord at checkout, displaying a total of ($65.99 +taxes). Quite perplexed with this development, I protested to check for another system "error" but my prayers were ignored, for the employee was more interested in texting on his fun. Exasperated and offended, I decided to leave at once having wasted two full hours in the store looking for deals that weren't there and dealing with people with astonishing amount of ignorance. My last visit to Best Buy was not only wasteful and worthless, but it also was insulting. I think as a customer, I am entitled for a bit of fair.. customer service.

Most staff are not interested in technology and lack knowledge. On my last visit my cashier could not figure out how to process my best buy gift card when I tried to pay... Online store stock is often wrong and if you try to get someone to double check over the phone you'll wait forever and eventually get hung up on.

COMPLAINT: since you don't have customer service reps to answer i will do it here. I purchased a pixel 2 last week. Battery died very quickly. I went to a nearby bestbuy (Lasalle) to replace it and they told me they didn't have any left but gave me the address of a store across the island of Montreal (Anjou) that currently had one in stock. So i drove 45min away to go pick it up. When i got there they told me they weren't able to make the swap and it had to be at the original store i purchased it at (Pointe Claire). So i went back there. When i arrived they told me they didn't have any and would have to wait. Told me they couldn't have shipped over from another store. So i went to the first store (Lasalle), and told them what the (anjou) and (pointe claire) store had told me. They assured me that both stores made a mistake. THey called (anjou) to tell them to let me do it and they finally agreed to swap it. When i went back to anjou they told me that they were doing me a favor by swapping it. A FAVOR????? Thank you deeply for pissing away 5 hours of my day and 30L of gas to drive around for a broken device you sold me... ON TOP OF THIS...I BOUGHT A PROTECTION PLAN. I was very happy that Best Buy Lasalle helped me sort this problem out as fast as they could because i was extremely upset by the waste of time. Best Buy Canada... I am very worried for you that you feel you hold the power in your hands when in reality..competition is far too large and your brand equity isn't as powerful as you believe.. You aren't Nike .. we have options guys... you are the middle man to a product ....you are not THE product. I have spent thousands at your store and this was the first time i have left the store thoroughly upset. I am sorry to say i will never be back to purchase from you again.

I walked in and sanitised my hands. A chap directed me to appropriate section of shop; I bought stuff for my daughter; I walked out. Best Buy was clean and its bilingual staff were helpful. I will return.
For me it's the most convenient location but from now on I'll make a point of going somewhere else! I've never had a satisfying experience with this one. Staff is indifferent and extremely incompetent! There are "greeters" at the entrances and guys who do the promotion of fancy new gadgets but every time we walk into the store to actually BUY something - no help is available! You can wait for 15 minutes to get someone who would find the item you already know you want to buy! And forget about asking questions on the products - their knowledge goes only as far as reading the info on the box or on the website.

best size the same chain that they have in the USA that they have in Canada. That's by bothered all this future stores and then close them off anything remaining became a Best Buy store. They're good place to go see what's up and even my computer expert guy Winston Wang said that when they have a sale are laptops you can't beat their prices. Otherwise they're sometimes too expensive and sometimes normally price. On the day I went four years ago 2014, they had a sale and a price match and they do price match of 100 + 10% so they had an incredibly good price on memory cards elsewhere and as Best Buy so I went in did price match and pick up a couple of those. I from time to time I've bought things online that are well-priced or would I need and competitively priced.
When they first opened they had so many items to offer. Of course over time and online shopping becoming popular the store 's focus and inventory changed. No longer a location I go to for simply passing the time for fun.
Geek Squad, located in Best Buy Lasalle, worst store ever! Service is horrible; took my laptop there for repairs twice. They sent it to HP twice and the problem still persists. Went back a third time and they ignored me! They are more interested in conversing with each other than helping customers.Their knowledge of French and English is poor; they don't understand either language.

Went this morning to buy an Apple Ipad , no one available to service but plenty of employees with blue shirts talking in groups. When I approached a couple of these employees, they all gave me the excuse they were busy but I could not see any customers. Went to the customer service desk to complain about lack of service only to be arrogantly told they are to busy instead of making any effort to locate someone to get me an Ipad 9.7. Told them, not a problem walked out and straight to Bureau en Gros around the corner. Not only did I get the Ipad, I also added the apple care and ipad case. The Best Buy in Lasalle is absolutely the worst when it comes to customer service. From now on, I will go out of my way not to buy anything from this store.

I strongly recommend not to buy anything from best buy Lasalle QC. I reserved my LG phone in best buy store in Lasalle from my home, on line. When I went to pick it up, the guy in cell phone section refused to give me the phone, saying that they do not give cell phone without sim activation. However there was not any condition on lineto have sim activation. However guys at cell phone section of future shop gave me same model of cell phone without any sim activation.

i find what i was looking for but had to wait long time to have help even if i ask to call for help when i arrive in the store entrance After waiting stand up for a long time ( really painful for me I got disability) and nobody come i was surprised bcause not many costumers in the store. i had to go deeper in the store find 3 salesmen chating and relax together. seem as if i never asked to call a saler for help when i arrived. I was not really happy with that i was on rush tire and just need advice for wich memory card fit with my phone. the salesman after was provide good service but they should b more aware and focus on is there any costumers who need to b help instead of chating all 3 in a back corner at the depest store part. specially that i ask when i get in if they could call for a saleman in the memory card section Obviously its like if they never received the help service request

I was really happy with their service overall. I bought an HP printer online and it did not work. Decided to go exchange it at the store. Got a much better Epson printer for a lower price and even got money back. I would have given them 5 stars but nobidy helped us when we were trying to look through the other printer options, so that was the only issue.
The worst manager, customer service and cashier, the first time I bought a quality WD HDD from this best buy, and I tried to bring it back to the repair center here, they asked me to solve it with the WD by myself, they offer the warranty but not the service. This time I tried to buy a dyson vacuum, their system declined my transaction, and the cashier, manager all showed an impatient face, either just showed me the declined bill or "this refund is gonna take 48hr back to ur account, I can't do nothing for that". Excuse me? It's ur company made this mistake and I can't ask to get back the refund if it's possible?

Super friendly and helpful. Bought a laptop and got some good advice from the worker based on my needs with the device. Also gave me half price on a smaller purchase I made since I bought them together. Very reasonable and customer focused.
Customer service zero. Salesperson misinformed us about the price on a tv then lied about it when we complained to the supervisor. Supervisor was rude and dismissive to us and wouldn’t hear what we had to say and walked away. When I asked to speak to manager he said he was manager. And also when you call no one answers. DO NOT PURCHASE APPLIANCES FROM BESTBUY. I purchased a fridge with a 3-year warranty from Bestbuy. This fridge broke during the COVID pandemic and it has been over 6-months and bestbuy still has not serviced the claim or replaced the product. Bestbuy support is completely useless, as they keep 're-escalating the situation' but provide no resolution (replacement or repaid). If you want to get completely screwed this is the retailer of choice.
Absolute worst customer service. Most of the employees there don't seem to care if customers are lost or need help. The line to wait for returning an item is poorly laid out. If you're not an avid Best Buy goer, it is very easy to get lost and so as any normal person you go and start standing in front of the computers at Customer Service counter to get the employee's attention. Suppose you're not waiting at the proper line up, no employee will come and tell you...they just walk by pretending to be busy. Even the two employees near the entrance that check the bill, items (bought/returning) or whatever...don't tell you anything. As a customer, the vibe I get from the Best Buy employees at this branch...that their doing you a favor. Sometimes the customer service line takes forever because its not only the return items line but also item pick up. They rarely will have someone to speed it up, yet they need two employees most of the time to check bills, items or whatever near the entrance. Long story short.... this place is the ABSOLUTE WORST! If you're looking for a Best Buy, don't go to this one. The manager of this branch should be ashamed the way this store is run because they are not doing their job..unless they want to drive away customers. @Best Buy Inc, I hope you're reading these negative comments and plan to improve this terrible branch of your chain.

Today I bought a wi fi printer from this store. I had no mask because, in the parking place, the wind took away the mask from my hand...I tell you this story, because a very nice youngman saw me with a napkin on my face, he understood my problem, and offered me a mask. He helped me till the end with very useful informations. He saved my life..????so, I could finished my shopping there. Today, I can say this store deserves 10 stars. Thank you, Sir! My wife has an encounter with the boss or supervisor there ... an employee canceled her purchase of 500$ 4 days ago , and now the money is apparently lost !!! Her bank told her that the payment went throu but they keep playing games with the head office this and the head office that....
uninformed and uneducated sales people at cellphone department, except maybe its manager. I had three bad experiences with them in a row. You may think I am insane myself, however, there was a good promotion and that store was the closest BestBuy. I found two of them rude also. Just if you had to deal with them, try to keep insisting them to ask their manager or the phone company.

Staff is very rude.I was in the store for not more than 5 minutes and the staff decided to follow me around then when I left because it was getting uncomfortable they accuse me of stealing and made me empty my pockets.After I did and the didn't find anything no one apologized for their mistake.

I went there for a warranty-based exchange as I had been repeatedly told to deal with the retailer. Unfortunately as I was trying to explain my issue to the manager of customer service, she was extremely dismissive and disrespectful. She wouldn't listen or acknowledge my issue and just kept repeating she couldn't do the exchange and when I pressed for reasons as to why, she threw a bunch of contradictions my way and I left there very angry. I understand there are company guidelines to follow and that not everything can be returned or exchanged, but that is not a reason to mistreat clients who are unaware of those guidelines. Instead she blabbered none-sense and walked away before I was done talking to her. Terrible experience.
Very bad service. I waited 15 min for a simple question and the guy didn't know the answer. Thx for the guy at the geek squad that knew the answer. Once at the cash to pay my item. the price wasn't the same that indicate on the shelf. We when and check back with the manager and the tag had a mistake its was for an external hard drive of 1TB and the one on the shelf were 2TB and they were no 1TB on the shelf. I said to the manager they should be careful when they display the product cause I got confuse. and she starting to get rude with me and said that a should read better the tag next time. I was so shocked by her anwser that I left the store and never going back and I found what I was looking for on Amazon . Sometime it's better not dealing with people.
This place absolute crap. The lines to pay are often more than 20/30 min even when item was reserved. Lines up of more than 20 clients wanting to give this dying breed money yet only 1 cash opened. No wonder they will be disappearing within the next 5-10 years. Save your time and money buy online if you can.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Spent over $4300.00 on appliances and a TV here over a month ago and they still have not been delivered. Our delivery was canceled and rescheduled 4 times with no explanation and no attempt to explain why. After our last chance to complete the delivery tomorrow, we will now have to throw out all of our food in our fridge and freezer at our old apartment since our new fridge still hasn't been delivered, and we'll have to eat out because our range/oven hasn't been delivered. We will be asking for a full refund and taking our business elsewhere. You've been warned, do not purchase appliances from this store for home delivery.

Worst best buy in the country I swear. The service is very poor, they never answer the phones, they don't care about customers and rip them off by selling last year models at the same price of the current year without saying anything, they will sell you stuff that is not compatible with other stuff you're buying just to sell it instead of educating the customer on making the right choice, I was completely disappointed. Going forward with complaints at corporate levels because this should not be tolerated at all. So much time and money wasted on this store.

I ask a question in English as I am neither from Quebec or Canada and do not speak French. They speak to me in French, I tell them sorry I don't speak French and I'm met with a frown. They go off check stock and come back to me speaking in French again. I walked out and bought a TV on Amazon. Rude, horrible ( there was more than one) and a blight on the otherwise friendly, helpful, bilingual Montrealers. People like this give a terrible reputation to Quebec. Is it a crime to be from a non French speaking part of the world???

Wait outside to enter a rather empty store, we get inside, we're greeted, as we continue walking one your disgruntled employees tells us our mask has to be all the up as I pointed that we were just finishing our coffee in which he replied there's no drinks inside how about that and storms off. I can tell that was a big moment for him. This short frustrated "man" has no idea how to speak to customers, first we should have been told when we walked in no drinks and when we were told there is a polite way to say things. None the less I found exactly what I'm looking for on amazing landing tomorrow. bestbuy is on its way out all these retail stores have left is customer service.

Was there this pm at around 4 pm a lot of employees standing around and no one could help me. First employee didn't understand french or english was trying to sell me a dvd player. The 2nd employee couldn't care less or even look in the computer to find if he had it in inventory!! Really !! I left and told them thanks for your lack of service!!

They basically took my computer for repair and never gave me a update on it, one week later i try to contact them and there is no way to contact them , they don't answer the geeksquad telephone or the store phone. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! My computer which has been fixed twice by Geek Squad is still having the same issue. No longer under warranty. I was Told my excuse because of COVID and not getting there in time was just not good enough. I was told to get it fixed again by them. When I asked the cost I was told some where around 400$ I asked for the manager, weekday, and he fluffed me off and told me to deal with Geek Squad. I will file a complaint with the Consumer protection board. No one there will take any responsibility. I will never buy from the again, and I have been a LOYAL CUSTOMER
Employees need more training, some are A1 and some are really lost in the store. It's confusing for the shoppers. They also miss a lot of things advertised on the website, the inventory is not up to date.
I came in today to pick up 3 iPhone 11 Pro, waited in line in the mobile section for over 35min despite being a slow Tuesday. The 2 reps god knows what they were doing but it clearly showed that they prefer sitting down and taking it relax rather than serving clients efficiently and in a timely manner. I wasted my whole lunch time to get in line only to be disappointed.

Biggest electronics retailer in Canada. They have plenty of stores in Canada. The one I visited is a large store near Angrignon metro station. The staff very pretty helpful in finding the product and explaining details about them. But always make your own research before buying something. Don't rely completely on the staff's words.

The manager lied and told me I needed an 80 dollar wire for my new tv. Then tried to make me feel like dumbass when I didn't take a extended warranty. I don't know why I bought from them. I have always had the worst service at this store.
This place suffers from the same problem as most big box stores: staff that has no knowledge of the equipment they're selling and can't be bothered to help you. I asked a sales associate where I would find some software I was looking for and she waved vaguely in the corner and said it was over there, with a look on her face that said 'why are you bothering me?' I won't be going back.

Manager and staff were extremely rude, specially a big blond male. However there was a blonde worker about 5'6-7 tall, he was very kind and frankly the only staff member that was professional. Don't come here if you're a visual minority, of if you're just looking around the store.

Employees just avoid you in this place. It's simply impossible to find someone to help for a product. If you want to reserve a product in the "Reserve a product" line-up, they basically tell you they can't do that. And the lady at the customer service desk has to be convinced to give you the phone number of another store. Anyone else working customer service would call for you. There, they don't know the concept of customer service. Really the one at Pointe-Claire is so much better!
Unfortunately, this could be a great store, with the huge inventory, large selection, huge discounts, higher end and lower end products, nice space, and more. But, again, as others have said, there are so many staff, but no one seems to be anxious to serve you?! The ones not hiding and that you can see are walking to break time or the toilet? Luckily, they have headphones and can communicate with eachother to call help for you. Maybe they work on commisions and they also profile the visitors for the "big buyers" and the "just looking"? I might buy a TV there? I bought a basic all in one inkjet printer based on the recommendation of a helpful young lady that served me after going to the washroom. It turns out it was the most economic one to run in the long term! Be warned and think about if you want the extended warranties first before going to buy or finally at the time of payment! Like many other businesses, the cream of their profits are based on the added warranties they try to sell you.

Terrible customer service. I was recommended a laptop that didn't meet my needs at all. I was told that as long as I wasn't using the computer for gaming purposes, it was powerful enough for all my needs. The computer was prone to crashing doing basic functions. I am annoyed that I had to waste my time buying, configuring and returning the product.
They need more staff its hard to find someone to help you and when you do they are serving another customer and it takes forever for them to get to you. The employees are nice

We bought kitchen appliance, dryer and washer, the installation and five year warrantee from bestbuy one month ago, and set up the deliver day as today. However, no one showed up and even no one called us. My husband took one day off for the delivery, right now the day off is completely wasted. I called their home delivery for 4 times, every time they put me on hold for 30 mins just transferring me around. Will not shop with them any more.

I just purchased a dell 2 in 1 laptop at Best Buy Lasalle. I was in the store a week ago and had a wonderful experience with one of the associates in the computer section of the store. Unfortunately this was all but wiped out today when I went to pick up my purchase which I reserved on line. There was a problem with the price they were trying to charge me (too much). I was showing the( i guess cashier would be the term) the email i received with the summary of the purchase. At one point she says to me "CAN YOU READ" and of course she was wrong on the price. "WOW " I now regret not having purchased from Dell directly on line. Anyway very poor customer service. Will be difficult to spend money there again.
The Geek Squad guy I spoke with appeared to be completely technophobic. He couldn't offer worse service if he tried.

Being a tech savvy person myself, I usually go to the store to "feel" the products that I might buy. But because of the pandemic, you're not allowed to touch them so you could just read the impressions and buy your products online which really reduce the reasons to come in-store. It's a shame because I bought a tablet during last boxing day period online and was satisfied with the fast delivery. And it is pretty quiet there, especially compared to the restaurants, retails & groceries inside the mall.
The products are good, the service, not so much.
