What an amateur operation. Called on May 15 for a quote, lady on the phone quoted me a price for the work I needed and said that they're booking service calls 2 weeks out. Since I was fine with the price I asked her to book the service call, which she did for May 30. She called me back shortly after I spoke to her and said that the owner wants to come out to the site to give me an estimate before he does the work. I agreed and we booked the quote for May 23, with actual work still happening on May 30. On May 23 I left work early to be home when this guy shows up only to have him call me, basically give me same quote over the phone I got a week earlier, and tell me that he's not actually coming out to see the work space, so now I'm out couple hours of pay for nothing. Better yet, the next day I get a call again from them only to find our that they didn't actually schedule the work for May 30. Now I'm left with other work on my project scheduled based on the assumption that electrical will be done on May 30 and less than a week to find another electrician to do the job. This company can't even get the baics right, like scheduling the work.

Awesome company, had Tom in this morning to do some basic work (basic for him, not for me) and to check some wiring for safety. Very friendly and professional. Prices very reasonable. Would absolutely call in again and would highly recommend.

Had Stanson in to validate and fix the wiring in an old home. The guys were knowledgeable and friendly. There was an issue we discovered a few days later, but they came back to correct it, no problem. Came in under the quoted cost, which was already significantly less than a quote from another company!

Stanson Electric upgraded our panel and installed a breaker for a hot tub. Very clean wire running and penetration through the wall. Smooth scheduling of hydro and inspections. Matt really takes pride in his work and explains everything thoroughly. Very reliable. I strongly reccomend Stanson Electric. They won't disappoint.

Make sure you get your quotes in writing!!!! Even for the smallest job. I needed an electrician for literally one switch and one outlet. I was told there would be a minimum two hour charge of $140 but I agreed to it because I was in the midst of selling my house and it was important to me that it be done correctly and quickly. Long story short I was charged $89/hour plus tax and was told that was the rate I was given. By the time I realized it my credit card was already charged. My fault for being so desperate, as finding electricians is not easy, but seems to be one industry in particular where you need to really look out for yourself. I still gave two stars because the man who came to my house and did the work was a gentleman and pleasant to deal with.

I had purchased a home that had knob and tube wiring in Kitchener in mid November. I only found out afterwards because my inspection person had missed it. I was stressed and called over 5 different electricians. Two physically came by to provide a quote but then never bothered to get back to me. The other three just stopped responding when I tried to schedule a time for them to come by to provide a quote. I finally called Stanson electric, and Jen directed me to their master electrician, Matt, who promptly scheduled a time to take a look and then actually called me back to provide a cost effective solution to bring the knob and tube up to code. They scheduled the work and showed up and completed the work. The work did take two days longer than they expected because of the unexpectedly poor wiring in the home but they did it right! The house passed the ESA inspection! Jen was always prompt and professional with her responses and addressing my concerns and so were Matt and John. I'm always going to go with these guys for any electrical I need done in the Kitchener area. Thank you!
