A very thorough and professionally conducted furnace and a/c inspection. I appreciated Tim's advice in many areas. December 2020. I just had Ian from Reliance here in Kingston repair my furnace, and this in mid-December so a dicey time of year for a furnace to be out of service. He did a great job, taking the time to trouble-shoot, explain what he was doing and come to the root of the problem - a malfunctioning capacitor. All within an hour. Ian is a very personable and competent technician. My opinion of reliance is boosted considerably!

I have been with Reliance for several years and am VERY satisfied with their service. We recently had an issue with a sulphur smell. We called Reliance and a gentleman named Chris came. He not only fixed our problem, but he went above and beyond. He tested my water for iron and salt, helped me understand my plethora of machines that are cleaning my water, and helped me set them to cycle in the middle of the night rather than in the daytime. He didn't have to do any of that, he could have simply fixed my sulphur problem and left. But no, he took the time to help me out. I am very happy with Reliance. And thank you Chris!

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the crew that installed our equipment and cleaned our ducts were helpful, friendly and professional and this was a 5 star service (shown as 1 Star) and the second star (also 5 star goes to Hayley the complaints rep I have just spoken to) - I am deducting 3 stars for the Customer Service call center and the Sales Rep. who forgot to remove the maintenance plan for the furnace and AC (this is included when you rent the equipment) I have now been on the phone for nearly 2 hours. I have been transferred to 5 different departments and cut off twice. I have had to do DPA 5 times and each time they confirmed they have the correct telephone number for me but no one - including a manager/supervisor called me back. I have worked in Customer services for 25 years and i have never come across such poor service . Needless to say as it stands at the moment I DO NOT RECOMMEND RELIANCES Customer service line

The inspection done today by the serviceman was great. My only complaint is the time I waited. I originally booked the appointment on line two weeks ago. I got a confirmation email. I waited at home for the entire appointment two weeks ago. When I called in because nobody showed, I was told there were "problems" with the online booking system. The only available time was 1.5 weeks later (today). I'm sorry, if your online booking system isn't working, you don't make me wait another 1.5 weeks.

Tim came to save the day at our house today, around 2pm. His expertise and skill is truly second to none. He is one of the best service technicians I have ever dealt with. I would hire Tim today to work with my web design company if the position was open. Even more, I had an issue with my thermostat after Tim left. Recently I have moved to a house that hot water tank is belongs to Reliance. I received the bill with delay and now I have to pay the late fee because they did not send it on time. also they are asking for three months in advance payment when I did not used their services yet. when I asked for monthly payment , then I was told to set up pre-authorized payment and they called it option. this is not an option, you are forcing customers to pay three months in advance from their pocket when they did not use your services yet specially in this COVID-19 situation that people are struggling. Forcing to set up pre-authorized payment and then charged them whatever you want and then customer should run after you to get the extra money back. I do not talk about the customer service because they were horrible. Now the owner will place a comment that say please provide your account number and full description of the issue to resolve the issue. I wish I could give them zero star, one star is also a lot for them. Nicole, in response to your message, if you would like to do something, please let your customers pay their invoices monthly without forcing them to accept pre-authorized payment.

February 2019 our 50 year old furnace gave up the ghost. We called Reliance. All of the people we spoke to or dealt with were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Each time we were sent a customer satisfaction survey - we responded positively. But the bottom line is - since the initial installation - we've had 6 visits of repair guys! (All Reliance persons) Either a heating issue, and AC issue or a humidity issue. Each time - something wasn't set right. By the time the problems came to light - the survey was history - with no opportunity to express our dissatisfaction. I sure hope everything is all set to continue working now. What a pain.

We had our furnace quit working over night and had no heat in the middle of winter, an appointment was booked and our technician arrived early morning. Our tech Greg called prior to arrival advised of eta. Extremely punctual, and showed up when advised. Came prepared to enter my home in (PPE, booties and tools ready) Quickly diagnosed the issue, and ordered parts for permanent fix. Greg was extremely polite, and took extra time to explain how the furnace works and why the part that malfunctioned caused the furnace to stop working. A step above what he is here to do, I definitely appreciate the extra knowledge. Thank you Greg for your quick friendly service.

We had a new furnace and heat pump installed. The Team that came to do the install did a preinstallation inspection to ensure everything would go smothly. They were very respectful and kept me informed as the work progressed. The system started up with no problems. I highly recommend Reliance and this Team in particular. I was most impressed with Will, as he offered tips, advice and information for all the questions I had for him as we just moved in last fall and this was our first maintenance service since here so lots of questions and he invited them all, I was quite pleased with his job performance and I felt like for the first time ever being part of his job maintenance as he told me what all he was doing. I thought he went above and beyond hid job. Lookin g forward to the same kind of work performance in the coming years. I have had 3 different groups of people in within 24 hours to inspect, replace and repair my hot water tank and valves. The person I talked to on the phone both times I called was polite, professional, friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the problem. The electrician, plumber and hot water tank installation crew were all great! They asked if I had any questions and went out of their way to explain things and make sure that I was comfortable. The customer service experience has been absolutely fantastic the only issue I had was that as a renter I wish they would have been able to direct bill my landlord instead of billing it my account and then get reimbursed from the landlord.

They are an absolute nightmare to deal with! The furnace we bought from them had issues from the beginning. Every time they sent a tech out they said there is nothing wrong and the furnace got worse and worse to the point where it now completely stopped working in the middle of winter. You are not able to speak to anyone in Canada on the phone from this company and they will literally leave you to freeze if your furnace breaks down in the winter. We had to pay another company to come fix the furnace even though it's under warranty because their techs keep saying there's nothing wrong with it. Beware! Do not buy from them!

My very old furnace died on a Friday overnight while I was working at the end of January. Needless to say I returned home to a very cool 50 degrees. I contacted Reliance on the Saturday, and was very impressed with their commitment to bring me a completely new system by the Monday. I would especially like to thank Amy Crews who took care of contacting and dispatching her Home Comfort Advisor, Carlie Papazian to my home that very Saturday. Carlie was knowledgable, and very helpful. She and Amy were able to get me a complete new system of furnace, and AC that best suited my property and needs. They were both in contact with me throughout the process to ensure that everything had met my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend both Amy and Carlie to anyone looking to replace, or upgrade their homes heating, cooling, or hot water systems.

Worst customer service. I've been trying to contact them to cancel my hot water tank rental for the past 3 days. I get put on hold and have been waiting up to an hour each time. They have no issue picking up their phones for new customers but once you request to cancel your account they place you on hold. I am resorting to writing a review on Google for someone to answer my request to cancel my account. In September I required my hot water tank to be repaired, it took THREE separate visits to replace the plastic spout to a brass spout. My hot water tank was leaking for almost a week straight before they could fix the problem..... Oh if you love a call centre that is not knowledgeable after hours then Reliance is a perfect fit for you. I've switched to Home Aire Care and am thrilled that I can speak to a person who knows how to provide excellent customer service.

Reported the presence of a warning light on our furnace Thursday night, furnace was still providing heat but just this yellow light. Service arrived Friday 4pm and determined that it was a normal state, not a problem at all. Kerry was very helpful, showed me where the user codes were located inside the furnace.

Had an issue with our furnace. We have been paying for reliance system protection since buying our house, covers you for all repairs. Called reliance and the technician was at my house 10 minutes later and promptly fixed the issue. Amazing. Highly recommended.

This was a call for Electrical problems. This would be the second time I call with a list of things to be done having to do with electrical problems at my home. Mike who came came for the second time was just amazing! Not only was he very knowledgeable and quick to know how to fix the problem, he was very courteous and professional. Everything was done and replaced if it needed to be . I would not only recommend the Reliance’s electrical, heating / ac as well as plumbing maintenance programs for very little a month. If you're looking for a company who will book you an appointment, never show up, and tell you after 3 follow up phone calls that "someone will call you back" but will, in fact, never call you back, then "Reliance" is for you! This is the most unreliable, least customer focused company I've ever dealt with. Called Reliance today for no hot water issue at my elderly parents' home. Thermostat replaced one month ago, but now no hot water again. Was promised that someone would tend to it today by 8pm or perhaps a bit later. No one showed up, and no one called. Currently on hold now for 1 hour and 15 minutes, trying to get through to their '24/7 - 365 days a year' number. All I want to know is if someone will show up tomorrow. Ridiculous. I think perhaps that only one person mans the phones for all of Ontario past 8pm.

It turns out I was sent the wrong iron filter to begin with a double tank when it was a single tank that did the job better. The plumbers sent here to do the work they were told to do were great however unfortunately once a sale is made by salesperson zero follow up happens! If you have issues they almost never get back, always have to call to speak to a manager or try to, that's never an easy task either so far.

Bought a home that came with an 13 year old Hot Water Heater, tried to cancel the account and just own it outright. Reliance wanted $400 to buy it out. Or $150 for removal of it and pick up. (They charged the previous owner $35 x 12mn x 13 years = $5,460, without a single visit, single upgrade, or repair) I told them they had made enough money on this water heater, roughly 3x over it's value. The Customer Solutions person, corrected me and said more like 4x. They offered me a deal of $200 to buy out the account, which is about $200 too much. Or they could pick it up for FREE now. I phoned back multiple times to get clarity and discuss this matter, but Reliance is only interested in renting forever and when you're done with them....charging you on the way out the door. 0 of 5 Stars. The business model this company runs is pretty low brow.

So I called them because I have a pipe leak in my house. They told me that somebody's going to come the day after from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. So I mobilize myself at those timing waiting for their personnel, even if I had friends activities during that time, but I thought that a water leak at my house was more important than a friend activity. So Im waiting and at 07:50 PM I called them to let them know that their worker never came yet, they told me he was on the way and will arrive soon. So eventually he never came. I called them the next morning and I ask them nicely and politely what happened for them to let me down like that. They told me that they are sorry by reschedule me an appt the next day. I told them that I will call somebody else and thank you. Bad experience with a company that I'am a customer since I got here in Kingston because im renting a water heater from them. They really need to review their customer service policy when its time to serve customer.

My furnace stopped working overnight, I called Reliance 7:30 in the morning and they had a tech at my house before 10am. He found the problem, found the replacement part in stock at a local supplier and had the issue resolved and my AC running again before lunch. Excellent service! The technician was friendly, especially for a Sunday call, but above all very knowledgeable. It took him no time at all to find a broken wire on my A/C. Once the wire was fix he insisted in ensuring that the A?C was outputting the right temperature and everything else was up-to-par even though I said that it everything was working fine now in the the house. Commercial customer. Called to have our hot water tank serviced on Thursday November 4. They came and a part needed to be ordered and it was ordered by 3pm for next day delivery. Then when part was shipped directly here, I was to call them to have the tech come and install it. Friday comes around, no part, no call. Called them to see what was going on at 1pm. Customer Service lady just said it says part is being shipped and should be in a bit. I called again just before dinner, and the next customer service lady said the shipping date was changed to Monday. This was frustrating as this is for a restaurant. Monday November 8 comes around and the part shows up. Says it came from a Kingston company and was shipped by Purolator. Called customer service spoke to a gentleman to get it installed. They showed up but the tech was not a commercial tech and said he would do his best. He got it up and running but didn't wait to see if it was going to work. The temperature on the hot water tank got to 100 degrees and the same error message came up that was from Thursday. And this part was suppose to fix that issue. Called them back 10 minutes after the tech left at 2:23pm. Spoke to Customer Service and he said he would get someone here between 4pm and 8pm, I said let's make sure it is a commercial tech, and he said of course. I agreed. Along comes 6:30pm and no one here so getting a little concerned. I called back and spoke to another customer service person and this was another gentleman. I asked about when the tech was coming and it took him 4 different times to find what I was calling about. He then told me that no service call was made. I was upset at this point because this is a business they have put on hold since Thursday November 4. He said the best he could do for a tech now was Thursday November 11. I said no thanks that treating a customer like this is very disrespectful and that his company would be getting a bad review. So here it is!!!!!! Attached photo of the same error message from Thursday and the start date on the work order sheet.

Reliance's (excellent) plumber Paul Lesage came over today...on a Sunday expecting to repair a small pinhole in the hot water pipe for water leaving the water heater. He fixed this right away then spent a patient two additional hours tracing, cutting and removing L joints to finally find one in which a tiny plug was stuck, occluding the hot water pressure in all eight sinks and three showers in out B&B. Our old water heater stopped working, we knew when we bought the house it was on its last legs so were prepared to replace it with a rental from Reliance because we'd used them at previous residences. We called them first thing the next morning and they were out to us (an hour from Kingston) with a new tank that afternoon. As it turned out the current one was installed with many code violations so we had to work through alternative solutions with them and they had to return a day later. The entire crew was professional, friendly and efficient. We now have hot water and are very happy about it!

Recently signed up for the monthly plumbing plan, as finding local plumbers who are good and are not booked ahead for the next month isn't easy. Reliance gets you a good plumber within a day, and the plan seems to be a very good deal for general maintenance/repairs. And then I went with Reliance for replacing my furnace and air conditioner with a very efficient and super quiet Carrier system. Both sales reps I dealt with were professional and not pushy, nor did they require a 60-90 minute selling appointment. Customer service and installers were very responsive, they let me know when they were arriving, used masks and distancing. One part of the install wasn't available, so they gave me the option of temporarily installing a different type of filter until the one i ordered arrives, or rescheduling.

He was able to look at our furnace and change it to be from constant low-heat to the two low/high heat, plus also confirm that the A/C install in December 2020 was OK and we were good to flip over (eventually) for summer heat. I've dealt with reliance for about 6 years now. I had a furnace installed and multiple hot water heater contracts. I had them come in to upgrade my hot water tank from a 40L to a 60L My payment went from 12$ to 25$ a month which i expected. They put in a refurbished hot water tank that was damaged all along the bottom. When i confronted them about this they told me if they were responsible for the repairs then why does it matter if they put in a used tank? not only is this thing damaged, It's not aesthetically pleasing. Within the first year it broke down and leaked all over my basement 4 times. Each time they sent someone over who claimed it was fixed. The 5th time they finally replaced it and put in a brand new unit. I'm not impressed. Minor issues with their work like venting pipes not glued and just left loose on my furnace outside. Today i called to attempt to set up pre authorized payments and they told me i would have to print the form, fill it out and send it to them by mail. The other option is to create an online account. I attempted to create an online account but my bills don't have my billing number on them. So now i have to call and request my account number just to create my account. something that has taken me literally 10 minutes with the utility, gas and other hot water tank rental companies has now taken me an hour. Be careful of rental contracts. You can never own the appliance. If you want to get out of the contract you have to buy out the 5 year term and pay for their contractor to remove the tank. so just to be clear you payed for the thing many times over and they remove it and use it somewhere else. I won't be giving them my money again in the future.

I have a tank from reliance. I had it upgraded the other week. I mean they respond fast enough. But with the price of copper watch what they do in your place. The tech who replaced my tank saw my setup and cut out a huge piece of copper pipe and replaced it with plexy. No reason to do it he just wanted the copper for scrap. He also wrecked the main line water valve to my house which is now leaking. So I have to do an emergency water shut off to my house with the city to replace the valve myself...

Extremely unprofessional and not responsive at all. I have been trying to book an appointment for more than 40 days now to replace an old exhaust fan in the bathroom. They booked me 4 times and cancelled the appointment ever time at the last moment. Now they told me that nothing is available till August. Because of the delay on their end, the return policy on the exhaust fan which I bought has been expired. Now in case of any issues with the fan, I will have to bear all the cost. I am extremely disappointed and I am looking forward to discontinue all the monthly maintenance services which I purchased from reliance.

The plumbers talk bad of each other. We had to call reliance over and over to have them come back and finish the job. So we purchased a hot water tank elsewhere, and now have an old rusty tank in my garage because Reliance has locked out their employees and will not accept their equipment back. I called Reliance at 7:30 am because I had no hot water. The customer service agent was very polite and helpful. I was told a service person would be at my home within 4 hours and they would call on their way. This enabled me to go ahead and go to work then meet them at my house when they were coming. 2 hours later the service person called and said they could meet me in 30 minutes. THAT WAS GREAT! The subcontractor did a very poor unprofessional job on the install. Reliance promptly sent their install team out to fix the botch job. Their install team were extremely prompt and efficient. The reliance employees went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I have plans for another install. I would use reliance contractors again but not have a subcontractor do a Reliance install - the subcontractor has no vested interest therefore no real pride in the out come.

Leaking became worse, started flooding basement rec room, called back and advised them of new situation, told my appointment was now 4 days out. Called local plumber, was at my home in 1 hour. Couldn’t fix issue as it was a rental but contained the leak. Called contractor re damage cost, $4000, need to ripe up and replace carpet as well as ripping out wall that is wet. Independent plumber and contractor to my home within 3 hrs. Home Reliance not in home for 3-4 days for emergency. Do not rent from this company, their glad to take your money for rentals but when their equipment has problems, they are happy to see your home damaged. Rental beware!!!!!!!

Seven months ago Reliance came into my home for two plumbing issues. The plumber Paul was excellent. At the end of the service I paid Paul in cash the full amount and he initialed paid in cash. Seven and a half months later I get a letter from Reliance that my account is in arrears. (Their accounts receivable must be a mess, who sends a letter 7 months later!) When I called the toll free number the lady asked for proof. Not only did I provide the proof, but the documentation clearly showed I over paid by a couple of dollars. I am more offended that I got the letter in the first place. The lady I spoke with was very rude. I had proof that I paid, where was their proof that I didn't pay? Because I was frustrated and offended I explained I wanted to be reimbursed for my over payment along with 7.5 months interest. The lady said "you only overpaid by$1.68 and you want to be reimbursed?". I said "You wanted me to pay you when you asserted I didn't pay, it works both ways." I further explained if I went into a store and paid $120.00 cash and the bill was $119.00, I would get change of $1.00. It's the principal of the situation. You don't send letters to people when they DON'T owe you money!!! Interesting how she expected me to pay when she thought I owed money, but now that she is in arrears with me she doesn't seem to think she should pay me. Is this how big companies work? Will never ever use Reliance again. Humiliated and Offended!!!

I had a heating & cooling protection and maintenance plan for 3 years. Not once did anyone come for any maintenance work. When I called recently I was told that I should have called to schedule a visit. This defies logic. Most companies would at least call and remind you that a maintenance visit needed to be scheduled. Not Reliance Home Comfort. They happily pocketed the money for 3 years knowing fully well that no one had called and no visits had been made. Shame on you. Cutsomers beware!

I placed a call at 1:30 this morning because of a burning smell coming from my heat vents and the furnace shut off. The best they could do for a priority 1 call was have someone come out 48 hrs later while we are without heat. I have a maintenance plan with them and they have no technicians available. There is no supervisor available. It’s safe to say I will be canceling my plan and in the event a new furnace is needed, I will be getting it elsewhere. No service = terrible service ????

Very inexperienced and unprofessional water heater technicians. I called them for a leakage from the plumbing they did when they installed the rental water heater years ago. Technician came in and tells me that they don't cover these issues although they might have installed it in the past. Opens and closes the gate valve for the cold water. As soon as he leaves, the gate valve starts to leak as well. Later on in the day I myself fixed the original leakage issue. Regarding the leakage on the gate valve that the technician left behind, when booked another service call, the next day, another technician phones and addresses me as "hey" as though I am his buddy. He asked me about the issue, and I explained to him what happened. After listening to me, he mentioned to me that it is a common issue, so he'll come and get it fixed with in half hour. Ten minutes later he calls me again and tells me that the leak was already there, so he'll cancel the service call and won't fix the issue the other technician created by messing with the gate valve. Later it took myself and my neighbour about another half hour to fix the mess the first technician left behind. Absolutely unreliable bunch of water heater technicians with whom I would rather not deal with in future. Not recommended.

Our furnace quit working at 6 pm. I called Reliance and explained what was wrong. The woman at the service center said the earliest repair time would be the next day between 7 and 11. I said that was unacceptable as we had no heat and I pay for a full service plan. She said she was sorry but that was the soonest we could get anyone. I called another Reliance service number and they told me the same thing. However that service person said let me call and see if we have someone on call that can help. She found a serviceman and he came within the hour and repaired my furnace. If I had not pursued the matter with Reliance I would have had a cold night. That second woman offered the service we expected. The first person was totally unacceptable and made me think we needed to find another company to do business with.

I called Reliance on October 12th as our owned water heater unit stopped working. I selected a new rental unit from Reliance and scheduled an installation Oct 13th between 1 and 5. My husband waited until 4 and then let me know they still had not arrived. When I called the main number they said they sent an email to the installation crew to contact us with their ETA. I left for work at 5pm and then called my husband at 8 who advised they No Show/ No Call. I called customer service who made inquiry and advised that the unit was out of stock. I asked why no one let us know and the attendant couldn't explain or advise what was in stock. Needless to say they lost a contract and we are headed to Home Depot in the morning to purchase another one. Terrible Service!

I have had such a problem with this company and lack of attention to the customer. I have made calls to this company to have a new hot water tank installed and they did not remove their old non-functioning hot water tank. I have called countless times and booked time off work via Tues and Thurs and waited for a tech s to remove. One day one tech said he can't do it by himself. I waited all day and took time off work to get this tank removed. Did this again and found the techs say they can't remove it not enough clearance in basement..I find this hard to believe we they installed the new tank. I have requested to speak to customer service and they simply say if you tank the tank out yourself we will have a team pick it up at your residence. If I could do that I would simply have taken it to scrap. Secondly I have called to get explanations on billing and they keep adding interest onto my account in a week it is been $30. I have waited on the phone to speak to billing and you get placed in a queue and wait and wait...and the department is only available from 9-5. I cannot access my on-line account as they blocked my access. I don't think that is legal and I am quite prepared to take legal action at this point. There is no customer operations manager as I repeatedly have been denied to speak to them. Also, I understand there are many unhappy customers and Reliance does not care about the customer.

DO NOT EVER USE RELIANCE. Our heat pump was scheduled to be installed today. I took the day for this as I was told they legally needed someone to be home. No one arrived. I called and was informed that the installer had to have emergency surgery and our install was rescheduled until Tuesday. No problem, frustrating that I was never contacted but what can you do. As a result, I was offered to be mailed a $500 cheque due to the frustration - sweet! I was then emailed “I have spoken with both the sale manger and the install manger, and they did apologize about the install has been booked for Mid Aug as they do not have the unit in stock and will have to wait for this to arrive. I have emailed back to follow up and see if we can do it sooner and they advised they will follow up if possible.”........ so was it because our installer had to have surgery or because they never had the unit?! I called back again and long story short they will no longer give me the promised $500 and cannot do anything until middle of august EVEN THOUGH I BOOKED MY APPOINTMENT FOR TODAY 3 WEEKS AGO. Never ever ever use this company. They do not communicate with you, they make false promises and they essentially screw you over. Horrendous service and I will never use or recommend them ever to anyone.

Personal are always nice and comprehensible they take the time to listen and explain what happening. Sometimes the marketing department can be a bit much with the promotion and offer's but they usually dont pry or pester people. Would definitely recommend as they are fast and most of all efficient.

However, the call centre taking the initial all and making the appointment leaves a lot to be desired. It took much longer than it should have to make the appointment with me having to repeat myself several times, and the person on the other end had an accent so pronounceable that it barely resembled English. I actually asked the person why it was taking so long. I believe I am a very patient person, but this was inexcusable.

As the temperature outside dropped and with continuous rain, I saw a puddle at the bottom of my Furnace. I tried to check for any clogged drainage valves myself at first, but everything was clear. Thankfully, I was still having my Reliance Home comfort coverage and called them, took a service Technician appointment at my convenient time. Price was good, sales associate was good. One member of the three member installation crew was a bit gruff and unpleasant to converse with. Main problems were: 1 - the ac condenser installed was faulty (didn't work). 2 - A ~2" hole was drilled through the wall for the refrigeration lines and improperly sealed. At first Reliance was going to repair the condenser but they then decide to replace outright which I was happy with. They also came back and resealed the hole with silicone (previously there was clear gap in the seal), after some further discussion they agreed to seal the hole with expanding home aswell (which to me I think any hvac installation would do without asking). At the end of the day my system is in and appears to be functioning. The end result should be satisfactory but it was not a straight forward route to get there.

Most pleased with the Service Technician, Rob, who attended today. He called before his arrival, was friendly, helpful and very kind. He instructed me on every step of his inspection and repair. He found a problem never notice by other Technicians, and has taken steps to make necessary repairs, ordered parts, for a second visit. I recommend Rob for further visits, at our home or wherever he is sent. On the down side, I regret, I was disappointed last Wednesday, when I called the Reliance call centre, and was informed, there was nobody available to attend to examine and address our furnace problem, until the following day, which meant we could be without a working furnace. The furnace started acting up, Saturday/Sunday, so I called again Sunday morning and made arrangements for today's visit. This call taker (Heidi), Sunday morning was very understanding and was making arrangements to send someone right away. We were going to be out for the day and made arrangements for today. On Wednesday, last week, I spoke to a Supervisor (Paula), who instructed me to purchase two portable heaters, at a reasonable price, and submit the purchase to a Reliance department and I would be reimbursed. As I indicated, "I pay for the service, I want heat". The supervisor was friendly and instructed me to turn the furnace off and turn it back on to reset it, which worked, until Saturday. Although, the experience was a let down, and shouldn't happen, I'm satisfied with today's outcome. Sincerely, Tom

New to the Napanee area, I called Reliance based on their positive reviews. Selecting "commercial" from the automated menu, I was connected to a receptionist and discussed the services I needed. I needed an inspection for a gas boiler for a 7 unit building. I explained I live 1.5 hours away but was assured the agent would call before arriving. I drove 1.5 hours to be told by the agent, who called before his arrival, that Reliance doesn't service commercial boilers. OK, well that was a huge waste of time. The agent passed my name to a 3rd party company. Receiving no callback, I called Reliance and explained my story, provide my address, and asked for the 3rd party's contact information. I called the number provided, only to be told they don't service my location. Wow, really!? OK, so I see Reliance isn't reliable. I need to stop calling as it seems they don't know what services they offer or who to call. The only positive thing was the agent that came to the building was very nice.

Had new furnace and A/C installed the first week in Dec of 2020. Went out to uncover the A/C to use this year....HMMMMMM...no cover...except the plywood we used to cover the old unit....notices the unit was damaged...they did not tell us in Dec. Called and reported the damage, sent pics and was told The office probably wont do anything about it. Turned on the A/C..14 hours later the house has gone down 2 degrees. Called again..he doesnt work there anymore. SO another call to the 1800 number...got the run around for days. Finally spoke with the CRS manager. She told me to send her pic and I did,she was suppose to contact me within the hour and here we are STILL....NO RESPONSE. I am so frustrated Im to the point that i want a FULL REFUND and they can come and get their stuff and I will go elsewhere

The gentleman who answered the call sounded like he just rolled out of bed. He took all my information down and said I would have a tech at my place between 10am & 2pm on the same day I called. Thanks, William, for the furnace inspection. Not only did William identify issues BEFORE they could become major problems (such as a saddle valve that really should be replaced before I have a catastrophic flood) but he patiently explained everything. Now I have a follow-up on appointment on Monday to fix the issue for good. Somehow, I couldn't leave my detailed review so here it goes. I have all my services with Reliance for years and hope they carry our confidence as always. The current job was an HRV installation and a central humidifier along with some led pot lights in ceiling. The team included Michael McMaster, Brenden, Kyle and Mike. They arrived well in time and started with floor protection and ended by getting all cleaned up. Michael has always been very helpful whenever he comes for the service call and this time he went above all to guide through the right way. The new place where we moved didn't have exhausts so we were deciding whether having exhausts installed versus HRV. Michael co ordinated with Branden and infact was able to visit with him for a thorough discussion about work and helping us to to go for HRV which for sure was a right decision. Branden is very knowledgeable and go on answering every question in his scope of work. For us the important thing was to make a knowledgeable decision and then look for the installers which stand for their work for years to come and Reliance definitely do. I will also like to mention about Ben Freeman, who was the sales advisor and was always available to answer the questions through email and texts and even on the day of installation, he coordinated to make sure that job is well taken care of.

Furnace stopped working when the temperature was -30c. Called Reliance at 8:30 am and the technician (Bill) showed up in about 1.5 hours. Bill is very knowledgeable, pleasant and made the experience comforting. He cleaned the burner, flushed out condensate and did what needed to be done to get the furnace operating. All is working well. Service was excellent and the protection plan is well worth the money. Total cost for the service etc. was ZERO!!!!, can't ask for a better price to get your furnace operating. I recently needed service on my water heater. This was during the busy holidays when many companies don't answer the phone. Someone came out the same day and repaired it within the hour.
