Unforeseen circumstances turned this into what could have been a disaster, but Mike, the electrician doing the job, was persistent and professional. Even with the less than ideal situation, the job was done for less than the competitor's quote, which did not factor in the problem encountered. Holmes electric was contacted because our strata street lamps were burning out, they sent electrician Rod to investigate and he tested and investigated parts needed, which were no longer available, the owner became involved and recommended l.e.d. replacements and researched and ordered, . holmes handled everything - and kept me informed from start to finish, great out come new lamps- professionally installed and will pay back with reduced costs. treated like we were there only customer

These guys go above and beyond to satisfy their customers. I called them, definitely on short notice, and they fit my reno work (2 whole days!) into their busy summer schedule to make sure my house was a safe place for my two small kids. Exposed wires and downed walls were no place for kids! Mike Holmes was extremely pleasant and courteous. The electrician he sent out, Mike, had been doing electrical for many many years and had the experience, knowledge, and efficiency I was hoping for to get the job done right, and FAST! Super friendly and extra sweet were an added bonus. He made sure he explained everything and that I was completely satisfied before he left. Pulling proper permits and arranging all the inspections was also an added bonus, so I didn't have to worry about doing that either! Like I said, above and beyond. Much appreciated. The work that I had done from Holmes Electric was very impressive. What took other electrical companies an hour to get the job done, took Holmes Electric 10 minutes. The workers are efficient, and explained everything to me in a way that actually made sense to someone who has no clue as to what they were doing. I was happy with the price, happy with the work done. Trying to get a hold of other electricians was a challenge, always being redirected and put on hold, with Holmes Electric I was put through to speak with someone immediately, answering all my questions to the full extent and being able to get someone to work on the problem within a couple of days. Great work you guys, I would recommend you any day.

Called them up wanting an estimate for some work. Someone eventually got back to me. I briefly described the work I wanted done and asked for him to come and do an estimate. He said he did not need to come out to do an estimate and he would email me an estimate. NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN!!! Stay away from this place. I had to give 1 star only because I had to in order to post this.

He looked it over and they called BC HYDRO. BC Hydro disconnected my lpowerlines while Holmes Electric put it all back together again. Within 8 hrs of the accident Holmes Electric had our power back on....and at a very reasonable cost. Very fast and efficient service by Mike Holmes and his crew. We like to say "if you want the job done right then contact Mike Holmes" We first met Mike Holmes in Feb. of 2012. We had just moved to Lake Country from Vancouver Island, did not know anyone and needed help with some renovations and electrical work. Luckily for us we picked up a business card for his company from the local hardware store here in lake Country. With the name "Mike Holmes" we felt this was the company we needed to contact. We are so happy we did. Not only did Mike put us at ease right away and answered all of our questions, he and his great team tended to all of our concerns and made the whole process come together in a very short period of time. They took all the hard work out of this renovation process, suggested options and together we put it all together. We couldn't be happier with all the work that has been done. Now when we have a question or need advice on some project we have [and there are many] we call Mike first-- he is always there to help and has the knowledge to direct us to whomever we may need .
