They have performed services varying from major (complete furnace,air conditioner and hot water tank replacement) to tap replacement. Most recently Colin came to do a complete home plumbing inspection. He was efficient, thorough and very professional. We would definitely recommend Border Plumbing, Heating & Electrical for any services they provide.

My hot water tank stopped working on a Sunday afternoon with a house full of people. I called Border & explained that my husband has terminal cancer & it is imperative that I have hot water. Within a few hours they sent out Tyson. He got it running but as life would happen, it didn’t last. I called them again that evening & they sent out Chris & Tyson the very next afternoon & installed my new hot water tank. I can’t say enough of how much this was appreciated. They got the heat back on and showed us how to operate her gas fireplace, too. We were very thankful to the young man that came. I find they are very expensive when a senior calls because they don't know how to operate a heating system. ????????????

Our home AC system broke down going into the hottest week of the year. I fully expected to have to wait a week or two , but the dispatcher fit us in the same day! The technician Peter was extremely professional and found the problem right away. We discussed the options and he was able to repair it right then and there. He was very honest, and did not try to upsell me on things I didn't need. I will use this company again and will sign up for their yearly maintenance service because of how friendly and helpful the technician was. Highly recommended!

Denver worked with my tight schedule and called to confirm before the visit. I really appreciated the follow up. They also called to confirm the installation time and followed all covid protocols which I was very impressed. The installers Luke and Warren showed up on time and carried out the install while maintaining covid protocols. They answered all questions and made sure everything was explained. Customer service is excellent. As we had been warned on Dec 30th, relighting the pilot light was probably not going to be a successful fix to the hot water tank. We discovered this at 4:50 pm so we called Border again and Mike was very helpful and said he would have Paul at our house in the morning. Paul came on New Year's Eve and replaced our hot water tank. He was very thorough, efficient and friendly. We enjoyed chatting with him. We appreciated the service received and how quickly things got done and while no one likes to spend money replacing a hot water tank, Border made it easier.

Highly recommended! Cory from Border did a great job installing a new kitchen sink and faucet for us, which was not a simple install being that the drains in the new sink were further back and the tubs larger, and therefore took a lot of reconfiguring in all the drainage connections and the countertop hole for the sink had to be enlarged. I hired Border to reline my water main based on a $10,000.00 estimate. When the work was completed they told me that the price would be considerably higher due to the difficulty in digging the trench and the Hydro-Vac company they hired gave them a bill that was a lot higher than they expected and the cost would be closer to $20,000.00. I was shocked and in disbelief. A week and a half later I received an invoice for $25,000.00. I met with Phil to discuss this huge increase and he basically told me there was nothing more they can do. The bill is correct and they are even giving me a discount. The job was supposed to take 2.5 days but it took 5. There were 2 days that we had their 2 technicians sit in my driveway in their vehicles for the majority of both days waiting for the Hydro-vac truck to arrive. When I called Phil to let him know that they weren't doing any work and just sitting outside he told me that their downtime would not be billed to me. They failed the inspection twice, the second one failed because they did not dig deep enough and did not put insulation in before they filled the hole. They had to dig it back out and insulate it and fill it back in. this took the majority of day 3. The bill for the plumbing labour was $8,881.25. I asked for a breakdown of how they are charging but Phil has refused to give me anything in writing. I do understand that there was heavy rock and large boulders which slowed down the process. But I do not agree with the huge increase in the final invoice.

Then he said that he is just an agent and that he did not have the answers and I asked to transfer the chat to someone that does and he then says he is off site and to call the number. What is the point of a chat feature is you are not able to answer questions?

Aug 19 our washer overflowed. Later in day thermostat temp started climbing. Temp in house 24 thermostat 32. Changed thermostat. Husband ill so could not install so called Border. Young fellow came out and husband said washer over flowed could be water in ducts. He installed thermostat then left. Temp in house 24 temp on thermostat 32. Called and they sent another guy. Again he was asked f water could be in ducts from washer overflow. Wall is now very hot. Young fellows says we need an electrician. Called our son who sent over his plumber in morning and within 5 minutes of hearing washer overflowed found the problem. Ducts full of water. Called Border who said their guys were not told washer overflowed and they had only charged us for the morning call plus 75 to hook up thermostat. If they came out again we would be charged another fee plus whatever the repairs were. They as much as said we lied so I told them we would take care of it ourselves. My opinion very shoddy business. Thank goodness our sons plumber is an honest businessman

Initially had a decent experience with Border Mechanical. They provided us with what we thought was expert advice and repaired our heat pump (HVAC system) in our condo in the summer for around 3500 dollars. However, during this last cold snap around Christmas we were experiencing high energy bills and it appeared that the HVAC system was mainly supplying our condo with cold air. We decided to contact the Border "the experts" to find out if the issue was possibly with the system they repaired in the summer. We were told immediately that they would need to come out to inspect at a cost of 189 dollars. We suggested that they provided a 18 month warranty so would it not be covered under the warranty? The person told us they had no idea and needed to talk to the manager to find out. Shortly afterwards we received a call from a manager I believe and they stated that if it was related to their service work in the summer there would be no charge. The technician then proceeded to come by and inspect the unit and he determined that the system was fine and that it was just the unusually cold weather causing the issue then he immediately requested payment of the 189 dollars. Frustrated that they would charge for something that I believed they simply should have known to be the issue "they are the experts right - they had the information for the type of system we had. I stated that I would call around to find out if others were experiencing the same issue in the building before discussing payment with them. However, it appears that they had our credit card information from the first service request on hand and decided to just set up payment without our approval. Perhaps, my idea of ideal business model is either outdated or just not highly profitable as I believe we have a duty to provide our past clients with our expert advice that they relying upon to make informed decisions; indeed, shouldn't the manager and/or technician have known that the likely cause was the unusual cold weather and at least attempted to explain that as a possible outcome prior to suggesting a technician visit the property? Guess that wouldn't be profitable in their business model.

He found that the motor was not working in our furnace and replaced it. I have been dealing with Border for a few years now. They show up on time and advise and repair what needs attention. Dayton and Ryan came early Monday morning to install a new furnace for me. They installed and had the new furnace up and running in about 5 hours. They installed a new thermostat and had a look at my gas fire place that stopped working. Ryan noticed the sparker had disconnected and fixed that up for me. The guys where friendly answered all my questions , explained what I needed to know. Actual plumbing work-done well. The rest....not happy with. Exorbitant pricing-which I unfortunately agreed to prior to work beginning. Lesson learned to not go with a company that won't give rough estimates. My brother is a plumber in the lower mainland and was shocked at what I paid for what was done. His company's price would have been approx 60% of what I paid with Border. I was not given a f/u phone call or emailed photos of my drain clogs as promised after work completed (I wasn't home when work performed). Will not use this company and and will not recommend.

Thank-you to the team at Border for the excellent service. During a very busy time and an AC down I feared being without cooling in my house. I called at 7 AM and spoke to a lady ( sorry I forgot your name ) who assured me that despite the West Kelowna team being on a big job that day that someone could come by after 5 PM and that Matt would call when they were on their way. I got a call at 4:30 PM and very shortly after Myles appeared and had us up and running in less than an hour. Highly recommend this company.

I called Wrightman's but their number went to Border. The fellow came and after I explained what the issue was he told me that they couldn't even get parts for my OLD furnace! He suggested I get a new one and they could get me one for about $6500. umm... I didn't have that kind of money so I was at a loss as to what to do. I must say here that I did not like his attitude but he was in my furnace room, so I was already into this for $99. He put in a new $13 filter and the charge was $117,60. When he left I was so upset and it bothered me that my first impressions were so off-putting. But, I still had to deal with the issue. After he left I wanted to call another place but knew I just didn't have the $$ to put it out again, half way to Christmas! Today I had another company come and was told that the parts for my furnace were very available and he proceeded to fix the issue without any problems. I will absolutely be writing a glowing review on this new company and will be looked after by them year after year. BTW, my furnace is not a youngster, neither am I, but like me it still had plenty of life left and as of this moment is working quietly and correctly!

They start with a $99.00 dispatch fee - I guess thats the privilege of talking to somebody on the phone; one would assume thats the service fee to show up but not the case. They were called to look at a minor issue with a toilet but I asked the fellow if he could reverse 2 plumbing hoses (hot to cold) under the sink and I signed a work order for $340 plus dollars which was a big mistake on my part . It took the guy about 15 minutes and he asks if there is any thing else? Of course I said did you forget about the toilet issue that was the purpose of the service call and he tells me he will give me a quote to look at it - are you serious ? $340.00 already and you have only been here half an hour and now you want to charge to just look at the toilet? I fixed the toilet myself with the plumber present, I just hooked up a hose that came off faster than the argument about the quote just to look at it. I called their office twice to resolve but they simply don’t care and I never got a return call.

Justin was here for 2 hours analyzing , testing everything. The report he produced was very detailed accompanied by pictures, readings etc documenting everything. I give Border Plumbing 5 stars for OVERCHARGING THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! They bill you on the worst case scenario EX: you have a plugged kitchen sink that is a set price, then you have a water leak, then you ask the tech they send to fix something else. Each item has a price based on the worst case, so if you have agreed to pay their quote of $1200 and the tech at your house is finished in an hour + there stupid $99 show up fee. i would feel very ripped off!!! because it is a rip off Shop around and******* DON'T USE THIS COMPANY******
