From the very beginning when we initially requested a quote, to keeping in touch leading up to our panel upgrade, to completing the work and clean up, they were very professional, punctual and did amazing work. We ran into a problem with our phone line that would have been very inconvenient if it hadn't been fixed. When our service provider wouldn't fix it due to Covid restrictions, Totally Electric looked after it right away. Totally electric did a potlight installation in our basement. The experience was amazing. First, Billy was able to source lights that did exactly what we wanted. They are relatively new on the market, but he found them and researched them. He also gave some great advice on what to do in particular rooms. The crew he sent was exactly on time (730 am), they finished the installation in good time, and then stayed to help us set up the "smart features." There were some connectivity issues, and the leader of the crew, Alex, stayed for almost FIVE HOURS to help us fix it. I can't even express how wonderful this company is. Use them!!!!!

Initially, when first contacted for enquiries about the type of service my family and I would need, they were extremely responsive and cared about what were our needs for the house. Tim took the time to inspect, discuss with us what could be our options and provided us extremely valuable information on what we were looking for. Liaison and coordination with NS Power was required and they took care of everything, no hassle for us. The crew showed up on time, did all the required work and cleaned up any mess repairs could have done. The company replaced old wiring and moved a few wall outlets in our home. The electricians were punctual, exceedingly friendly and courteous and very considerate in cleaning up at the end of the day. And Alex -- The Fishin' Magician -- worked hard to keep the number of holes in the walls to a minimum. Although more work became necessary as the project progressed (and more old wiring was discovered), the company rearranged schedules so the work could be finished the next day, and the final bill was fair. The first-time customer's thank-you card and gift certificate were an unexpected, but very nice, bonus. All in all it was an excellent experience.

From the detailed quote to completion of the work and clean up everything went as planned and on time. I called my regular electrician but after a week, I didn't get a response. We then called Totally Electric and they returned my call within the allotted time after leaving them a message. Two days later, Alex and Matt showed up to tackle my very old electrical system (pre-1956) which was quite a mess. These gentlemen worked quickly and efficiently and were very professional and friendly. They not only repaired the obvious, but other issues that became very apparent when revealed when they could have just ignored them. We are handy, and have done some basic wiring in our home, but the electrical nightmare we uncovered required professional electricians and we were not disappointed. They explained issues and resolved them in a very timely manner. I highly recommend this business to anyone who has an older home, especially with pre-1956 wiring, as well as any other electrical issues you require professional electricians. Totally electric has been our go-to electricians for some time now. They have done numerous projects throughout our home. They have helped us with lighting, smoke detectors and nest thermostats. Recently we completed a major backyard reno. Totally Electric completely tricked out our landscape and patio lighting. When it comes to electrics, you need capable and competent people working on your home. With us safety comes first. The people at Totally-Electric certainly filled the bill for us. In April 2019 we had the main circuit box replaced and asked for a whole home inspection to a house we purchased a year ago. We also had them install a separate generator switch box and outlet. Their work was on time, on budget and first rate. We will be having them back when we move to the renovation stage. I don't normally write reviews but I think they deserve one as we are really pleased with their work

We asked friends for recommendations and they named other local Halifax companies -- but said they really weren't that good. So we tried one on our own (a smaller outfit, but one that had good reviews). They turned out to be awful! I won't go into details, but we actually had to ask the person to leave our house. And the next person the company sent tried to pad the hours. Then came Totally Electric (insert angels playing harps here). Their quote was fair, the worker (Tim) showed up on time, was super friendly, efficient and thoughtful about how the work would be done so as to maintain the integrity of the ceiling/wall/house. He explained things clearly and addressed how the work might affect future changes we made to the house, etc. He cleaned up after himself. He was caring. And he even left a little thank-you gift that was above & beyond. Tim said he loved working at Totally Electric and has been for over 10 years since he became certified. I know there are other electric companies in Halifax that have good reviews, but this company actually lives up to their 5-stars!!!!!!!!
