The team at 1st electric just completed a Solar System install on my home. I could not be happier with the end result! I originally picked 1st electric because their craftsmanship seemed above the norm and they absolutely delivered on that. The system looks great, all wires are hidden away through my attic, solar panels are well symmetrically located on my roof, inverter and AC on/off switch professionally installed around my main panel and NSPI meter. Chad and the installation team were fantastic to deal with through the entire process. They took care of all permits, inspections, and SolarHomes rebate application and paperwork. The system is now generating and I don't think I'll ever have to pay for power ever again! I would definitely recommend 1st electric to friends and family.

We had a 11kW solar panel system installed by 1st Electric recently and couldn't be happier. Chad is one of the nicest most easy going contractors I've had the pleasure of dealing with who was in communication with us every step of the way. All the guys that showed up for installing the system were knowledge, polite and proficient at what they were doing. The system consisted of Canadian Solar 340W panels, SolarEdge power optimizers (one panel is shaded doesn't cause the other panels to reduce production!) along with a PowerEdge inverter. I had research the equipment after the quote and everything I dug up showed they were installing quality products. I'm now looking at how much power I'm producing and realizing the savings I'm going to see over the long term and couldn't be happier. Thanks for the great install 1st Electric!

Because it was a Mast replacement, they also had to coordinate with Nova Scotia Power. They completed the work prior to the closing which was amazing. I had my first interaction with 1st Electric in the spring of 2021. I was looking to have a heat pump installed and 1st Electric came to my home to do a panel assessment. Chad, the owner, came out and looked at our panel and found some concerning things. I immediately thought “they are just trying to up sell” I was very wrong. Chad insisted that his only priority was safety and he and his crew demonstrated that time and time again. He walked me through what he found and the danger that my home and family was in. My home had an old 100amp panel and the bars inside were loose and likely arcing. Chad explained he would quote the minimum to make the panel safe and install a heat pump. He did that and I found the price very reasonable so I asked him to quote out an upgrade to 200 amps, which is what we ultimately went with and I am sure happy we did. As part of the 200 amp upgrade his team went the extra mile to bring my electrical up to code and I’m doing so found 3 serious electrical dangers hidden in my walls. I was beyond happy with their quality of work, their professionalism, their enthusiastic nature and most of all the friendly people they have working for them. From the people who take your call, to the people doing the quote, billing, installation and everything in between everyone at 1st Electric is outstanding. Fast forward a few months and my Mom decided to buy a house and have a generator installed, so we called 1st electric. They quoted, provided and installed a generac whole home generator and again provided an outstanding service. They drove out to Claire Municipality from HRM to install the generator and through the whole process were available to answer questions, provide advice and ensure their services and products were right for the project. I will only be using 1st Electric in the future and you should to.

Highly recommend 1st Electric for any electrical work you need done. Chad and his team have done jobs for us in the past and every time everyone is professional, knowledgeable and extremely friendly and helpful. This year we were lucky enough to have our pool and hot tub installed after being on the wait list for a year. As soon as I had an install date for the pool and hot tub, I called 1st Electric and spoke to Chad. I explained the tight timeline we were under as the pool installer was fitting us in, Chad was more then accommodating us with ensuring all our needs for the pool and hot tub would be done he would take care of us. And that he did! Aside from the hot tub and pool, they upgraded our panel box, recommended a great guy to do our trenching, and coordinated all inspections through Nova Scotia Power. Gerald did a great job of coordinating the crew and meeting our needs in a very friendly professional manner. The electricians who were on site also were phenomenal!
