I called Electrique SBD to do an electrical inspection requested by insurance due to aluminum wiring. There was lots that needed to be fixed (panel replacement, pigtail all outlets&switches to copper) so I was did not like the thought of having to spend a lot of money to correct it. Dragos of Electrique SBD gave me a great price to get the work done (better rate than quoted elsewhere) and did great work - didn't cut corners and left the place tidy.

While I appreciate coming onsite with short notice (every other ones were turning me away), I felt that I was taking advantage of the situation. As soon as he looked at the panel, right away I was recommended to change the whole panel, which would cost thousands of dollars. He also push for "cash" no other methods of payment. The rate I paid by cash was pretty standard for the visit, however he didn't really do much rather than recommending me to change the whole electrical panel. I am glad that I got the 2nd opinion as we are sleeping warm without breaking the bank tonight. I saw many good reviews, so it could have been under the different situation, but my experience was not very good today.

Dragos was not only punctual, professional, clean, safe (because of covid - he wore a mask the entire time and washed his hands), but he was communicative and kind. The electrical box in our condo was not improperly labelled, a breaker switch was broken and some wires were not properly hooked up.
