I had Robert, the owner, come to my house for an estimate. I had an organized list of what need to be addressed. I had exterior and interior electrical needs. Literally almost every thing that I wanted performed seemed like it was too much for him to manage; i.e., he displayed absolutely no confidence in being able to perform electrical work. I am talking about simple stuff like installing a ceiling light fixture or installing an outlet over a fireplace. He gave the impression that everything seemed very difficult to perform. Well, apparently my perception of his electrical inabilities was accurate. He never contacted me after the initial visit and never e-mailed (or mailed) me with an invoice/proposal. Upon calling his office 2 weeks later after not hearing from him I spoke to his secretary, left a message, and he still never put forth any effort to contact me. If you are not interested in the job or it exceeds your abilities, then be a professional and just say so. Don't waste my time by hiding from me or ignoring a potential customer. Poor business practices.

Zacher Electric came through for me in a Saturday night when all the other electricians were either out for the weekend or charging ENORMOUS rates just to show up. The on-call tech (Adam) took the time to troubleshoot with me over the phone before I'd paid a cent. When he came out, he was fast and courteous and absolutely solved our problem (at less than half of what the other guy would have cost). THANK YOU ZACHER!

i had called them about an electric problem at my business at 10:15 AM, i explained a=everything and she told me she was gonna send someone in an hour or 2. i called back at 3:10pm and she said there isnt anybody available to send over> REALLLLYYY?!?!?! .... 5 hours and i even had to call them or i wouldve never gotten a reply. STAY AWAY!!! WORST SERVICE EVER!!! 8/26/2014

These guys are great. Super knowledgeable. Super friendly. Super honest. They show up on time and don’t waste time on the job. Very flexible and easy to work with. We continue to be very pleased with their service after having used them for 4-5 items.

I called multiple times about a problem with my breakers after another electrical contractor told me I should get new service. Meaning that I could replace the box and breakers or just replace the mains which were two 50 amp breakers. He was supposed to get back to me but he didn’t. Probably because he is a relative who told me he wasn’t doing family jobs anymore. So I called Zacher Electric and explained the situation expecting to hear back from someone. It never happened and I called again add again. Each time the office left the impression that they screen calls to the extreme. They did. And they never once stated or indicated they were not going to get back to me. They did say they would pass it along. No one ever called me to schedule or ask for more information if that’ was the issue for not getting back to me. Here’s the thing, the two women I spoke to were kind of obnoxious because they acted like know-it-alls . But I was courteous and patient , while hoping and expecting to get an appointment scheduled. Today I called back on another phone and asked to speak to the office manager. I was transferred to the woman I spoke to yesterday. She said she was Pat. I told her I needed help but hadn’t been contacted by anyone, especially an electrician. She replied that they don’t do repairs. I asked ; How did she know what was needed without having someone look at the job first ? She became defensive and repeated they didn’t do repairs. What a very controlling person she is. I told her I was prepared to get all new service if that’s what is needed but why would I want to do business with them when they assume an awful lot and don’t return calls. I finally hung up because she tried to say I wouldn’t let her explain. Explain what? I can’t believe how much effort I put into trying to set up an appointment but was jerked around by the overbearing call screening office manager. I would never recommend this business for anything unless you like getting the run around.

Called Zacher Electric to install hot tub. Electrician Mike came to our home smiling and on time. His level of service was excellent. He had a very difficult job to do, crawling under a very small crawl space under the addition of our house in order to have the install comply with very stringent town codes. When he left he was physically exhausted but still smiling. We got compliments from the hot tub company the next day on the quality of the install. Highly recommend Mike with Zacher.

These guys show up FAST when you need them. They've saved our butts more times than I can count when we were remodeling and moving equipment around and needed to keep things running. Their people are reliable, polite and thoughtful -- I never worry about them doing work in areas where we have people still working at their desks. They are aware of putting our business first and never just turn off breakers without asking. They always leave the electrical system better than they found it by consolidating, cleaning out dead lines, simplifying runs and making things more efficient. They are on time, on-spec and on budget - every time. Their prices are reasonable and they tell you up front so there are no surprises. I'm actually kinda worried about posting this because when everyone finds out how amazing they are, I'll probably have to wait in line!!! LOL Actually - since Zacher puts customer service first, that probably won't ever happen either. Issue started late at night and I couldn't figure it out and was worried about safety, so I called hoping to leave a message and I was able to do so. (There is also an option for emergencies 24/7 fyi.) The following morning I received a call early and they were able to come out the same day which I was super happy about. The issue was discovered and repaired, made safe and while he was here he was able to fix another issue I was concerned about as well. I am happy about my experience with this company start to finish.

STAY AWAY FROM ZACHER ELECTRIC! The owner stole money from an employee’s check that was to go to his pension and did not live up to an agreement my father and him made for a company contribution to his pension. I’m sure my dad isn’t the only one he’s scammed over the years!!

The main circuit breaker in our house was corroded and we didn't know it - one afternoon we lost power to the whole house. My husband works from home so this was a major problem for us. We called late afternoon, they came out that same day with no additional charges. Bob was the electrician and he was very knowledgeable. He did the job quickly, equalling only one hour of labor and parts! Definitely recommend this company.

between 2 days and 4 phone calls no one ever showed up to my house to address a major electrical problem I was having. They are horribly unreliable, disorganized and unconcerned with their customers. I'll be hosting a party for my daughter tomorrow with no electricity in my bathrooms.

My experience began over a weekend when the business was closed. I did not have an emergency, just flickering lights. I reached out via the company's website figuring I would have to call on Monday anyway. I was pleasantly surprised with both an email and a friendly call on Monday. I spoke to an angel named Annette who listened carefully while I explained my issue and then asked appropriate questions. She scheduled an appointment at my convenience. That brought Matt to my residence. He diagnosed and fixed the problem professionally and quickly. He even replaced a faulty ceiling fixture for me. From start to finish, everything was positive. I have not seen the tiniest flicker since. Would I recommend them? You bet!

The receptionist is rude as hell!!! She turned down my work order and no and no explanation !! she then insulted me by saying we do not work for maintenance companies... ummm did I mention we are a maintenance company ?? NO I DID NOT she just assumed! Call them at your own risk! Horrible customer service !

I was a first time customer, just moved to NY. Power went off in half my house around noon time. Our condo maintenance man recommended Zacher. Zacher said they would try to fit me in by the end of the day. They arrived about 3:00PM, repaired and upgraded my electrical box and we're gone by 3:45pm. Couldn't have been any nicer or more professional. The problem was solved and the charge was very reasonable. They could have over charged me but they didn't. Zacher is my new electrician.

A few hiccups I was upset. I called to have the rest of the work completed this morning an older lady answered the phone who apparently was the one who dropped the ball and doesn’t know how to own up to her mistake and apologize. The only thing that she could do is criticize and exaggerate my reaction to work which I thought would be done differently. One customer loss no biggie, but no referrals and bad reviews...May be time to find more customer service friendly people answering the phones. Also the communication has to be better- if something doesn’t go as planned that can easily be explained prior to completing the work differently than expected so that questions don’t arise after the fact leaving the customer unsure work was completed correctly. Side note- not a good idea to put Verizon equipment into work van. It’s property of Verizon, not the employees to take when they are done.
