In January 2017 when I was in the process of buying a house I needed a rough estimate of the cost of upgrades to a home I was putting an offer on. When I explained this to Kevin before even having bought the home he was kind enough to give me an estimate within 24 hours. After I bought my new home I had Kevin and Tracy come in to renew the stack, entire new box and other upgrades. They coordinated everything, communicated timelines clearly and worked through the glitches that arise with any renovation/ upgrade all at a very acceptable price. Now that I am ready for some more upgrades, I have called them again without even looking elsewhere and when I have upgrades in the future will continue to do so.

Bought a home that was built in '87 And needed a new electrical panel. I had 5 estimates and Stack was the lowest by $750. They showed up early and finished the work and provided me with paperwork tonput with my home papers. They also put a great heater in my garage gym for next to nothing. I was going to put a bunch of space heaters in their but Kevin had an extra high power energy efficient heater that really helps as it's getting cold and my garage is uninsulated. In would not hesitate to call them in the future.

Fairly disappointed took me 3 appointments made to have a no show. 1st one got cancelled and rescheduled and I had to take time off work for him to come thinking he's going to start the job on the upper level for no power that day of. Turns out it was just to "see" what's wrong so me and the family were quite disappointed considering we were already out of power 3 weeks in. Tells us we cannot start today and will need to do it another day preferably in the AM so I'm like ok sure when, thinking a few days or a week max...no 3 weeks away which is a long time. I get a phone call the day before and tells me they have a family emergency (sorry to hear and unfortunate) and tells me they are unable to make this and have to cancel after 3 weeks of wait. Extremely disappointed more upset the fact that all this time wasted on waiting to have you cancel? And recommend us to find someone to look at it now? Not cool. I believed you could've banged out this job easily under a couple hours, and I'm sure you could've tried to really squeeze us into the schedule but you mention you prefer it to be morning. If you would have done it in the afternoon maybe we would've had this power issue dealt with weeks ago or we were just not priority.

The consistent high-quality, the quick response time, and fair value all together in one package, Kevin and Tracy are diamonds in the rough in the world of home renovation. They've done a ton of work for me after buying a new house, from rewiring 2 panels and a whole basement to installing a new dryer line to my upstairs unit, and I will be calling them back when I need more done in the future. Kevin and Tracie did a complete rewire of the century home we purchased this year. They did an inspection and gave us a realistic picture of the work required and the time it would take. We had a tight schedule, as we needed to vacate our previous residence. They stuck to the timeline as promised - even finishing about half a day early. One thing that really sticks with me about my experience with Stack Electric is the excellent communication that took place throughout the process. We were regularly updated and consulted on progress. Kevin struck me as an honest person who takes pride in good work. If you are looking for an electrician who will cut corners and do the job on the cheap, he's probably not your guy. I paid a fair price for a big job done on time and on budget. I'll definitely be turning to them again next time I need electrical work done.

I highly recommend Stack Electric - an excellent company. The level of knowledge and skill that Stack Electric provides is high and the ability to diagnose faults is excellent. Prices were very reasonable particularly because the work was done right the first time. I highly recommend this company. A house that my wife and I bought recently had been renovated by the sellers and after we took possession, we found out the stove and dryer did not work. Kevin diagnosed the problem, fixed it by correctly wiring the 240 Volt supply, and he then did a walk around, pointing out several other problems, including two faulty outlets that were not properly grounded. Because Kevin and Tracy are so busy, there was not time that day to fix the outlets. In a second visit to fix the outlets, what they uncovered was some of the worst wiring they had ever seen. Sadly, it is all too common these days for renovators to cheap out and try to do as much of the work as possible, without hiring skilled tradespeople. This is a disaster in the making. The outlets they fixed turned out to be ungrounded and there was evidence of unshielded wires - bare electrical conductors. Thankfully, the problem was fixed and the hazard has been removed.

The outlet for our clothes dryer melted and took the dryer plug with it. Kevin and Tracy were able to come over within 48 hours and checked our house to make sure there were no problems with the system, then replaced the outlet and the dryer plug. They only charged an hour + parts, and were thorough, friendly, fair, and professional. In a separate case, they also helped resolve an issue for my mother-in-law at her apartment and did so at what I would describe as a very generous rate. I've had nothing but great experiences with Stack and have been recommending them to friends and family. Highly recommended!

Moved in Burlington in December and when we tried to hook up our electric dryer ILO the previous owner's gas dryer, we realized that we could not get it powered on, We then discovered that it was not connected to our main electric panel. a hot tub had been installed and the last 240volt was used to power it. The panel was full and could not hold any more breakers. We called Stack Electric and they replied within minutes with a promise to call us. Kevin called quickly and offered the solution to replace the panel which was acceptable. He also offered to come the next day, a Sunday to come disconnect our AC and plug our dryer in its place so we could function with a dryer. Tracie and Kevin handled contacting the city to arrange for the power to be shut off and they showed up as scheduled, on time and completed the work on time. Actually while we were waiting for the city guys to come back, they helped me fish some cable through the basement ceiling. All in all, an extremely good service experience and would use them again for sure!

Very impressed with the service. I called very late Monday afternoon and Kevin answered the phone and made arrangements to come to my home on Wednesday. Tracie called as they were on their way and they arrived ahead of schedule. An issue with my kitchen light was quickly identified and a new switch was installed, including a dimmer. I also had three light fixtures replaced with new ones and an additional dimmer switch installed. All work was completely satisfactorily and I found both Kevin and Tracie to be very personable. We originally had Stack coming in for a quote on a new hydro meter as we were having intermittent problems with lights flickering in our home and noises coming from our breaker panel. We originally had Electra come in and check our meter because of the issues we were having and they did find a loose connection inside the meter, and for a little while things seemed ok. They (Electra) recommended we change the meter because of it's age, and our issues could be coming from the meter base which is the homeowners responsibility. The next day the issue was ten times worse, so we called Stack first thing in the morning at 6am. They answered promptly which is great at 6am, and once we explained our issue and the fact that we turned our power off and had no hydro at the time they came to help us right away. Kevin and Tracie found the issue quickly (bad connection due to age/wear) and what was needed to resolve the problem. They contacted Electra, got the parts (top of the line) and had everything wrapped up by 11am. They are knowledgable, honest and extremely capable tradespeople, and I will not hesitate to call them for all my future electrical needs. I am very comfortable recommending this company to anyone.

We bought our house 30 years ago and inherited an electrical service panel that was just a mess. Wires everywhere with old style glass fuse plugs to boot.
