A home we recently purchased had some electrical deficiencies that needed attention for peace of mind with safety & we also decided to upgrade the service from 100A to 200A. The quote was competitive with others we sought, and we were impressed with the information package Josh provided with his quote and the follow-up a day later to address any pending questions before deciding which company to trust with the electrical work. The work was done over two days – the first day was the electrical service upgrade. Josh and Kyle completed this in the expected timeframe and cleanly installed in the new panel and the updated external configuration on the side of the house. They worked together to label all the circuits and Josh explained one that was overloaded (which we then chose to have a separate circuit run). Connie @ Kraun arranged for Alectra Utilities to take the service offline during the upgrade and promptly restore service once the work was done with a quick phone call by Kyle. Josh returned the second day to fix the deficiencies – primarily exposed wiring, add an electrical outlet, replacement of a couple of GFCIs. I received a followup email from Connie 2 days after the work was done checking in to make sure everything was working as expected. We would be a repeat customer of Kraun Electric if the need arose.

This morning we had the privilege of having Kyle from Kraun Electric come to our home to convert our 1960's era fuse box to a new and up-to-date breaker panel. He arrived promptly at the scheduled time of 8:00am and was polite, courteous and clearly knowledgeable about his task at hand. Everything was thoroughly tested when he finished. The panel is clearly labeled and everything about our new equipment was explained to me and my wife. We will happily have Kyle and Kraun back again for any future electrical needs. For an unrelated issue I had Nathan from Kraun here today. First off, the office staff is so polite, prompt and courteous moving my appointment up nice and early. Nathan was punctual (a bit early actually!) and immediately diagnosed and fixed the issue with one of our outlets. I cannot say enough good things about Kraun and their staff, all the best!

Created a DIY project for myself to replace my ceiling fans. After installing the first one that took longer than I expected, I started installing the second one. This time I realized that the electrical box was damaged and the job was now outside of my skill set. I called Kraun and the fellow that arrive provided an excellent quote. He asked me if he could do the job immediately. He completed the installation of all my fans in about an hour, including the replacement of the box. If I knew it was going to be this painless, I should have just contracted them to replace all of them for me. Totally no stress. No mess in any of the work areas. Totally would recommend Kraun for your residential needs.

I'm a little behind in posting this review, but I always like to give credit where credit is due. Back in Sept. (2018) I called Kraun on a recommendation from a technician from Mackay Heating and Cooling. I had such a small electrical job that needed doing (an outdoor light to be replaced with a new outdoor sensor light) that I never thought in a million years that any electrical company would even bother considering to come out and do this for me. Well, that was not the case with Kraun. From April right down to "Brandon" and another fella who were the electricians that were sent to my home, there are just not enough words to say how grateful I was/am to them for doing this for me. It is nice to know that there are still companies out their that are willing to help those that just can't do the smallest of electrical jobs themselves and that is pretty much what it was, they were helping me out because their fee was beyond being more than reasonable. Why anyone would look elsewhere for their professional electrical needs, is beyond me. I Highly recommend Kraun.

We moved into an old house and wanted to replace three old panels, it was such a mess and it looked very scary! We had Kyle and Adam and later in the day Angelo, come to do the work, and they did such a fantastic job! It is so clean and tidy now, we are so happy and impressed with their work! We just had Adam Waskawich come out to fix the stack outside our house. Wind caught it overnight and ripped it off the house at 4AM. Brandon was our main service person from our past renovation and he was awesome. Brandon did a lot of work for us during our home renovation. At that time he had an apprentice named Kyle. I came accross an electrician named Kyle Kwiatkowski who came for an estimate for a cirquit braker installation. I definitely do NOT recommend him because he was very unprofessional, arrogant and disrespectful the whole time. He kept saying to me that I have installed wrong boxes and outletes. I patiently explained to him that I got them from The Home Depot and that a day before I passed ESA inspection. Kyle kept repeating himself over and over that he can't believe that I have passed the inspection. He made it sound like the inspector was incompetent. Not to mention Kyle was very confused with the regulations and codes. He had to call someone at Kraun for advise and right infront of me, he said to the person on the phone " I can't believe this guy has passed the inspection". At this point I have heard enough and asked him to leave. On top of that he did not wear the mandatory by Kraun face mask. Verry disappointed with him. Having said that, I was extremly happy with the receptionist Connie. Amazing lady, very polite and helpful.

After several years of using fuses, we decided it was time to upgrade to a circuit breaker panel. We called Kraun Electric after hearing their advertisement on the radio. After booking an appt. for an estimate, Brandon came and checked out our concerns and left us with an estimate. We recently had the pleasure of using Kraun Electric for the first time. From start to finish the experience was excellent. Scheduling, receiving an estimate, and completion of the work was handled with friendly efficiency. The work itself involved a 200 amp panel replacement and the replacement of about 24 plugs and switches as wells as the diagnosis of a faulty thermostat. We recently had a situation where our ceiling lights in the front part of the house suddenly didn't work. Since we were unable to source the problem, we called Kraun Electric and even though it was on the weekend, a serviceman was at our home within a short period of time. I had sparks coming out of some outlets when I would plug items in, so I was worried about an electrical fire & so I went to Kraun for my free quote. They were extremely professional, friendly and completed the work on time. Although I was never concerned with their work, they ensured it was done safely and properly by having Welland Hydro remove the meter to kill the electricity while they worked & included TSSA inspection before going live. They left the space in better condition than when they arrived - if it wasn't for the new box you wouldn't have known they were there. They didn't leave until they knew everything was properly labelled & working. My father was an electrician and one thing he emphasized is you don't play with electricity. I agree, I didn't play around, I went directly to Kraun & only Kraun because I knew I would be safe and it would follow the code. You will definitely be happy and safe when you select Kraun for your electrical needs, I know I am!!

We moved into a new house and had a couple of things that needed to be done (installing a chandelier, dishwasher, moving outlets etc). Angelo did an amazing job with all of them. Additionally, he was always wearing a mask and kept things clean and safe.

My landlord had this company come in to do some work in a currently vacant upper unit but they also would be coming into my unit. The workers were aware I was home yet when coming into my apartment downstairs , they didn’t knock.. the worker proceeded to just walk into my house. I’m a 23 year old girl living alone- it was extremely unsettling for me that someone would do that. That was the second time they came to do work here. The first time I wasn’t home and my landlords requested they keep the doors closed as I do have a cat and we don’t want him to get out. They would leave both my apartment door wide open as well as the door outside. Thankfully my landlords realized this and had to put my cat in the bedroom. This is thoughtless to me. I will never use this company myself. Carless and inconsiderate. Beyond disappointed with these actions.

I am SUPER happy with the work that was completed and will use Kraun in the future for any additional electrical work needed. This was my first house which I am working on renovating and Josh was extremely helpful in giving me suggestions on the placement of lights and electrical outlets. I trusted him and took all his suggestions which I am happy I did because in the end the placement of my lights and electrical is perfect and was neatly executed. Had to call Kraun over the weekend as our range wasn’t working due to a faulty wall outlet. We had used them in the past and was always pleased with their work. We had spent $3000 over that period. Once was over the weekend and had to pay a premium of $100 for the call out. This time though they wanted $500 premium for the weekend call out before even looking at the job needing done. WHAT A RIP OFF. Needless to say I passed on their service and went with a more reasonable priced electrician. I will no longer recommend them

We wanted to change some of our lights and have a light fixture moved over a foot and didn't know who to call. Our neighbours had recently had some electrical work done by Chris at Kraun Electric and were very pleased. We called Kraun and they sent Chris out for an estimate. He gave us a reasonable price and we scheduled a date for him to come and do the work. Chris did a beautiful job! If we ever need any electrical work done again, we would definitely call Kraun Electric.

Mike came in to upgrade the 30+ year old panel in our home. From the initial call to the completed job, he was an absolute professional. He arrived early on both the assessment and work days. After assessing our needs, he came up with the most cost effective solution to our problem and recommended some upgrades that would ensure that the new panel would suit our needs for the next 30+ years. He finished the job quickly and left the job site in great condition. He also took the time to explain the differences between the old equipment and the new to ensure that we were familiar with it.
