The issue was fixed in perfect timing , he checked all outlets were working when the original repair was done ,, the pricing is extremely fair . I called Jameson / Wire Electric for a service call. On the plus side, I got an immediate response, same day service, and a friendly electrician. Unfortunately, Jameson wanted $500 to replace a single electrical outlet, and $715 to replace an outlet and a breaker in my electrical panel. The business model seems to be to charge you $50 for the service call, and then based on "sunk cost" you'll be inclined to spend big bucks for simple electrical repairs. In this case I was so appalled by the quoted price I just ate the $50 and called a different electrician, who replaced an outlet and a breaker in my panel for $150. For a total of $200 I got the work I needed done for $500 less than Jameson wanted to charge. If you need an emergency repair, Jameson might be a good option, as the dispatch occurred quickly and efficiently. But be prepared to pay out the nose for whatever service you need once they get there.

I chose Jameson to replace my furnace, not only because the quote was a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the other quotes I got, but most importantly, their customer service was outstanding. Starting with their receptionist, she was nice and helpful. The man who came to give me the quote was punctual, pleasant and informative. He spent over an hour teaching me about my options and how furnaces work. His up-front pricing really put my mind at ease. He was so nice! He took the extra effort to actually write out three separate quotes for me to choose from. The men who came to replace my furnace were also punctual and very friendly. And the process was not as noisy as I feared. I was able to work from home with very minimal interruptions. All in all, an excellent company to work with!

I hadn't even thought to do that. So his solutions were right on. He gave me a color choices, who knew you could, so the outlet would go with the color of the outside of the house better. He asked exactly where I wanted the outlet when it was time to do the finally install. He was knowledgeable about home generators and other electric needs for the house. great service and great job, PLUS the company has a referral policy so my hairdresser who referred me to the company will be getting a gift card just in time for the holidays.

I had the job done for almost free and it took less than 30 minutes by someone else. My advice is to do your homework and get multiple estimates before committing to Jameson. **True and honest review. I’m a customer who values a good, detailed review. Pass it on** So far, I’ve had a great experience with Jameson for my furnace replacement. Although, time will truly determine the quality of the installation. I ended up going with a 2 stage American Standard 60k BTU furnace. The price was fair, and I found a $100 coupon online which they applied without any hassle. I had 5 quotes from local HVAC companies. Outside of Jameson, my quotes were from larger companies. Jamison wasn’t the cheapest, but they weren’t the most expensive. I ended up choosing them for 3 reason. First, their online reviews where good and they’re office is in walking distance from my house. So I figured I’d call them for a quote, and try to support a local small business. Secondly, it was a great customer experience from the initial constellation to the installation. Jim, the owner was very personable and seemed to be a straight shooter. He’s the one who did my initial consultation. We sat at my dining room table and went over all the pricing, equip options, and install availability. We had a great rapport by the time he left. Jameson was also the most thorough during the consultation. They were the only company that looked inside and outside at my existing AC unit. (Not sure how important that really is, as I’m not a professional). The install was today, and it went very smooth. There were two installers, I forget their names, but both were extremely personable and professional. They left the work area as clean as it was when they arrived. Instal took about 6 or so hours. Once it was complete, they took me to the basement and explained everything they did. Very thorough job, in my opinion. Lastly, they were the only company to call me back for a follow up. Like I said, I had 5 quotes, and during each visit I explained to the company that I was having more quotes done after they left. No other company called to see if I had any other questions, or wanted to schedule the instal. Jameson was quite relentless in their follow up, too. Some people may not appreciate this, but I’m in sales and understand that you have to keep your leads warm in order for them to close. This was ultimately what pushed me to make the decisions to choose them, as I was torn between them and another company, Armor. During all my research leading up to this, it’s safe to say the dependability of your new furnace is primarily dictated by the quality of the installation. Like I said in the beginning, time will truly tell, but for now, Jameson seems like a good choice if your in the market for new HVAC work. Hopefully I don’t need to call them back for any repairs in the next 10yrs. If I do I hope it’s in the first two, as they give a 2 year labor warranty. Hope this helps anyone looking for a HVAC provider.

Their workmanship was very good as they were able to accommodate my particular needs. Upon completion I was given instructions on the transfer switch and generator operation and maintenance which included a complete running test of the system. All worked well. Strongly recommend reading and placing the manuals where you can find them. I had Jameson come to us today because our microwave kept tripping the circuit breaker. We did not know what was causing it so we had them come to check it out. Ryan and Brandon did an initial diagnostic without saying much. They presented me with two options. A super expensive diagnostic that would go towards any work necessary, or the basic diagnostic. They implied that more work was needed so I went with the more expensive option. So they got to work. 45 minutes later I was told that it was the microwave that was malfunctioning and the electrical was fine. My beef with this is that, if the microwave was causing the problem... Wouldn't you check that first before charging nearly 300 dollars for some expensive diagnostic test? Nope, so they took the money and left. But left with a sour taste in my mouth I decided to review. The automated email they sent advised me to call them. I did, the person called the electricians to ask for details regarding the case. They said that they were transparent and gave me the option either way, and wanted to make sure everything was working properly. So, the customer service rep called back,explained this, laughed and said electricians are expensive. Sorry, I didn't get the joke.

Wanted to get two new panels done for my rental property with recessed lighting in my kitchen ... was quoted $12,000. I received two other quotes from other electric companies one was $4,800 and the other company was $3,800. Clearly went with the company that offered the better price. PLEASE get other quotes.... when I received this company’s quote... it made no sense. I tried calling back to get an understanding on the price and the quote and the guy never called back. Yikes.... stay clear... get other quotes.... there are great professional electricians/companies that will not cost you an arm and a leg like this one. I am a younger women, I feel they were trying to take advantage of me which is really sad.

At first I was so grateful they were able to send someone out at 11p on a Saturday night, but despite me telling them what was wrong (it was overdue for servicing/cleaning) they didn't send someone competent to do the job needed. After waiting weeks for an appointment. They cancelled the day of and rescheduled. They did not do what I asked them to do on the day of service. I told them what the problem was and that I needed them to trouble shoot when I made the appointment. They did nothing for the 5 minutes he was there. When I called back they wanted me to pay another 159$ plus for someone to come back and do what I asked them to do in the first place.I ask them to go back and listen to the call when I requested service, they said they would get back to me but they never did. So they charged me for doing nothing. If I could give them less than 1 star I would.

Getting a hot tub and needed power installed to the area it will be going. Also added a branch circuit to my garage. The tech and two helpers knocked out the first part of the job In about six hours. They cleaned up after their work. They will return when spa is in place to hook it up and get final inspection done. Job was expensive but just getting trades to show up to bid jobs is near impossible now days so I was just excited they could get me scheduled in under a month. I’ll update review if any issues arise.

The tasks listed in the quote were in “electrical speak” so I could not discern if the job that was discussed during the quote visit was the same as on the written quote. I did call the company about this and was reassured that the job would be done as discussed with Jessy on site. I would use the company again.

Had my boiler serviced with Jamison 2 weeks ago. Very nice technician, however my boiler broke down today. Called for service and they said it would take a week to get out to me as my family freezes. We had a whole house standby generator installed and it was a great experience, from beginning to end. Jim came out and looked at our environment and gave me all of the various options, without trying to push a specific path. In the end, we went with a larger generator than we originally discussed, but only upon my request. The guys came out on a December day and did the whole job in one day, while also wearing covers over their boots and taking care not to disrupt the house more than necessary. We called Jameson as a second estimate. While they came over 200 more than the first one, we went with them. My husband said Bob, who was there for the estimate, came prepared, professional and helpful. After we decided to go with them, I called for the appointment and they got us in the next week. We went from a 1950s boiler and water tank to an energy-efficient wall mounted dual system. They said it would take a day for 2 guys to come out and do the work. We had Ken and Jason. They were on time and started work right away. They were quiet, friendly and clean. After a full day of taking out the old system and putting up the new one, Ken said he would be unable to finish and wanted to come back in 2 days. He was on time the 2nd day and started right away. It took him about 3 hours longer than he originally thought but after looking at all the work they did, we have no complaints! They replaced A LOT of piping, had to drill into concrete (we have a concrete house), cleaned up the area, took both old systems, came out a 2nd day and they didn't charge us a penny over what they quoted. I am extremely satisfied with our choice in Jameson and highly recommend them to anyone.

Last year I remodeled my home late 2014 and chose Jameson for the heating and cooling. Jameson stuck by me throughout the process and continues to stand behind their work even after the install. I recently had an issue with the ac unit and they came out on a Saturday to fix the issue. Jessica explained to me on the phone that I would be charged a dispatch fee but if the problem was install related the fee would be removed. The technician Ken, very professional, confirmed it was related to the install and the fee was removed. Your word goes a long way with me and Jameson has kept their word and has kept a customer.

I schedule an appointment on 5/7/18. A nice young man came, I asked him how much would you charge me to connect five line for me to the indoor and outdoor unit, vacuum the system, and put some gas. The penta zone mini split had already been installed. He called to his boss and told him about the work that it might take half of a day to complete the job. He did some calculation and asked me for $1800 !!!? I told him is there any person in the world that can make 1800 in four hours? I wort him a check in the amount of $53 for his visit. The technician was a nice person and will give him five star, but the problem was with the company.

Needed an already purchased bathroom fan installed, fluorescent lights in the basement restored to working order and wires to the old pool filter disconnected or removed. Matt was sent to complete the request. First, I must say that Matt is an absolute professional and gentleman. He has a lovely smile, a sense of humor and is a dog lover which was a big plus for my pit bull! Every portion of the work requested was thoroughly explained and Matt asked if I had any questions along the way. He fully explained what each portion of the job would entail. He explained all of the pricing as it related to each job request. The entire bathroom (which is extremely small) was tarped. The new fan was installed and had it not been for the brand new white cover at the ceiling, I would never know he had been there! There wasn't a spec of dust left behind! Even when going to the basement which has a painted concrete floor, Matt always covered his shoes even when I told him it wasn't necessary. (But, I get it). Work is all complete and couldn't be happier! Will definitely keep Matt's business card and, in fact, am passing it along to my cousin who also needs some electrical work done. Fantastic experience! When I ordered the new unit, the sales person told me that it could be installed in exactly the same spot as the old unit. When the installers came out, however, they said it would not fit in that spot. They offered to look for a unit with a smaller foot print, with the same capacity rating (equivalent model). They offered a different model/manufacturer at the same price with the claims that it was equivalent. I had a chance to look up the suggested model on-line while talking the the rep at Jameson Electric. I found out it was a piece of junk and would not have the capacity to cool the house properly. HUGE disappointment. Hard to trust what was said. I kept the original unit but had to have it installed in a different spot. I was not very pleased with that. I will say that the installers did a very nice job.

I called and had Jessy come out, first of all it cost me $49.00 for him to walk in the door. I have a problem with a bathroom light not working. i was under the impression he would look at it, replace the switch an charge me under $ 100.00 but before he would do anything he said it would cost $200.00 or $ 400.00 or $ 800.00 to fix the problem. i thought why so much? I was never told their costs when I called them. It seems something like a bait and switch. I thought paying the $49.00 the guy would at least look at it. I feel like I got ripped off by telling me $49.00 but then they hit you with these high prices. I told the guy to leave and I will never use them for anything, So if you have money to throw away call them and use them. But I felt they just wanted to rip me off with these high prices, I learned my lesson but I'm out the $49.00, I give them one star for not telling me what their pricing was when I called, I never would of had them come out if i new what they charge, They ripped me off.on 1-30-18. I guess we have to learn the hard way.

We had two older GFI outlets in kitchen that needed to be replaced. Our technician, Matt, and his apprentice were polite and professional. Work done in under an hour and made sure we could run our appliances at same time on different outlets (not anything specific they did, just good information provided about how our kitchen outlets were set up that we didn't know about previously because we're not electricians). A small touch that showed they were willing to go extra mile so we were confident in their work. He even pet our dog to put her at ease that there were strangers in the house!

I used this service to repair my standby generator.They came out and in 10 minutes said I have to rebuild the engine at a cost of $1500-$2000. Charged me $53 for a service call and said they would get back with a estimate and never heard from them again. Called a service that rebuilds generators and got it running in 5 minutes. Granted my generator is 15 years old and needs some parts replaced that are worn. This service might be good for electrical repairs.but no knowledge about repairing generators

The first of this year 2018 - I would like to thank the “A-Team” as I called them ???? at Jameson Electric, Heating & Air that consist of Jessy, Jim, Matt, Josh and Hayden who worked so hard replacing the original fuse box in my home that is over 100-yrs-old this double dwelling has been in my family for 45yrs that I inherited from my parents on the East side of Buffalo, NY. With a new electrical circuit breaker panels, needed 2 meters overhead service replacement 150 Amp, replaced our switches, update outlets with new 3 prong and add a couple new outlets no more extension cords or adapters ???? and installed in each bedroom smoke detectors also in the basement along with a carbon monoxide detector. Matt arrived promptly as scheduled. He identified himself and gave me a business card. Matt identified himself as the lead installer should we decide to make a purchase. Matt examined the electric panel and the outside gas meter, and also determined the load requirements for all of our natural gas appliances. After this review we discussed issues regarding generator size, generator placement and a cold weather add on to protect the battery and maintain oil viscosity. Matt mentioned code requirements for carbon monoxide hard wired detectors. Also discussed was the possibility that the gas meter may need upgrading and that a larger gas line from the street might be needed.After these discussions Matt provided a written estimate with price protection for 30 days and also included generous discounts for the Buffalo Home Show. This is a first class company that I will likely choose for the job.
