Marisa Ford 5 hours ago Fast and Reliable Service. I was having problems with my bathroom light and called late in the afternoon. I did not expect a call that evening but Allan called me and came right over. He found the problem and showed me the cause of my issue. He also mentioned that I have aluminium wiring and that this should be taken care of. Allan provided a quote and started the job right away. He did a great job and I was very happy with his service and quick service. I must say I feel a lot safer knowing that all is up to code. Thank you Allan!

Needed a trouble shoot after the power in my tenants washrooms went out. Figured out it was a failed GFI and got it replaced and cleaned up in no time. Very easy to deal with, and no nonsense about getting the work done. Highly recommend for any sort of electrical work

very good electrician, very honest was straight to the point tested everything that was needed to be tested gave me advice on what I should and shouldn't do and actually saved me money because of the way the building is wired I was going to pay someone to fix and put in extra Breakers when I found out from these guys that if you have a 60 amp fuse, extra Breakers aren't going to help I absolutely 100% recommend this guy to anybody out there to be honest I cannot believe the how honesty was compared to every other electrician we've dealt with 10 out of 10 service for sure kept his card for future work!!! Also came out and did the work at 9:30 p.m. for a pretty low price

I almost never write reviews, and I absolutely never give a 5 star review, but Gabe with Mr. Electric deserves every star. He responded immediately and was able to troubleshoot over the phone, allowing us to fix the issue ourselves since it turned out to be a simple problem. I would not expect every issue to be dealt with this easily, but I’m now confident that, if I need electrical assistance again, Gabe will do his best to provide the best and most cost appropriate service for whatever issue that comes up.

Alan was great. Hooked up my HotTub from BeachComber quickly. He is very quick to return your question and pleasant to deal with. Only gotcha was from Epcor and City of Edmonton inspectors, yes I pulled a permit as I wanted it all done right. If you have AC (and an electric range or Oven, I think), and only a 100 Amp service, you may need to install a power manager (AC Dandy LoadMiser) so that you don’t burn out your power lines. As this is a concern for Epcor and City inspectors, as apparently this is happening to home owners. I called Epcor to see if my house built in 2011 could accommodate a 200amp service panel, sadly my new area only had 100amp capable power lines. So to get my lot upgraded to 200 amp power lines. Epcor said my cost would be about $25,000-$30,000 for trenching and new cables. So a Load Miser it is. Just something to keep in mind. So there is chance when cooking a meal in the oven, if it exceeds the threshold, it will turn off the hot tub until the oven turns off. Alan has mine set to 40 mins which makes sense. So we will likely not use the oven and hot tub at the sametime, which is really no big deal, as we like to get in a couple of hours after dinner anyway. Now just need a TV out there, maybe calling Alan back for a new waterproof outlet.

We called Alan to fix a problem with a couple of our kitchen electrical sockets. He arrived at our home on time, was very quick to diagnose the problem and provided a good explanation before starting the work. While in our home, he also pointed out several other electrical safety issues and was able to resolve them on the same day. This was much appreciated! We found Alan to be very knowledgeable and courteous. He was able to explain the problems in layman terms. We would not hesitate to recommend Alan to our friends for any future electrical needs.

I've never had a need to call an electrician as I'm comfortable doing basic things like replacing fixtures, outlets, and switches myself. My dimmer switch was buzzing, causing lights to flicker, and had a burnt smell behind the cover. I thought there might be something more serious going on so decided to call an electrician. I went with Mr Electric Edmonton SW because of the reviews, the location, and the fact they took calls 24/7. Some other highly rated electricians only operate on weekdays. I called Sunday morning and Alan called me back within minutes and came out later that day to replace the dimmer switch. There was nothing else serious going on. However, I did email Alan on a concern I had with the new switch. He phoned me immediately and we talked through it, leaving me satisfied there was nothing to be concerned about. But he called later and said he'd like to stop by tomorrow just to make sure. How many contractors care enough to do that? He came by the next day as promised and confirmed that there were no problems, but if any do arise he will happily come out to change the switch out. Great service!

Needed an electrical inspection and I was very impressed with service and quality of work. Alan was very professional and knowledgeable. He even helped me with some great advice about my tenant issue, and I couldn’t ask for better help than his at that time. On top of that the service was excellent, Alan explained what he was doing at each step and answered all my questions.
