We called ILS Electrical a little while ago after an internet search and reading such positive reviews. We had someone coming in to fix a belt on the dryer and the fluorescent lights in the valance decided they were on their way out. The other light had the bulb removed a while back due to not being able to shut it off. This was because the cord snapped inside the base of the light on a very high ceiling. Ian Sturek answered and was able to accommodate us into his schedule that night, it was great! When he arrived he was masked and was extremely polite; we were masked as well of course. As we were talking the other light was mentioned as well as the fact that I hated the valance due to the fluorescent tubes and he said he could remove the valance and replace it with a normal fixture and bulb (which was way easier and more convenient for us) and he also said he was pretty sure he had another fixture to fix the one we couldn't turn off. We were more than happy about this especially since he was very reasonably priced. His work was tidy and quick but done properly, he was professional but also friendly and polite. Being cooped up with COVID restrictions sometimes it's just nice to talk to different people and he was definitely one of those people. Very easy to talk to and get along with. He even called awhile after to follow up with us just to see how things were, if everything was working alright, if we had any other issues and just to see how we were during the pandemic. We were thoroughly impressed with his work but even more so his service overall, it was honestly outstanding. He embodies what all companies customer service should look like. Not only is Ian now our official "go to" electrician when we do or will need one again, but we highly recommend him. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with ILS Electrical!

Was so happy with the fan installations that as our smoke detectors were needing replacement, we used Ian to upgrade these and upgrade a bathroom outlet to a GFI outlet (current standard). We contacted Ian, through a google search, to give us an estimate on replacing our kitchen light fixtures. His quote was very reasonable and he was available to do the work in our short timeline. Ian called us before arriving and was extremely professional in all ways. He wore a face mask during his time in our home and did the kitchen lighting replacement to our complete satisfaction. When he finished we asked him to also look at our 10 year old electric fireplace. The main switch had quit working and we had been unable to find anyone to replace it. Ian found what he thought might be the issue and got it working again. Unfortunately, it soon quit working so Ian came back and took the faulty switch with him to see if he could find something that would work. Long story short, he was able to find a similar switch, came to the house, installed it and it has worked like a charm ever since. Since finishing the repair, Ian has called a couple of times to see if everything is still good. We have told friends about the wonderful service we received from Ian and would recommend his company to anyone looking for a top notch electrician.

A ballast was burned out in a very expensive custom fluorescent light fixture we own. Ian found a new ballast for us and disassembled the finicky fixture, so we didn't need to buy a new one. The repair was much less expensive than the light. He was very polite, professional, and responsive to communications. He took great care not to damage our fixture or anything else in our home. I already have several other projects in mind for him in the future.

He spent two hours on a Friday night and ruled out absolutely everything and fixed an issue that was unrelated (caused by a previous electrician's shoddy work!), before concluding it was an issue with the main line. I called 3 electricians and Ian called me back within an hour (others didn’t call me back). He came the same day to assess the situation, the breaker on my hot tub wasn’t working. He explained exactly what needed to be done, ordered the parts required and quoted me a very very reasonable price. He called me regularly to keep me posted as to when the parts were arriving. It was important to get the breaker fixed ASAP and he quickly replaced it. Very professional, quick, efficient, very good prices.
