This business is top-notch. We had an issue with our service and they came right over to help us sort it out, and acted as a liaison with the BC Hydro crew to make sure it all got put back together at the end. Definitely recommend this business.

I called Elk Valley to arrange for my new hot tub wiring in a 20 year+ old condo that had existing wiring that was not up to existing code. Working with Elk's suggestions on running new cable and interior routing of the new cabling we were able to work with Keith and Tim and create a perfect solution. Tim was so easy to work with - he shows up on time, everytime and does impeccable work - so very experienced - his suggestions lead you to proceed with confidence. We owner-built a custom five bedroom home, and a detached garage with a 2 bedroom apartment above. Elk Valley Electric managed all of our electrical needs from the power pole and underground install, to the rough in and final finished fixtures. In the entire project they were one our preferred trades. They showed up on time, invoiced as quoted, returned calls in reasonable timeframe, had integrity to fix things that went wrong as they sometimes will, and were just all around good people. Keith and his Elk Valley Electric team are fantastic commercial partners. Our business has many complex electrical and operational requirements and after our initial meetings with Keith in 2010 it was clear that he had both the technical and management skills to support us for the long term. Our project to open one of Canada’s first bean to bar chocolate manufacturing factories, alongside a gelato bar, coffee roasting facility and café was challenging. We needed to install, test and put into production approximate 15-20 commercial machines, many high amp rated and 3-phase, over a short period of 6-8 weeks. We also needed to install all the electrics and lighting for the café, storage rooms, and food grade commercial manufacturing areas, each with its own set of unique requirements. The project had aggressive timelines, and Keith and his team were required to work around many different teams, including CSA certification experts and multiple trades, as everything was new, including structural elements, mechanicals and flooring. In a project of constant flux and unexpected challenges, Keith was a steadying influence and his team always delivered. In our experience the distinguishing feature of Elk Valley Electric during our project was their ability to make the delivery of complex commercial solutions seem routine and simple. They are a pleasure to work with and true to their word. It is why we still use them for all our electrical requirements and consider them a business partner for life.
