2 stars because the plumber was a nice and decent person. However, I called C&N about an issue with my hot water tank and I told them it was likely the anode giving up and causing an odor with the hot water. They set up an appointment and it went something like this: Hi there I'm the plumber, let me go check out the issue. Great thanks *looks at the tank* I think it may be the anode. Yeah I thought so too.. so can you switch it out? What's the solution? No I can't change it because I don't have another one with me, and your tank is gas so someone else will have to come change it out. Okay...? Have a great day! Turns out his office gave him zero details about the issue and only told him to look at the hot water tank. So he was not prepared to deal with the issue and the office expected me to book a second appointment to actually fix the problem. They charged me $140 (35 for the service call and 90 for "labor" which included walking up and down my stairs I imagine). Ultimately it was 10min of talking about the issue I had called them about. Very easily the worst service I have encountered in recent memory. I don't write bad reviews but had to make an exception for this one. These guys should skip the electrical and stick to plumbing considering how great they are at rinsing people.

Called C&N based on several referrals from family who have been using their services for years. I could not be happier with the service C&N provided. Les was professional and courteous and gave several options for improving our sump pump system as well as estimates for each option and the pros and cons of each. The work was completed with excellent workmanship and he left the jobsite cleaner than when he arrived. I would not hesitate to call C&N for future repairs, highly recommended!

I called C&N because one of my sump pumps wasn't working. It turned out that the second one wasn't working too well either and wasn't high quality. Johnson replaced both pumps extremely quickly - excellent work - and just in time with historic Ottawa rainfall happening. He also noticed a leaking pipe and fixed that too with a special valve he brought over the next morning. Our basement is dry for the first time in years. Wonderful, intelligent service! Highly recommended!!!

Needed some electrical & plumbing work done in my home. Got a free estimate within an hour of calling. Anthony showed up a little later to do the electrical work. Excellent work and confidence inspiring knowing the job is done properly. Bruce the plumber was excellent. Recommended highly.

It pains me to write this, as I don't like leaving bad reviews. I had an estimate booked with them tomorrow at 8am. This appointment was booked for a week. We currently have an entire bathroom ripped out because of a flood and have only one working bathroom for a family of 6. They just called and left a message saying they have a "bigger job to estimate" and will be busy and can't make it. She then proceeds to tell me she has gone ahead of her own accord and changed my appointment time to 5 hours later. If I pulled this with any client I would be out of a job. It's rude and unprofessional. It's equally audacious to rebook without consent as if a person sits at home and twiddles their thumbs all day. As a person with two businesses and multiple construction projects on the go, I understand the importance of treating clients with respect. I had planned around MY clients day, and as well, planned for earlier childcare for all the kids, to be told "well you aren't important enough to keep appointments for, and we could care less about your schedule actually" Can you imagine if you had no bathroom and had scheduled work with these people, and then they got a bigger job out of the blue and cancelled on you? The estimate is where you decide to move forward with a company. This behaviour shows me they are unreliable, inconsistent, and unprofessional. No thank you.

I would not recommend this firm. They caused damage to my home by their electrician dropping my ceiling mounted fan…and then they refused to fix the damage that this caused to my new floors.

called last minute to fix a No Water Pressure problem and they were able to arrive very quickly, 10 minutes. We had a pressure tank leak issue already and it was scheduled to be done by another outfit, gave me a price on the spot for the whole job and completed it in less than an hour, excellent work, price(better than other company) , and quality, Thanks guys, and thanks to Bill for the speedy reply, will definitely use them again.

Thank you for a job well done. The plumber (with a "b") who's name I think was Les, was great. He gave me a great understanding of our water supply system, how it works, and how everything is adjusted, and was in and out much faster than I expected, with a new water pump installed and working. I think he really knows what he's doing. A great guy. It was also nice to talk to a real, friendly and helpful person on the phone (Bev), instead of an automated system, who scheduled the service for the same day, to help us get water back in ur house. And they're local people, the way things used to be, which makes it even better. Thank you.

Dealt with C & N for almost 40 years. They are as courteous, responsive and effective as they have ever been. Well pump broke on this occasion while we were in Florida. All mended and water back on by the time we returned. Amazing job and staff. Thank you.
