After COVID hit, it became apparent that we needed an extra office space in our basement, so we started a basement renovation project. We knew that we would need electrical work done and the electric panel was located in the (large) room we were renovating. We also wanted to make sure that once the room was completed, it wouldn't prevent us from doing renovations in other parts of the house. Having an Electrician that understood our needs and could help us "future-proof" things was important. I was given's Tyler's name after he did some work for a friend. I contacted him, and right from the get-go I knew that I was dealing with a good company. He told me that he was busy, so the quote would take a little time - and it did, but because the communication was good, we were on the same page. Once the work started, Tyler's team was very professional, clean, courteous and organized. The job went very well and I am super happy with the results. This is one of those companies that you really can't say enough about. Great communication, work completed as promised, met all my expectations, etc. etc. I would highly recommend Ivy League Electric to anyone who needs to get electrical work done! Ivy League was hired by my primary contractor to complete a number of electrical jobs during a house renovation. The staff attending the job were professional and friendly and completed the work in a quick and efficient manner. Following the last visit the Electrical Inspector attended the house and indicated they were very impressed with the job - as they always are with work completed by this company. Further, the inspector left the house leaving a plug in a room that was not under construction not working. The electrician that completed the work contacted me and worked through the problem over the phone. Nice touch! I would certainly hire them again.

Ivy League Electric recently installed porch lights and a smart switch for us. This installation meant we didn't have to go through walls to connect a switch which was very appealing to our family. Everybody I dealt with was fantastic. The estimate was clear and itemized, the office was very quick to reply and ensure things were set up with permits, the crew were hard working and polite. One of the things we were getting was a ceiling box so we could install a ceiling fan. When I came home, they had not only put in the box, but assembled and installed the ceiling fan as well, and that wasn't even in the estimate! That's the sort of attention to detail and professionalism that makes a great impression. 100% satisfaction, I'm recommending them to everyone.

Working with Ivy League was a breeze. Getting a quote and making an appointment was quick and easy to do. Danielle was really easy to work with and she answered all of my questions quickly and courteously. On the day of the job, the work was done quickly and efficiently with two electricians on site. We had some trouble with a breaker always tripping when we used our outdoor plugs/garage door, so they replaced the outdoor plugs with new gfci receptacles that 1. work and 2. are much nicer looking than the old ones :) We also had an octagon box (junction box) added into our basement, as well as the tripping breaker replaced in our panel. We paid a little less than $500 for the work.

They are professional, accommodating, and responsive to our needs and requests. All the electricians are knowledgeable and complete the work to a high standard and quality, including EFSA permits. We have been pleased to use them for a variety of jobs from re-wiring a knob and tube house with a brand new panel, to adding pot lights and lighting fixtures, plugs, outdoor lighting, and timers. They even think ahead and have added options for future lighting needs. They are trustworthy and fairly priced. Thanks to them, we have a safely wired home with plenty of bells and whistles!

Ivy League had been recommended to me by my sister and BIL who had used them for a job in a recently purchased condo. From my first contact with Tyler (the company owner) I was as impressed as they had been. He was pleasant and polite when he met me at my home to go over what I wanted done. A written quote was emailed in a very timely manner. In addition, Tyler included all the required info for the Management Office at my condo, making the approval process go much more smoothly than I'd expected. A date was booked for the work but as it turned out, the light I'd ordered arrived much earlier than anticipated and eager to get the work done, Danielle in the Office was able to work around a new timeline to accomplish that--a much appreciated effort! Unfortunately, the job couldn't be completed on the first day due to circumstances that no one could have foreseen, and this was communicated to me promptly. The electrician was back the next week to finish the job. An issue arose that had me briefly upset, but after a short phone conversation with Tyler, it was ultimately resolved to my satisfaction. What most impressed me, though, was how Tyler handled the matter. Rather than trying to deflect, Tyler assumed responsibility, something which I thoroughly appreciated! In addition, he made a point of coming by later to touch base and check in to ensure that I was happy with the suggested solution to the problem. Furthermore, he offered to go out to buy some Polyfilla for patching a few spots in my bedroom where some holes had been required for the work that was done. To top it off, he even did the patching himself--WOW! (And I know the painter will be almost as thrilled as I was to have that job done ahead of time!) All in all, the experience I had was definitely a positive one and I am thrilled with how the work turned out! Even though Tyler has only been in business for a few years, his company has grown quickly and he now has a number of licensed electricians working for him. Based on my experience, this success is well-deserved and I would recommend Ivy League without reservation!
