I started finishing my basement in early Dec 2020 with the intention of having it complete by the end of March as we had a baby due at that time. I've had issues in the past with contractors and prefer to do as much as possible myself. When I was ready to start doing the rough electrical in late Jan 2021, I contacted the ESA about the process for homeowners and found out due to COVID restrictions they were not doing in-home inspections. The only way to move forward at that time was to hire a licensed electrician that could provide the ESA with photos. I immediately feared this would significantly set back my project due to contractor availability and I would not be able to finish before the baby was born. It was Halton Electric to the rescue! I had seen their trucks around town and they were the first ones I called. I explained the situation to Paul in the morning, and Derek was over in the afternoon to take a look at things. They were fantastic to work with and allowed me to stay involved which helped keep costs down and the project on schedule. I had spray foam booked for two weeks out and they were able to squeeze me in the day before to get the rough in completed and inspection passed. Sure enough, I was unable to completely finish the basement before the baby was born, but thanks to Halton Electric I was at least able to finish all the dirty stuff. Naturally the project progressed much slower after the baby was born and it was 6 months before I was finally ready for them to come back to complete the finish electrical. Once again I had a bit of a time crunch as I had a family member planning to move in to the basement a month later. Unsurprisingly, their business had boomed in that time and they were swamped, but once again they were able to squeeze me in and were fantastic to work with. It was a pleasure to work with Derek, Matt, Scott, and Paul. They are very friendly and easy going. I highly recommend them! Hopefully we can work together again.

We had power surges causing damage to the entire house resulting in the need to shut off power to the entire house. Halton Hydro arrived to isolate the power and then Lyle responded with 30 min to diagnose the issue and returned within an hour with all the supplies and staff to fix our very dangerous issue. Found him to be so comforting and knowledgeable as this was a very scary situation with our home. Problem was fixed and he followed up by inspecting the home to check if our power had been restored and offering advice for those appliances which would not come back on. Then went above and beyond to call back and offer the melted control panel to show to insurance for what will be an expensive claim. I felt so reassured and at ease with this company and felt like they treated me like one of their own family. I will definitely use this company again.

I was lucky enough to have come to know Halton Electric when we had a major home renovation completed by Ridgeline Renovations with Halton Electric as a sub trade. I was so impressed by the work Derek and his team completed, I hired Halton Electric to install a whole home generator, recently.The whole process could not have been easier for me. I did not have one issue from the initial quote to finishing the installation of a large generator. The job site was clean through out. I felt the job was completed in a safe and professional manner. Everyone involved was friendly and personable. The team also replaced our outfront lampost without issue. In this crazy world we live in I do appreciate having a important service like a reliable, professional, safe electrical company I can rely on to serve my needs without any issues. My power generator has turned on three times since it was installed and worked perfectly. Halton Electric was on my mind....

At 11PM on a Thursday I Googled "Electrician Near Me" I clicked on the link for Halton Electric and submitted a request on their website. By 11:45PM, I had a reply from Paul and by Monday Derek was at my house repairing a faulty outlet. Derek was very easy to talk to and explained everything to my wife and I in a way we could understand. We were really impressed. Fast forward, two weeks and another electrician from their team, Tim, is installing exterior potlights for us (pictured). We were so impressed with these guys; they're polite, personable and they do great work - we highly recommend them.

I hired Halton Electric to upgrade the 100 amp fuse panel in my home to 200 amp and run a new conduit to my garage with a subpanel. The guys worked incredibly quickly, kept me up to date, worked cleanly and professionally, and let me help to keep the costs low. The original quote directly matched the final cost even though a few extra things were completed not included in the original quote.
