Had work done over 1yr agi by Mr. Electric and notice one light flickering a bit on the weekend. Called and asked if it was covered under warranty and found out that it was. They came out and took care of us and checked everything out. Put some smaller merrets to see if that would keep a tighter connection and told us to call them if we notice it again. They also replaced an outlet that was causing a lamp to flicker sometimes. Everything seems good now. Thanks for being amazing, available, kind, and generous! Definitely recommend Expert Electric to anyone who is looking to have electrical work done!

Yoshito was our technician. He was quick to determine an unusual wiring situation in our old home, repaired a loose connection in a recently installed panel and provided quotes for additional work we wanted done. He came back on a second day to perform the additional services we requested, including replacement and relocation of a regular power outlet with a power/USB duplex unit, installation of two ceiling fan/lights, upgrading an existing outdoor outlet and installing a new outdoor outlet. We will have him back to assist us with further upgrades in the near future. We have used Expert Electric for all of our electrical needs for a number of years now and they have always come through for us, consistently providing friendly, professional and high quality service above and beyond our expectations every time. Amazing company! They were very professional and friendly, and they went above and beyond my expectations for the work they did. We shopped around for electricians for a few weeks, and they were well worth the cost for coming by to do the initial estimate. They would call to follow up on appointments, call to remind you 30 minutes before coming, and were very responsive and prompt via their website and email. The electrician we worked with was Brad, and he was fantastic. I was impressed by and really appreciated the way he worked. It was very assuring and to see someone who had such great work ethics and passion for perfection working in our home. It was almost as if he imagined himself living in our space and put himself in our shoes in order to ensure that we get the optimal lighting solution for our home. On Monday, September 21, 2020 we had Expert Electrical to replace a Baseboard heater in the main bathroom of our residence; they did very good work indeed: being on time, very friendly service, execellent professional work, plus the extra work he had to do to be certian that the baseboard heater was working properly. My only complaint was in the booking time when I told the person I was not going to be at home at 1 pm and they showed up at 12:35 pm to do the wok on the first day. When I re-booked they were fantastic at making sure of the time, the person who came back was polite, to the point and offered the best suggestion right away. He left and came back with the proper lighting we had discussed and installed it in minutes. Checked my breaker box and smoke detectors to make sure they were up to date and off he went.

I have used Expert electric for over two years and they have performed satisfactory work until now where they completely dropped the ball. In December I was charged a diagnostic fee of $266.17 for the technician to tell me, that after an hour and a half, I may need a thermostat and heat bar replacement. I let it go till January contacted them and was told the technician Ali would follow up Needless to say he communicated to me via a text message the he was ordering parts and will get back to me. It is now mid February and I have not heard from Expert Electric so have had to call another company to do the work.

Not exactly a huge job, though the guys came in, took their outdoor boots off and put indoor safety shoes on, did a super clean job, and took us through the programming of the Thermostat, to the point I’ve almost forgotten its there! The first team that worked on relocating a light switch and a thermostat was absolutely horrible. Cutting corners everywhere they could. They wanted to install the thermostat at 6 feet high.... Who does that? After our complaint we got another that was great but we still think about the first team to this day... I would not recommend

We are so happy that we found Expert Electric. We had Chuck the owner come to our 100 year old home to give us an estimate. From the moment we met him, we knew were in good hands. His entire crew worked professionally, taking great care to find ways to rewire the old house without disturbing the oak millwork or original wallpaper. We hired Extert Electric to do an electrical certification and any upgrades required to bring a mobile home up to City of Surrey's code and obtain a Silver Seal inorder to sell it. The certification included a 32 point inspection. Once the City of Surrey was contacted and received a copy of the inspection, they gave detailed instructions to Expert Electric on how to move forward to obtain the Silver Seal. Trying to find an electrician this past winter to install a gable attic fan and a cell phone signal booster was next to impossible. Telephone calls to an electricians office went to voice messaging that were not returned and email messages were unanswered in most cases. I even tried websites like “HomeStars” but they were the same as filling in a tick box questionnaire …… gable fans came out as bath fans and a cell booster were non existent. But I did get one return email from a remodeling contractor, so I explained what I needed and he told me his electrician would call me, but the electrician didn’t. So, it was about 3 months later that I was scrolling through my FaceBook page and up popped an add for EXPERT ELECTRICAL. I had nothing to lose so instead of calling them because I was expecting the same results as before, I emailed them their enquiry form back. Immediately the next morning I received a call from EXPERT ELECTRICAL’s office making an appointment with me for an electrician to come out and see me on July 28, 2021 between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. The electrician assigned, Yoshito Tsuji, arrived about 3:30 pm and we discussed what had to be done. Yoshito was prepared to stay until all the work was done which would take about 3 ½ hours but it was a very hot day (in the high 30’s) and if he had to go into the attic, that was not a good idea as far as I was concerned. Yoshito called his office and at my suggestion had the work rebooked for the first morning that his schedule allowed. This would be August 6, between 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Yoshito arrived at 8:30 am (1/2 late because he was watching the Olympics which was ok by me) and promptly went to work. One and a half hours later the fan was installed behind the attic vent. By noon the cell phone signal booster was installed. All in good order, and working fine. EXPERT ELECTRICAL was fast, efficient, and true to their word. Yoshito was courteous, pleasant, patient, and professional. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an electrician on the Lower Mainland. Their truck is well stocked and the electrician I had - Mike - was so well organized, very professional, experienced, and competent. TL;DR: It was the excellent reviews that clinched our decision to call Expert Electric, so we'd be remiss in not leaving our own. We found them to be prompt, professional, honest, and excellent at what they do. Beyond that, they were very friendly and personable, and super respectful of us and our space. We needed some paperwork for the insurance company when all was said and done, and even the woman in the office was lovely to deal with. If you want the details, read on. If not, just know that if you're considering using them, you should absolutely do it. You won't be sorry. For our initial emergency call, Cory came out and we were such a fan that we made sure that when we booked the bigger service our house ended up needing - an aluminum treatment - that we asked for him specifically. He came with help for that job, of course, and both of them were great. It's not easy to be surprised by a costly, necessary service of this kind, but what made it a little less painful is that we could tell that they knew what they were doing inside and out (literally and figuratively!) and were just so nice to be around while they worked; we tried to be as accommodating for them as possible and they were the same in return, which was nice. I think perhaps the most telling part of their time here was how positively they spoke about their company. My husband is a chatty type, always asking questions, often about the people he interacts with, so we got to know Cory a little bit: how he got into electrical work, how he landed where he is, etc., and he genuinely couldn't stop singing the praises of the company, his boss, and just all around what good people he worked for and how much he liked his job. It was just so refreshing, and positive and nice. It's a small thing, something you don't even realize you want in service transaction like this, until you have it. The only area of improvement of note - and honestly it's not even big enough to warrant a lower rating - was just trying to get them here in the first place. The first call we made, the operator took our information and said they'd call us back, but we waited a while and no call came. I was set on using them anyhow, so my husband called back, explained he was supposed to have been contacted and wasn't, and they really handled us well from that point forward. It was the most minor of hiccups in an otherwise smooth, positive process, and was absolutely worth powering through. All that said, we would highly recommend anyone who needs an electrician call Expert Electric. And if initially you find a challenge in booking them, trust us, it is worth the little bit of effort and hanging on to get something set up with them. My husband and I have both agreed that they will be our first call for any of our electrical needs/wants in the future. Their prices are fair and all around it's a stellar experience. Even "simple" things, like installing lights, we've decided we'd rather just call them for. They've made customers out of us for life.

I submitted an online estimate request and have yet to hear back. I contacted someone in the chat option and they were unable to view my request and suggested I call. Had I wished to call I would have done that in the first place as email is more convenient for me. Why bother having the option to submit an online request if no one gets back to you? Reliable and fast. They completed knob and tube removal and updated all wiring in two of my rentals. Brought my properties to code and I feel confident that my tenants are safe with hardwired fire alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. They make as few holes as possible, and they patch and clean all messes. Had a few small issues afterwards and they came back immediately to correct it. They stand by their work. I am very pleased with the service expert electric delivered. They are very professional from start to finish and give expert advise. We originally thought we needed to change our electrical panel because we had a multitude of electrical issues (i.e. the dishwasher suddenly stopped working along with the washing machine, some electrical outlets stopped working and our lights keep flickering). Chuck came in and gave us an estimate for the electrical panel replacement but suggested it was not necessary as it would not fix our current problems. He explained to us what a new electrical panel would do with the associated cost. He recommended to do a troubleshoot first as this will fix most of our problems and then rethink about installing a new panel. The troubleshoot-er came (unfortunately I cannot remember his name) and fixed all our problems one by one within an hour! Thank you. Expert electric has a very professional and knowledgeable team. I highly recommend them and would definitely call for their service again should another electrical issue arise. Thank you for the great service!

The worst guys to deal with extremely dishonest they just want to make a quick buck from you and rush to the next job , I had a very harrowing experience with them , they gave me a price quote and I agreed and we signed upon a work order for 3800$ on the date of the appointment they came in and started and within 2 hours they were ready to walk away without completing the job saying a new price will have to be agreed as there is a switch which they did not figure out , brad was extremely abusive and a pain to deal with , was trying to rush through and left a big mess and even took away my existing landscape lights without my permission . As I had seen the Expert Electric commercials daily, I figured the company must be doing something right - then I checked the reviews and saw how highly praised they were. Chuck himself came out, gave a written estimate (which was adhered to and in fact, less as they didn’t need to do as much as originally estimated) and an appointment was set up for 3 weeks later. They called a couple of days later and were able to come earlier than expected due to a cancellation. The technicians were on time, friendly and professional to the nth degree. They went the extra mile to ensure my other outlets were safe and replaced a couple that had experienced some damage. They even took a moment to investigate another unrelated issue and offer a ballpark on how to resolve it and an approximate estimate on how much it would be to resolve. Scheduled an estimate for electrical work on a new home purchase. Interaction was uncomfortable. Electrician communicated almost exclusively with home owners present rather than the purchasers who hired him. The quote seemed inflated, recommended $6500 worth of work grounding the entire home when most of the home had already been grounded. A subsequent quote from another electrician recommended half the work previously quoted. Customer service was excellent leading up to the estimate, ex. phone calls, scheduling, etc. Had a chat about this after the fact and they were polite and understanding on the phone ... could have just been a one off miscommunication.

My house lost power to half of it about 340 am. After looking at it myself and can't turn things back on I used the chat on the website at 430 am. I explained my situation and how I have no power going to my furnace because of it so I have no heat. They took my information and said some one will contact me soon. By 630 no had contacted me. I used the chat on the website again to follow up. They apologized verified my information as they still had it and said they would resend the information again. 920 am still no contact so I called the office. The person who answered said didn't Chuck contact you? I said no, no one contacted me. Well we are short staffed and can't help you today. I Have No Heat and I contacted you at 430 in the morning. Why didn't someone call me and tell me earlier? Not happy at all. Very poor customer service. Now I have to freeze and try to find someone else.

I called Expert Electric to do an electrical inspection of my 100 yr old house for insurance purpose. Their price was less than two other companies I called, they were able to do this sooner than others. They are licensed, BBB A+ and had valid WCB. Technician Scott arrived and patiently answered my questions (I like to learn) while he inspected my house. He may be young but seems to know a lot about city housing bylaws, not just electrical codes. Would seriously consider them to do major upgrade.

Called this morning (May.2nd/2020), within a few hours, Chuck showed up. Very professional and straight forward. Diagnosed the issue right away. It turned out to be a furnace issue that kept tripping the breaker. He recommended a company for the furnace, called them for me and had everything explained and ready to go for the next guy. Did not complete job I was charged for. Unreadable bill with scribbles everywhere! 4 Jobs I needed DONE with ALL MATERIALS supplied by me EXCEPT washroom fan and about 20ft of Loomex wire. 1. Replace washroom exhaust fan – Fan supplied by electrician. Installation charge $423. 2. Install a semi-flush ceiling light in master bedroom – Light supplied by me. Installation charge $226. 3. Install 2 light switches – switches supplied by me. Installation charge $266. 4. Install 2 motion sensor light – lights supplied by me. Installation charge $363. The tech Mike said it'll cost total $1270 which was higher vs. other quotes. Because Expert Electric had good reviews I decided to go ahead. He explained the quote also takes into account any "unforeseen situations". I ask him to examine/inspect the various job areas, but he says they were fairly standard and straightforward tasks. He comes back a few days later, completes Jobs 1-3 and proceeds to leave. I remind him about Job 4 which was installing 2 motion sensors. He says he never quoted me for that. I say its on your invoice and you've already CHARGED ME FOR IT!!! He then looks sheepishly at me and says he'll have to come back to complete the job. I ask him to make a note on the invoice that he'll be back to complete the job so that I have proof because now I'm getting nervous. He returns a few days later to install the 2 motion lights. Constantly finds excuses about why he cant do it. Every suggestion I give him is countered with excuses. Says its going to cost me another $300 if he has to finish the job. I remind him that HE said quote includes "UNFORSEEN SITUATIONS". He starts arguing with me about it and I don't have the patience for this nonsense. I say fine. Install a breaker and wall outlet instead of the motion lights and please leave. I supplied the plug, wall box, Loomex wire etc. and he supplied the breaker. He also didn't do a so called 16 point inspection which includes testing smoke alarms etc. I NEVER write reviews but this whole situation really got under my skin. I don't know if the tech was deceptive or genuinely misquoted because he didn't know how to accurately read the quotation book that Expert Electric gives every tech. Maybe Expert Electric operates this way, but either way the techs represents the company. To be fair the tech did an "ok" (but not great) work on the jobs that he did complete. Certainly not worth $1200 especially when 90% of the materials were supplied by me. If you are going to use Expert Electric make sure you KNOW exactly what you need. Sometimes you'll get charged $200 for a $3 6ft Romex/Loomex wire or a $10 Lutron light switch. Its how their quotation work. They don't want to keep re-quoting if they use an extra foot of wire or some minor extra material usage. So they quote you a price range that includes a certain length of wire, material etc. This is what the tech meant by "the quote includes unforeseen situations". So if you have simple jobs needed to be done, make sure you are NOT over paying.

Michael Larin was extremely professional and pro-active. He came with tools and hardware all ready - light bulbs, batteries, and fixtures for example. He listened carefully to my three main requests: change a fuse box to a switch box, replace a bedroom light fixture with a new fan light which he suggested I buy, and remove a broken fluorescent bathroom light and install a new light. His advice, based on experience, common sense and electrical knowledge, was sound. Before starting the work he went over the costs and possible time lines with me. Mr. Larin was heroic in breaking through the thick condo drywall originally installed in the sixties to remove the old fuse box and put in the new box. He cleaned up after himself and made sure everything was working before leaving. Now everything is working and looks more modern. Most importantly, I know that my electrical system is safe. I also appreciate the fact that Expert Electric does not keep customers waiting to make an appointment, and that it alerts us to when the worker will be arriving. Placed request online and received a telephone call before the end of business day. Scheduled appointment at a convenient time. Day of the appointment dispatch called and offered an earlier time of arrival--even better! Technician Mike H arrived, easily recognized the issue (bathroom light flickering) and quoted two 'pricey' options (A) replace multi-dimmer-switch >$200, or (B) complete an electrical assessment >$300. I choked at the prices. Mike H was experienced and knowledgeable. He came prepared with the correct parts, could have swapped out the switch in less than 15 minutes, but was friendly and chatty. The cost, with online coupon applied and after tax, $257.66. Otherwise the charge would have been $283.90 for option (A). Mike H left me with a standard corporate page checked off and titled, "16 point electrical safety inspection", which I think was an up-sell opportunity. I chose to proceed with the work, despite the price, because I felt that Mike H was capable of the doing the work correctly. The flickering was resolved and now the switch-on goes from left to right, it used go from right to left; as a result you need to feel around the wall more to find the switch in the dark because it no longer sticks out adjacent to the door. Dispatch followed up within a day or two and quickly asked if the issue was resolved, I said, "yes"; asked if the technician checked the smoke detector, I said, "he pointed to it", she said thank you and hung up. I appreciated the customer service and Mike H's expertise, but the "corporate" cost is more than I can bare. I may call Expert Electric again, but I'd rather find an independent certified electrician who could do similar work for less than $200/15 min

I ran into an issue where I had to have a licensed electrician enter a mechanical room to simply throw a breaker. I found Expert plus a number of others on the internet with a number of others. Contacted them all of them via e-mail or phone message. Expert was the only one to answer. The person I spoke to LINDSY was extremely helpful and went well out of her way to help solve the problem. Within 90 minutes she had sent a unit to my place and 30 minutes later the problem solved. The electrician, (forgot his name) was great and did a quick check of everything. She saved me a lot of money as it was the end of the day and I avoided a callout charge. I highly recommend their services. To the owner of Expert Electric, I cannot say how pleased I was with the customer service of LINDSY, in this day and age, many, if not most businesses are just too busy to actually try and help you without over priced service charges. Both LINDSY and the electrician were nothing but pros, polite and efficient. I would consider them to be excellent employees.

My husband, Thom, and I recently required some electrical work done in our home. We had seen several commercials on TV for Expert Electric starring "Chuck". He was informative, friendly and engaging so we decided to call. We were pleasantly surprised when "Chuck" showed up at our door. Turns out he really IS Chuck and he's the general manager. We explained what we needed by way of upgrades/repairs and he quickly assessed our needs and gave a quote. The amount was reasonable so we arranged for the work to be completed in the near future. Chris and his apprentice took close to seven days and avoided any damage. In total, they only made 2 small holes in ceiling of downstairs bathroom ( the most unintrusive place ). I asked if they can install a fixture they already have in the van for me that same day, they said no and told me it will be another $270 base fee just to come out here again to do the installation. Scott and his guys rewired our whole house, and then arranged a few months later to add a few switches and outlets. A different crew have rewired and done a great deal of service for my parents house, as well. They've always done effective, tidy and all around great work (patching holes, answering questions, etc.) We've been dealing with quite a few contractors after having purchased a new (older house) and Expert are one of the best experiences, especially for such major work. Its a nightmare to deal with them scary arrogant and abusive guys. I hired them for doing electrical wiring and installing new lights in some rooms and they did not arrive on the date agreed and i had to call them again and again they kept saying will come soon i had taken two days off from work and i lost my pay because of there bad planning , finally when they came two weeks later the electrician they sent seemed to have no clue and he kept on phoning someone called James and then Robert to take instructions but it did not seem to work out and he left mid way and came back a couple of days later and asked me to pay 2750$ instead of the 1200 $ that was agreed It was a nightmare to talk as the guy was super abusive and threatening and agressive ripped me off and i had to press the panic button on my alarm to thwart him , i will be reporting them to the better business bureau too

Do great work but have to wonder about their pricing. Had 2 outlets on one wall not working. Was charged $250.00 for diagnosis which took 30 minutes max and another $95.00 to install 1 new outlet which took 15 minutes max. The part sells for $39.00 at Home Depot is .....$345.00 seems very overpriced to me. Have used them a few times now and never felt I was overcharged until now. Feel dissapointed.

Froilan came when he was expected and did the necessary repairs. The service was prompt, efficient and courteous. He also did a couple of other small things for us without additional charge including a safety inspection, although the initial quote was high. His quote for installing wired-in smoke alarms was quite high as well (from the company's book, not random). The reason for a 4 star rather than a 5 is due to their prices. Having said that, however, I would likely use them again.

These guys are fantastic! We had them install a bathroom fan for us (service, install was all great), but the fan started to be very loud. We called and they were out promptly to check on the fan. I have hired various electricians over the years, including from Expert Electric, but Brad from Expert Electric is the best we’ve had, exceeding all expectations. A circuit breaker had tripped, breaking the switch in the circuit panel, plunging the kitchen into darkness & cutting off the fridge. I called about 4:15pm Friday, and the office arranged for an electrician to come between 10:00 & 12:00 the next day, thereby avoiding overtime costs, since if necessary, I could transfer contents to another fridge or freezer. Brad arrived Saturday morning & quickly rewired and replaced the broken circuit switch in less than an hour; (in addition, he replaced a broken light switch at no cost). I was amazed at how remarkably quick and efficient he is. I have an older home, so the same has happened before in the panel, and we had been advised in the past that we would eventually have to put in a new panel. Brad told me that he could rewire the Circuit Breaker panel at half the cost of a new one, and explaining and showing me what he would do. He is very approachable and answered all my questions and concerns. My problem has been that more than 1 appliance is on single breakers. He told me that each major appliance should be on its own. I made an appointment on the earliest day that I would be home. Expert Electric called at 8:05am that the electrician would arrive within 30 min, and Brad arrived within 15 min. Brad did exactly as promised, including neatly labeling each switch after completion, explaining what he had done. The old panel looks new. Brad’s work is very meticulous, considering that he is so quick, but he is a perfectionist in the results. After his job was finished, he even offered to and replaced some burnt out bulbs, which I had been planning to do using a step ladder; But easy for him since he is much taller than I am. I am in North Vancouver, and I would say that Brad is the best electrician on the North Shore, and in the lower mainland. The office staff followed up after each visit. Kudos to Expert Electric for your superior staff.

Very poor experience with this Company. Pricing was ridiculous. Needed a baseboard heater replaced. After initial call out I was informed the heater had to be replaced. This visit costs $315. Then I was given an estimate to replace the heater $485. And I would have to provide the heater. So $1000 to replace a simple baseboard heater. After comments lodged with Facebook and BBB I was accused of slander and told by them I was not welcome to do business with them. I too went with TDR and was very happy with them.

Called this company to help us with some ongoing power issues in our home, we live in an older home and the wiring was dated. we were having problems with our power more and more often. We were having another issue with the power once again, and we called expert electric and they sent brad who came and repaired our problem. He explained that our wiring was done in a "knob and tube" style that was one of the oldest wiring done in the days when our home was originally built he suggested we replace all this wiring because due to the age it would continue to have problems and was dangerous, he gave us a quote and explained how he would do the work, we agreed and he came back at a later scheduled date and completed the work, he managed to rewire a good portion of our home with minimal damage, our ongoing power issues have stopped and now everything works as it should, they were easy to work with they followed up to make sure everything was still working properly a few days later. All in all a good experience. We didn't enjoy the fact that this needed to be done but Expert Electric made it as pain free as possible. Would recommend .

I needed my whole place checked as I have aluminum wiring and needed to make sure everything was treated properly with pigtails. The electricians that came out (Scott and Evan) were friendly, courteous and professional and completed the work in the time allotted. The work was done on a Thursday and Friday (I had 2 suites that needed to be completed), and by Tuesday I had my inspection report! We feel completely ripped off by this company. We hired them to install a 240 V outlet in our garage. There was already a 240 line available in the circuit box, and no plumbing or HVAC in the wall. They insisted it would be 6-hour job, which surprised us and we should have gotten another bid at this point. The reality was, he completed the job in under 3 hours (same guy who estimated it). He would not adjust the bill. When we emailed the company we got a form letter back -- clearly they have had this issue before. We followed up with a phone call and the owner was very rude and belligerent and would not listen to us. Do not hire this company.

I was visited by Chuck Lewis, the general manager to do the quote. (He even provided Temptations treats for my cat!) After I accepted the quote, the appointment was set up for the job. I booked a quote to install a NEMA 14-50 plug in my garage for the charger that came with my Ford Mustang Mach-E. The booking for the quote went very quick. The electrician who came to quote was friendly and helpful. Upon contacting Expert Electric to proceed, they were able to send the same electrician back pretty quickly to install. My wife works from home, with her office in the same room as the panel, he was mindful of her and did not disturb her work. He completed the instal faster than we thought, and all was working well. A couple days later I noticed the cable was routed along the side of the house in a way that visually stood out. I was under the impression it was going to be a little more hidden. I contacted Expert Electric and asked if they could re route the cable low along the wall. Not only did they agree to come back, but the same electrician came in 2 business days! He took care of it very quickly. Again he was friendly and did not disturb my wife at work. I found the way they handled this minor issue was exceptional. I trust Expert Electric, and highly recommend them for any home electrician services. Their customer service, and quality of workmanship is outstanding.

My furnace stopped working, a furnace repair company came and couldn't get it going, told me I needed to wait three days for an electrician. So I phoned Expert Electric on a Saturday morning at 7:30. Chuck himself called me before 8, listened to my situation, and walked me through getting my furnace going. The man talked me out of hiring him!
