I had told the owner Wesley what had happened and he said he would send one of his guys over immediately. I found CBS to be responsive, professional, and courteous. I left a message online near end of day on a Friday, and within three minutes I got a return phone call. The technician offered to do a "free fix" by phone, if possible, and when that didn't work, they had someone out to my home the next business day first thing in the morning. Later that day, the fellow that took my original call, contacted me to make sure that my problem had been resolved, which it was. Rarely, do I find any business that offers this kind of customer support--it was impressive.

CBS did a satisfactory job with our new house build in Nanaimo. The new wiring met code and the first stages were done in a timely manner. However, we were met with a scheduling issue on CBS's side which affected our occupancy date. We also have an outstanding item (kitchen cabinet lighting) now 9 months after the final bill was paid. We understand pandemic stocking issues have made scheduling more challenging, and our outstanding item is relatively minor however we are now looking into finishing the job ourselves or hiring another local contractor. For the price I paid I would have hoped for more complete job. Again, the company did a satisfactory job but certainly not one worthy of five stars.

I contacted CBS after a referral from a friend. Immediate response and work started within days. I had the power knocked out in my bathroom and had Lee call me and walk me through troubleshooting. Found out it was simple GFCI wall plug reset that was needed. All was done over the phone and cost me nothing! Appreciate the easy troubleshooting and in turn will make them my first call going forward!!

I have used CBS multiple times now for personal residence jobs as well as for large jobs in my strata corporation. They are an extremely professional company who does great work and provides timely responses to any questions asked. Their prices are extremely competitive in the Victoria area and they are quite flexible with scheduling. For example, our Strata was getting CBS to replace all the interior lights in our building and we had a major flood the week before the job. CBS pushed our install by two weeks with no complaint and even broke up the job to come back in a month to do one floor that wasn't able to be completed due to the water damage. One of their senior electricians, David came over for a site visit and we determined where the Tesla EV charger would be placed. We also determined that additional wiring needed to be undertaken. Today, a 'silver seal' inspection was completed by Lee Grant, after my husband did a lot of renovations to our manufactured home. As the walls were 'open' this required that they take out a permit to complete the work. In all, this required several visits to our home, and a few repairs required in order to pass the inspection. On each occasion, the electrician showed up within ten minutes of the expected time, which is uncommonly timely! Lee was a pleasure to deal with, as were the electricians. We are very appreciative of the work that was done and the level of professionalism. On one occasion, we left the electrician to do his work, leaving the doors open because it was a very hot day. We returned to find that he had secured the home before leaving, which was not our experience with a different company that we contracted to do some other reno work. Locking a door isn't difficult, but we were grateful for the consideration. We highly recommend CBS Electrical! Thanks so much for making this such a painless process for us!

They came out March 25 to our home in Oak Bay to install 2 gfi outlets in our backyard and repair the wiring to a lighting fixture. When the electrician (Hi Ed!) came to do the work on the 25 he was fast, respectful and cleaned everything up. I was worried that my small job wouldn’t be worth their time but they were very responsive and things went smoothly. In a town full of contractors who regularly Ghost you it’s nice to meet one who gets it. I recommend CBS Electrical and will use them again.

Had an issue with a series of three track light fixtures running off a dimmer switch; lots of flickering, and a loud buzzing heard coming from the lights and from the switch panel. The situation was disruptive enough that two employees had to be displaced, and we needed a fix asap. Tech from CBS arrived the same day, on time, ran some quick tests, swapped out a component, and gave us clear and specific maintenance feedback so the issue would be unlikely to re-occur. The total repair process took less than twenty minutes and now the circuit is running noise- and flicker-free. Invoice was reasonable, and in particular I noted the absence of an upcharge on the materials (which I have come to expect from local contractors). Will definitely hire again next time we need electrical work.
