My insurance company asked for the panel to be certified and he arranged that to be done so I didn't have to worry about it. Price was also reasonable. James was a lifesaver when our pool pump kept tripping the breaker. He was able to come over the same day as he happened to be in the neighbourhood and got it back up and running. He suggested putting it on a separate circuit, and scheduled in a journeyman and an apprentice to come by the week after to take care of that, as well as install an outdoor fixture and repair an indoor fixture that we had been wanting to get done for months. The quote was fair (less than $100 for parts, $100-$200 for labour). The two guys showed up promptly at 8:30am and were done all 3 jobs by 10am. The bill came to $270 and everything works great! Will definitely use McVey Electrical again, and highly recommend.

Wish I could give these guys 10 stars...I called them on based on reviews I found on the internet and they definitely have earned their reputation. My retired parents had a electrical outlet fail in their home. Normally this wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that this outlet supplied power to vital medical equipment. I spoke with the owner of the company, James, and he was able send out one of his employees, Derek, out on very short notice, just over an hour from the time I called. They made repairs, tested the outlet and also ran a new dedicated line for the equipment. "Safe", "fast and courteous service", "peace of mind", "all the right stuff", describes this company. We are going to have them come back and check out the entire home in the near future.

Had James install a 220 outlet for a new stove. Couldn't be happier with his service and value (compared to another local company I used before to install a new panel for $4500). Ended up having a small issue when I finished installing the box myself (as I requested). James got back to me right away and walked me through the simple fix by email.
