I'm very happy that I chose Mr. Electric for my electrical needs! I have a 1970's-built home with aluminum wiring (common for the time period), which is generally considered safe so long as the outlets and light-fixtures are properly pig-tailed. Paul and his team performed an outstanding job on our home. I was emailed ahead of time to confirm my appointment, they arrived right on time, and did a professional job, checking every outlet (both inside and out) and even moved an outlet that was too close to my laundry sink. They took pictures of their work to send to the Electrical Safety Authority as well, whom certified their work without the typical need for an on-site visit. Having been scammed before with your typical under the table kind of contractors, I am happy to endorse Mr Electric. You may pay more than your fly by night under the table guy but these people will fix your electrical problems properly. Don't mess around with electricity because your house could burn to the ground! You really do get what you pay for. Real good Service, Call Susana on Monday, had an emergency to get fixed, she made the best appt on Tuesday, Paul S was the Tech that came to my Condo and did the job, very courteous, on time - came within the window, even sent email to me that he is on the way . Explained everything to me and gave estimate before anything else, I gave the go ahead and Paul went to work, got it all done in good time. The people are great however, the price is a bit high , yes I know they gave me an estimate ahead of the job being done - and since it was an emergency I went with it, BUT, if given a choice, I would shop around first.. I have ZERO Complaints on the service I got from Susana and Paul - that was Amazing 5 STAR Service, however, the rate per hour as base rate was too much.. I will still keep them in the backpocket as a back up - all in all - Very Satisfied. Very Happy - thank you Paul and Susana

We started to experience some bad connection in the pot light so we decide to call a certify electrician. So we find MR. Electric. After is inspection, he ad told us that the entire wiyering was not up to code and that the plug in the bathroom and beside the kitchen shink was not surge plug and this also was not up to code. So we want on whit him. And we have also adding an electrical box in the dining area and more outlet in the kitchen and install dimer and every room. We hired Mr. Electric West to bring everything up to code. The work is fantastic, the price is right and the service received is spectacular from Adrian the electrician to they office employee Linda and Susan. This is watt I call real customers service. I was really impressed with the timeliness of their response and how professional the electrician was that came to our home. He was really knowledgeable and was able to diagnose the issue to resolve quickly. I was really unhappy with the cost of parts for the repair. Their labour costs are already high, but their markup on parts was way out of line. I had to have a faulty breaker replaced in my panel. Mr Electric's part charge was $87 for a breaker I could have bought at Home Depot for $10. I understand marking up parts to make money but 9x more than retail is ridiculous. If you need something done quickly and done well, I'd recommend using this company, but you're going to pay $$$'s for it.

The electrician (Victor) showed up on time and was easy to speak with. He understood my needs, made some great suggestions and provide a quote. I decided to go with the quote provided (I had about $3,300 worth of work done); I wasn’t disappointed. I recently purchased a Kia Soul EV. I began to research approved Electric Vehicle Charging Stations. Each time I looked Mr. Electrics web site came up in my browser. I asked them for a quote. It was delivered very promptly and had all the information I might want. That was not true of other requests for information and price. It was the first time I had run across the name of Sun Country Highway. More research told me Sun Country was Canadian and there was a very interesting story attached to the company. I ordered the charger from Mr. Electric. Correspondence with their representative, Susan Brant, was always prompt and clear. I did have to wait for the delivery of the charger. It was back ordered by Sun Country. Susan stayed in constant touch with me passing on information from Sun Country. She really went "to bat" to get my order as soon as possible. Mr. Electric even offered to give me a rebate on any future work I might be able to contract with them. I cannot speak too highly of the communication and the service from Mr. Electric. Paul Blake

I had Paul from Me. Electric GTA west add a 240V heater and switch for a heater for my garage. They got me an appt quickly and he was there right on time. Thought I had all the parts but needed a new breaker and he was able to source one (not a sure thing these days...) quickly and at a reasonable price. The whole job was completed quickly and Paul walked me through the couple of thing he had to wrangle, but did the whole thing for the agreed to price. Looking forward to working out in my garage home gym today with heat!

I reached out to Mr. Electric and asked for a quote on pigtailing the aluminum connections with copper, and Linda sent a very detailed quote, breaking down everything that needs to be done. A few days later, Miro and Davor showed up. They not only went through EVERY outlet/switch in and outside of the house, they also fixed multiple other issues they noticed (such as open grounds, missing GFCI in required places). The electricians really try to do the best job they can, and work really hard to make everything perfect. It was a huge job (50+ receptacles), and they worked until late that day to get it done. On top of it all, after they are done, they are so confident in their work that they arrange an ESA inspection (which I happily passed :) ) Will definitely use Mr. Electric again! I was disappointed by the service of this company despite having an amazing experience with their sister company (Mr. Rooters). I called to schedule an estimate on electrical work to bring a basement apartment up to the electrical code. The electrician arrived on scene and was very polite. However, I was provided the wrong estimate multiple times. To make things worse, after the estimate visit was completed, I was informed that I have to report the basement apartment to the Electrical Safety Authority or the company would report it. I was never informed of this on the call when I spoke to them about my situation. To top it off, I had to make this call only 5 hours before my flight out of the country, which as you can imagine but my day into disarray. I did not appreciate the lack of information/transparency from the company as it made my day a mess. A clear and transparent approach might have made me choose them, however, I picked a different competitor to get the work done.

Each time the electrician has been friendly, listens to our input, and takes the time to explain what the problem was and how it will be corrected.The problems have been fixed the first itme (no need for a second visit). My tenants were using the washer and dryer at the same time, power to both went out. I thought it was just a fuse replacement, but it turned out that it was more complex. I found Mr. Electric off of Yelp and set up an appointment within a couple days. They arrived early, were well prepared and diagnosed the issue within a few minutes. The fuse had blown, but also the wiring was all wrong (I didn't think anything of it when I originally purchased the unit). They did the work, gave me a couple options, of both an inexpensive and expensive alternative. They were completely professional, very friendly, and weren't trying to upsell their work. It was nice to see that the technician brought along an apprentice too. Overall, Mr. Electric were fantastic! I'd highly recommend them.

They cleaned up at the end of each day and were particularly careful to limit wall and ceiling damage. Price was competitive and schedule was met. They stayed until the project was completed. Very well organized company. The dispatcher set up an appointment, confirmed via email with the name and photo of the electrician who would do the job or provide a quote. In this case it was an upgrade from an old fuse box to a breaker panel in a fairly old house, so one could expect some issues. Adrian Maier thoroughly explained the procedure and provided a quote. Once accepted, the office coordinated with Hydro the date to disconnect the house. I had a one-week (which happened to be the following week) window for the job, and somehow they managed to set it up with Hydro (normal wait time is 2-3 weeks) to accommodate my timing. As soon as the power was back after 6-7 hours, Adrian connected first the furnace and the fridge (a very logical move), while working on remaining circuits. It took a while, which was to be expected, but there was no rushing and no short cuts. I was thoroughly satisfied with the job.

Mr. Electric is a sharp reminder why you should always get three quotes. Sure, they came out right away - and took me for some sort of sucker. Best quote (incl hst): $695, second best quote: $881.40, Mr. Electric's quote (drum roll please...): $1469.00 for a difference of $587.60. The fellow was very friendly and personable, he seemed honest. I called them first, but fortunately I had a mind to keep calling around. I am posting this because I know that many people don't bother getting more than one quote and I feel it is important to warn you. For one example, they put in their quote that the permit and inspection costs $175.00 when it is in fact $80.00.
