I took around 12 hours of behind the wheel training with Adan, and I greatly recommend him if you are just starting out with driving. He was patient and calm when I made errors, and gave me great feedback which helped me improve quickly. He was easily accessible, and was always on time for our lessons. Having assessed the weak areas, he focused the later lessons to specifically hone in on them, which greatly helped during my test! Thanks to him pushing me out of my comfort zone, I am now comfortable driving on the highways too. Never short of an interesting story, there was never a dull moment while training with him! First off, i want to thank mr. Ali for taking time out to accept my short notice on driving refreshment courses. I haven't driven in a little over 12 years but ali made me feel comfortable when getting behind the wheel. He has been the best instructor I've come across. I have had trouble with the parking. So I took a 2 hour driving session here. My instructor was Ali. I spoke to him couple of times over the phone to clarify my doubts before taking the road test. Adan was extremely helpful and friendly. He was able to make me confident in the road very quickly. He's a very patient teacher, and even though I never drove before our first class, I was able to drive on the highway by the end of it. He also has a great knowledge on the drivers test, and can gave specific advice as to what the testers are looking for. Overall I can 100% recommend Adan, I can't imagine getting a better teacher.

If you are a nervous driver, Ali would be a godsend instructor for you. I failed my first attempted driving test because I almost lost control of vehicle during the test (I was trained by a different instructor before this test). When I met Ali, I asked for 5 lessons because I was nervous after my first attempt. After our first session, Ali told me that I will just need 2-3 sessions. I really appreciated his professionalism and honesty (he could have easily booked me for 5 sessions, since I was asking for it, but decided to do what was right). In terms of the actual driving instructions, Ali was always very calm and patient. He has lot of experience and within few minutes he will identify what is lacking in your driving and will make you practice on that (instead of just burning hours of instruction time practicing what you can already do good). He also pushes you out of your comfort zone. For example, after a snowstorm, he made me practice to drive on a snow covered street, so that I can be ready to drive confidently during Minnesota winters (this eventually helped as my driving test was after a major snowstorm). He is punctual (was never late or rescheduled the session), gives you his full attention and had a rich experience of training different types of students. Even on the test day, I was really amazed by his support and help. Despite freezing Minneapolis weather, he made me do a recap of parking before the test (he had to step out in cold and set-up cones). Similarly, when I cleared the test, I offered him to go back as application process would have taken some time. It was a day after a major snowstorm and he stayed there with me till my license application was completed (since I would not have found an Uber because of snow). I was really lucky to find him as my driving instructor. My sincere thanks and gratitude to him for his lessons and all his support and encouragement.

He also went the extra mile and actively searched for available time slots that would work for both of us when road test centers reopened (after shutting down due to COVID) so I could take my road test as soon as possible. To start with, I reached out many other driving instructors in and around St.Paul and Minneapolis everyone said we all booked out for few months. One day around 3pm I called Ali, he said I can come for you at 6pm for a class I was joyful. What I did? 1. I went clean slate. I didn’t wanted my 14 years of overseas driving experience influence my behind the wheel learning and confuse myself with instructions given by Ali and Aden. 2. Memorise the instructions: Once the class is finished, write down and memorise the instructions it helped a lot for my next class and obviously my drive test. 3. Mock Drive Test: As per my request Aden did a mock test and gave his genuine score so that I know what mistakes Idid and gives opportunity to correct. 4. Progression Vs Perfection: I didn’t expect to be perfect on day one of my class. I improved my drive skills with the help of Ali & Aden’s teaching. 5. Be Humble and Genuine: When you go to learn from someone who is a master in that area be humble and naive to learn from them. Ali & Aden were most respectful. 6. Joy of getting Licence on first attempt: Consistent & persistent attempt and dedicated preparation leads to achievements. I was so joyful to get my License on my first attempt coming from overseas and not driving for over 7 months due to COVID situation. Ali is an absolutely amazing teacher. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of the Minneapolis roadways and laws. He knows his way around this city better than I know my way around my apartment. Ali told me that he is also a high school math teacher, and his teaching skills definitely translate from the classroom onto the road. Okay so Ali was my instructor. He made sure to hit the nail on the head with certain techniques that you need to learn for parking (in my case specifically). instructor Ali is great! He is super nice, patient, and experienced! I should have listened to him making appointment at Plymouth DVS the first place. (2 fails at Eagan and passed with flying colors at Plymouth）To anyone who gonna take a road test in MN soon, ❶don't do it in Eagan (especially don't do it on snowy days cuz they won't shovel at all) their 90° back-in space is super tight/their parallel parking spots are weirdly set/examiners are not nice nor friendly, sometimes they even trick you. ❷In Plymouth, 90° back-in and parallel parking spots are way wider than Eagan/examiner is way nicer/they do tests on weekends too! ❸just practise with Instructor Ali, and download & familiarize with the course map and remember those special spots and you definitely will pass. All in all, Ali is a great teacher! thank you

My goal this summer was to get my license and Ali helped me do that. I had took one BTW lesson with a different school but stopped because they charged me way too much for a 2 hour lesson. Ali did an excellent job teaching me at reasonable prices. I had never attempted parallel or 90° parking before taking his lessons and he helped me get comfortable with both very quickly. Hes very patient, professional and encouraging which helped me become more confident on the road. He also scheduled my test for me for a much earlier date so I didnt have to wait 2 months. On the day of my road test, he had one of the other instructor, Zach, take me there. We practiced for 2 hours before my test and I ended up passing. Zach was also an awesome instructor. This would not have been possible without the training provided at the Safari driving school. The aspect most important about Adan is his patience and his ability to explain things without ever yelling at you. This is important, as it helps build your confidence.
