Ram is a very good instructor but they cancelled and reschedule every class for me, which is very inconvenient when you book and pay for baby seating in advance and can’t get your refund. If they improve in this, it’s the best driving school!!

They were extremely thorough and professional, making sure I was very well trained in driving smoothly, all the rules of the road, decision making, hazard perception, and everything else necessary to be a safe driver. Ram coached me through my weaknesses well enough that I had the knowledge and confidence to pass my Road Test on my first attempt! Great school, highly recommended!

The instructor is good but the person on call was rude she initially asked me to pay $300 for 3 lessons of 90 minutes each and then charged $15 in addition to $300 cause I wasn't born in September :) Also I was charged $157 for using their vehicle for the driving test @ICBC, Vernon. $315 + $157 = $472 I paid $270 for 3*90 minutes lessons and $80 for using the vehicle during test @ICBC, Kelowna with Kelowna Driving School even though I ain't born in September! And the instructor here too was good. $270 + $80 = $350

Exceptionally unprofessional and rude business. The overall experience during the communication phase of booking lessons was poor as the manager's attitude was unprofessional and aggressive. He/She Does not respect clients and get highly sensitive if a client does not call back (despite not having booked any lessons in the first place). The manager is very persistent to sign up a client and demands payment for service before meeting up in person. The company does not have a debit/credit machine or a business bank account either. The manager also does not answer questions unless you commit to buying lessons. She got very angry with me when I decided not to book lessons as I had reason to doubt that the school was not ICBC accredited (as it was not listed under ICBC Kelowna's list). Even though this was cleared out and I expressed interest to sign up for lessons, he/she got aggressive and told me that I was a "child", "behaving like the prime minister of canada". She followed by saying irrelevant statements like "stop using us, stop taking advantage of us", when all I had asked was about lessons. Sending messages like "why should we when you do not have time to answer my call", when I have full time job commitments and called at my earliest convenience to infact BOOK with them. The manager was so persistent that she asked if she could call me at 2 am in the morning to book lessons. Did not have a chance to meet up with the instructor Ram who I am sure is a fantastic driving instructor. My advice to the instructor would be to dissociate himself from the unprofessional manager.

We are so thankful for Ram and Budget Driving School!! When we got a last minute spot for a driver’s test we called everywhere to get a lesson – every place was booked solid! We had lessons from another school that were not through and did not prepare our daughter for her test. When we tried calling Budget, we were so thankful that they were able to fit us in at the last minute just before our daughter’s test. Our daughter was so comfortable with Ram!! He gave great tips and instruction, he didn’t just teach her to drive safely, he also helped give her confidence so that she was able to take the test and not get overrun by her nerves. She passed her test and we know that Ram’s instruction was the missing piece! Thanks so much for everything!! So excited to have our daughter a safe driver with a licence!!

Excellent experience with this school & Ram, I took a 90 minute lesson, a mock test and used their car for my road test and I passed the first time. Ram is a excellent instructor, clear instructions, he makes absolutely sure you fully understand any questions you have, his calm demeanor and friendly attitude is a excellent fit if you're a nervous driver in anyway. I absolutely recommend taking lessons with him, and I shopped around before taking lessons here as well. Going into my test I felt completely comfortable and relaxed, thanks to his help. Two years ago, I took some lessons at this driving school to prepare for my Class 7N road test and passed the road test. I recently took the road test to get my Class 5 license, and I passed the road test. I wanted to thank Ram for his guidance and support. He built good driving habits in me and provided valuable advice/clear instructions on how to succeed in driving. Not only did he share tips on how to pass the test, but he also wanted to make sure that all students knew to drive safely in future (outside of the road tests). Ram was a very empathetic driving instructor who gave me the confidence and motivation to learn successfully. Not only did I manage to pass the road test in 2019, but I was also able to develop these good habits and continue practicing them during my recent road test. Finally, I wanted to highlight the professionalism and understanding this driving school possesses compared to other driving schools. I booked a last-minute road test; they were the only driving school that was kind enough to make arrangements for me to attend their lessons and use their car for the driving test. Shoutout to Connie for making this possible! Also, they were willing to drive to places as far as UBCO to pick me up for driving lessons, making it very convenient for university students. I know some driving schools do not pick students up from UBCO due to the location and require them to meet at a more central location such as Orchard Park mall. I would highly recommend this driving school because they are willing to go the extra mile (literally!) to ensure that your needs are accommodated and provide the best possible environment for you to achieve success in the driving test!

So, I am from SA and our road rules there is rather different from Canada this whole experience stressed me out completely. I went for my road test once on my own and failed so I had to make a plan as I needed someone to assist me with redoing my road test which was this morning. On very very short notice I found contact details for Budget Driving school and I made contact with them Connie was so helpful over the phone and message services she managed to get me booked for a driving class and instructor to assist me this past Saturday. When the vehicle stopped I met this soft, gentle and kind person Ram he listened to my needs we got into my car and started driving he was amazing made enough comments and was so motivating and honest. This morning we met to go for my road test and still he kept me so positive telling me how I got this. This is BY FAR the best driving school in Kelowna! After numerous failed attempts with both Young Drivers and All Weather Driving, I assumed I just wasn’t meant for the road. At both these institutions, the instructors always made me feel dumb, incompetent and unconfident. They always just pointed out my faults, insisting I need more lessons because I wasn’t good enough. At 33 years old, I almost quit because of how they made me feel about my driving skills. I decided to give it one last go with Budget, and it is because of them I was finally able to get my license. The kindness and positivity of Ram radiated, and it only took me 4 lessons to get my confidence to a level where I was brave enough to take the plunge and go for my exam. I cannot thank this company enough, they even swapped appointments around to ensure I got my final lesson in a day before my exam. In addition, they even followed up with me after my exam because they care so much about of the success of their students. If it weren’t for Budget driving, I probably would’ve given up on myself. The level of encouragement, kindness, patience and compassion goes above and beyond. While the other two institutions previously mentioned only care about taking people’s money, making students think they are horrible drivers just so they can squeeze more money out lesson after lesson, Budget places the utmost importance in giving their students postitive reinforcement every step of the way.

Ram is an excellent teacher, very patient, calm, and encouraging. He really knows how to calm your nerves as a new driver which makes all the difference. I came to him with the challenge of learning to drive in 10 lessons with almost no outside practice and managed to pass on my first driving test. Connie is very accommodating with the scheduling and replies promptly. I would recommend this driving school to anyone and highly recommend all new drivers get at least a few lessons with Ram so they are that much more confident as new drivers! I just passed the road test today. If you see my review, you definitely saved so much time. Here is the story: 1- The old driving school I went to I'm kinda new to BC/Kelowna and was in the process of getting my license so I went to a driving school (I'll not name the school or the instructor). He was aggressive, makes you uncomfortable and nervous while driving because his bad behavior of teaching. So I regret every single cent I paid to that school. 2- Budget Driving School The manager Connie, she's really a nice and accommodating person. She does her best to give you the best lesson's time that fits your schedule and always there when you ask about anything and quickly replies to your messages. Unlike the other driving schools. At the beginning I was really worried because the bad experience I've had with the other driving school. But guess what after the first lesson with Ram, he totally changed my mind. He is not just a good instructor, but he's a fantastic and wonderful instructor, he takes you from a beginner (even without any experience) to a really good and confident driver. He quickly recognizes what you're good at and what you need to work on more. He's an experienced instructor and knows exactly how to teach you most difficult techniques with a simple and easy way. Ram gives you all tips and tricks that make you a confident driver and to pass the road test. He's so patient and makes you comfortable with the driving wheel. I also had a few lessons with Vino (the other instructor), he's so patient and explains everything you need in a clear way. He also gives you a confident to be a good driver. Vino always makes a connection between what you might've done wrong and what it should be correctly done, that way you never forget the rule of roads. Both instructors are really great at what they do. You exactly get what you pay for. You'll never regret what you've paid for lessons in Budget school.

To everyone who are looking for reviews to choose a good school. Please read this My nightmare Before learning with Budget Driving School, I have wasted a lot of money taking 10 lessons with a popular driving school in Kelowna to learn nothing. The instructor of the school was very lazy, yawning most of the time during my lesson and never teach me enough or the right method. I was taught by 4 instructors at different times, one instructor will teach me parking the way he knows and the other instructor will say that his method was wrong and teach me his way. This was very confusing. In fact I learned nothing. There was no understanding among their instructors. It was a real disappointment for me. I failed 4 times and on my last test day I met my old friend Max and he was with an instructor from Budget Driving School, my friend introduced me to Ram. I contacted him. I became Ram’s student and my whole concept of driving changed. He was surprised that my skills were not up to his expectations. Ram taught me thoroughly and diligently, his teaching methods were so simple and it built my confidence that I will pass in my 5th attempt. Yes, I did well. All credit goes to Ram. I believe it is not how long a school has been in the market or how experienced they are, but it is about how dedicated and efficient an instructor should be. First of all request to stay with the same teaching method, which may mean same instructor, it will help in the long run.
