Ashley has been a lifesaver to our family! Our 18 month old Dane mix George has suffered from seperation anxiety, constant anttention seeking and bad manners inside and outside. Since moving to Sudbury his anxiety got much worse from constant barking to destructive behaviours. With Ashley’s amazing support, Guidance and hard work George is now crate trained and now loves his crate which is a huge success as he has never liked it and would bark for hours while inside of it. Alongside now being able to be left alone in the crate in a calm state, we are seeing huge improvements with him walking on the leash and his inside manners/boundaries. I would highly reccomend Ashley to any dog owners! I wish we would of called her sooner. Ashley has a way with dogs and is very compassionate and kind.She is committed to helping improve your overall lifestyle to benefit your dog and self as an owner. We hired Ashley as soon as we brought our Golden-doodle home because we have a 4-year-old son and wanted to raise them together in a positive way. Our puppy Clifford's training started around twelve weeks, and now, at only seven months old, our dog doesn't jump on people when they come over, respects boundaries of "off-limit" toys and rooms, and walks beautifully on a leash. The best part is - NO TREATS NEEDED! Any dog training facility can teach your dog to sit, come, and lie down for treats, but it won't help when you're on a walk and your dog decides to run toward another dog coming at it! Ashley teaches you how to be the "alpha" with your dog by helping you understand dog language and behaviour! We had to put the work in and do our "homework" consistently, just like we would for teaching our son teamwork and routine, and the results were fantastic! A dog is like a child, where you have to set up the expectations for them to be successful and "set the scene," or they'll make mistakes, but it's a learning process that if you stick to, you will never regret! We are great at training 70% of the time (with our dog and our son, haha!), but it's that consistency and not giving up that has resulted in the most beautiful relationship between our human son and our fur son! If you want to get a puppy and have it be obedient and well-trained as soon as possible, call Ashley immediately! Ashley is supportive, intuitive, encouraging, and respectful - I cannot recommend her enough!

I couldn’t disagree more with the last review! I have 2 giant breed dogs and Ashley has been vital to training our family how to handle them. Ashley made herself available through the pandemic like a champ, inviting me to outdoor, distanced walk training and private sessions working with leash pulling. She showed up with her mask on, ready to teach and train. Ashley located an XL head halter for my Saint Bernard when I was unable to find one! To the last reviewer, this past year is not reflective of Bark Busters regular operation! All small businesses were severely effected by lockdowns, home schooling, Covid-19 deaths and isolation. I value Ashley’s services and highly recommend her and Bark Busters.

Our one-year old rescued GSD (Miika) met our BarkBuster trainer at our front door and responded to her right away. Miika used to be dominant and aggressive. Now Miika is a pleasure to be with. Ashley is a behavioural expert. She is always on the ball and knows what to do. And for me that's saying a lot because I have a Ph.D. in behavioural sciences, though I work with humans. If you are willing to work the BarkBusters' program, you will be given all the tools needed to get your dog(s) in line FAST! We dealt with a very anxious adult Boxer. We tolerated a young aggressive Great Dane. We were at our wits end. We needed help. We had never heard of Bark Busters. My husband and I hired Ashley to help us with our puppy when she was only 8 weeks old. We did not have a lot of experience with dogs, and we wanted to learn how to best communicate with her. When I called Ashley, I knew that it was really my husband and I who needed the training. We started unusually young with the pup to start with Ashley, but we're glad we did, because my husband and I could be trained to correct initial mis-steps (such as not immediately using a crate or using it consistently). The cost is a fantastic deal when you consider that she is available to us whenever we need her FOR THE LIFE OF THE DOG, and she is truly passionate about what she does. And not only is she available, but she actually follows up with us on a regular basis. Ashley provides ongoing phone, text and email support, and regular visits to our home. My husband and I are human, and at times, we have not fallen through with something that worked while Ashley was here. Just like learning anything, it takes practice and coaching. Ashley's incredibly patient, supportive feedback has reinforced for us that when we really follow through with what she tells us and shows us, it works. The best analogy I can offer is this. If you want to lose weight and get fit, you can join a gym. But just buying the membership and not doing the work will not get results. Same goes for this. Ashley is a coach. She will work tirelessly with you to help you achieve the results you want with your dog, but you have to do the work. Ashley is there to continually offer support - and she is an absolute sweetheart to work with, a kind heart, with such a passion for dogs. When we first met Ashley, she asked us what our goal was for the dog. We said that as she grew (lab/shepherd/husky mix), we wanted a gentle giant loved by everyone, and trustworthy with children. My husband and I bought a labradoodle puppy in December of 2017. After bringing her home we noticed that she had some major separation anxiety. Ashley invited me to attend a lesson with her yesterday. It was a great experience to watch her clear explanation of dog communication. She kept the family engaged as she guided them to communicate much more effectively with their dog. It was incredible to watch the problem behaviours we had witness upon arrival, improve immediately as the dog understood exactly what the family wanted from him. What a joy to watch a dog that had made a game out of not coming to them when they called, change within minutes to a dog that ran full out, ears flopping, to get to them for praise. I was doubtful my old lab could learn new tricks but Ashley was able to help us curb the behaviour that was the hardest. Our dog would always bark and dart for our guest that walked in the door, leaving them unsure if the gentle dog was going to attack. We had our first session with Ashley from Bark Busters Sudbury tonight, and the experience was wonderful.There were many options that we had considered when looking at training, but the in-home training is definitely an excellent fit for our dog, as it caters to his personal needs. Ashley was extremely personable, easy to talk to, and provided us with a sense of understanding about how to better control our dog. We did not feel rushed or pressured at any point, and we definitely felt like she wanted to help. By the end of the 3 hour session, we felt more confident and proud as dog owners, and we look forward to seeing our dog's improvement with this company. I have a very stubborn Husky/Sheppard mix, who believed she was pulling a dog sled team everytime we walked. I tried everything imaginable to train my dog to walk properly on a leash and had completely given up when Ashley came to the rescue. It literally took her 10 minutes to have my dog walking properly on the leash. With a little people training as well Ashley had us in tip top shape. I highly recommend Ashley and Bark Busters services if you are experiencing some challenges with your dog(s). We recently adopted 2 pups (one 7 months, one 4 months) whose history we do not know. Shortly after getting them, the older pup started exhibiting significant signs of anxiety and developed aggression towards anyone "new". She seemed to deem everything and everyone a threat and started attacking anyone or any dog that approached. After some research, I decided to call Ashley as I knew puppy school wasn't going to help with this issue and I hoped a more individualized approach would better meet our needs. I was able to schedule our first session very quickly and after only a few hours, the tools and techniques Ashley has taught us has completely transformed my dog. She is visibly calmer, less anxious, less vigilant and everyone from neighbours to family members cannot believe the change in such a short period of time (they are no longer afraid to come around and visit). It takes work, time and commitment to the training, dogs don't change over night, and it is an ongoing effort on my part to keep working at it with my dog, but honestly I could not have done it without Ashley's support. Bark Busters has allowed me to keep both of my dogs, which, before reaching out to Bark Busters, I had thought that I was eventually going to have to make a decision: which dog to give up and which dog to keep. Ask any dog lover how to make this decision and I'm sure the answer will always be: You don't. You learn how to keep both. My dogs had been fighting so viciously that I had feared for not only my safety, but more importantly theirs. Since reaching out to Bark Busters, Ashley has provided me with the tools on how to remedy this situation. After rescuing my Lab/Shepherd mix a few years ago I had 2 different different trainers try to correct his bad behavior that he learnt from previous owners. Although they help correct the minor issues, the larger ones like pulling on leash, barking, attention seeking were still prominent. After one session with Ashley his behavior has changed positvitely and her leadership training methods truly made an impact on me and how to properly communicate with my dog. Ashley is very nice and truly cares for you and your pet. Since her visit all the issues I had with my dog are finally being resolved and his temperament is much better.

We have a rescue German Shepad Mix, he was about one year old when we got him, we had him for about 6 months, we thought we were doing good in most areas but we had a major concern with him wanting to attack other dogs while we were walking him on leash. He would get really aggressive and scary and he was a very strong puller, after I almost lost him a few times and his behavior kept getting worst we knew we had to act fast. I was scared of what might have happened if I did let go of the leash when another dog was around. I called Ashley and she came to our rescue. Only took 2 sessions and our Whiskey was just not the same dog. She thought us how to behave inside and outside the house and how to change our demeanor all day long in order to regain control. After implementing her strategies and practicing for a few weeks (I practiced daily from 20 min to an hour) we were able to take control again and were no longer scared of what might happen if we crossed paths with another dog. I strongly suggest Ashley as a dog trainer, she is amazing!

Very terrible service from Ashley, she came by 1 time for the meeting and to see how our pup walked. Well on that walk she was very aggressive to our 2 month old puppy yanking his leash in the up position basically choking him with his paws off the ground when he was looking around because he didn’t understand what was happening and dragging him across the sidewalk, she terrified him and not only that she didn’t show up or contact us after that. We had attempted contacting her every week for 5 months before we had enough of being told she’s not in the office and they’ll give her the message to call us. Finally went and spoke with the emergency line and head office for a couple days for a refund, when we had finally threatened to take this to court since we already contacted our lawyer and had given him all the evidence for a case we advised barkbusters Ashley had a week to contact us before we take action. She had then contacted us to give our money back and tried making a deal to give half back and keep the rest and continue her service (what a coincidence right) and when we told her no she tried giving us a lower amount of the payment we were originally charged. After some arguing and providing the receipts we were given she agreed to giving us the money back under 1 condition which was to not give her a bad review because of her rep. Well sorry, not sorry Ashley but that’s not how the world works, you were a terrible service to us and other people need to know what kind of scam you are. There was no reason you weren’t able to contact us at least ONCE in those 5 months of us waiting, trying to figure out what was happening. Your lucky I’m able to even give you 1 star. You don’t even deserve that. I hope you learn and don’t screw more people over. Good luck
