I worked with Dale and it was the most fun. I learned A LOT that I never thought I needed as a driver. I feel better equipped for the skills test. Although I only thought I needed to learn parking and highway experience, Dale sought to teach me beyond that. I learned the rules of the road and how to pass the skills test. The most remarkable part of this was the fun and laughter . I highly recommend this place. Above is my message a few months ago when I was only practicing. Today I practiced with Dale again with the goal of passing my drivers license. At first I was ok but as time approached, I started to panic and literally started to mess up more. But Dale was beyond nice and kind to teach me AGAIN with patience and support. And once again I’m speechless because all the practice lead to me passing my road test on a first try. And it’s really thanks to Dale because I wouldn’t have done it without his knowledge, support, and advices. I am beyond grateful. A side note for everyone who plans to take the road test, please have a lesson with Kens driving because there are things I promise I knew nothing of and if I had gone to pass, my road test the results would have been different because it’s the things we ignore (without even knowing we’re ignoring) that causes road test failure. I had scheduled an appointment and driver was 1 hour late, appointment at DMV office was at 3:30pm and he took me there by 4:30pm. Driver was sleeping and snoring in between. Worst Experience for me. Had I not known driving in the first place, I would have failed the test. After having discussion with Owner and he had confirmed that he will take care of this. I was scheduled to take my road test in Eagan, MN and I enrolled into Ken's driving school(which was recommended to me by my sister). My instructor was Ken and my experience with the school was extremely satisfying. I passed my road test with flying colors. Ken is an extremely knowledgeable instructor who deals with his students with a commendable amount of patience(which is one of the most important attributes I look for in a driving instructor).My lessons were fun and at the same time extremely result oriented which enabled me to pass my road test without any glitches.Since Ken has been an instructor for over two decades now, he knows exactly how to train his students and hone them into becoming careful and defensive drivers on the road. At the same time, he works closely with the DMV's around the area, so he was adept on how to train me from the point of view of what would be expected from me during the road test. The school's rate for a behind the wheel lesson was $90 for two hours which is extremely reasonable,given the conceptual thoroughness to which I was exposed to with regards to driving on the road. Also its much easier to get road test appointments through the school, given the fact that DMV's in MN are scarce and the wait time can sometimes extend for months! All in all, I am extremely happy that I am now a licensed driver and I would definitely recommend Ken's Driving school to all those people struggling to get driver's licenses under the stringent MN road rules :)

Dale was very good at pointing out where i would go wrong and excellent help trying to perfect my imperfections! I felt more and more confident after our practical driving classes, and that was greatly shown after i passed my road test today at eagen! He doesn’t judge or get frustrated at how many times you fail or make a mistake and is very patient, he is open to try new things that work with you in order to learn better. Learning to drive with Dale was a pleasure. He may appear to be a strict instructor at first, but after just a couple of conversations you'll learn that he knows the game, and knows it VERY well! (His checklists, reference points, street maps etc. are just a few examples of how well prepared he is, and how well he holds you up to those standards - like a captain!). Dale is patient, persistent and will help you learn driving WELL. He will work with you to help you pass the driving test! If not at the first attempt (Let's face it- We've all been there jumping the signal, driving into the wrong lane etc.), atleast by the 2nd attempt - Your Drivers License is guaranteed!! Besides driving lessons, Dale is so much fun to chat with (If you understand where he is coming from) while you effortlessly learn to drive in just a couple of lessons. He is prompt, responsive, efficient and respectful! I will remember SMOG and CROP for the rest of my life! I would highly recommend Ken's Driving school!

I recommend Kens Driving School to anyone looking for a driving lessons to pass the road test. I contacted the school for last-minute driving lessons to refresh my driving skills and learn parking. I took lessons from Dale and he was systematic with the instructions and the training. He was very clear about the possible errors to watch out for during the driving test and made sure that I was able to practice everything in just 2 lessons! He cares about the students and was more than happy to answer my questions. Their appointments fill up very fast, so it is not easy to book a lesson.

On July 13th I was in contact with Carrie to set up some lessons for my child. After some back and forth, I waited most of the day on Friday for her to give me an appointment time. Never got back to me. Heard nothing over the weekend, which is understandable. I reached out Monday morning inquiring about an appointment time and she responded "Good morning. I have an outside appointment this morning and will be back in the office this afternoon. I will get back with you then. ok?" It is now August 6th and she never responded. Obviously after all this time, I've found another company that actually wants my money.

Hello everyone! Today is the best day ever! I took my road test at Eagan today with Ken’s driving school and finally past. You see I am 28 years old and I have never driven before so it is expected that I will fail a lot. But what I love about Ken’s is like it feels like family, they treat you very well unlike the past other driving school I went before, I get yelled a lot. My instructor Sir Dale is so awesome and he’s very funny, the whole lessons I have with him was never boring and when you make mistakes, they correct you in a very positive way and cheer you up. After two sessions of three and half hours in total, I passed the test! Dale's tips and tricks are especially helpful if you have trouble with parallel and 90 degree parking. Just took my road test in Arden Hills and cleared it. This was my 5 th attempt and first time at Arden Hills test Center. I took classes with many driving schools but couldn't able to pass. My experience is worst with this driving school. I will not recommend this to anyone. I took an appointment one month back for my wife. I called to the number just before one day to confirm it whether trainer will come or not. They confirmed at that time. But next day during scheduled time we waited for more than one hour. But unfortunately no one came. I called and texted several times to get one update. It is really not desirable when you are waiting for your class keeping other things aside but no one is there from school. I did not get response at that day. Next day someone called and told me they had the wrong phone number. I do not know how can they have wrong phone number when I already provided both of our numbers and how they got the right phone number this time. I will not recommend this school to anyone because it is really unprofessional.

Excellent! undoubtedly the best in twin cities area. Ken's do offer free pick up and drop in south metro area which is quite convenient. Also very affordable, doesn't burn our pockets. very flexible with the schedules. I took an hour of class and went for the exam and cleared in first attempt. The mere thought of taking a driving test normally leads to loads of sleepless nights and I am not the exception. As an adult driver I had many years of driving experience, just not in America. I decided that taking some lessons would be the best route to follow to make sure I knew what would be expected from me on the day of the test. I started phoning the driving schools closest to where I live, only to find out that none of them were taking adult drivers at this time; due to Covid19; they were all concentrating their training efforts on student drivers. I decided to broaden my search and saw an advertisement for Kens Driving School. I gave them a call and hoped for a miracle. Best decision I made. They called me back and listened to my very long story and although they too were very busy promised to find a spot for me. Dale drove out all the way to Shakopee, went through the whole process step-by-step of what I could expect on the day of the test. He had loads of helpful tips and answered all of my questions patiently. He pointed out what I was doing well, as well as what I needed to pay attention too. I'm happy and relieved to say that I passed today, on my first try in the USA and I give all the credit to Dale for intructing me so well and calming my nerves. First class service all the way. Dale is the best instructor I could have ever come across. I am 27 years old and have always been nervous when it comes to driving. However, Dale calmed those nerves immediately! He’s super easy to work with and tailors your lessons for what exactly you need. He won’t sugar coat it if you need to work on things, but he pin points what exactly you need to work on and will let you know all of your strengths for confidence! The information I recieved about showing awareness, changing lanes, and specific advice about the roads at my testing area paid off completely. I just passed my road test weeks ago. I have my driver's license in China and practice 4 hours before my road test. Based on my experience, Ken is really a good coach. He is humorous, patient and really helpful! He tells funny stories to let you relax and notices you when you forget some necessary steps. He also teach you the simple ways to do the parallel parking and 90-degree parking and they work really well! He will let you feel pleasant while taking the lesson. Strongly recommend!

Worse experience ever!!! Ken is unorganized and unprofessional. He scheduled me wrong TWO times for days I did not confirm. Not only did he waste my time from work to take a call from his instructor THAT WAS TEXTING ME INFRONT OF MY HOUSE WAITING FOR 15 MINS -- I showed Ken screenshots of our convos that clearly those were not the dates I agreed on, and still I never recieved an apology. I just texted Ken today asking next avaliable dates and he told me I should find another school!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I wonder what his response back will be to my review. Prepare for the lies and fake sympathetic play. Anyone who wants to see our convos can message me for proof. Please take blame when it's your fault and don't be bitter when you are getting advice to better your company! Aside from the negative, i am going to say I did have a good experience with my first and only lesson from Gordy. He was awesome. Great sport and knew how to calm my nerves. Gordy was also kind enough to give me an extra hour lesson free! Don't be discouraged to try out kens driving, just ask Gordy to be your instructor.!!! Yay.

I just had my road test today and didn't pass it because I did not take all the lessons with him unfortunately. I practiced with him only for 1 hour before the test. HOWEVER, He is a great person and is VERY ETHICAL and professional. He was punctual and was supportive. I am planning on getting enrolled in a few other classes with him to get through the test. Before Ken’s driving school, I had the misfortune of getting trained by a different driving instructor (different driving school in Minneapolis) who not only dented my confidence but also inhibited my natural driving/steering style. (‘Your hand should not touch the lower part of steering wheel !’ and ‘There! You just failed!’ and so on) Not so with Gordon. Not only was Gordon quick to detect and further develop my driving abilities, he structured the lessons in a manner which suited my natural driving abilities. How? I have never driven in America and most of my experience has been on driving in foreign countries on the other side of the road. Gordon recognized and worked with this (vis-à-vis ‘against this’) and provided foundational insights to help me align to right side of the road. In fact, he went a step further and allowed me to drive on the freeway in the second hour of our lesson, itself. This was a great morale booster. While it took multiple tries to get my parking correct, he never had a discouraging word. He was extremely patient. At the day of the test, while we worked on the parking, I had all but given up. In fact I was planning to set follow on lessons (since I was surely going to fail this one!) but Gordon insisted that I was going to pass the test. Thanks to Gordon (and Mr. Ken) I undertook the test and passed it on my first try! They say that there is a difference between an instructor and an educator. Instructor merely teaches from prescribed text, but an educator encourages and helps you gain an insight into the field of study. Gordon is and always will be an educator. Thank you , Mr. Gordon ! Thank you, Mr. Ken for accommodating me in your BTW training schedule.
