Not sure if this a regular thing but this registry charges you a $3.00 credit card fee. When I asked they told me it was due to them using a third party for credit card services. I thought this was bogus and called visa to confirm. Turns out this is a violation of the merchant agreement. I was told I could dispute the charges which I did. So we'll see how that turns out. Just a heads up to anyone wanting to earn reward points with their visa or mastercard DO NOT come here. Otherwise everything else was fine, though if I wasn't on my lunch break I would've walked out and gone to another registry office.

The wonderful girls are very kind a sweet as long as you respect them. Anyone in a job like they are in are dealing with angry drivers and thay take a huge brunt of that. I have witnessed myself personally a number of times.Front line workers for the government are always the scapegoat. Rock on girls.. you are the BEST!!!

Very poor service. Dont have enough information. I wanted to change my BC license to Alberta one. I am driving since 2012 and i surrendered by Indian license to ICBC and i have been driving in BC class 5 full license for about an year. I offered to provide my previous country's driving abstract which other provinces do accept and as far as i know alberta do as well but the lady denied of any information on that. Leaving the registry i didnt have any specific answer to do i need to bring the abstract or what .

Couldn't give less than 1 star!! Since it's opening, I've been in to Red Deer Registries several times and always had exceptional experiences. However, the last two visits have been terrible, unfortunately...and with the same employee. This last time, and I do mean LAST TIME, was it for me. I had just purchased my pickup from the Calgary oil company that I've worked for the last 5 years. The entire purchase consisted of me wiring the money to Calgary and, once completed, I was emailed a Bill of Sale. I signed it electronically and they emailed back to the fully executed copy back to me. Seemed simple enough, so I went into Red Deer Registries, with insurance in hand, to register the vehicle. The lady that helped me smirked and said "What's this...I need an original Bill of Sale". I explained that the whole transaction was done electronically so that's what both parties had for copies. She laughed and said "Well, why didn't you get the original when you picked the truck up?" I've been driving this truck for 5 years and there was no trip to Calgary to "pick it up". She told me that I would have to have them mail me a copy of the original. To which I explained that all they have to send me, from their end, would be the same copy from the same email PDF that I was holding. She stood her ground and so I left...for AMA. AMA was awesome, no hassle, no attitude while I registered my pickup and bought a new plate. Red Deer Registries not only lost that $100 but all future business from me and I'll be sure to pass on the experience to everybody I know.

It is with regret that I am writing this negative review about a company that I have dealt with for many years. I will preface it by saying that I have no issues with any of the front end staff. They have always been courteous. It is unfortunate that the owner(s) would not take ownership of an error that occurred when a paid for document was not given to me in June of this year. When it was realized this month that this document was required by the CRA, a second fee had to be paid in order to receive the document. The manager delivered the message from the owner(s) that there would be no refund, and that their staff did not make an error. It is unfortunate that a long term customer would not be believed. At this point I do not want the money refunded. However, if management/owner(s) finally realize the error of their ways, I am asking that the money that should have been refunded, be given to a charity. Needless to say, I will not be doing business with this firm again and I strongly encourage anyone who reads this, to steer clear of Red Deer Registries. One star - because I cannot give it a zero.

Over my years of driving, purchasing, registering vehicles, and dealing with various Department of Motor Vehicles offices, I have grown accustomed to thinking that most DMVs were a necessary evil but like going to the dentist. Something you have to do once in a while but not something you want to do. This office makes me want to buy another vehicle just to go and deal with the friendly staff. I had been "warned" that the people at this office were friendly and I had a wait and see attitude. Wow was I surprised. Coming from out of province, I didn't know what to expect. Thank you Red Deer Registeries for your excellent, cheerful, helpful, wonderful, and COURTEOUS service. Keep it up. It is appreciated.

Son went in for his driver's exam with "Rick" which he did not pass. The reason was explained that "Rick" "FELT he was speeding", "been doing this a long time and I don't need to look to tell". My son, however did look and was driving at posted limit. I was under the impression that Cash Grabs like this were to disappear when it was again regulated by the government. I was told not to go to this location, I chose poorly. Don't make the same mistake
