For the in-class lessons, Qazi was a great teacher. Super down-to-earth and upfront about the main challenges new drivers deal with, and what we will truly be tested on for our driving test. Even with boring material he did a really good job trying to make classes enjoyable. 5/5 For the actual driving classes, I was first put with Sam. Unfortunately, Sam was not a good instructor. I did six hours of lessons with him, and the only things I learned how to do was a three point turn, a roadside stop, and to look both ways when driving through an intersection. He constantly lost his patience with me when I made small mistakes, and barely spoke/explained things to me when we were driving around, even though I was constantly upfront with him about my lack of driving experience. Because I barely learnt anything, I'd rate him 1/5. Also, I'd like to point out that my sister and some other students (who drove with Sam) complained to me of the same issues when learning with Sam. After asking for a new instructor, I was placed with Tanya, who was the absolute best instructor. She taught me so much in just four hours. She's very relaxed and down-to-earth, and will really pick up on stuff that you're not doing. She rarely loses her patience, and if she does it's always for a good reason. She explains everything really well, and is truly amazing at making you feel comfortable in the car. If you need a good instructor, ask for Tanya. 5/5 P.S Honorable mention to woman working the phone at AllStar (I'm sorry I can't remember your name). Thanks for being so understanding and helpful when I needed a new driver.

She's a really calm instructor, and as long as you have a brain, she gives you really cool tricks that make parking and everything super easy. If you're a bad driver no tips or tricks will help you, so dont try to blame it on the instructor. If you go to all star, do yourself a favour and get Tanya.

At first I had zubair as my driving instructor he taught me everything I still use to today he was amazing and really fun to drive with, until the sad day of him leaving. Eventually I got another driving instructor who constantly cancelled on me, barely made me feel comfortable and wasn't even interested in my driving at all his name was Ryan, at this point I thought I would be done with all star till I called and made a complaint the customer service rep was super nice and frustrated at Ryan as well. Two days later they gave me sal who was amazing, fun, and super generous. He was patient with me and made me laugh when I was nervous, for my g1 exit test I told him sal I'm very nervous and he laughed at me and said why are you nervous your an amazing driver and you will pass no doubt about it, he was right I did pass first try. I would like to say thank you to all star and sal for making my driving expierance an amazing one. Sal you were awesome and will be missed hope to see you on the road soon.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE! Where do I even begin? The class "theory" lessons provide a big amount of help in solidifying the info and rules you should know by heart when driving, from proper procedures in certain maneuvers, to various skills regarding safety and your vehicle, things which you may have skimmed over when prepping for your G1 or skipped entirely. Then comes the actual in-car lessons. This is where the bulk of the learning occurs, as you actually get hands-on experience with driving with proper instructions to ensure you're driving safely and responsibly. My instructor, Gabriel, was great in his method of teaching, and a wonderful person. He constantly adjusts the pace of learning to ensure you feel comfortable and capable of handling it, so that, while you're still learning a fair bit, stepping little by little out of your comfort zone, you feel safe doing so, and thus reap the full benefits of the lessons. A great concern for me coming into this was thinking I may feel rushed, but Gabriel ensures that you're fully capable of performing a maneuver safely and correctly before you move on to the next. With that very comfortable pacing, I was able to learn almost everything I needed to by like the 7th hour of in-car instruction, and the last 3 hours were used to solidify everything I've learned to ensure I'm ready for my G2 test, and for when I drive on my own afterwards. We've even gotten to going over some things I'll need to know for the G test, and I got some light experience with going on the highway (I'm not exaggerating when I say the pacing is perfect to ensure you know almost everything). One tip I recommend: Practice, practice, practice... as much as possible outside the lessons (with your parents maybe), drive around and try some of the techniques you've learned so far. You'll still learn everything without that extra practice, sure, but it will help greatly with you calibrating to the vehicle you're likely to use when you get your G2, but even if you are using the instructor's vehicle for the test (which I wasn't, so it was even more important for me), it still helps greatly in further solidifying your driving skills. If I had a chance to go back in time (with the hindsight I have now), I would still pick this school, and if I could pick any car instructor, I'd definitely choose Gabriel, every time! - Bavely

classes and in-car are good to do... a little frustrating when classes are scheduled you show up and there is a note on the door that it has been cancelled or you are told a class is on a certain day you show up and its an ESL course! Would be nice if they'd give you a call to advise!

I give three stars because Tanya and Rebecca were great. I had a bad in-class experience that the managers didnt address at first, but once I got in touch with a girl named Rebecca it was taken care of immediately. I completed my ten in car lessons with Ifty. He was a terrible teacher. He was so condescending and rude. He spoke down to me constantly and everything was sarcastic. He made me so anxious, I felt sick before my lessons with him because he was so rude. I should have not completed my lessons with him and asked to switch earlier. I got an additional lesson with Tanya as she has great reviews and she taught me more in one lesson than Ifty did in ten. She used her words, she explained things thoroughly and she was very calm and kind. Just an FYI, Ifty never once showed me to use the hazard lights. IF I didn't get a lesson with Tanya I would have no chance at passing my G2.

They would pick up me late 80% of the time, which created a whole delay in the class that I was supposed to participate. My instructor was Zahra and she was an amazing teacher! Thanks to her I was able to pass my G2 test first try with flying colours! She taught me everything I needed to know and was very patient, kind, and compassionate. I highly recommend this driving school and Zahra :)

My sister had gone here for her in class and road class last year. Right now she was in the process of getting a new car and we had to get her driver's license history. And to find out that her drivers training certificate is still not send to service ontario, we spent all that money and yet we still don't have the documentation to show that she completed the drivers training. Her road instructor gave a very tough time with confirming the classes. He often wouldn't show up on the agreed time and kept changing the time which is very unprofessional. Now because of this incident we have to wait even longer for a quote on her car insurance. This better be fixed.

Your driver instructor did a u turn on Bloomington Rd and Yonge St last night and then turn into the subdivision east of Yonge. Great advertisement for your company. No wonder so many bad drivers on the road. Maybe that person should read the handbook again!!!

I am giving this school 2 stars only because I had a positive experience with the classes. They were very easy and fun to attend but the road lessons were absolutely terrible! Driving did not come very easy or naturally to me when I first started and Sal (my instructor) would just sit on his phone and completely ignore me during all of my lessons. I told him that I didn't feel ready to do my road test but he said I was because it seemed like he just wanted to get rid of me. After I failed my road test for the second time he told me that I'm his worst student so I'm not sure why he said I was ready if that's the way he felt. After that, I switched driving schools and my new instructor payed attention, showed me all the little things that the examiners look for during the road test, and gave me the confidence I needed. I finally passed my G2 and with the same instructor I then passed my G on my first try. I have now been driving for 3 years with a clean record and make frequent trips from London to the GTA. Even if I was the worst driver he had ever seen, his job was to teach me and make sure that I was ready. I'm not sure how the other instructors are but I heard the same kind of thing from my friends/co-workers about them when I was in high school. If you want someone who will actually look out for you and teach you how to drive then I do not recommend taking lessons at this school unless your parents are willing to drive around with you and teach you on the side.
