If you are looking for anything required by the government for anything in life. You need to go through this empty place. I am not sure if it is a lack of competency due to poor training, or if just everyone you talk to just doesn't care. But who ever hires the employees at any of these locations needs to look elsewhere. Update your phone directory considering you go to or call ACCESS NS for more that just a drivers license.

Like dealing with the Sackville location, never had a problem up till today. My husband went in to get our plate for our four-wheeler, and the women he dealt with was extremely rude to him told him he had no right being there today, he's suppose to stay home and then he over heard the same women tell someone on the website that they were closed, just so they didn't have to do their job! That's what they are there for, if she doesn't want to be there, then she should just go the hell home no reason to be rude to customers and telling them they have no right to be there!!

The covid process is still in place as far as waiting outside and screening, however there was virtually no wait time. The building appeared clean, there is plenty of seating, and there were enough screens displaying ticket queues that we could see no matter which seat we took. We applied for our Marriage License and were very happy with the efficiency of our clerk, Jodi. She has many awards on her wall and must have truly earned them. During our wait, we could hear friendly banter and laughter amoung other clients at their counters with other clerks. I would have expected today to be quiet and maybe take a few hours. Instead we left quickly, appreciating the interaction as well.

Busy location, but might be easier than the one in Halifax. You need to plan for a total time of 35 min to finish your job here. You also need to be aware that different departments has different working hours, for example, even if the office is open until 7PM , the driving testing is always closing at 4:30PM everyday. Note that even if the office close at 4PM or 7PM the actual service time stop 20 or 25 min before that, so you wouldn't be able to get a ticket to complete your task.

My plate broke, and there are no services available at this location. Our day has been ruined because we have to go into Halifax. I paid for plate service, $179 for my vehicle and its terrible service.

We are always amazed at the competence of the staff and their willingness to accommodate their clients. during my visit, someone's number got called and the client was "unavailable." Once the client realized this he went to see if the staff could still help him. The Clerk in question, realizing that all our time is valuable, put him to the next wicket and after that the line continued! we were all served speedily through and the number never slowed down because of it. Then, we went to the wicket and the clerk helped so quickly I had to do a double check! Just Amazing!

The service here is always friendly. The set up is smooth and logical. It look me about 15 minutes to renew my license from walk in to walk out, with my new card. Fantastic! (family have had similar experiences)

Quite possibly the most rude group of individuals I have ever spoken to. They were very rude and discriminatory when I told them I wasn't a Canadian citizen and I am so shocked that in a country considered progressive, that they employ individuals like this. I hope they have my correspondence recorded because it is quite shocking. Blatant disrespect and discrimination.

You know what, some government services get a really bad reputation for no reason sometimes. Since moving to Nova Scotia, we have been frequent customers of this location, and the service has always been quick, efficient, and helpful. Staff are kind and patient, and seem to be well-versed in dealing with terrible cranky people, as we have witnessed a few times. During their busy times throughout COVID, they had excellent strategies in place to keep people safe and their system worked like a well-oiled machine. Well done to this team!

Kid wants to drive, needs to comply with rules about having a license. So off we go. Covid rules in place it was a quick efficient visit. Much the same as dealing with most access NS sights. Not much else you can say about a Goverment building.

Not a happy camper, I drove 160 kilometers this morning to take my 17 year old grandson for the beginner test, because his mother is unavailable during weekdays. Although she obtained and signed the consent forms apparently that's not good enough, a visual is required to verify her signature, this is BS.

Sometimes there's a wait especially 3-5 ish and at the end of every month, depending upon your reason for visit. The staff are super friendly & kind always willing to provide advice where necessary. Even quickly looking up a phone # of someone you purchase a vehicle from if your receipt or form is missing pertinent information! :) That saves a 2nd trip & wait in lineup. I really appreciate the wealth of experience and expertise of the older lady in the Joint Stocks area who also provides & corrects the exams for drivers licenses. She even kindly educates people on areas of the test that they got incorrect, explaining its importance while driving on the road in their future! My daughter was so impressed with that and listened very intently to her advice. :) She will be missed when she retires!

I wish I got the name of the lady that helped me tonight, she was awesome and I will try to update this review if I find her name. COVID has everyone a little crazy and mad but the Lower Sackville AccessNS was awesome. There was no wait, unbelievable, it was fairly quick to register and pay my taxes for a privately purchased vehicle, my fault for not having everything filled out properly, and I could not have asked for a better experience to be honest. If I was writing this review, pre-COVID, I am sure it would be totally different but at this time..AMAZING. Great job from the lady in window 4 (I think) =)

Booking appointment is definitely the way to go. Arrived at 10.50am checked in via email and system responds with a ticket # to use inside. There was a line up outside but because of my appointment at 11 I was permitted to go right in and didn't even sit down as they were calling my ticket #. Should have a sign for anyone with appointment proceed inside immediately. Was in and out for license and permit in 15 min wonderful service in sackville.

Nice thing about the online line thing is I can verify they serve about 8 customers per hour. When I was able to finally walk in, I saw 7 desks available, so an average of 1.14 customers per kiosk per hour. Just privatize it already!
