It is the best driving school in the area. The team is professional starting from office to yard. Instructor s Mr. Dhass, Mr.chandran,Mr.Thiva and Mrs .Thiru are excellent in their job. You will not only practice for driving but they will train you what is actual trucking . They taught cargo securement, log book, hours of service, everything in a really professional manner. Quick to notice your mistakes giving right solution to polish your skill is part of training . I got my AZ in first attempt . Especially some guys lack in pre trip and back up maneuvers , no worries you will get ample time space and practice . I am really thankful to all of them for such a great experience and training. Read on my story and recommendations inside........ I passed my AZ road test in the first attempt !! and the 100 % credit goes to Friendly driving school, for they set me up for success. As a Hospitality and management professional, I was looking for a mid-life career change, unsure of where to begin and how to start. I met Ms.Thiru at their office, who is pleasant, helpful and ready to answer all your questions.she has all the knowledge and insights that helped me with the initial decision making. Once registered, I was recommended the 8-week program ( which is a Marathon of a training Program ) consisting of in-class study, videos, online tests, paper tests and quizzes. Ms.Thiru, here makes sure that you are on track with the progress and helps you through the entire process step-by-step. Their yard training is more like disciplined military training, where they slowly build your skills, intuition, judgement and confidence by putting you through their daily routines of vehicle safety inspections, basic manoeuvres, backing the tractor/trailer and driving the vehicle through the complex road conditions of Scarborough and Markham. There were times in the beginning when I didn't get things right, I that I doubted if I will ever learn..... But in times like these, I drew inspiration from fellow trainees who had mastered the art and were ready to go for their tests, and how they told me to stay put ,focus and follow the regime and ' How in the end, I will get it right. By the 4th and 5th week, I had enough confidence and skills to do the manoeuvres and drive the road but still needed to master the skills. I can't forget the smiling and confident faces of my coaches and mentors Mr.Das, Mr Chandran and Mr Diva - together they make a hell lot of team..... driven by knowledge and passion for the Trucking Industry. Five stars and a small column is not enough to elucidate the gratitude and appreciation I have for Friendly Truck Driving School. This is a school that checked all the right boxes to make me into a professional truck driver.  One on One training always (no grouping during training except for pre-trip inspection).  Extra classes and special attention (in case you believe you are a slow student).  Structured classroom, inspection, back-up and on road time.  Training to back up into tight spaces and offset parking.  Perfect scheduling and timely training.  On-Road training with Automatic and Manual transmission (10 gear and 13 gear).  The classroom is very well maintained and provides for the perfect atmosphere to study.  Professionalism at its best.  Instills confidence in oneself that ‘You Can Do It’.  Identifies your comfort zone and moulds you accordingly.  Patient and Understanding to the extent that you will learn no matter what.  Fees structure is maintained well within the budget of the student and not like community colleges.  Exceptional support in training, pre-road test and post training, to provide for a full-scale support system. I am considerably new to this country and had a very limited knowledge about truck driving schools. The only options I had considered were google reviews and making sure that training was always one on one. Friendly Truck Driving School and its instructors surpassed every expectation and provided for THE BEST TRUCK DRIVING AND TRAINING in Canada. Some of the perks of Friendly Truck Driving school are 1) Free Parking 2) Vehicle Availability 3) Ample Yard Space 4) All trucks are Sleeper cabs and not Day cabs 5) Practice with both 48 ft and 53 ft trailers. i always love to be short and sweet. Friendly trucking school has got this special way of teaching new-comers in a way in which they understand properly. When i studied at the university i always had to come home and study again in order to understand, but when i went to the air-brake class instructed by Mr. Thas i didn't have to go home and study that again and i got a 100 percent mark without even having to review again. Mr.Diva who was my driving instructor was very good in teaching me the special techniques in driving a truck. He was very patient and friendly all the time. With their immense teaching i was able to get my AZ license in 3 weeks. One of the best schools to go and get the AZ license..

One of the best school in Ontario. The staff is very helpful and really tries to help you in any way possible. Mr Dhas is very knowledgeable and great at teaching, he can be angry sometimes but that is required for our improvements. Mr Chandran is very helpful and kind , i used to be there for hours he was always there to help. The seat time is also very much if you compare with any school . There are many truck driving schools in the GTA but after doing my research diligently I have landed at the Friendly Truck Driving School in Scarborough to get my AZ driving license. It was a great experience and an awesome journey going through the MELT program and in the end getting my license. Of course, you can find different kind of things that could differentiate this school over other schools but what I found to be a building block of this school is their focus on the student success and their commitment to professionalism. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the people that helped me and that I was involved with starting with Thiru which is a great communicator and she kept my schedule in class and in the yard run smoothly, Rakulan, Dhiva and Dhas for great training and patience aiding me become skillful in parking, driving and pre-inspection, all three requirements for successfully passing the exam. I chose Friendly upon exploring four truck driving schools in GTA, including a public college, and haven’t felt the slightest disappointment. The instructors tried to customize my training, allotting practice time based on my weaknesses and progress. As a result, I felt confident on my 90-degree backing well before the road test, which I passed at the first attempt last week. The school emphasizes less on strict step-by-step approaches (e.g., where/when to turn wheel how much) and more on an every-situation-is-unique principle, which better prepares trainees for all occasions. Working with instructors Thiva, Rakulan and Dhas were all pleasant and memorable. The office administrator Thiru is knowledgeable, professional and accommodating to my multiple requests of workday off scheduling. Highly recommend Friendly to everyone.

I passed my AZ drive test yesterday in the very first attempt with such an ease and comfort. Hearty thanks to Friendly Truck Driving School and the entire team. The instructors; Dhas, Chandran and Thiva are real masters behind the wheel. No matter who you are, within the first 15 minutes they will make you feel comfortable behind the giant truck’s wheel. Also, they are very patient and will try to accommodate your needs at beat of their ability. Their remarkable encouragement and support is invaluable. Thiru and Usha in the office was also very supportive through out the MELT course. Giving proper guidance and timely response with flexible schedules. The whole team was very supportive and gave the courage to attend the drive test with confidence and pass easily in the first attempt. My overall experience with Friendly Truck Driving School: 1. Ample training on road , back up and inspection. They will let you do until you learn. 2. Individual( 1-on-1) on road training, back up training and Inspection training. 3. Instructors answered and explained all the queries without hesitation and doesn’t get annoyed even if we ask multiple times. 4. I got trained on backing up into tight space and wide space. 5. I received on-road training on Manual and Automatic transmission vehicles until I feel I am comfortable. 6. Never had to wait for vehicles they have plenty available. 7. All the hard work is turn out to be worth every cent. 1 time right the way pass the test and got my AZ License. The school is so good. Put everything to help the students pass the exam. never see any school and teacher will work at own weekends to help the learner go all the way to kingston test center to know the local highway with test router. man that is 3 hours driver from toronto. Just passed the C license road test ( Jan 17th 2019 )and believe me it's not hard as long as you get the right training.
