Sohan is a very professional and experienced driving instructor. He is very soft spoken and never let's you feel nervous even if you are getting behind the wheel for the first time.Fee structure is also very reasonable as compared to other driving school in Nanaimo. Knows all the routes and tricks which will give you an extra edge to clear the driving test.

Ive been through a couple driving schools in my time and mr sohan was the most patient, considerate, compassionate and motivational instructor i have ever had and he helped me to achieve my goal of getting my N. Any new or getting back into driving again should go to this driving school. He cares alot.

Sohan taught me everything I needed to know in order to successfully pass my N test the first go. Incredibly patient and great with nervous drivers, very reassuring! *update* I got to book my class 5 road test, all of a sudden the nerves kicked back in! Sohan is amazing at a short review before the road test and boosts every driver with the confidence they need to succeed. I passed in one go again!

I had an amazing experience learning in this school. Honestly, this not a school where the instructor just does his job and not care if you fail or pass. Instead, u get a personalised service , the instructor is a very nice and patient guy. If you are not able to pass, this is where you should go.Highly recommend. I came all the way from surrey to give my test for the fourth time and I was skeptical driving there but with the help of Nanaimo driving school , I passed with flying colors.

Sohan helped me prep for my roadtest for a handful of days leanings up to it, and looking back, I'm not sure I could have even come close passing as well as I did without his help. He is one of the most calming and reassuring instructors I have ever had the pleasure of learning from, and the confidence and ability I was able to build just through sessions with him was staggering. I cannot recommend his teaching enough. What a wonderful person

I'd give Sohan 10 stars if possible. I booked my test last minute, and called many driving schools to book a car for testing. He managed to change his schedule to match mine, and have me 45 minutes pre-test training. I got very good tips. Sohan is pleasant, patient and very logical in explaining his points. I was pretty nervous, but he gave many positive feedback along with constructive ones, which eased my worry. And, I PASSED. Thanks to Sohan.

I cleared my driving test in the first attempt. I am glad and relieved about it. I wanted to get trained by Tesse and reached out to her. I was contacted by Sohan instead. Sohan assured me that he will not only train me to clear the road test but also train me to be a responsible driver for life and also how to enjoy driving. I liked that line and consented to be trained by Sohan. His Pros:- Sohan is repetitive in his teaching skills. He tends to repeat the instructions on a daily basis. I think he does that so that the instructions get embedded in your mind forever. He is a very skillful and knowledgeable instructor. His driving techniques are of top caliber. No doubt there. Man has been doing this for close to two decades and knows the best practices while driving. He will say things like "Drive like you are flowing on the road or figure skating on the road, every turn and maneuver should be smooth, elegant and graceful. Don't drive like you are flying on the road at high speed. Flow on the road, not fly on the road." He will get you to practice along the same routes where the road test instructor would ask you to drive. You will be fine as long as you follow his instructions and meet his expectations. His Cons :- Don't let him get too comfortable with you. If you do, he will dictate your life if he can. Watch out for his "tough love" speech. He will deliver this speech if you fail to meet his expectations or if he is convinced you might not clear the road test. I found this to be annoying but I did not complain as my objective was to clear the road test, so I only focused on my driving and not his personal remarks. He will say things like "What I am saying to you might be harsh, but I am doing this for your good and betterment. I don't win or lose money if you clear or fail the road test." I for one, expect driving instructors to mention the do's and dont's of driving, teach the best practices of driving and leave it at that. All new drivers are prone to making mistakes while driving and that should not give any driving instructor the right to pass lectures in the name of tough love. Sohan tends to do that if you let him. Apart from that he is a skillful instructor. Overall, I will still recommend this driving school.
