After having a very bad experience with a local driving instructor two years back, I left hope of ever getting a DL in Canada. The first instructor I had didn't tell me anything about road rules and all and abandoned me during my road test. Ofcourse, I failed miserably and lost all confidence. This year early on, I wanted to try back again and considered taking a chance with Imran Malik after finding his ad on Kijiji. I was pleasantly surprised by his attitude and behavior. The first class I took with him was amazing - he made me drive around and while on my way back he summarized and told me my mistakes and highlghted the areas I needed to improve. The next few lessons were very good, he is helpful, teaches you the right things that you need to learn and inspires confidence - this is the most important thing when you take your test and start driving on your own. He makes the entire experience very conducive to learning and you start learning fast. I took up the test last week and I cleared it thanks to his guidance and mentoring. His last minute tips, way to behave with the isntructor and driving lessons are a blessing for all new learners and drivers. Thank you Imran for all the help and your patience during the lessons. I would highly recommend if you are looking to spend money wisely and once on learning to drive.

I am happy to say that I cleared my G2 and Mr. Imraan Mallik was my driving instructor. He is good at giving critical suggestions to improve your driving and at the same time has the right blend of friendliness. Being knowledgeable about what the driving examiners are looking for, he is also thorough with Drive Test routes and trains you accordingly. He took me early to the Drive Test routes which helped me get a good feel of the same. He also helps you get into the right state of mind to pass the test which is quite critical to one's performance. Seems Sketchy. I never received any follow up via email. So I decided to visit the “office”. The address listed on google maps is for a condo. No one near the condo (including the condo security on duty)had any idea what I was talking about when I asked them where “Drive Sense driving school” is. When I called the number, I was told the address on google maps is not the right address, but the person on the phone did not share the right address (if there even is one) when I explicitly asked for it. If this place is real but is only operating remotely, mentioning that to a potential customer is better than sounding sketchy and avoiding the question. I was quoted a different price on the phone from what the website says. Lastly, there are very few reviews(compared to other driving schools), and many are worded the exact same way. All of these are major red flags, so I’d say it’s safer to avoid this place entirely.

I got trained with Malik, who took me from being an unsafe driver to G2 license holder. He really put the sense of driving in me, let me go easy when required, and pushing hard when required as well. He did show a lot of patience and never gave up on me. Lessons were intense, from driving at different speeds; neighborhood 40, to main streets 70; practicing in the parking lot, changing lanes, taking turns....he taught it all. Lessons ended with feedback. Before the test, he pushed harder with double lessons and refresher on the day of test. He always accommodated to my schedule as well, having a full day-time job, I could spare evenings and weekends, great coordination there. Highly recommended !!

I had a pretty bad experience with a previous driving school/instructor, and I found Malik by accident through Kijiji. My previous instructor was never able to instill confidence in me, and always made me feel scared of driving. So, when I had my first lesson with Malik, he quickly noted that confidence issue. In just a few lessons, I became very comfortable on roads and especially, intersections. Malik did not step on the brakes every second like my previous instructor did. He was very patient and fun to talk to. He lets me mistakes and corrects them afterwards. He gives instructions the same way an examiner would. He took me on many different roads in Mississauga, exposed me to different traffic situations, and at one point, everything "clicked" and I started hesitating less. Even my friend who occasionally lets me drive around with him noticed the huge difference. Although I did not use Malik's car for the G2 road test because I had to return to university, that confidence that he gave me really helped me pass the test on the first attempt.

I passed my G2 from the first attempt thanks to my superb instructor Malik. He is very skillful at assessing the student's abilities & tailoring the lesson accordingly. He knows exactly what examiners are looking for so he continuously points out do's and dont's. He sure knows how to increase one's confidence by giving instructions to the point without unnecessary confusions, so I was able to handle it well when my parallel parking was obstructed by a block of snow. Unlike other instructors, he's not after the money so he only gives lessons as needed & takes to the test only when truly ready to pass. I definitely recommend him to everyone.

I just cleared my full G road test (G2 Exit) in one shot - Malik's training skills are very effective in adapting and learning the Canada way of driving very easily. In just 2 or 3 classes, I started feeling confident and prepared for the Road Test.Since I moved over to Canada recently with my DL extract, I was eligible to directly appear for full G exam. This was not easy because you are bypassing almost 2 years of Canada driving practice that is deemed mandatory to be fit for taking the Full G road exam. Thanks to Malik's exceptional coaching skills - I got trained in just 1 week and was ready for the Full G road test. Amazing instructor! Tells you every minor thing you’re doing wrong to better prepare you for your test ! It’s very helpful if you don’t drive much, or are even an experienced driver looking to break those bad habits! His rates are fair and he is very helpful, not to mention, he is very knowledgeable of the routes the drive test instructors take, and what they look for in/G2/G drivers.. I don’t drive right now, and after lessons with him, I was able to pass my G on the first try! I would recommend him to anyone looking to pass their G or G2!

If you're reading this and thinking if you should trust Malik, believe me YOU SHOULD! I had a bad experience twice with 2 of my previous instructors, only looking to make money whereas Malik believes more on building relationships. He will not be your friend when it comes to teaching because he should not, he will be an instructor because his job requires him to be.
