Great course, friendly staff but not liking the unafraid sickly fox's while teeing off.
My cousin just got married here outside. Absolutely stunning!
Excellent course but the airplane noise is constant and often defeaning.
Beautiful views. And a nice track to play
Love the layout.
Great place
Usually in good condition, challenging course
This place like ok amazing great place for a wedding. But when I worked her for Citron (company were I would have to remove ladies tampons from the washrooms and I found the people that call o k d there were so rude about it. D iv s me nuts bet they think they are above us mean while I make 30 an hour and more than ten her n a year. I only worked for Citron for 3 months but man what a punch of nobs.
Well organized for covid and the course is in good shape.
Great location
Had fun at a stag n doe there
Beautiful course, great staff and management
Favourite course to play in London
Greens were disappointing thats why i gave it 3stars, friendly staffs the pace was good fairways are in good shape.
FCN is one of London's premier public golf courses. It has a great 18 hole layout and is a definite challenge from all T boxes. The course is well maintained and always in good shape. Staff are friendly and efficient. Forest City should be on everyone's "must play" list.
I don't get out too often for a round of golf but enjoy this course. It's not too difficult just enough of a challenge
Favorite
Nice course, lots of challenges
While we enjoy the course itself immensely as it's a great track, the management of the pace of play leaves so much to be desired, a 5+ hour round seems to be an acceptable norm there. We tend to limit our play there to once or twice a year, always hoping it's improved but alas, once again that wasn't the case yesterday. The main issue we experienced on this day, 3 women playing in front of us, that apparently were on Island time, they played so slowly we were consistently waiting up to 5 minutes between shots. Apparently oblivious to golf etiquette they would not allow us to play through, by the 6th or 7th hole they had an entire hole empty in front of them? We were so hoping they were only playing 9 but of course luck was not on our side as they played the full 18. The one time we saw a marshal, not sure what purpose he was serving, just sits in his cart in one spot with his thumb up his.....? We go into the proshop at the turn and before I can say a word, the guy behind the counter, say "is it about the pace of play?", why yes, yes it is genius. Did anything change after that, nope, of course not. The foursome behind us by the 12th hole said enough of this bs, and drove past us, past those awesome women, and teed up on number 13 since the hole was empty. Smart move gentlemen, wish we had thought of it. I'll never understand how some players can look back and see 4 carts on a tee box and not think, hmmm hey maybe we should pick up our pace a bit, or heaven forbid, let the faster group through! While those women were selfish and rude, or perhaps they even were clueless, this ultimately falls to Forest City National's management and ownership. I appreciate slow rounds occur periodically on all courses, I'm baffled why it seems to occur 90% of the time there? I think they should actually rename the course to "Slowest City National", that would be quite appropriate and very reflective of the golfing experience there. I apologize for the length of this review but thanks for allowing me to vent. See you next year FCN, maybe.
Great course hooked up with two others. Very enjoyable. Still a great course.
Very nice course ... well maintained
So much fun! Such a pretty course to play. Even when you get rained on.
Not in great shape. The interior and management staff act like it's an inconvenience for you to golf there. Way too expensive for what you get.
Good carts with gps. Its just difficult enough to be really fun. Its tight and lots if obstacles. Nice proshop staff. The price is pretty steep and there are a lot of planes going overhead due to it being close to the airport. Im no pro golfer and I had an awesome time here. Check em out...you won't regret it.
Fall rates are high but the course is good.
Best public course in SW Ontario
Great layout! Challenging to play. Don't like cart path only if it has rained in the 3 days prior.
golf course is great. and don't forget to go in for a drink and a burger. great food

Very nice golf course. Good layout.
If only it was possible to give a 0 star. Abhorred customer service, which was completely unnecessary. My friend and I bought vouchers to play this course. We had used about half of the vouchers we had purchased already. We were going to use the remaining two near the end of the season as they were expiring, but we were told at the pro shop if we paid $10 next season we would be able to use them then. We thought this was absolutely fantastic! Let's wait for the better weather we thought. Both my friend and I had called and left our numbers separately for someone to get back to us when we called in the new season to book our tee time and use our vouchers. They didn't know what to do, so we were told they are going to talk to the owner and call us back within a few days. We were understanding. 4 weeks went by and neither of us received a call back. I finally called again and was told that they would NOT honour what we had previously been told! We had lost the money we had put into the vouchers all because we were given misinformation by one of their employees. The worst part is we were going to use them before the expiration date until we were told we didn't have to! After getting nowhere with the employee in the pro shop I asked if I could speak with the manager. With an unmistakable lack of confidence in his voice, he told me he was the manager (questionable). So then I asked for the owner to call me back when he was available. Apparently the owner didn't have time to address our concerns. The employee then proceeded to offer me life advice, "next time you have a voucher, abide by expiration date on the voucher and not what an employee of the golf course tells you". That was quite audacious. Does that mean I should consider all the employees liars? His answer was "yes" to that question. Hmmmm. Again, we were going to use the vouchers before the expiration before speaking with their employee who convinced us we could wait. That part burns the most really. The whole time I was thinking, how can a company believe managing a situation like this is good for business? My friend and I wanted to give them $20 to use our vouchers this season, as we were told we could. We were wanting to give them more $$money$$!! They could have slotted us in during twilight hours or during a time when the course wasn't even busy. It's not as if the course is booked back-to-back with foursomes all day, everyday. There are vacant spots to be filled. They would have avoided all this frustration, the poor review and actually made more money. Mind...blown.
Beautiful course and exceptional service.
Visited for work function - great food and service. amazing nature and golf course
Played this morning. Course was absolutely dead. Our tee time was 822. Maybe in total 10 vehicles in parking lot when we got there. Hit range first, balls worn but range in good shape. Fast round due to no one really on course. Course was in amazing shape. I found the bunkers very firm and could use some more sand but I should just try no to go in them. Few wet spots in low points which is to be expected. There was a small tournament going out after 11am they told us. Man, I can not believe this place was not packed with people before 830 am. Got the early bird special which worked out to $54 total for golf, cart with GPS and range. What a great deal for a great track. If I didn't live so far away I would play it a lot more. Thanks for a great morning.
Decent
Course is in great shape.
Wow a very challenging yet rewarding course!! Was here recently for a golf tournament. From the start to the end, very classy and very professional. Staff were very accommodating and will be back to beat my old score for sure! Keep up the great work!
You'd to rush your shots, the Marshall's kept telling to hurry up!
This was my first time golfing here and overall the experience was excellent. The course is well maintained and the prices are reasonable. The clubhouse visit afterwards was okay - nothing to spectacular with about 6 beers on tap. I did not have any food and didn't see a menu but I presume that it is the typical offerings.
Awesome course play was a little slow Course is in great shape
I've only played this course once in a tourney in 2019. The course is well maintained, challenging, but very rewarding. Would live to get back and play there again someday.
Good course, was very wet so couldn't use range and was "cart path only". A voucher to come back to the range another time would have been a nice gesture
Tough course Well maintained
Still one of the best layouts in the city of London. Unfortunately, bunkers are poorly maintained and pro shop is closed when we make the turn at 7 pm. Instead of resting on past laurels, it would be nice to see some attention to amenities and details to restore this venue to its past greatness.
Course in very nice condition.
I always love to play this course, only reason for not giving it a 5 star review is it is in my opinion a little expensive - $70+ tax is a little steep for this place.
Nicely groomed, move forgiving resulting in a great round.
Went here for a wedding and it was great, good was solid.
Beautiful
Course in very good condition. Pace is good today.
Kinda nice has rooches tho
Awesome course, one of the top ten courses in Canada rating 4.5 golf digest
Played here June 2020. This course has the ability to be a five star with a nice variety of hole and greens. Five sets of tees and large hilly fairways are nice to have coming from flat Essex County. The drawback is the apparent lack of upkeep and watering. There was grass left on the fairways and rough that should have been blown off, and some of the tee offs were in need of watering. I will give this place another try in the fall. September replay. The course was in much better shape and greens were fast.
Used an UnderPar coupon and golfed 18 holes with a buddy. We finished off our day in the club house over a beer and a sandwich.
Food was excellent..great venue
The course is in horrible shape this year. I don't know what they have done to the greens but they are bumpy and the ball is constantly hopping when putting. One of the biggest changes would have to be the lack of the small bucket of range balls that used to be optional before starting the round. This was one of the nicest things that they had going for them, allowing you to not end up teeing off cold from the first tee box. I also saw something about them.moving to dynamic pricing based on demand on the course. Didn't get too much information on it but I hope it is only making it more affordable when the demand is low and not increasing the rates when it is in high demand.
The course is great and generally in good condition. The beer cart girl is around pretty frequently. My only problem is pace of play. They seem to be too busy all the time and it is a constant wait for the group in front of you. Can be hard to get into a groove when you're always waiting.
Good course
Good condition for July
Nice people.
Great course
Nice course, bit noisy with take offs and landings.
Best golf course in the area and there chicken wings are to die for
Course is a little wet, cart path only BUT is in fantastic condition !!...fairways lush, greens running very smooth
Beautiful course but the sand traps are like concrete
I really enjoyed the course. Good customer service and well maintained
Reasonable prices
Close to airport, beautiful course
Great view with this course, not too hard and really enjoyable course. Sometime slow play groups will drive u crazy. Can't walk this course, cart only. Have driving range and putting green as well.
Awesome facilities, great layout, clubhouse is very nice, food is good, back patio is a great private area.
Overrated
I gave you 1 star because you closed down midway through the day last year after a heavy rain and never informed me. I drove all the way for my tee time just for you to be closed.
Amazing place!
Had a great summer. Wonderful greens, great staff. See you next year!
Played forest city on saturday aug 17 . Beautiful old tree lined golf course excellent shape and nice staff.
For $50 can’t beat the price, beautiful course and great staff
Wish the bunkers were in better shape, but would recommend this course to any calibre of golfer
Amazing. Beautiful. Tough course.
5.5 hours to play a round of golf, during the week! Course was not in the best of condition. Driving range was closed. Had to play with the 90 degree rule in affect. Had a coupon to make the price reasonable. I would not go back without a discount in affect
Great time during the air show disappointed that we couldn't play out of the bunkers
Great layout, above average for maintenance, but would rather play a couple other courses outside of London for the money
The course was in good shape.
We just had our wedding here and all I can say is WOW! Stephanie and the whole crew did an incredible job from day one. Great job to everyone involved with our special day! Oh and golf was a blast also!
Great condition..greens were fast this day..electric carts with USB ports
I recently played here and the course was in wonderful condition. The greens were immaculate and the fairways well defined by the rough. My only complaint is that they automatically include a 15% tip in purchases at the half way house. Call me old fashioned but I prefer to tip at my discretion.
Course is nice. New owners and staff suck. Range use to be included now you have to pay $3 to hit maybe 20 balls? At a driving range with no pins or yardage markers. Starter was harassing us every 5 mins. Course wasn’t even busy. What’s the rush? Used to be one of my favourite places to play. Won’t be returning anytime soon.
Forest City is a great course set amongst the many trees of London. The course is very challenging, offering 3 tee decks over 6000 yards, and very challenging greens. The course is in great shape and offers a test to even the best golfers. They have carts that have dividers if needed and there is a great driving range for use before the round with buckets starting at $5.
My boyfriend and I went golfing there last Friday and were harassed by the ranger more then once for absolutely no reason. We will never go back there, and upon talking to other golfers from there it's not unusual for this particular ranger. He totally ruined our day.
Good golf course but terrible service.
For the most part very good golf course. I found the greens on #6 and #13 to be unfair otherwise great course and it will not deter me from playing here can't wait to go play again.
Played course on 5/21/16. It was a five hour round and the rangers never said anything to anyone. The greens looked good but carpet would have been better to putt on. It used to be better kept.
Went here for a wedding recently..Absolutely gorgeous grounds. Nice facilities and staff. View from the dining room (and bar, too) is beautiful.
Great round of golf even in late October. Course was in great shape, and the staff were tremendous as always!
Pace of play is very slow. 3 hours and 30 minutes for 11 holes. They have a marshall on the course but does not efficiently push pace. Love the layout and feel of this course. The course was in good shape, greens and bunkers are quite nice but unless you have time for a 5-6 hour round it might not be a great choice. Late morning and afternoon round are NOT going to be fast so prepare yourself.
A beautiful late fall day at Forest City, course was in great shape
Great condition too bad it's going private
Nice course always in good shape and the best GPS system
GPS on the carts and quite a forgiving course. Really decent rates for a local course.
Beautiful location ..friendly staff ..reasonable prices a gem ..for London!
good place to golf
got a deal on Golfnow. Usually a nice course but being mid October it was wet and covered in yellow and green leaves. Lost a lot of balls in the short rough because of the leaves. A lot of mud balls in fairways. My shoes were caked in muck by the end. Unless you're a die hard golfer I don't recommend golfing in London once the leaves start falling and the weather cools.
Course is always immaculate. Greens are fast but with good ball spin they hold well. The carts have GPS in them for distances and it certainly helps a lot too. Downfall is the price $$$$
Course is in great shape. Greens are hard and fast. Bunkers are well maintained. Great for average and above golfers. The pace of play was excellent around 4 hours. Well worth the travel and money.
Course was in great shape !!!
Beautiful grounds
Great course. Challenging and beautiful
I'm only giving one star because of the scenario that unfolded during our round and that has a left a bad enough taste that I will not be returning to play here. We recognized early in our round that the group behind us (group of three) were quicker than we were (group of four), and allowed them to play through on hole 3. We were then warned by the marshal on roughly hole 6 that we were 20 min off pace. After informing the marshal that we had allowed the group to play through, the marshal expressed thanks for our etiquette, that he would let management know, and were told to enjoy our round. We stopped at the turn to grab a hot dog and continued. We were then once again informed by the same marshal at hole 12 that we were off pace by a hole and a half and that this was our second warning and were threatened to be forced to skip a hole to catch up on pace. This comment frustrated our group as after being complimented for our etiquette at 20 min off pace, we were now being threatened with having to skip a hole when we were in actuality a half hole at worst off pace. In the end we completed our round in roughly 4hr 30min. I understand why pace of play is necessary to monitor, but our experience seemed a little extreme. Melski group, July 14, 2019, 10:14am.
My wife and I recently used Forest City for our reception and we're blown away by how amazing everything was. Alex, the chef was first class from the beginning and made sure all our needs were met. Everyone who came to our wedding said this was the best food they have ever tasted at a wedding. From the salmon, to the chicken and the prime rib, we were able to provide our guests with 3 amazing options plus a vegetarian option all at an affordable rate. We would highly recommend Forest City to anyone who is getting married or needs to host any sort of event.
Golfers Club
you have to play here if your in the area. beautiful course. highly recommended.
Nice course! GPS carts. Understanding helpful staff
Good test of golf...good condition and great value.
Fairways and greens are in great shape
(Translated) Perway was so good. (Original) Perway가 너무 좋았습니디ㅣ
Course in excellent condition..very challenging course and very reasonable green fee price which included power cart! Great seniors discount on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Not the best golf place
I attended Forest City GC for a wedding back in July. Three separate vehicles (including my own) were broken into in broad daylight while we were attending the reception. Stolen items and a broken window amounted to a cost of $1300 for myself alone. Security at this course is completely nonexistent and there was nothing offered in attempt to rectify the situation. The police weren't called and when we told the working manager to file a police report, he notably was completely uninterested in taking down accurate information. I have golfed at this location twice in the past and quite enjoyed the actual course. Unfortunately, due to these events, I would strongly advise against golfing or booking your wedding at this venue as there is a clear lack of attention to security and customer care.
Good course
Best public golf course in south western Ontario. Great value. 15th hole is legendary.
$79 to play this place on a Weekday and the GPS doesn’t work, not a bad layout but the course is always soaked, range is always closed, staff are always rude and quiet and focused on whatever event they booked that day. Save yourself $30 and the headache and drive somewhere else to play
Great course
Great golf course, fast greens awesome layout
Very expensive for a March round, $90 & half the shots are like hitting out of a swamp. It’s a nice course in the summer, worth the money, but not this time of the year.
05/20 - very very wet, but to be expected with the weather we've had the past couple of days. Issue was that they didn't plan t times around this. I booked one for 815 and by 1230 was only through 15, as a single. The couple in front of me did what they could, but I called it quits at 1230 and drove by three 4somes. Just need to plan t times better so play time isnt so long
Awesome facility great price, definitely will be back.
Nice golf course, great food in the clubhouse
Nice course and well cared for. My only complaint was that they don’t have beer coolers so you can keep beer from the clubhouse cold like many other courses do.
Costly but worth the value greens fairways and tee boxes all in excellent condition! Food service a bit over priced So no fifth star!!
Great day
What fantastic place for a company tourney. Great food great service!
Course was in fantastic condition! Staff was very friendly! I wish I could give more stars.
Nice course. Reasonable prices.
Still wet, range not open, cart paths are really rough. I personally think this course is in need of some TLC.
Very expensive beers !!!
Great public course well maintained
Course is in fantastic shape from fairways to greens Amazing course!
The course was in fantastic shape and the marshals were amazing. There is a reason this is my favorite course!
Great deal found and even better golf day! I played this course last week and was overall really impressed. We were a group of 4 - all pretty good golfers. We found the course to be challenging but fair. The greens were in great shape. We played mid-afternoon taking advantage of Forest City's new dynamic pricing and it was good value for the money. Hoping to get back one more time before the snow flys
FCN does not realize this is a service industry ... with a business cycle of 5 months... staff needs to be upgraded
Very challenging course, well groomed but very wet, irrigation system was going during our round. Greens were in great condition but hard to read if you dont play there regularly.
Beautiful course and very relaxed day out. Greens are very elaborate so be prepared
The golf course was in great shape. The pace of play was good.
Love this course! It's challenging and fun! One thing to keep in mind, this course will be a 5 hour to even 6 hour play course because the people play slow here. Green is fast and layout is great!
The course is in great shape. We had fun
Really good course. Nice layout. Tough undulating but fair greens. The course is well maintained
Greens definitely need to be in much better shape, who ever cuts them needs do slow down there's so many deep mower cuts and brown spots and A LOT of sand for some reason on many greens which makes the greens very hard to read and bumpy. Personally I don't think it's worth the money and the carts GPS kept Going in and out.
Nice course, beautiful location and well maintained.
