RUN AWAY! There is a good reason the Better Business Bureau is the first site that comes up when you Google her school. She is aggressive, a liar and a con-artist. What steams me the most is that she uses past students names and writes false testimonies. I FOUND MY NAME! Please check the reviews yourself, and you see the striking similarity of writing styles in most of the 5 star reviews. Because of Mary, I delayed getting my G2 license. She was mentally harmful for someone learning to drive. I later received lessons from two other schools (for my G2 and then my G) and I had a WONDERFUL experience. They both also told me that they heard of Mary's reputation, and that they receive many ex-students from there. I guess I was far from the first one.

Save your money and never go to this place! Mary will try to lure you in with lowest rates in town and then demand more and more money saying you don’t have enough experience to take the road tests. I switched driving schools and passed my g1, g2 and g all in the first try! I also filed a complaint againt this driving school and instructor with the consumer complaints for businesses. She also takes down her bad reviews and writes the good ones herself. Try taking this review down again Mary and I will surely come back and put another one up!

I have 20 years of driving experience and make no mistake 5 years of it was in GA,USA. Initially when I moved to Canada, I thought it would be enough for us to get the G directly from G1 written test because of our experience but just to be on the safe side I decided to go for a course for both myself and my wife and found Mary online and I am so glad I did. Now, I decided to write a review and when I saw that she had some negative reviews I was surprised and went along and read them. My review is positive and I support the positive claims but for the negative ones I need to write a couple of things here because it is not fair against her. I was quite happy with her blunt style of telling what you should improve ( the very reason I am hiring her for ) and she knows with %100 accuracy the rules of the road and the things you need to know to ace the G test even if you had been driving in Canada before. I see some people complaining about her attitude, referring to BBB reviews and this might confuse some people but I am almost sure with my 39 years of age based on experience with dealing people that these people are the ones who actually must have failed the test and blaming her for it. I hope my claim eases the reader to reach a decision based on this review as I am very picky on my positive reviews. And as some people allege that she is writing reviews on her own, you may message me to see that this is indeed a genuine message. She is affordable, has a very good pace to get you prepared for a G test, reinforces and corrects you on your mistake. As I already said, although I had the US experience she improved my driving and believe me I drove in very challenging places like Istanbul , New York, Germany each having their own styles and before joining her courses I went to Vancouver from Toronto by car and came back ( with our 60 days permit on my native driving license at first entry before residence ). I believe there was a strong chance that I might have made some mistakes that could have jeopardized my test results. Thanks Mary --- highly recommended

She started cleaning the car after i got inside and made me sit on a dirty pillow. She wanted me to go to the bank with her and take out money. After i left the vehicle she told me “you people need to figure it out”. 100% Do not recommend, you will get scammed.

Great persistent teacher that gets the job done. Mary's in car driving classes are pretty dang good for the price. I passed my G2 test on my first try. I was not very excited for learning to drive because I was worried, but Mary helped me realize how its not hard but also not easy. She takes you on routes that are useful, learns what you need to work on and implements that into the lessons. She lets you know what is going to be on the G2 and even the routes that it is on. Mary will make sure you know your stuff. She even tries to start conversations during the 2 hour classes so it doesn't get boring, and likes to have a good laugh. You may look at other reviews here and read that she is a 'bad' teacher, but that just means that those reviewers are spoiled. Ya she is a bit old school but so what? Mary is a valued teacher, not a baby sitter. She is still a persistent teacher, meaning that she will (and has in her 30 years) taught students that need extra help and care. But do not be lazy or take advantage of her service, that's probably what these reviewers did. Great overall, would definitely recommend. - Niko, 17

I have been with this lady. She made for me discount , but she told me that I had to pay for 20 lessons before we began. I paid all the money in one time, unfortunately, she was the worst instructor i have ever seen. Every time she took me to a parking lot and she asked to make back up parking which I was new and I didn’t know that,this parking is NOT required in the test. 20 lessons was just in the reversing parking. On our way to the parking lot, she just look to the street houses and conunt how many garages each house has. And saying this house is huge. The owner might has lots of money. He should be a doctor. She was never focusing on how I drive and gossiping others driving schools and telling her stories . Also, she asked me to drive to the another students houses to pick them up for their lessonss. She was talking in her phone a lot. I Don’t recommend her. DON’T waste your money Iike me. If there were a 0 star in the reviews, I would give it to her.

This may seem irrelevant but I watched the worst display of the teaching of driving in my front yard today. Picture a basketball rolling peacefully through the middle of the road. Children on their way to retrieve it as a Mary's driving school car makes its way up the road. The driver and student both should have and probably did see the ball. I'm sure mass confusion struck the car as I watched it slow down, let the ball roll right underneath, and then speed right back up again... *POP* The ball bursts. Dreams break. And my slightly used $35 basketball is torn to pieces. I wanted to express my anger, but the car had already flew off in a light screech up the road. Not sure what I want out of this. But I would've liked to see the instructor teach the student how to slow down, or stop as we grabbed the ball. Or pay for my $35 entertainment system. A shame really. But hopefully a lesson learned. I had a horrific time with Mary due to her aggressive teaching ways. PLEASE READ! Take note of all the new accounts rating 5 stars versus the old accounts rating 1-star. Psychologically speaking, it is scary the amount of time a certain someone spends to create accounts and write reviews of themself. They all use the same wording ('at once' for example), and they profess an unnatural love for Mary. They all have 1 review, and if she has more time then those accounts might have a second review. Using reviewers Sebnem and Ercan (posted 1 week before) who both professed love for Mary and then randomly 5 stared ClearServices. What a coincidence. Instead of spending years unrewardingly lying to herself online, she could use that effort and listen to her customers.

I totally recommend Mary's school. I'm not Canadian, so I needed to lear how to drive here, cause of course rules are different. She was very patient and understanding, explained to me all my doubts, as many times I asked, she is always willing to adjust to your time, no matter how early or late u need it. You just have to do your part of the deal, she teaches you, but you have to be willing to learn and listen all her recommendations. I totally will go back for lessons for my G. Thank u Mary, you're the best!!

Mary's Driving School is the best decision I have made to get my license. Before Mary's I was with Kool Driving and my drive skills were not up to the ministry standards and my confidence was not high in driving with them. Then I saw Mary's driving school and it was a blessing and was happy to be apart of her guidance and teachings. My driving skills are now ministry standards, I learned how to do defensive driving, and also my confidence is high and I have no worries to drive. Because of Mary I can now say I am a good driver. Having spent five years doing city and highway driving with my G2, I needed someone to help me prepare for my G exam. I had two sessions with Mary and passed my test on my first try, and I couldn't have done it without her help. She was able to point out many little things that I needed to correct in order to pass, and she knows the routes the driving instructor takes. Mary's approach may not be suitable for everyone, but if it works for you then she's a great instructor and her rates can't be beat.

She is just a little disciplined. If you listen to her and do what she says, you can get your G driver license in the first test in one go. my aunt had a G2 test, after Mary gave her word to take her on the road test she took her for a drive few minutes before the test then told her to go inside the driving test centre to check in, and as my aunt came out, Marys driving school car was gone, she missed her road test because of her, and then the instructor has the audacity to come back 30 minutes later with another student to give them practice. She asked me $150 as advance as $30 per hour. After 3.5 hours she asked another $150. As i said i have not even completed 5 hour, she got aggressive and shouted at me and told me to get out of car. Ruined my whole day. She was behaving really rude way as she was quite sure that i am an international student and cannot do anything more. Never had such an experience in Canada.

This happens to most of us...we pass G2 (you have 5 years to practice for G test)... in the first bit we are following road rules and courteous drivers, than you get comfortable driving on your own and start sliding into some bad habits and it happens a lot more than not. That is what happened with me. So in October 2020 I decided I would like to go for the G test and get my G license. I thought to myself it would be a good idea to look for an instructor to help refresh my good habits and make me a better driver again. I googled and found Mary's Driving school, called her and took 3 lessons. I am grateful I did! Mary helped me get back my good driving habits. Mary pointed out what I was doing wrong and helped me correct it on the spot. So fast forward February 25, 2021 I felt confident enough drive in for my G test by myself using my own vehicle and I passed! Thank you Mary.

Mary is hands down the best driving instructor ever. Passed my G2 road test with only 10hours of lessons with her. Loved her grandma/Suzie jokes that really gave me a perspective of what what it means to be driving defensively whilst protecting the pedestrians. 10/10 would recommend. She is very patient with her students and takes her time to repeating parking maneuvers etc until they can perfectly complete them. She actually rescheduled her other students appointments to give me a 4hour lesson the day before the road test since I still had problems with lane changes and reverse parking. I think that really helped me pass the test given I had very little prior driving experience. Her prices are also quite reasonable. Drive Safe!

Mary is a great instructor. If you are struggling with your G2 or G tests, you should definitely contact her. She always answer her phone, and very flexible in schedules. She improved my driving skills and my knowledge in a very short time. She is very patient, flexible, friendly and punctual. I realized that I adopted many wrong driving habits from my previous driving school and previous instructor, but Mary helped me to learn how to drive properly and well-prepared me for my test in a couple of weeks. My husband and I took a couple of classes at Mary's driving school. Mary's priorities are to teach you how to drive safe and how to pass the road test. She immediately warns you about every mistake you make, which I think make people feel as if she is aggressive. With her help we both got our full G licences right after G1 at our first attempt. I highly recommend her. Thanks Mary!

DO NOT GO HERE!! She was teaching while she had pneumonia and she even went grocery shopping in the middle of my friend’s lesson. She doesn’t teach you anything, she just keeps talking about random things and other people and doesn’t give you feedback. She yells for no reason. AND SHE ALWAYS TRIES TO PLAY VICTIM! She keeps telling everyone that’s she’s doing them a favour. She’s rude, arrogant and condescending. She spends too much time on the phone and showing thank you cards she got from former students. Even with my experience, I would be driving and she would ask me to change my lane…which is fine, except she would grab the wheel and try to change the lane for me when I would be checking my blind spot (she’s almost caused several accidents doing this)

Mary was very helpful in getting me in last minute. I started lessons in November and I got my G2 in my first try today! Would reccomend to anyone who wants to pass! I will be back before my G test to see you again! Mary went above and beyond to get me a test time that was not 3 or 4 months later!

If you choose Mary as your driving instructor prepare to do meaningless circles in the parking lot like you have autism and sit in the car parked while she goes inside stores and shops for Mother’s Day flowers.
