This Driving School corresponds to the category of Government office.
Such an amazing experience. The man who helped me was so friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure my visit was a positive experience. The collection of old license plate decor, and family photos made it extra comfortable. This certainly isn't your typical stuffy government office. I almost didn't want to leave. I kind of wanted to stay and chat longer.

AVOID THIS PLACE AS ALL COST. The one staff member there is nice, all others will look at you like you shot their dog. If you own a business you can walk right up even with 30 deep line get service immediately, if you dont then expect to wait an hour in line. This is a heaping pile of *&^^% management should be removed now.
The better of the two locations in Kingston. Very friendly and helpful. I always recommend my friends to use this one.

Terrible service... just awful. Not only did they screw up my address change, they blamed me for it, despite the fact that they require validation documents when making the change.

It is always a busy location but the staff gets through the line-up quickly. I find people expect good customer service but most are not willing to give the respect to get that and just come in with this sense of "entitlement". Just what I have noticed while being in there. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly but this is a private office not a government office and therefore they do not handle everything related to every government service.

my wallet was lost/stolen and the employee who helped me with the Driver's and health card card could not have been more helpful took several pictures for the license and followed protical (he was not allowed to show me) the daylilies along the pavement were lovely but swarming with wasps That could be a problem for people with allergies

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. There was nobody in the office to be served and yet I had to stand and wait for the personal conversation to come to an end before one of the 2 Reluctantly offered to help.. when I explained I was returning my mothers health card because she passed away, she looked at me with disgust because she actually had to work......I will never go to that location again no matter how convenient it is. Its worth the drive across town to Kingslake Plaza to get people who treat you with respect and can show a little compassion!
Not at all helpful. You need to know what you want. Will not give all info at same time so keep going round and round. Needs educated and helpful staff. Does not know difference between salvage and rebuilt.
After waiting in line for 35 minutes they told me to get a replacement for a replacement copy for my licence I had to go to the drive test centre. So I did, but the people there said I had to go to the service Ontario building to get it. All in all a waste of a day

The staff were excellent and patient. Much needed and appreciated.
Staff do their best to move the line along it seems. However, we recently discovered that, at least according to a front line employee passing the buck to their trainer/boss, that they do not know gender-related changes on Provincial ID. We were forced to go away unresolved, only to find out online that we did indeed already have the correct paperwork, and the employee had been trained incorrectly on the matter. Sad and frustrating for someone going through gender identity issues.
They deserve 0 star rating. The staff is very rude. They don't smile and they talk as military. Avoid this branch.

So No Government Office should get 5 stars just for the fact that its a Government Office, and nobody wants to have to go there. But I find the people work at this location to be very kind helpful. Ill only use this location if I can help it.

This is a privately owned Service Ontario Outlet. The service is outstanding. They are following all COVID-19 protocols to ensure everyone’s personal safety. When you visit a privately owned Service Ontario Outlet more of your money stays in the local community. It will save you time and frustration to take the short drive to Deep River.
Lineup of 9 people that had accumulated outside by the 9am opening time was processed within 20 minutes, and my own service for driver's license renewal and plate sticker was fast and friendly. Also explained that the weird validation period for some drivers' licenses is due to 'synching up' both driver's license and OHIP card to be on the same date and able to be done at the same visit.
Wonderful staff, got me all the answers I needed without delays.
Unless you want NOTHING but a license sticker for your car, this place is a useless establishment. Go to the one on Division and don’t waste your time here.

Was dealt with emediately with courtesy and directed to appropriate people with my matters. Generally don't care for service places that are similar. But I was thoroughly impressed by my experience and help that I needed.
The line moved quickly and the lady that looked after our needs was very nice to deal with. Definitely will be my place to go for all my Service Ontario needs.

BE AWARE: This is a privately run Service Ontario, so they are very limited in the services they can provide. On the other hand, the staff are super friendly and do their best to help.

Over the years I’ve always been well served by the staff at the Bath & Gardiner’s Service Ontario office so I have nothing but good things to say about that location. My advice ? Make sure you bring ALL your documents … in this case, more is always better! The only times I’ve ever seen people having problems is because they didn’t have the right paperwork or documentation.
Was fine. The staff worked as fast as they could. This particular location has alot of vintage license plates on the walls (no longer in circulation/active). It makes for a fun visit when you do have to wait. A look through history.

Privately owned franchise of Service Ontario that clearly posts what services they do and do not provide on large signs adjacent to the entrance. Read these first to be sure that they can help you otherwise go to the full service government office on Division Street. There is usually a line up but it moves quickly and the staff I've observed and dealt with have been friendly and knowledgeable which makes a tedious chore as painless as possible.
Terrible customer service. Employees are rude and uninformed. It all trickles down from the Manager, who is the worst one. I wish there were still kiosks so I wouldn’t have to deal with these people.

The manager is so rude. Tired to called and she hung up on me TWO times !! i asked her for her name and she couldn’t give me that ,cause by then she probably knew she was being super rude . Not friendly at all . I didn’t even get my question answered .

I was 4th in line, after waiting 25 minutes outside for it to open. I was a total of 10 minutes inside. Quick & easy & back to my vehicle in less than 12 minutes.
Ive been to this location twice, minus the pleasant interaction I had with the lady for plates, eveything else was terrible! You can do ALL the research and show the Ontario policy on the Service Ontario/ govt Ontario website and yet still get told youre wrong ( Reference IDs/health cares etc). After this, you wait 10,15,20, minutes while holding the line up for them to call because what you provided ( inline with policy) is not on "their sheet" PLEASE give your employees the proper information as you set them up for failure. That being said one lady in particular was added fuel to fire as she was VERY rude. Ive gone to the location on Division and would recommend if you want to avoid potential headaches to look into doing as well.

Depends who serves you. Manager on duty speaks extremely rude to taxpayers. She must not understand that because of us she has a job. I asked about a ticket reference number and she got so mad that I didn't understand why there isn't a ticket number attached that she lost her attitude on me. She spoke insanely rude and loud, and kept saying how it's a private run business. Maybe it's hers? Doesn't seem like a representative of our couuntry, sounded more like a disgruntled business owner. All mto should be 100% government owned and operated to prevent negtitive women like this from efftvicing the community. My local MPP and premier have been contacted. Respect is the only option. When dealing with taxpayers in a service such as this. Leave your personal problems at home or work in the private sector away from Humam interaction!

Knowledge often lacking, and the customer service skills of some staff are poor. Gave them 2 stars because they do seem to process services fairly quickly. Ensuring these folks have jobs for life ensures a "do as little as possible" attitude persists.
This is not a real Service Ontario office. The location is run by a subcontractor to Service Ontario and they offer only very limited services there. After standing in line for a long time, when I finally got to the counter they smugly said: "oh, we don't do that here. Go to the Government office in Division Street." Well, WTF! They could have posted clearly somewhere in the entrance which services are offered and which are not at this location. It's best to AVOID THIS PLACE altogether.
Always a line-up but not their problem. Make sure to bring in appropriate documentation to ease any hassles and otherwise staff are friendly and quick.

If I could honestly give these Ladies more stars, I certainly would. Being a receptions that requires quick, accurate licensing to be completed, I couldn't ask for better. Always friendly, always knowledgeable and always able to complete emergency licensing for us! Amy among the rest is an amazing staff @ Deep River MTO. She greets me with a smile on the phone, very professional and even builds a long lasting rapport with our staff. All the staff has been extremely accommodating...definitely sending a Christmas gift to these Ladies. As 2020 has been rough for everyone, I'm astonished with how well they have continued their amazing service during such stressful times! Absolutely love these Ladies.
Wait wasn't too long, the ckeyk helpful and professional
Went there to renew my OHIP card but apparently they are unable to do it there and sent me to the one on Division Street. Apparently, a government building cannot do government things. They move the lines quickly because they can't actually help you. This is 1/6 of a real Service Ontario since they might be able to do some low level things that do not require much effort, just like their jobs.
Person who helped me was nice, and very efficient seeming compared to other employee. She went through several people while the other guy was still on same person. 50/50 chance you are there for way longer then you need to be. Poor location for this, or just bad layout inside as there is no room for longer lineup.
