A challenging but fun course!

This course is a gem, locals have put in a lot of work. Well worth the stop on the way through, and I'll be back for sure.

Mel B

Super hard course, but super fun and well signed. Park at the mountain bike park.

I call this course "the great equalizer" since having a big arm is more of a liability than anything. Tight wooded fairways winding toward well-protected Discraft Disc-Catcher series baskets with lots of elevation at play. Holes are short, most < 100m but if you miss your line its can be difficult to save par regardless. There is definitely some challenge here. One of best courses in AB according to a fair number of pros and am players who have come to check it out. Now with a brand new parking lot the course has seen a massive boost of local interest and the sport is alive and well here in Hinton. Wooden tee boxes make for a nice addition, drink/disc holders on every tee, places to sit, some amazing views, it's a very special place. The occasional cougar hangs out there and there a chance you may encounter a bear so come prepared just in case. This is also a dog-friendly off-leash area so as long as they re well behaved and not aggressive feel free to bring your doggos with you. The black and white big pupper in some of the google images I posted will almost certainly run up to your group, sniff everyone, try to play with your animals and then eventually leave you alone. His name is Bishop, and Bishop loves everyone and everything. I mention this because we go every single day so odds of you meeting him are good. He's harmless albeit a nuisance but people seem to like him so why not come see for yourself?

Technical and challenging. Well signed course through the woods with some elevation and a few open holes near the end with a great view of the mountains. Discs can be rented from the Hinton Visitor Centre or purchased at 2 local stores (Maximum Outdoor Outfitters and King Drug in the valley). Access from Robb Road, park at the Hinton Mountain Bike Park and follow the trail to cross the road. Enjoy!

Amazing work from the volunteers! Such a hidden gem.

I love this course, it's very technical and can be tricky due to all the trees but this makes for more fun! The course has 3 or four forsure ace opportunities. Not to mention the legue is full of friendly, competitive and down to earth people. The Disc Golf Committee makes positive decisions about changes to the course. I feel they should do something about the grip on the tee boxes, it can potentially get unsafe in wet conditions. Recommend trying out one of the best courses in alberta

Great place! So much fun.

Awesome course! Challenging, interesting and I love the forest that doesn't feel like bushwalking when you look for discs. Hole 17 has a special treat of beautiful mountain views. Hole 18 has a whole other treat - let's just say expect it to go longer than you think. Love it, hope to be back some day.

Erik Long
