A couple years back I got my G1 and took the drivers course. I went for my G2 road test and thanks to City Drivers Training I passed on the first try. I procrastinated to get my G. Before I knew it my license was going to expire. I thought I could do my G test on my own, after all I have been driving for about 4 years. Guess what .. I didn't pass. I was so upset! I was able to file for an extention. ... if I didn't pass this time I was going to have to start all over from G1. I had one more chance, I called city Drivers Training to get some help. I was able to book an hour driving session before my drivers test today. I didn't have to wait to book a driver session. It was cheap and well worth it. They helped correct my bad habits and give me a little more confidence in myself. Guess what I passed! I would like to thank you guys for helping when I needed you. I should of gone to you guys the first time. I will definitely recommend. I have 2 younger sisters and a step mom going for their license soon. You will have 3 more coming your way. I will say that City Driver's instructors are great and did an excellent job getting me ready for my G2 test, which I passed the first try. Every instructor I drove with (5 different people) offered there own unique approach to teaching, which I found helpful. The reason I am only giving 3 stars is because the administrative side of this business needs improvement.

I was a bit late to get my license and I used to think I might never get it. However, I finally got it in September 2012, thanks to City Driver's training. The instructors are excellent. I had been through driving school twice in Quebec and I had this impression that all driving instructors were really uptight and discouraging. City Driver's Training really changed that. I really enjoyed my driving lessons. And I have come to enjoy driving thanks to them! Their prices are very reasonable too. I took the unlimited package for $1500 and I did not regret it. I'm not sure I needed enough training to make it worth it, but to me it was reassuring because I knew that they had a vested interest in me passing my test, otherwise they would have to practice with me forever. And for them to allow me to take this package, it showed that they were confident that they could teach me to drive. And they did! I practiced with Radek, Kaz and Clive, but mostly Radek. He is very funny, patient and encouraging. Kaz is also great. He may be a little quiet at first, but once you get to know him, he's really funny and awesome. Clive is nice too. Alas, I didn't very many lessons with him so I can't say as much about him. Whoever you drive with, I can assure you that you won't regret City Driver's training. My only regret is that I hadn't gone there sooner!

I had to take my G2 test before my license expired and had not driving experience at all. In 1 month with only 12 hours of practice driving, I passed my G2 test with the first try. I owe all my success to Radex Roflik THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! He is a very dedicated teacher, always patient, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Just recently, I passed my G2 test, all thanks to my instructor, Clive. I have tried 2 other instructors from City Driver's Training, but one of them wasn't teaching me anything and the other canceled on 2 lessons. Clive was always on time, showed me the right, simple and safest way to drive. I'm pretty glad I went with him. I had 10 lessons. half way through my lessons, I was ready for my test, no question about it.

Hi guys, This brunch of the city drivers training school is one of the best driving school I have ever experienced it . Pretty cheap price for getting class lessons, road practical driving lessons and renting the comfy vehicle for your road test . The front desk laddy, class teacher and all the driving isntructures are very very polite, professional, outstanding and smart . Once you get there for any kinda lesson, you won't regret cuz they show you the way how to get your license in your first attempt . Shawn is an amazing instructor he helped not only maked sure we got it but he brought life to his lectures and kept it fun. Inam and Fazel where my two main driving instructors they where very understanding and patient they made sure I knew where I needed improvement and helped me work on that. I had the pleasure of having Clive as my instructor. He was very personable and professional, always on time and always patient and understanding. Before beginning lessons with him I was very nervous behind the wheel, but with his instruction I was able to master everything I needed to know for my G2 quickly and with confidence. It was very reassuring to feel that I was in such good hands as he is a very experienced driver and instructor. I give him a 3/3 because he went above and beyond my expectations and seemed to be genuinely committed to helping me succeed. If you can definitely try to get him as your instructor :)

This was a very unpleasant experience which ended up with me going through many attempts to request a refund for half the lessons i signed up for. Radek (instructor) would sometimes just not respond to requests for driving and never kept an electronic record of my hours. He sometimes forgot he had agreed to driving and he would be on the phone or stop for errands while instructing. Worst experience ever!

Do NOT visit this place if you are not a big fan of swearing instructors. One of the main instructors (I think his name starts with an A?) always swears and lies to "make fun" of all his students. They did not give me a chance to rent a car for my Road Test, and got super mad at me when I didn't rent a car from them? The reason I later found out was because they were not coordinating and updating well with each other. There were even conflicts between several instructors as well. It turned out this school was not heard from any of my friends. avoid if you can!! Of course it's your choice but I'm just saying don't regret~ :)

I bought a 5 hour lesson package from City Driver's Training. Cons: Poor punctuality. Once lesson had to be cancelled. Contacting the company, instructors, and scheduling appointments was difficult. The quality of customer service was inconsistent, and degraded over time. Each lesson was with a different instructor. The last lesson was awful. The instructors directions were unclear. He seemed distracted, and he distracted me when I was trying to focus on the road. I ended the lesson early. Pros: Two instructors were helpful and informative. They explained the techniques needed to pass the test in a clear and accessible manner. If you're looking to improve your driving skills but don't have an upcoming driving test DO NOT go to this company. DO use all of your lessons before you complete your test.

I love this school , i went here and I thought I would never drive I was nervous and scared . But taking driving school class with Sean he taught me so much I didn't know.. when test time came, I past it thanks to paying attention and him making class experience fun to come. Delawar A and Radek R Is who choose for my schedule driving and at first I was very nervous to be on the road because I never had experience on road; it was my first time driving .. But they both made it a good learning experience. If you are going to choose a driving school, choose this one. They make you feel less nervous more comfortable, there very honest with you and what you don't get they will help you. Now when I drive I'm not nervous and I feel very comfortable on the road with other drivers and pedestrians :D

I took couple lessons with them and everything was going fine until it wasn't. For some reason, unexpectedly, my driving instructor (Radek) started acting irresponsibly and unprofessionally as he did not show up to the lessons and gave no excuses whatsoever. I could not reach him by phone and eventually, I had to cancel my lessons. I got my refund though soon, but I did not understand the motivation for this kind of sudden treatment change. Very disappointed and puzzled.

Sean was a great in-class instructor and took material that coul dhave been boring and made it entertaining. The road instructors that I had; Radek, Inam, Delawar and Winifred, were all awesome. I would highly recommend looking for another agency and do not be fooled by the low price. I am not a Canadian but I have never met a person so untrustworthy, incorrect and delayed in these years in Ottawa. I had experience with both of my children, and to be honest they both got the driving license, but for each single driving lesson they have always had to wait for all the appointments they have taken in advance.

I recently decided to take in car driving lessons to prepare for my G2 road test. I chose City Driver's based on the positive reviews that I had read online and my experience lived up to my expectations. Clive was my instructor for all five lessons and he was a great teacher. He was always very calm and was able to explain driving techniques in a very straight forward manner. I passed my road test on the first try because of his help! I also found it incredibly easy to book each of my lessons online and they send email reminders to students as well. If you're currently reviewing your options for a driving school I definitely recommend Clive and his team at City Driver's.

Clive was a very patient instructor and i learnt a lot with him. He took the time to review each steps of parallel and reverse parking, even giving me written instructions to revise once back at home. He was always very friendly and very knowledgeable of the roads rules. I greatly recommend Clive if you are new and want to start with strong bases; he will take you all the way. I passed my test the first time and really thank him for all his help.

Good pricing for the course packages they offer. I took the BDE course to prepare me for the G2 Road test and received very good instruction to prep me for the test. They have a package that includes a car rental for the road test if you happen to need that. Passed it on my first try!! Will definitely consider them for my G Road test in a year's time.

I had a good experience with City Driver's. I had the chance to work with a few of the instructors, with different teaching techniques. I was able to develop different techniques from each of them and chose what worked best for me. They are very patient with you and very encouraging. They will use their humor to calm your nerves if you get too nervous and make you relax a little. I would recommend Radek. He's funny and he teaches very well.

I had a great experience, the instructors are incredibly accommodating. I had plenty of opportunity to practice parking and three point turns and am now very confident in my parking. The techniques that they taught made even to most menacing of manoeuvres seem easy. We did plenty of in city driving on residential roads and after completing this course I feel very confident going into my G2 test. Would reccomend!

If you're on the fence about taking a driving course, or which school to go to. I would recommend City Driver's Training. Shawn, the in class instructor keeps you entertained and informed. There was not one class where I felt bored or felt my eyes closing. I learnt a lot, and it showed once I got behind the wheel. After that Radek was great to work with. He was always friendly, giving you good tricks and making you feel confident behind the wheel. My first day driving with Radek I was super nervous about being on the road, but even after one lesson I felt way more comfortable, and after the last lesson I felt as if a ton of my fears ( not all of course ) had been left behind. Thank you Radek and Shawn for the learning experience. And thanks Radek for teaching me, making me laugh and feel comfortable while driving.

Why not to go with City Drivers Training, they'll misplace your homework and essay assignments, prolong your wait to register online for in-car driving and then have no available driving instructors for when you're finally registered. I personally finish all my assignments and yet before going to pay the $15 fee for the certificate, I'm informed the Montreal office has nothing of mine on file. This 'misplacement' of paperwork even extends to the company's in-car drivers where their own legal driving credentials are misplaced. For $600 this company is not worth the headache of having to redo and resummit complete work. Pros: The instructor for in-class was great. Cons: The driving lessons in-car were good however they'll waste your time having you drive them around for business and personal errands. They'll misplace you finished paperwork, ideally you should complete the homework, scan it and send by email.

Don't waste your time or money here!!! This is the worst driving school ever. In car lessons were a waste of time, not once did any of the instructors brought me to Walkley because they were cheap on their gas. Don't be fooled by the low prices; You honestly get what you paid for.

Absolutely terrible. In class, they overbooked and tried to squeeze in as many people as possible, with very few seats the classroom was way to tight to work in. When it comes to the in car lessons, the school is unorganized, and when you try to call them, they avoid your questions and don't even pick up the phone. They also do not return your calls. Some of the in car lesson instructors are okay but some try to save their money on fuel and ask you to come closer to where they are so they don't need to drive as far out to pick you up, therefore saving them gas. In the case of an instructor falling sick or being unable to come to the lesson, they school does not notify you at all. This is a terrible driving school, would only recommend it if you are trying to save money on your insurance, nothing to learn, nothing interesting to gain out of this. Avoid at all costs.

I took the Preferred BDE course with CDT. The school has several excellent instructors, which was important to me because I wanted to get a variety of feedback. They all have their own style, yet are still consistent across the board in the tips and directions they give. I passed my G2, and decided to take further manual lessons from the school. The instructors are quite easy to get along with, and give good constructive feedback. CDT was also very helpful in scheduling my lessons around my work hours. Overall I found the experience very meaningful, and I will recommend this school to any potential new drivers.

Most affordable driver training i found in Ottawa and well worth it. Clive prepared me well for my G1 exit test by showing me exactly what they would test. He was also good at knowing when I was ready to be challenged to do some more advanced manoeuvres. He's patient, a good communicator and helps keep your spirits up... All important things to look for in a driving instructor.

I was charged $146.9 and the road test fee of $56. Therefore TOTAL of 203 Canadian Dollars. In addition, I was coming from out of town and came with greyhound and spent additional $80. Total spending that evening was $300 in addition for time off missing work. Radif Roflik car's light were not functioning and CANOTEK test center refused to take me for the G test. RADIF ROFLIK HAS STOLE MY MONEY AND DID NOT REFUND ME WHATSOEVER. PLEASE BEWARE AND CHOOSE ANY OTHER CAR LESSON BUSINESS IN OTTAWA OR ELSEWHERE. City Driver's training is a great place to start driving or even just to get some good practice if you haven't driven in a while or need to understand regulations in Ontario. The best way to get in touch with them is by email since they do not always return phone calls. As for instructors, I was driving with Clive who really is a great teacher, He is calm, patient and provides you with all the tips you need to keep in mind in order to succeed at your test. He is perfectly bilingual which helps a lot too. He is always on time and is flexible. I definitely recommend him. Happy driving!

I came from Europe to stay with my daughter who was very sick. My driver's license was expired a few years ago so I could not drive and was not able to take my daughter to the hospital, which I had to do that on regular basis. I had to start from the beginning. I passed my G1 test and needed an instructor to refresh my driving skills. I was very stressed because of my daughter's illness but neither one of two instructors I got, didn't know how to approach me and recognize what I needed. They were insensitive, screaming at me when I was wrong and made me more stressed, which resulted I made more mistakes. I knew how to drive and always loved driving but their attitude made me insecure and less confident. When I finally wanted to give up of instructors and just took a road test, I got a recommendation to call the City Drivers Training school. I talked with Radek Roflik and told him I needed someone who would refresh my driving skills so I would be able to drive safely, pass the road test, and get a G2 license. That was all I needed in that time. Radek was amazing! Not too much talking but enough to relax you. Through this talking, he would give me always right directions and good instructions which were coming from his deep driving experience not only from books. He knew how to recognize if I was too stressed and worried and helped me to concentrate and forgot about everything except following traffic and drive safely. He is more than just an instructor from book. He is thoughtful, intelligent and a very practical instructor. He was determined to teach me how to drive, pushing and convincing me I could do that, even if I was too desperate thinking I would never learn again to drive. He recognized that it was not because I didn't know how to drive but, it was because I was too sad thinking about my daughter. He convinced me to go for a G test. I did it and I passed! I will finish here just saying: I would have never been able to pass the road test or at least it would take me much longer if Radek had not been my instructor. Yes, he was late sometimes so I had to call him asking where he was, but as he said: "Nobody is perfect…" However, it was worth to wait for him when he was late. Thank you Radek!

I needed to pass the G drive straight after my G1 based on my previous driving experience outside Canada. Despite the fact that I have driving licence in 3 countries and fist one since 1988 I was absolutely not sure that is can forget in short time all the bad habits that one accumulate after years of driving. Radek was absolutely excellent and thanks to his 2 hours of preparation on weekend before drive and any final hour at the day of drive test I have passed G in fist attempt. I purchased the Road Test Package (#4) ($165). I am very disappointed with the service received. My first instructor was late for pick up on both occasions (30 minutes late on the first), with no warning that he would be so late. He couldn't be the instructor for my third lesson and driving test, but assured me that I would be using the same car. For my last lesson, the second instructor called and asked if I could start my lesson 1 hour earlier because he was finished with a student - I couldn't. He picked me up at the scheduled time, in a different car. He proceeded to slam on the breaks repeatedly throughout my lesson rather than offer me advice, like slowing down for a speed bump or slowing down before an upcoming yield sign. I had to ask him to stop doing that and to communicate with me instead. After my exam, which finished at 3:40pm, well before my 4pm time slot ended, he asked if we could pick up his next student. I agreed. He then wanted the other student to begin his lesson while I was still in the car. I had to insist that he drop me off first before beginning the next lesson. Lastly, on both occasions where I left messages at the reception to discuss my appointments, my calls were not returned. I had to call back myself to get the information I needed. All to say, I am very disappointed with the service received and do not recommend City Driver to others.

I was ably to develop different techniques from each of them and chose what worked best for me. They are very patient with you and very encouraging. The worst driving school ever Its like there is only 1 employee in the school I called to schedule a time to go for a drive , he answered and said he will call me back in he evening ,,,, he didn't I called the next day and left a voice mail ,, no body called back The next day I called and same guy answered and asked me to call him the next day at 1 , I called and he said he will call me back in 15 min ,,,guess what ? I waited 30 min and he didn't call , I called him back he didn't pick up the phone , I went to work and the next day he calls me from different number to schedule on Thursday . On Wednesday he calls me to drive in 1 hr and he suppose to come at 1 . Guess what again ? He didn't show up He called me 45 min later I didn't pick up So I have 2 advice for you 1) start your lessons at least 1 month before your test 2) anyone is better than this school

I would like to share my experience here on City Drivers. First of all it is a very unorganized company. I have never seen anything this bad. The owner David I believe his name was very nice and funny over the phone but a little too flirtatious I find. He should keep the company professional. This is just the start... I was able to have a good conversation and a better understanding of the deals and packages. He said he was not in front of a computer so he will have to call me back and help me register. So I patiently waited...but nothing. So I called again, but this time I got no answer. I tried to email, come to the office personally and again, nothing. I became busy for the past few weeks and thought should give it a try again. I try to call once more, and he answered. Guess what, I got the same answer as I got from the first time I talked to him over the phone. I understand how it can be busy, but that is just not how they should run a company. As he was one the phone, he would get distracted and would teach the student with him. This is very unsafe for him and the STUDENT. I think this should be checked. One of my friends that used to go here told me to not go further with this company. Im so happy that my friend saved me all the troubles and money. I don't know why this place is still open...PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE CONTINUING WITH THIS DRIVING SCHOOL !!!

The staff are reliable and return phone calls and e-mails quickly! I went in for my G road test today with Radek, and he was very helpful with my parallel parking and showing me the testing area ( Walkley center). Kinda came a bit late in the beginning but gave me the hour beforehand which was very helpful and helped with my nerves a lot! Would definitely recommend CityDriver if you're an experienced driver looking for a refresher course prior to your road test or a young driver they take good care of you to make sure you pass!

Initially, I thought that drivers ed was not necessary for myself because I had already had a decent amount of time behind the wheel. However, learning in class and on the road with the dedicated expert drivers at City Drivers, I learned allot more than I would have ever learned just by simply driving. There seems to be a lot of mixed reviews on city drivers. some very good, and some very bad. I was very skeptical going into it. it may have taken me a week to plan a session. I had the pleasure of meeting 3 of the instructors from city drivers. A lot of the reviews here say that Radik would be late or not show up. This is very true, i had three lessons with him, he was late every time, but i planned accordingly, and made sure the rest of my day was free. Despite this, he's an excellent instructor. People mention that he is also on the phone a lot. this really varies depending how busy he is, but I would just concentrate on my driving most of the time, and if i was doing something wrong he would point it out during his call. one day he didn't show up for a session, so i just simply called him and asked if any other instructors were available. and it was that easy to have another session. I had two other instructors (can't remember the names), both were on time. both were very motivating. I had a total of 5h of driving with them (with little to no past experience driving), and i was told i passed my G2 better than most people who go for their G2. I much more confident on the road than when i started. TL:DR Expect delays, plan accordingly. very helpful and friendly instructor. Made me pass my G2 with flying colors.

Did a quick scan on the net and chose City Drivers because of the low cost and the positive reviews about one of their instructors, Clive. Decided to take a chance and was very happy with the outcome. Today I passed my G2 test in large part to the excellent training that Clive provided. Clive not only prepares you to pass the test but ensures you are aware of good defensive driving techniques. I had great experience with this school. Driving instructors are very experienced and patient - they always stay calm if you are making errors and work with you patiently until you improve. They are honest and will only tell you to go for test when you are ready to do so. Radek, the school owner, is very responsive and helpful. There was a technical error in the Drive test system which did not allow me to book my test and he helped me throughout the process. I was especially impressed with Winifred - one of the instructors. He has amazing techniques for parking and turns which, if you repeat them, guarantee a successful completion of the move. I got my drivers licence in Europe but once came here had to retake all the steps. I have had such a wonderful driving experience with Radek (passed G2 and G on a first attempt). Radek has been by far the best driving instructor that I have ever met – professional, experienced, knowledgeable, patient, and with such a great sense of humour. Every driving lesson I learned new things but it never felt like I am trying to retain new information in my head – the process was so easy, enjoyable and interesting. I had previously failed my g2 test horribly and was still entirely unprepared before he took me on a 3 hour practice before my exam. I got 100% on my G2 test. I tried to take a driving lesson but the driver never showed up or answered his phone. The company never made any kind of acknowledgement of this or apology on the day of the lesson or afterwards. I sent 4 e-mails and called multiple times to try and get my money back. I was told that my money would be refunded that night, when I finally got through the first time but after a week of waiting I called again and it was only at that point my money was actually refunded. They provide horrible customer service and even in the calls where I had to tell them that the driver did not show up did not apologize. They wasted a great deal of my time and clearly only want to take my money rather than offer me any driving lessons. I did receive good customer service when I booked my lesson but after that it was horrible do not book with this school.

I got my g2 a week a go and this is because i had THE BEST teacher in the world Clide , i had my g1 for 2 years and 1 month training with Clide, and i got my license . thanks a lot for your patience , i hardly recommend Clide to everybody ps : and about the rest of the service i receive .. VERY POOR. I called and called so many time and it was very hard to retch Radek for driving lesson or any other needs if you are to busy to answer, hearing somebody to do it for you.

I just finished my in-class course at City Drivers and was struck by two things: 1) The energy, knowledge and humour of the instructor; 2) The moronic zombie-like state of his mostly teenage audience. Something is wrong when the instructor calls out for volunteers and receives only blank stares. Does this generation not understand that learning is an interactive activity and not a spectator sport? Wake up kids! The power mongers will have you for lunch!

I went for two lessons. One with Kaz, and that was horrible. I won't go into details, but I was terrified of getting into the car this morning, and and he told me I wouldn't pass my G1 exit test. I got into the car with Clive before my test this morning, and he was a miracle worker, I passed! I love him. He's sweet and patient which is exactly what you need. Not only does he teach you to drive but he also teaches you tricks to pass and calm yourself down. It was totally worth it! I won't hesitate to book with him again when I go for my G test!

Fantastic program!!!!!!!!!!! My classroom instructor was Shawn who is an excellent teacher. He is also funny. There was no time to get bored. Shawn kept us all focused by continuously asking questions and providing fact about different scenarios. You can tell his presentation is well prepared and organized. He did a great job. I definitely loved my classroom and I know that many of my classmates did too. For Driving lessons I had three different instructors that I picked using the scheduling system based on my availability. Very flexible, You see everyone's availability. Pick and choose any instructor any time. No need to be stuck with the same instructor unless you choose to. I felt like I had 3 different tutors trying to help me with my driving. All 3 in car instructors that I worked with were nice and focused. I felt their genuine interested to help me. Each of them used different style but was the part I liked. One focused on different parking maneuvers and I have to say it was so easy. In very few steps I was actually able to park the car almost perfect every time. I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT. When the instructor said "Today we going to focus on parking maneuvers ". I got little bit nervous since I had NO idea how to park the car. One of my friends told me that parking will be difficult, soon I realized she was wrong, not sure which driving school she went to. Other instructors surprised me little bit when they guided me trough down town traffic And even took me on the 417 HWY. My mother couldn't believe it. It was great! After each lesson I was getting more and more excited about my driving skills. Two days ago I passed my G2 road test!!!!! WOW. I felt huge relief and HAPPINESS. HUGE THANK YOU TO CITY DRIVERS TRAINING SCHOOL

The in class teacher was great and most of the in car lessons were mostly helpful, but they were almost always late as the never accounted for rush hour or travel time between appointments. All of my in car instructors thought it was okay to text me early trying to change the plans of the lessons. Two of my five lessons were texting me rudely demanding me to start early. I said no I cant and he continued to ask me why and where i work and when I'm done and a bunch of stuff that was personal. They wanted me to bus to the other side of the city in not enough time on a weekend even though I clearly scheduled them to pick me up at home. One cancelled the day of because of car problems, which was fine, but he did not notify the office so they assumed I did both of those, thus leading me to miss out on my last lesson. Overall they were a little bit helpful, but VERY disorganized! I would not reccommend this driving school to anyone.

I did my 10 hours with Hashim, and he was very patient with me and I learnt very quickly with him! I passed my G2 test on my first try and I was very prepared thanks to Hashim who took a lot of time to go over things I had trouble with and made sure that I was ready for my test. Fraud, stay away. Lots of honest places to go to instead. I withdrew my son from this place and they refuse to refund me....after they said they would. If services are not rendered then a refund should be made. Just how honest business are. But not this place.

I would personally like to thank the best instructor Hashim who is honestly the most excellent and patient instructor that I've had, without him I would not have passed my g2. Would highly recommend City Drivers Training. Reasonably priced and always quick to respond to calls and emails. Although the in-class material can by quite dry, the instructors always found a way to make it interesting and engaging. There's a lot of information to cover there, and I felt that everything was given the proper amount of time and focus. I'm an anxious driver who decided to learn later in life. I have to say, I was always made to feel confident and comfortable while behind the wheel with their instructors. I even spent a few hours driving manual, although it's not my preference, I know that I can do it if I have too. I passed my G2 with ease, and it is in no small part to the education and confidence I gained from City Drivers Training. When I decide to do me full G road test I will definitely be hitting them up for a few hours of in car training. Thanks guys!

My driving instructor was Radek. I took 2 10-hours driving packages. Eventually, I passed the road test, and he did help me to build the skills necessary to pass the test. However, my main complaints are 1) he's always late (anywhere from 30 min to 2 hours); 2) never lets you know that he'll be late); 3) talks all the way while you're driving, instead of letting you to focus on the driving; 4) can easily take you someplace for his own business and let you wait in the car for as long as 30-45min; Anyway, I passed the test, and for that I thank him, but he wasted a lot of my time.

I have had the opportunity to learn from pretty much every driving instructor at City Driver’s Training. All of them are very knowledgeable and extremely nice people. I had most of the in-car lessons with Hashem and Radek. Hashem is very patient and observant. He figured out my driving errors and weaknesses, and he worked diligently to make sure that I overcome my shortcomings. Radek, on the other hand, is absolutely a great person and an amazing driving instructor. His focus on teaching not only regular driving but also defensive driving is remarkable. He is the person to ask for if you want to know about the “do(s) and don’t(s)” of the road test. While driving on road with Radek, his friendly demeanour and an awesome sense of humour plays an effective role in keeping you relaxed and focused on the road. I had to take my G test before my license expired and had not driven in quite sometime. Took 1 hour the day before and 2 hours right before the test and I was able to pass. This was due to the incredibly helpful instructor at City Driver's Training called Radek. He was patient, fair, and helped me master some of the more difficult aspects of the G test. I would have never been able to pass on my own without his help and his knowledge of the driving route the test would take. Not only that but he was able to pick me up and drop me off at my house which made getting to and from the test that much easier. 3 months and 12 driving classes ago, I had never driven a car in my life. And today, I got my drivers license! All thanks to Radek, and the team at City Drivers Training in Ottawa. I was looking for a school that could teach me driving from scratch, and assist me with all the formalities including the classes, pre-test driving session, car hire for the test and the test itself. City Drivers Training was perfect in every regard! From start to finish, all my queries were carefully answered, and Radek was a fabulous instructor. He picked me up at a location of my choice almost every class, very very very patient (even though I made repetitive mistakes!) and gave useful feedback post each session. He has a technique that teaches you to be a good driver, know the rules, and also know when & how to use your discretion. As good as it gets! In a nutshell, I highly recommend this school and Radek as a driving instructor. And next time you plan that road trip, you'll have them to thank!

FANTASTIC DRIVING SCHOOL . The instructors are really friendly, helpful, and understandable. When I started the course I did not know much about driving. The classroom was well organized and very informative. For the in car training, I was able to practice with the different instructors. My husband and i both had foreign driving experience and had to, in spite of that, upon arrival in Canada take the theory exam and the G road test. We researched a number of schools online and decide to go with City's Driver's training because of their good reviews. Turns out, we were absolutely right to do so. We both passed our G road test on the first attempt thanks to Radek and all the insights he taught us during the in car lessons. Radek is a great instructor with plenty of experience (and a good dose of humor). He takes into account your previous driving experiences and does not start you from scratch nor force you to do things differently than you have so far. He merely clues you on the Canadian rules of driving and ensures you become well in tune with them so that you are well prepared for your G road test and for driving on Ontario's roads. The only downside i can think of is that Radek can sometimes be late to an agreed upon lesson. However, the fact that he is such a great instructor who is always willing to go the extra mile and who is fully committed to his students success makes up for it completely. I would warmly recommend City Driver's Training to anyone looking for a driving school.

Even though my wife registered online and paid for the entire training package online, she still had to stand outside City Driver school for over 30 minutes waiting for their classroom lesson. The line up was long and not moving because some people were registering while those who already registered online and paid online still had to wait in the line up. This business is poorly managed. Went to city drivers for their drivers ed course before I even had my G1, their class really helped me gain the confidence to get my license. I passed my G1 immediately after the in class sessions and got my G2 with their help again 8 months later. Finally, I got my G again with their help, hands down the best driving school out there. I took off work to take the lessons. Radek was late every time. He re-booked, but I had to take more time off work, costing me money. When I pointed this out he was dismissive. Once he was 15 min late and added 15 min to the end of the lesson to make up for it, but then spent 15 min in the toilet at Tim's. On my time, he would: talk on his phone, make me run his errands, make me drop people off at home. When I paid for the #2 package to do my test again, he didn't confirm the appointment until 4 hours before the test, despite endless emails, texts, calls. I had to call and threaten to get my money back before he would reply. After the test, the driver took off when I went in to get my paperwork!! It was 3:30pm and I was paid until 4pm and paid for the drop off service. I called, texted, emailed and Radek refused to answer. So I used the Ministry phone and he answered on the first ring! He was screening my calls. (He did this repeatedly when trying to call to find out why he was late, if he was coming etc). Then he told me that since I wasn't THAT far from home, I could make my way on my own!!! I refused, and demanded my pre-paid ride home!! He made me stand there waiting from 3:30 - 5:25pm!! I think he assumed I would get fed up and call a cab. It ruined what should have been an exciting day of completing a milestone life skill. It was like pulling teeth just to have him confirm then complete the services they were paid for.

My daughter tried City Drivers and when she went gor her driving test, the driver nevet showed up to practice an hour hefore or even let us use his car like it said in the contract. When I talked to Raddick afterwards, he fixed the situation . It was mis comunication on everyones part. De o for her G licence he showed up and was there for us. I rate this school 5 on 5 . They stuck to their word even though it was expired. Thank you Raddick for coming through !

Unfortunately the owner was very hard to reach and is not much concerned with customers. I say this because I was injured in an accident and asked them to extend my window by a year for my expected recovery to be complete. He said yes, but I when I called back to complete my driving hours, he denied that it had been a year and stated that I was actually 2 years late, and was rude throughout the call. I had a receipt with the date in question to prove this. I have seen several reviews regarding the same type of issue (owner not hesitating to take money where he can.) It was quite devastating to have lost hundreds of dollars because of this denial. Save your money.

I just saw City Driver's Training on Groupon Deals site and thought would write on my experience. Classroom lessons were fine. Like it was mentioned before, Radek does not show up for appointments or cancels them in advance... Driving education is important so take your money and go somewhere else were they will not waste your time. Stay away from this school. I don't know the criteria for getting certified with Ministry of Transportation, however this company practices should be definitely reviewed.

I recently moved to Ottawa and needed a driving instructor as my driver's license was going to expire and I was completely unfamiliar with the area. After browsing online for driving schools, I decided to go with City Driver's Training based off of the reviews and the affordable rates that they provided. Radek was a phenomenal instructor and taught me everything I needed to know within three 1-hour driving lessons. He is a friendly and honest person who goes the extra mile to make sure that you will do well. I passed the G test on my first attempt in a new city and would definitely recommend him to anyone!

If I could give it zero stars, I would. I did their $95 road test package. As per the website, this package includes a one hour practice, use of the car for the road test, and pick up and drop off. I completed the hour lesson and passed my drivers test. When I got back in the car with the instructor he told me that he didn't have time to take me home as he had another lesson starting in a little under an hour. We were at the Canotek driving test location and I live in the Glebe. We're almost 12 kilometres away from my home. The driving instructor leaves me at St. Laurent Mall despite me telling him I don't have a phone on me, I had never been to that area of Ottawa before, and I had no idea how to get home from St. Laurent. He tells me that he doesn't have any other options as he has to get to his next lesson, which was starting in 45 MINUTES. He had been on time for my lesson, so it wouldn't be fair to the next customer for him to be let, so he said. It ended up taking over 2 hours for me to get home on the bus after desperately trying to figure out how I would actually get home. I called City Drivers when I returned home and explained the situation, asking for full or partial refund because the service they provided was not the service they advertised. The person on the phone refused and told me I had passed the driver's test and gotten my license, so technically they fulfilled the advertised service. I've never been so upset or disappointed by a company in my life. I'm a 21 year old woman, so I was able to manage to get home safely, but I worry about a 16 year old finding themselves in the same situation. If you are a parent and you are thinking of enrolling your child here, please don't. The instructors don't care about their safety and may do to your child what they did to me.

City Drivers training was an excellent experience for me, I didn't think I need to do drivers training for my G2 until I took this course, it was very helpful wonderful people learned driving techniques and rules I didn't know about. I now feel comfortable with my driving, the schedules for the road training was very easy to make, they have very good service, I had received my certificate in a week after finishing my in class lessons. I recommend this to everyone, Radek was a very experienced trainer, it was all very good experience.

I did my in-class portion of the driving school with Sean. He was funny, attentive, knowledgeable and passionate, which made it easy to learn the material. For the in car lessons I had Radek. After the first session I made sure to have all my sessions with him. He is a very good teacher and a hilarious person, he makes the time go by quickly. He even met with me the day of my G2 to give me some extra time to practice. I got my G2 and I can honestly say it is all thanks to Radek. City Drivers Training really cares about their clients and will do anything to help them succeed. I highly recommend choosing this driving school.

Absolutely horrendous experience with this company. Purchased 15 hours of in car driving lessons online in Spring 2016 and spoke to the owner via telephone to arrange lessons. I had specific concerns regarding availability, as my wife was only available after 6:30 on evenings Monday to Thursday. We wanted to make sure this would work for them as we wanted the lessons completed in a reasonable amount of time (I.e. 2-3 months). This was communicated to staff prior to her first lesson, to which the owner replied it wasn't an issue as he and his drivers "always worked until at least nine at night or later", despite only being able to book online as late as 4 PM. Fast forward to October 2016 - lessons still aren't completed. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable in their dealings. We've experienced everything from last minute cancellation to unreturned phone calls and emails for weeks on end. Lessons were often cut short as other customers had taken priority. When they did find return calls, 1-1.5 hour lessons were booked sometimes 3 weeks to a month apart. I am not one to post negative public reviews , but honestly feel like people should be aware of our experience so they can spend their money elsewhere. This isn't necessarily a reflection on the quality of instruction, but if you plan on getting your lessons done in a reasonable amount of time - look elsewhere. Yeah, the prices may be competitive, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Brutal customer service.

Thank You Sir Clive... I took BDE course in City Driving School Ottawa before going for G2 test and I passed the test in first go. The class room lectures and driving lessons were very helpful in understanding Canadain way of safe driving and to pass the test. Having no prior experience, I found my driving instructor Sir Clive very polite,professional, always on time ,understanding and patient. He is particularly very good for new drivers who get nervous in the beginning. He gives them enough confidence to become a good driver and pass the test as was the case with me. I have no hesitation to recommend him for new drivers.

They have a great team, Madeline the receptionist is a real sweetheart, the instructors are patient and will do their best to accommodate your individual schedules and last but not least Radek,owner, manager and in-class teacher will make your driving experience an experience you will enjoy and never forget. I am 64-years-old and I have recently obtained my G2 permit. Radek has been a God sent to me. I owe my success to him without a doubt. I was going through a very difficult time in my life yet I was determined not to let go and get through this. I had moments of despair and doubt in my ability to drive a vehicle. Radek understood my situation, first and foremost treated me as a human being and respect. He went way beyond the call of duty for me. I had Radek as an instructor and he was great - very thorough and patient and encouraging. Just a few hours with him and I was ready for my road test (I had driven lots in rural empty areas before so was comfortable in a car but had no experience with lots of traffic/Canadian road rules), which I passed.

I would give this company 0 stars if that was possible. I have never had such a poor experience with a company. Prior to making a payment, I informed David (or Radek?) of the date of my test, and I was told that I would be able to complete my 5 hours of in-car lessons. I sent the etransfer as I could not book lessons without paying. After completing payment, it was incredibly hard to get in touch with them and when I finally did, I was told by David that he would call back- but he never did. It took numerous calls on my part to even schedule the first lesson after over a week. On the day of the first session, after having waited beyond the allotted time for half an hour, I called him to ask if everything was ok. It was pretty clear by the tone of his voice that he didn't remember we had a lesson scheduled! I decided to cancel any classes at that point. The only positive is that I received my refund within 2 days. However, I had to scramble to find an alternate instructor before my driving test. A very unprofessional experience, this person was rude and unapologetic. I would never recommend City Drivers training to anyone.

I absolutely loved my experience at City Driver's Training! There's so much to say about it! To begin with, City Driver's Training classes were so much fun with the instructor Radek. Radek was an amazing instructor with so much enthusiasm and energy when he taught our class! He was our in-class instructor and he was also one of the many wonderful in-car instructors as well! Radek was successfully able to teach us all about road safety and driving techniques within the classroom, he answered all questions thoroughly. His method of teaching must be applauded! There were only 4 days of classes, so the in-class sessions just flew by for us all. After our 4 days of classes, we were able to book our in-car lessons online, very easily! Everything was so organized, we were able to choose your in-car instructor, and the time that would be most convenient for us. I had booked all my lessons very easily with no problems at all! My driving lessons, were so useful, I learned so much! Not only was it helpful but I really felt comfortable with my instructors. My in-car instructors were Aly, Kaz and Radek, they were all awesome instructors! They always showed up right in front of my house at the exact time that I had booked them! They even would call me if they arrived a few minutes early! They were very nice and patient. They taught me the correct way of driving and so I really felt confident about getting my G2 easily. There are also many other instructors within CIty Driver's Training, so you must give them a shot! And their prices are the cheapest, they have excellent deals! Now I am someone that really enjoys driving, I love driving! I am fully capable of driving safely! I really had a great time at City Driver's Training and I can't thank them enough for enhancing my driving skills! City Driver's Training really is the best! I highly recommend this Driving School to everyone!!!

The first thing you see when you look up this City Drivers Training is 4-5 star reviews. Lies. The owner has his friends write fake reviews and gives discounts to those who leave good reviews. The owner, Radek is terrible - not only he is late to appointments, he is on the phone all throughout the lesson. The other instructors are hit and miss, but most of them do not actively teach techniques, they essentially "babysit" while you're on the wheel. Most of them are not punctual, especially, P. Winifred. Shawn, the in-class instructor, is excellent. Unfortunately, he's the only good thing about this place and he doesn't teach in-car classes anymore. I suggest you not be lured by the cheap prices, and go elsewhere.

Agree with all the 1 star reviews. The owner Radek is extremely rude and unreliable. There are occasions where he was an hour late for lessons. During the lesson, he is either on the phone or throwing condescending remarks at the student. The other instructors are not much better. I wasn't able to get my license with them, so I tried a different instructor afterwards who was punctual and patient. That made me realize just how bad and unprofessional this school is. I wouldn't be surprised if most or all of the 5 star reviews are fake.

I would like to thank the City Training Driver for teaching great driving skills. Drivers are patient, friendly and schedule is flexible. My main teacher was Radek, great teacher and extremely nice. I think the five star review says it all. In class is excellent. Unlike other driving schools, in City Drivers, you actually learn due to Radek’s teaching style. It keeps you intrigued and doesn’t bore you out. In car lessons were also fantastic. I drove with four of the instructors whom were all great. I drove with Radek twice and we always had fun conversations during appropriate times and we had driving related conversations when it was needed. It feels like driving with a friend when you have any one of these instructors. Of course, they’ll let you know when you mess up, as you should expect. My friends complained about their driving schools, but I had none here. I think I found the best driving school in Ottawa. Radek, Jean, Alex, and Winifred were all fantastic. Thanks

I really enjoyed my classes with City Drivers! My instructor, Clive, was great. He really helped me with all the skills to achieve and within 2 weeks of working with him I got my G2. Clive was also very flexible as the wear to pick me up and drop me off, I could start from school and then end at work and all I had to do was say the word in advance and it was done. Do not come here. I've taken multiple lessons with Radek and he is by far the most unreliable person I have ever come across. Lies through his teeth. Always late, never picks up his phone, promises you a lesson and then doesn't show up. Today I wasted 6 hours waiting!! Do not come here, absolutely not worth your money. This place should be inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and shut down because it's so poorly managed. Never have I been more disgusted at a business than this.

HORRIBLE DRIVING SCHOOL The owner was very unprofessional and rude. At 8:30 at night the owner called my girlfriend to harass her about a review she left regarding her horrible experience. He yelled and denied everything. She had tried to reach him over 20 times over the course of a month trying to confirm lessons to no avail. He would not return her calls or his employees, that had no idea what was going on. I sat with her while she waited for her instructor to show for her first lesson and after an hour we realized no one was going to show up. Just trying to schedule lessons took over most of our lives and was beyond stressful. It is so not worth the price, even his employees are unsatisfied with his communication skills. This was a scarring experience for the both of us, avoid.

This place is awesome!!!! Classroom is very informative easy to complete. Scheduling driving lessons was easy too. I drove with the other instructors too and they are all great, but most of my driving was with Hashim. He is a very patient instructor, and very kind and is strict only when he needs to be, he improves driver’s maneuvers by patiently showing them what to do first which for me was extremely effective, overall Hashim is an excellent driving instructor and helped improve my driving by a great amount. Highly recommended Driving school and Instructor. Great service provided.

I’ve been terrified by the idea of driving and put it off for nine years, but I finally reached my breaking point with the CDT. One of the best driving school that picks up in the city I live had pretty terrible review, and the other was too expensive. CDT has a no nonsense attitude that ended up being what I needed to push through my initial anxiety. My first lesson was my first time on the road at all, and he immediately had me driving on the street to get the previous student back home (with a lot of help steering and use of the their second set of brakes). Their feedback were firm but encouraging, concrete and 100% constructive. They do a great job of reading you and evaluating what you’re doing in order to help you improve. Scheduling can be difficult because they are so booked and I have overheard similar scheduling issues and misunderstanding that people are complaining about here while in the car with their respective instructor. I haven’t experienced any issues myself. They nearly always pick up at business hours. After 10 hrs of lessons with not a lot of practice, I passed the road test on the first try. City drivers Training has a great talent for teaching, and I’ll be forever grateful to them for helping me feel comfortable in the driver’s seat. Their instructors are the best especially their lady instructor.

I registered for their road test rental/lesson before hand online and hadn't heard a response so I emailed a couple of times to no response and called them multiple times to book the test (they say they can do it for you)/give them the date of my test. Every time I called I either got a full answering machine, a text saying they would get back to me (which they never did!), or left a message on the machine with no call back. Very unprofessional. I ended up going with a different driver company due to the horrible service from this company. I would never ever recommend anyone to use this place.

THANK YOU for teaching me so well. I was very nervous at the begining of my training. Radek was teaching me, helping me get more confidence and practising all the parking that we need to know for the road test. I am confident now that i will clear my test when is the time. For me it's important to knpw the rules of the road properly so I can be a safe driver when I'm on the road by my self..This is good driving school, good price and very good teaching. I would recomend this driving school to any new driver. It show that they have many years of experience in teaching.

Not very impressed with this place. The instructors are great and all, but the one I had was very unreliable. He was always very late to pick me up for driving. I am talking close to an hour, every single session. He explained it was because I wanted to get picked up downtown, as that is most convenient for me, during rush hour. He also explained that he taught a class right before my driving time, so he cannot leave earlier to arrive on time. If that is the case than just explain that a later time would be more realistic! Why say you can be there for around 4:00, then not show up until 5:00? He seemed to give me the right amount of driving at least, though I am just guessing because he never actually recorded my driving time until our last session. He was a great teacher though, and I will admit that I booked him specifically for my final 10 hours of in-car lessons because he was so good. He also tried to book me for my future sessions while I was still in the vehicle, so I did not have to do it online which was nice. Many times he did not actually book it though and seemed to have just forgot about me. I believe twice I had to actually call him to see if he was still coming to pick me up, just to find out that he couldn't do it that day because he was with someone else. He never called me to let me know, I had to call him after waiting for an hour. I found this to be very irresponsible, and wasted a bunch of my time. I also have asked him several times on the status of my certificate. I need the certificate to get the reduction in my insurance and he has still not gotten back to me. He never called me, even when he said he would. No problems with the instructors other than that though. Most of the instructors I had during my 40 hours were really good at explaining concepts, both on the road, and in the classroom. If the guy had been more punctual, I would have given this place 5 stars.

I took off team practice to do a lesson on my lunch hour. Radek didn't show up. After waiting 30 min without a call, I got ahold of him and he said he lent the car out to someone else for their test. He didn't care that my time had already been confirmed and it was on him for cancelling on me. He said he could make up the time after school, so I skipped another appointment and he STILL never showed up. I tried calling repeatedly and emailing but he refused to reply. I tried to re-book my time on their web scheduler, but it credited him with the lesson!!! Only after emailing from my parents email did they fix the website and I was able to cancel all my remaining time with Radek and book everything else with Winifred. (Who was a fantastic instructor and extremely punctual!) I didn't get my G2 on the first try, so I paid for another hour practice in car and rental for the test and pick up and drop off. I got an automated receipt from City Drivers that they had my money. I called, emailed, and texted trying to get confirmation for the appointment to re-do my test. For almost two weeks they refused to reply. I got my father to email them, hoping they would answer from a different email address. I guess they are so ashamed of their poor customer service that they contacted Paypal to refund my money. That's how they notified me that they were not booking my appointment! They got Paypal to do it! No reply to the emails. No explanation. No APOLOGY!!! Pretty cowardly if you ask me. Radek didn't email or text or call to explain why he waited almost two weeks to refuse me service. I guess he is just too good for my money. I would NEVER recommend this company. Radek doesn't come through with the schedule that he confirms for you. So you book time off from work and appointments and he doesn't care that he's put you out or cost you money. He treats you rudely for mentioning it. That's when you actually get him on the phone. He likes to play phone "hide and seek", where he screens the phone numbers and refuses to answer when he sees it's you. As soon as you call from a payphone or number he doesn't recognize, he answers right away. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and get your instruction somewhere else.

I took a road test package, it was affordable and well scheduled. I had two hours of practice before the test, the instructor was calm, patient and friendly. He walked me through all the steps of the test as well as registering beforehand and getting the licence afterwards. Overall a very good experience.

With my first attempt, today I passed my G2 Road Test thanks to the teaching instructions given by City Driver's instructors especially Stella, I like her methods of teaching how to do para, reverse parking and the 3- points-turn, which is so easy to understanding. So I was only able to finish my driving lessons (back in 2015ish) after the owner of the driving school had me change my origional post about how hard it was to find time into a better 5 star review. I just noticed i still had this review on google so i thought id fix it. 2020- Now they are saying they don’t know me lol. That is incorrect. I absolutely completed my drivers ed classes with them only after a lot of trouble getting all of my on road sessions (one of which I had to share with another client because the owner double booked an instructor).
