I took a class for G2 and the instructor was Anita Lai. She was very accomodating with the timings as I called to book a class just 3 days before my drive test. I cleared the test without reading the MTO handbook and after attending just 1 class. I have to admit that I did practice what she taught for a couple of hours after the class. During the test, the driving test invigilator, took me on a very different route than what was covered by Lai but it was still fine. The fundamentals were well covered and it sounds great when after the test one hears "You have met the Ministry's Guidelines today" and please collect your license before you go. One negative thing is that they only take cash which I avoid dealing in especially during the pandemic.

This school is terrible !! I had to fight for my driving lessons every step of the way , I had to reschedule 3 lessons because I got called into work and they took five lessons away from me that I had still left and lied and said I had none . When I went to go do my test the instructor kept purposely pressing the break when I was in the parking lot making me feel anxious and having high anxiety I had to hire a new instructor from a completely different school even after I paid $400 to this one . I plan on getting my money back through legal matters. If your paying for this school I suggest always bring someone or they WILL scam you . Instructors were sue and the owner of this company.

First of all, I want to take this moment to acknowledge that Best Choice Driving School is indeed a best choice. From someone that had fear of driving, I had to overcome it and I couldn’t have done it without the help of my instructor Mohsin. He took his time to prepare me for my G2 test despite the uncertainty of Covid. He was very kind, professional and very patient with the process, even after my crazy mistakes he stayed calm and composed, didn't yell at me which I appreciated because I tend to panic and stress a lot under pressure and when someone is yelling. I like that he gave me the tough love and now I understand why he was strict yet made sure that I didn't waste my time nor his time. To anyone out there scare to jump behind the wheel, please don't go for it and without doubt choose Mohsin as your instructor. I passed my G2 at my first attempt , couldn’t be happier . My in-car instructor, Hany, was incredibly patient with me during every lesson and helped me develop confidence and skill as a driver. I passed G2 test on the first attempt following Hany’s teaching. He is punctual, patient, kind, knowledgeable, well-organized as to each given in-car lesson. I cleared my G2 this weekend and it's all thanks to Mohsin. He was very professional, answer every question I had (even stupid ones), on time and very accommodating. On the day of my test he showed me the routes that I could be going on and even walked me through them as we were going through it. Why did I go here .... Nothing is right here. Office staff rude. No communication between instructors and office. They asked to me to collect my file from office and give it to instructor then they will start my road lessons. They did not schedule a single lesson for 3 weeks. Instructor Fazal is another Joke who does not listen what you request him instead he counts his own lessons to maximize his money. What a stressful time I had. Never go to this place.

I can easily tell how good an instructor would be in the way he handles the lesson every meeting. Ashraf is an awesome teacher as he assess you first with how much you know with driving and start from there. She is extremely rude and does not explain traffic rules upon asking she repeats yelling and does not explain rules. She does not consider her student concerns, she has communication problems and should not be teaching.

He is an excellent instructor and will let you know what you are doing wrong and how to fix it in order to make sure you are ready for the test. When I got lessons from him I had never driven on city streets before and after a month and a half I already had my G2. He always wanted his students to first drive safely, and not just to pass a driving test. My son loved his driving instructor Lai...... even though Covid interfered with his test multiple times Lai kept in touch. I was never asked to pay for extra hours but I asked as he had 6 months between end of lessons and his test DUE to Covid.. She felt he was ready and he passed. His in car started almost immediately. There was NO issues with scheduling..... my son was always ready for his lessons and we did not change them. HE was ready as required. He had the full 12 hrs ...... never any issues with scheduling. I used Best Choice Driving School in Oshawa for both driving school leading up to my G2 and a lesson leading into my final G exit test. I have had great results and learned a lot from their services. Today I passed my G test and if it weren't for the lesson helping me get back into parallel parking and helping access what I needed to focus on, I'm not sure I would've been as consistent. Great company, great prices and great teachers, I would recommend them to anyone.

I am really disappointed in the professionalism of this business, and would not recommend that you give these people the time of day. I purchased the Gold (online) package a couple of months ago, but decided to withdraw from the course after completing only 10% of the in-class/online component. I needed to withdraw due to the fact that I was moving out of the province and would not be able to complete the program in time due to the lockdown restrictions. According to the contract that I had signed, I was entitled to a full refund (minus $50 for admin fees) if I chose to withdraw prior to the completion of my 1st in-car lesson (which I had not completed at the time). Upon informing the school that I would like to withdraw and receive a refund, I was accused by a person named Rubina of already doing 8/10 of the in-car driving lessons. I was told that I had completed these lessons already with my instructor, and would not be receiving a refund because of this. Apparently someone had signed off with my name, saying that I had completed 8 out of the 10 hours of the in-car driving, which was totally untrue as I had barely started on the in-class portion. As far as I understand it, these people forged my signature and tried to tell me that I couldn't get a refund because I had apparently already completed lessons that I did not actually do. This is totally unacceptable, and I cannot believe that I was taken advantage of like this. Not to mention, I felt as though Rubina was very rude and condescending when dealing with me. It was also such a struggle to receive a refund from these people, once they were finally able to admit that they were wrong. Honestly, I would highly suggest you look elsewhere for your driving school needs. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable!

As the name suggests ‘Best Choice’ is definitely a best choice for driving tests In GTA area. I have cleared my G test in one go and the instructor Mrs.Roveena was very helpful and cooperative. She was very good in observing what you are good at and pointing out the mistakes needing more attention. If you plan on going to Best Choice Driving School, do consider asking for Lai as your best choice driving instructor! I passed my G road test on the first try because she taught me so well! She's great with boosting your self-confidence—I hadn't thought that I parked very well but the more she kept telling me that it was perfect, the more I felt that yeah, I really did park within the lines, I didn't have to re-park, so yeah, I'm actually feeling alright with my reverse and parallel parking. If you're ever lost, look to Lai and she'll let you understand what you should remember to do. When she's confident in your driving, you really do feel that level of confidence (especially during the road test!)—just as long as you remain calm and remember what she's taught you.

It's a good driving school and based on the ratings does have some amazing instructors across various locations, I initially started with an instructor from Oshawa who was amazing however since I am in Ajax it was a bit too far for him so I had to change to another instructor who once again was nice but not very effective. Her methods and teaching techniques did not build any confidence for me. If you opt to go with this school make sure you request for one of their main full time instructors. I had Anita Lai, help me with my G test. She is the sweetest, kindest instructor I've ever worked with. I called her last minute on Sunday to see if I could get a lesson before my test on Monday. Even though she was busy she still took time out to meet me on her day off. She really goes above and beyond in trying to help. Based on all the good reviews here, I specifically asked for Lai for refresher to pass my G test. I live on Whitby but my test centre was in Oshawa. So I met her in the test centre for my 3 lessons. 1st lesson was in her car which was terrible for me to drive. 2nd and 3rd one, Lai suggested to take my own car as I would be more comfortable in it. Lai is honest- when I asked if I need more lessons. she gave her honest opinion and suggested not to. When I asked if I should use her car for test, again she gave her honest professional opinion and told me not to. She could have easily said yes and gotten more money from me but she didn’t. That truly earned my respect. She gave me vote of confidence that i am ready and I’ll pass when I wasn’t confident about myself.

Sorry in advance for the novel folks. I did my learning online during the pandemic, no issues on that front. The problems began with the instructor I was assigned (Randeep) almost immediately. The guy immediately wanted to know how much money I made, how much money my family made, and told me by the end of my first lesson he would book my test. He told me it would be an extra $300 over the Gold Package price (cash of course). That wasn’t cool, I said no, then it was nearing end of lesson time and I figured we would drive back to my end of the city so that he could go to his next student. Nope. He made me drive to pick her up, which is wrong on multiple levels. I’m a big dude, she doesn’t want strange men like me in the car during her lesson, knowing where she lives, and I don’t want her knowing where I live either! Plus, you know, it was and still is pandemic world, so maybe we shouldn’t have been all in the same vehicle. Next lesson I don’t really give a hoot about when my test will be since the world sucks and he for some reason wants me to pay some magical $300 for the test (which is prepaid at DriveTest and I prepaid for the use of the car with the Gold Package). He then says I misheard him and it’s $150 and he will get me a good test date. Naaaaaaah. I finish up my stupidly awkward lessons with this dude, occasionally picking up other students, being dropped off by them, always being harassed or asked about money, it sucked. So then we hold off on my last lesson since my test won’t be for a couple months, my test is booked for OSHAWA (even though he keeps trying to get spots deeper in the GTA) and he wants to charge me WAAAAY too much for Lindsay or something, and all is good. I called DriveTest to confirm it was Oshawa because I didn’t trust this dude worth a damn. Months later, phone call while I’m hanging over the edge of a building doing my job, I can’t answer it and it goes to voicemail. He moved my test up 2 weeks (I didn’t need it) and moved it to Lindsay (I was cool with oshawa and didn’t want to deal with him anymore) and made a big song and dance of how I should pay him more for essentially sitting on his device and hitting the refresh button. Another couple weeks and I get a late night phone call before my last lesson and test “what’s the plan?”. I say as before the plan was to use his car for the test, and y’know, do the test. He “thought” I was going to use a friend’s car. Nope. He hangs up, I see him the next day for my last lesson and he gets defensive when I basically call his BS about changing things and jacking up prices without my consent. Anyhow, I did my test, passed, yay me. Maybe this school has better instructors, but if this Randeep guy is the one you get saddled with, switch or get your money back. Just learn some other way and click the test bookings refresh page button yourself instead of having to deal with this dude trying to make it seem like he’s more entitled to your money than you are.

We worked on all the different skills you need for g2 test (3-point turn, parallel, reverse etc). I passed on my first try at downsview test centre thanks to her!! I've had a driving instructor from ambd driving school but that instructor was horrible, he didnt teach me anything, we would drive straight for hours, practiced parking for 2 minutes, no where near as thorough as with Lai. I would really recommend you ask for Lai as your driver instructor!

If you respect yourself dont go to this school. Muhummad was my 4 day in-class instructor. On the last day when he handing out instructor cards, I asked to change mine because I preferred a male instructor. he very rudely retorted " Why do you want a male Instructor whats wrong with this" like 2-3 times which made me feel extremely disrespected. I shouldnt feel ashamed to ask for my preferences. He could have simply told me to make a call at the office and ask for a different instructor. Please teach your employees customer service.

They will take your money but they are NOT interested in making sure there are enough instructors for the amount of students they have commitments to. DO NOT PAY FULL AMOUNT of course if you have a choice! This mistake has costed me a lot of unnecessary stress and frustration and my son is still waiting to find out when his next lesson will be! He should be finishing his in car lessons by now but has only been given 2 of 10 lessons owed to him! Major disappointment! Oh, and don't try to call the office because NO ONE cares to return your calls. They seem to have so many new start dates for classes ....wouldn't you think they should finish up with current students first???? Go with another company if you don't want to this happening to your son or daughter!!

While the content was relevant and well delivered, someone I am close to was treated poorly by the instructor. She has a learning disability and takes a bit longer than some people, she had not held up the class in any way, as they were done early, and the instructor poked fun at her speed and handwriting more than once , this would have been an excellent review until I found out how humiliating it was for this person. Please consider that everyone is different and learns in their own way and pace.

Not Best but the Worst Choice Driving School. After finishing class lessons, it took them 4 weeks to start road lessons because no one took my file from school. I followed up with 3 road tutors but no luck...terrible... One who took my file was even worst... Fazal Khan and Nazam.... No support for lessons schedule or road test schedule... I would have failed if my dad would not have helped me. Please stay away from this school. They might be cheap in cost but stressful in dealing...

Hi, I had Randeep as my driving instructor and he is the best of the best. He is detailed and covers thoroughly all aspects of defensive driving. I did not know hand over hand technique and he taught me that and it was so easy lemon squeeze to make turns with that technique. His reverse and parallel parking method is brilliant as he not only teaches you to do it but if you go wrong in the process also teaches you how to correct it and this helped me big time in my test as I went too close to the curb and thanks to Randeep Sir's tutoring I was able to correct it and nailed it. I got my G licence after doing my classes with him. His highway driving lessons are the top range and he relaxes and makes you do it calmly, giving the confidence that you are in control. 3 cheers to Randeep Sir for helping me get there and obtain my G licence. But thanks to Lai she made me more comfortable and taught me everything very calmly. Even she also adjusted her busy schedule in order to give me more time. Mohsin was my driving instructor for my G2 and I highly recommend! He is extremely patient, and communicates very well. Whenever I made mistakes, he’d calmly guide me on how to correct them even when I’d make them multiple times. Ms.Lai is an amazing instructor, she gave me a lot of confidence, helped me with line change and I passed my test with only 5 lessons. The only reason I'm writing this review and giving it 3 stars is because I recently finished a lesson with Farid. Before him, I had 6 or 7 lessons with another instructor and thought I was doing well. He instantly pointed out all my mistakes and properly explained to me the what I was doing wrong. I couldn't believe that after so many lessons, I learned the bare minimum, whereas he had picked up the slack after 2 hours with me. The entire experience was like night and day, in all honesty. I would wholeheartedly recommend Farid if you choose this place, because my experience with others has been less than satisfactory. If I hadn't spent the past 2 hours with him, I would've continued the same mistakes without knowing any better. Farid showed so much professionalism and instilled so much confidence in me, I can't thank him enough. If not for him, this review would have been 1 star.

Last I checked brake checking someone 3 times and coming to a complete stop in the middle of the road is now considered stunt driving and all because you instructor got honked at. I came to Canada just over a year ago at the age of 59 from Trinidad, a small island country where we drive on the left hand side . Because I had almost 40 years driving experience I was allowed to sign up for the G test after passing the G1 written test. Thanks to my instructor Mohsin Pasha I was able to pass the G test today. Driving in Canada is much more difficult than in Trinidad and Mohsin helped me to make the transition. He is a calm and patient guy who explains the rules of the road and tells you what you have done wrong. I strongly recommend Mohsin to be the instructor for anyone young or old. He's a great guy.

Worst choice driving school should be shut down! They do not deserve one star. My son had lessons from a man last summer who was useless. By not teaching my son properly he could have put my son's life at risk as well as the other people on the road. Everyone I talk to about my son's experience I tell them this company is awful and should be shut down since their driving instructor had next to no standards when it came to preparing my son to be a safe driver. His lesson consisted of driving back and forth in a straight line for an hour! Whats even more disturbing is the owner even backed him up. We hired a new private instructor that actually taught my son and corrected the mistakes he learned from the other instructor. Best choice driving school is the worst choice.

I am rating this driving school a one star only because the in class was ok. I would never recommend this driving school. Even after completing 12 hours in car lessons my child still did not know how to even make a lane change! Getting appointments was very challenging, we would often have to leave several messages before the instructor would even call us back. He would schedule appointments 2 and even 3 weeks apart telling us that he was always TOO BUSY!! Also other students were also picked up at the end of some lessons. This driving school will stall you so that after completing your in car driving lessons, they will tell you that they recommend you pay for extra lessons. My child was no way ready, resulting me to hire another driving school to help her get her license.

My driving instructor Lai Huynh did a great job teaching me all the things that I needed to know. She was a very good teacher and overall I had a great experience.

I was really impressed with the communication with not only the driving instructor directly, but also the driving school as well. I highly recommend Mohsin because of how well he teaches and safe he taught me how to drive. I now feel much comfortable on the road with my driving. Best Choice provided me with valuable driving knowledge and techniques. They were able to allow me to work, go to school, and complete my lessons in a timely manner. The day of my G1 exit test was planned, quick, and easy. My instructor, Fazal, was great help and went into detail about everything I was learning.

Very poor service!! Driving lessons were not enough informative & felt cut short. Each lesson was $50 an hour instead of $40 which is industry standard. The price would not have been an issue if it was supported by the quality service, which was certainly not the case. My Instructor, Mr. Randeep, picked up another student while half an hour of my time was still remaining, absolutely unfair!! This practice should not be allowed as it's a safety concern (don't want to be involved in any accident due to an unknown student driver behind the wheel). Also, consistent with few other reviews, making multiple phone calls during driving lessons is a waste of my paid time & is very distracting, unprofessional. Not the best value of your time & money. Definitely not recommending him. Disappointed!

Lai was an outstanding driving instructor who really cared for her students and was very professional. She did everything she could to make sure I would be able to pass my G2. For me, she was very patient and nice. She also balanced me into her schedule for additional time on the day of the test because she wanted me to do well. She's one of the best driving teachers I've ever met. I recommend getting her as a driving instructor.

Randeep is the best driving instructor. I have done both my G2 and G exam with him and I passed both times on the first try. I am not a good driver by any means to start and I had no highway experience before taking my G lessons. Randeep was able to teach me in just a few weeks to pass the exam. Very helpful and friendly person. He is honest and fair with his business. I read a review about him forcing students to give him good reviews and I disagree. From my personal experience, he had been very fair and easy to work with. Great teacher. Definitely recommend.

My instructor was Lai, she is extremely friendly and motivating. Her parking tips and tricks make it incredibly easy for a beginner. She makes her students her priority and wishes the best for them. Doesn't waste your time, gets to the point and teaches through practice. Definitely recommend her.

As a result of his instruction, I successfully passed the G2 road test and feel much more comfortable driving. I highly recommend him as an instructor.

In class presentations were decent, although a massive portion of the lectures were ripped straight off YouTube. The actual driving instructor that I had was horrible. It was my first time ever driving a car and the instructor spent 40 minutes of the lesson talking on the phone. This school also takes students through the route of the actual G2 test in Oshawa. While this is helpful for students, this is illegal.

Just got my G2 on first attempt and I only have Lai to thank for it!! Lai is the best instructor out there. I went through 3 different instructors before her from different driving schools in Oshawa so I’m not saying this lightly. My only regret is not meeting her earlier b/c I lost so much time and money on the other three and didn’t get any further ahead with them. Lai was amazing from the very first lesson! She’s truly driven to help her student learn and pass. She is honest, reliable, punctual and committed to her profession! I promise that you will enjoy every lesson with her and learn so much from her! Thanks Lai for being such an amazing human!! Could not have done this without you!
