I had a very good experience. I went from not knowing how to drive at all to being a good driver. I was picked up from school which made it convenient and dropped off wherever I had to be. My driving instructor was Tony and he is awesome. He not only helped me prepare for my G2 test but also helped me to overcome my fear of driving. I got my first driver license back in my country 12 years ago and since then I didn’t have the courage to really drive. After all these years I decided to find someone to help me learn how to drive again and also get some confidence driving and Tony did an amazing job. He is patient and has a lot of experience teaching, he knows all the rules and tricks to teach you nail parking, turns and all. I have nothing but good things to say about him as a driving instructor and I would highly recommend him if you are looking for someone to help you learn how to drive, improve your skills or just nail the road test. And I am glad to say that I passed in my first try.

While we are not allowed be within 6ft of others, All Star has made their courses online which are easily accessible. The online courses are broken to simpler topic to better help others understand the dangers and safety parameters that Ontario law has in place. With my instructor Zahra I had a great experience since she spoke my main language and was patient, nice, encouraging, and great feedback to help better understand what we should do as new drivers.

Unfortunately, I was originally assigned to a driving teacher who did not meet his teaching expectations. However, I was allowed to switch to Hamid, who was recommended to me by a friend. He is an excellent instructor, very nice and taught me all the necessary parking and driving techniques I need to make me a better driver, as well as helped me pass the test !

Basir was an excellent driving instructor. He treats his students like his friends, and he doesn’t pressure them. He creates a comfortable environment in which students can become confident with their driving abilities. He is a natural comedian but when it comes to driving, he doesn’t joke around and ensures that his students are prepared for the future whether it’s for the G2 test or any situations in life! The driving formulas that he developed are feasible and practical to learn and he teaches hard maneuvers such as parallel parking like it’s nothing. His advice is impeccable and if you are ever doubting something, he will always clarify himself and he does not raise his voice when mistakes are made. I would easily say that he is an astute, and comprehensible driver. His knowledge and experience ensure that young and new drivers will not fear the road but they can conquer any challenging situations. I am so grateful that I was able to have Basir as my instructor because his methods were flawless and he gave me the confidence to drive without making any mistakes that would harm others or myself. My first instructor was late way too many times, and cancelled often right before our session. He literally told me he won’t be able to have any sessions with me for months. Also, in two of my sessions with him, he came 20 minutes late and ended the sessions on time.The company called me personally and informed me they will talk to the instructor and resolve this issue. They also offered to make up for the 30-40 minutes lost. I had to change my instructor and the second one is great. But the customer service is good, and I should’ve changed my instructor a long time ago.

Basir is the best driving instructor ever! He is a calm, nice, patient, and cool guy. If I could give him 20 stars I would because he is that great. His teaching methods include the use of "formulas" which make it easy to always park, maneuver, etc. correctly if you follow them. Or if you can "feel" the car then he is totally cool with that method too. He is fine with whatever method you choose to use as long as it works for you. His formulas are great however. He is also not a serious guy and treats you like his friend so it feels comfortable being around him. He is a friendly man. I highly recommend requesting him as your driving instructor.

He is a patient and friendly individual who clearly explains the tips and skills required to becoming an excellent driver. When I got my G1 I was extremely nervous to start driving however, after the very first lesson with him I already felt comfortable operating the vehicle on my own. If you make a mistake Basir will take the time to explain what you did wrong and how you can correct it for the future. Futhermore, he will ensure that you receive an abundance of practice in both driving and parking, which has helped build my confidence so that on the day of my G2 test, I was able to pass it with ease on the first try.

I’ve complete all 10 driving lessons today with my instructor, Anderson. He has been incredibly helpful in preparing me for my G2 road test. I was very nervous when I started lessons and didn’t even know how to make left and right turns properly, but with Anderson’s guidance, I’ve improved significantly and feel much more confident in my driving skills. He is patient and encouraging when I make mistakes and helps me correct them. He explains the process of performing driving tasks exceptionally well and he makes sure you are well prepared for your test. I did my last 4 lessons and road test with Basir, and thanks to him I got my G2 on the first try. He's great at explaining concepts, and uses erasers as cars to illustrate how to park. He never hesitates to point out all the mistakes I make while driving and all of the things I do well, so I get a clear picture of what I need to work on and what I need to continue. He teaches not only how to pass the test but also driving skills that are useful and practical, such as how to efficiently adjust the car while parking in different situations. Overall, it was a great experience!

Both the in-class and in-car lessons were organized perfectly and the instructors were all highly experienced that it made the entire learning experience very comfortable and easy. I was assigned Anderson as my in-car instructor and I couldn't recommend him enough for anyone else planning to enroll at the same location! Anderson is very patient, kind, and considerate when he teaches and he does a wonderful job at teaching you step-by-step instructions to all the driving techniques. My favourite aspect of Anderson's lessons was that he ALWAYS praised you when you performed a technique well, such as by saying, "excellent", "good job", and "beautiful" and it always made me feel more comfortable behind the wheel. ALL STAR DRIVING SCHOOL 10815 Yonge St, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 3E3 Very poor service,lack of collaboration,coordination with their own driving instructors team, the boss✌Mr.malik✌doesn't know to talk to the students!.they will just call back for installment they never ever call back to fix the issue you have.they don't know even if their instructors are available to give lessons or not,and have space for recent /new students or not but they give admission right away just to make money and rest of the things you have to manage by yourself !! They ask to pay full payment before in car lessons and after paying full fees, students will just have keep calling their different instructors and will end up being upset and mad like me.it's completely weste of money and weste of time to going them !!

After failing my G2 with another school I decided to give them a break and called All Star because almost all of my other friends chose this location. They were prompt and assigned me an in-car instructor right away. Basir was a pleasure to learn with: in addition to his excellent tips and special formulas that aided me in parking, he's focused, talkative and incredibly kind. He believed in me even when I didn't believe in myself, and that confidence really helped me pass this time around. My time here was short (only one separate in-car lesson and then straight to the DriveTest Center two weeks later with an hour beforehand for a little practice), but I had a wonderful experience. I would like to know why All star driving school keep teaching student on private property, teaching inexperience driver to back up and park between car and then just leave with cars damaged. I have warned some of your teacher not do it again, tenants are fed up with dent and scratches on their car. From now on we will let tenant know who keep coming, we have picture of your cars extremely close to tenants cars, tenants will be free to charge All stars for damage. Although I have not taken the in-car lessons yet, the in-class lessons have been very detailed and provided me with much needed information. I had another driving instructor (not from AllStars) before taking this class however, without being able to write down notes, as this was all done in the car, I found it difficult to remember details such as what to match up for parking or how far to turn the wheel when parallel parking. The instructor in class gives real-life experiences to better help us learn the content of the lessons. Some are funny; some are more serious, however, all help students learn the correct things to do behind the wheel even if you lack any experience. Because the lessons are condensed into four days, there is a lot to learn so I recommend taking notes on things that weren't already common sense or things that might appear on the final test. Overall, the in class lessons have been a pleasant experience and I highly recommend this driving school for future drivers.

My overrall experience with All Star Richmond Hill is very negative for these reasons: 1. Unprofessionnal agent named Rebecca who treatens to kick me out and cancel my lessons because I was asking them to provide me with the quality service I paid for: The driving instructor was not showing up after we planned and agreed on the day and time of the lessons. Therefore, I went to the office to ask what was going on with the instructor. 2. Unprofessional and rude driving instructor named Hamid who kept on shouting at me because I didnt do properly things he never taught me to do (it was my first time behind the wheel). He keeps on criticizing my driving and saying things like "why you didnt learn to drive in my home country?", "you dont have enough cars over there?". This lack of respect is too much. Therefore I resquested a refund and find another school. If you are a Black person, whether from Africa or America, be aware of this. Probably they have no respect for Black people.

All star richmond hill is a great place to go when you are preparing for your g2 driving test. I did my in class with Zubair, he was a nice and informative person. I then started my in car lessons with Basir. Basir is a very knowledgeable person, from the moment I entered the car on my first lesson, I can tell that he is confident with his driving and teaching skills, which made me comfortable learning from him. He has spent a lot of time perfecting many formulas to teach me in order for me to perform all types of parking perfectly. Basir teaches from my mistakes as well, he shows me what to do to correct my parking if I am on top of the line, or too far from the curb with his own miracle formulas. Overall, Basir is a knowledgeable and friendly instructor that has made me feel more prepared for my g2 test. Would recommend him if you would like to learn the best ways to drive.

Hamid is a terrible instructor. He expects me, a novice driver, to know everything, to not make any mistakes. If I can drive perfectly, why would I go to a driving school? He has no patience and says things like “So you are a bad driver because you have to scan the right side?” He doesn’t give me space to learn, test and improve since he puts his hand on my wheel and on my hands! Very uncomfortable!!! I wouldn’t recommend any novice driver to take lessons with him.

All Star Driving School is definitely a great driving school for G1 drivers! They prepare you with everything you need for your G2 road test and the pricing is more affordable than competitors. The in class lessons aren't too bad and pretty funny especially if you get AJ as the teacher. My in car instructor Hamid was amazing. He taught me everything thing I needed to know to pass the G2 road test. He's really patient, easy to talk to and ensures you are ready for the exam. Worst driving school ever! They say first impressions are everything. Well, you'd think people would show a good first impression by actually showing up to their lesson with their students. I have nothing but good things to say about the in-class portion. It was ultimately fantastic. Loved the teacher, and learned so much. The instructors however, are the complete opposite. They are absolutely the most unprofessional people I've NEVER met. This has been the worst driving school I have ever been to. I am not at all a happy customer. I have gone through two instructors since last year in December and I am still waiting to start my first lesson. It is the end of May. The first instructor I had, I messaged to schedule my first lesson. I never got a response. I went to the school and they had told me they were on vacation (why they would give me this instructor in the first place, I'll never know). I then asked for another instructor. This instructor had scheduled my first lesson on a Friday at 9:30 in the morning. I waited three and a half hours but they never showed up. I decided to message them the next day instead to find out if everything was okay, I never got a reply back. I called but no answer, no call back. Nothing! I went back to the school to complain and ask for yet again another instructor. The person I spoke with told me they would call the instructor and have them get a hold of me. They finally called me and scheduled my first lesson again. This time the lesson was scheduled for 10 in the morning, another no show. I waited an hour, texted the instructor at 11, no reply. For the third and last time I went back to the school to complain and I received another instructor. Over all, this place is a major rip-off. Save your money and take it else where.

AJ was very entertaining and very informative. He made sure everyone knew the rules, and added even more useful information. Also, loved that we got free coffee, really helped me wake up for the morning classes. My driving instructor was Jasmine, and i loved her! She helped me feel comfortable and confident with my driving. Jasmine and I got along very well, so sweet and funny. Overall, Jasmine is a wonderful instructor, and would definitely recommend!!

While I haven't begun the on-road lessons as of this review, I can say with confidence that the in-class lessons are extremely helpful and surprisingly entertaining (if you have AJ as your instructor, anyways). Many topics such as dealing with intersections, insurance, and handling accidents are covered, and generous amounts of general preparation is given for the license tests by the use of videos, which include animated lectures and simulated road exams which are exceptionally helpful. A minor gripe would be the presentation stuff on day 3. It felt shoehorned as time filler, but was still fun and hilarious enough to not detract from the overall experience of the course. Overall, the past week has been enjoyable and has definitely helped. 9/10 (rounded to 5/5 stars)

Switched my driving instructor from Korona to Basir, best decision I ever made. He is by far the best instructor I've had at Allstar Driving School (Richmond Hill). He offers some of the best techniques that can be used on any vehicle, he is patient, friendly, calm, understanding, and also a great teacher who knows how to teach. He is a genuine person and his number one priority is to make sure you execute all basic driving skills without any flaws. I have improved drastically within the first four lessons. Basir taught me as if I was one of his own. His driving skills alone are far beyond ordinary. I would highly recommend Basir. I just passed my G2 road test, and I could not be more thankful for the lessons I had with my instructor Basir. He takes a very systematic and methodical approach to his teaching, which helped a tremendous amount with my learning. From the very first lesson, Basir introduced me to parallel parking, which was my most worrisome area, and outlined a clear and specific formula to perfect it every time. Furthermore, as with all his lessons, he goes into detail about why certain formulas work and how to adjust them if environmental factors change, such as larger or smaller parking spaces. This helped a lot as all his teaching work no matter the situation you are in and no matter the location your examiner takes you. Additionally, Basir was always very professional and punctual with all our lessons, which established a good environment for me to learn in. He's also super friendly and gave me the confidence I needed to pass my G2. I passed the test on the first attempt and my examiner had no critiques or comments except "well done". I definitely recommend taking lessons with Basir and I think all of Basir's students will have no problems passing.

I attended this driving school maybe 5 years ago and my experience was terrible. The classroom instructor was very unprofessional and made a lot of sexist and racist comments during the class. One girl even left half way through the first day and demanded a refund because of how offensive the instructor had been towards her. The instructor I had for actual driving lessons was grumpy, impatient and unreliable. She would sometimes show up a half hour early to appointments or a half hour late. She once had me go through the McDonald's drive through during my lesson because she wanted a snack. After taking additional lessons elsewhere I got my G eventually and have been driving for a few years. Now that I've been on the road for a few years I have come to realize how much important information I DIDN'T learn from All Star. Would NOT recommend this school.

We sent both our kids at different times for in-class and in-car road instruction in the past 4 years. The class instruction was more than adequate, but we had concerns with in-car lessons for both kids. We felt that they were both ill prepared to take the drivers G2 road test and the instructor even had rushed the date for my daughter to take her test -despite that fact we felt that she was not prepared. Both our son and daughter lacked basics such as parallel parking, reverse parking and 3 point turns. They had no experience on highway driving either which was a scary thought. I had to spend extra time to teach them and I was surprised just how ill prepared they really were. Needless to say that both kids failed on their first attempt and I was ok with that, as it concerns their safety and driving is not a contest. When my daughter failed her test, her instructor just advised her to purchase additional lessons. I went to Young Drivers of Canada back in the late 70's and felt confident taking my drivers test-which I passed on the first try. Both kids felt that their instructors were apathetic. I realize that All Star Driving is highly recommended and reviews are excellent, but not all their instructors are good at their job. When it comes to the safety of your kids, make sure you ask all the right questions before sending them to All Star. I would not recommend this school.

This review is long over due. I did my in-class and 10 hours of driving lessons at the Thornhill location. I greatly enjoyed the in-class but my instructor wasn't great. By the end of the lessons with him he started becoming disinterested, and began cancelling lessons an hour before. I decided to look for a new instructor and was teamed up with Saad. He is knowledgeable, patient, and positive. Everything he tells you in his lessons are beneficial on your test day. There are a lot tricks and cues he gives you before your drive test that makes the test day a lot less nerve racking. I highly recommend getting Saad as your instructor. He actually cares about whether or not you pass, and this shows how passionate he is about his job. P.S. I passed my G2 test by the end of my five lessons with Saad.

I highly recommend Basir for your driving instructor. He is always on time and makes sure to use your entire one hour allotted time. Other driving instructors do not value your time, and do not teach you all the necessary road rules and tips in order to feel confident in passing your G2 test. I had Basir as my instructor. He is amazing! He has never yelled at me. He is the most patient, funny, calm, gentle, and caring instructor I have ever had! I feel like the luckiest student! He has always made me feel calm and confident on the roads and before the road test with his positivity. I am not a hands-on learner, I am more of a textbook-visual learner, so Basir's ability to simplify things and his use of his self-created formulas has really helped me! He even created a quick formula for me just one hour before my G test to help me park at Newmarket's drive test centre. I passed on my G test on my first attempt thanks to him! Great place! I would really recommend learning to drive here if you are scared or need really good support. My driving instructor, Basir, is always very calm and collected while in the car teaching. Initially, I was a lot more of a nervous driver and he really helped me gain confidence. He perfectly broke down everything I needed to know for my road test in a way that was incredibly easy to understand and remember, and even taught me how to recover if I messed up a parking job (which is not that difficult with Basir as your teacher!). Basir is also very easy to talk to and is always extremely welcoming, which makes for a very open and easy learning environment. I would 100% suggest requesting to learn from Basir, he has made me feel completely prepared for the road!

He taught me the easiest ways to reverse park, forward park, three point turn and parallel. He aptly prepared me for my driving test, which I am scheduled to take soon. He emphasized what was required to be a safe driver, and that you should drive with moderation. He was a very good driving instructor, and was very adaptable to last minute changes and was extremely friendly, and ensured you never felt stupid when asking him questions or asking him if he could show you the technique again. Absolutely horrible driving school, do not pick. My G2 Test: This was 5 years ago but my driving instructor retired and left Canada, which wasn’t the issue but he left his son, who somehow got approved to help me thru the G2 test day, who had LITERALLY less than 6 months of teaching experience, he gave me zero tips and wasn’t specific enough about his feedback AND I FAILED MY G2. I was a broke student at the time so I had to pay 2x (to recruit instructor and get car use & the Ontario test fee), since I failed. All because they couldn’t pair me with someone else and didn’t replace my instructor. They didn’t warn me they were substituting him with in his son either. This experience haunts me and I didn’t end up doing my next exam until a few years later where I recruited a private driving instructor from Vaughan.

Very unprofessional and rude. Driver (ENAM) scheduled an appointment with me for 11:30am the next morning, I confirmed with him at 11:00am to confirm he will be coming and he said he will be. Made me wait in the hot weather for over an hour. No call, no show. Did not respond to texts, or pick up any of my phone calls. I called for a new driver and it took them over a week to get back to me. Definitely will NOT recommend this driving school. Very unprofessional, lack of mannerism, and overall bad experience. Drivers are also overbooked - you'll be lucky if you get 1 lesson a week.

My son finished 10 classes package last month, in general it’s an ok experience for new drivers and students, the 1 star review is for the fact that they’re not transparent when they advertise everywhere verbally and on their website discounts the new drivers will get from the insurance after they complete the course that’s B.S ,turns out major Insurance Companies have opted out giving these kind of discounts years ago SO IF GETTING A UP TO 40 % DISCOUNT (AS PER ALLSTAR) FROM YOUR POLICY IS THE MAIN REASON TO REGISTER YOUR KIDS HERE CALL AND CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE BEFORE YOU WAIST YOUR 500+ $

He would make jokes and just talk like he wasn’t even my teacher, more like a friend. He never yelled at me, just corrected me nice and calmly which was very good for me. Basir was my instructor and he was such a wonderful teacher. You can tell that he really cares about his students, and wants them to be the best driver possible. Because of Basir, I was able to pass my G2 on my first try. Basir gave lots of helpful advice and tips throughout all my lessons. He constantly strives to come up with new techniques that are simple yet efficient. For example, his techniques for parallel parking and reverse parking are so simple and effective that you barely have to adjust the car. He is also extremely friendly and patient- he always treats you as a friend rather than a student. This in turn helps you feel less nervous and stressed about driving. I had an excellent experience with my G2 driving lessons. My instructor was Kamala in Richmond Hill. I am 8 months pregnant and I stressed the importance of getting my lessons done ASAP. Kamala was so accommodating and scheduled me in quickly despite her already full schedule. Within less than a month I had completed my 10 lessons and today I am proud to say I passed my road test on my first try! After taking 10 lessons from Basir, I can confidently say that he is the ace of All Star Driving. Hands down, the best instructor. The first reason why I think Basir is the best instructor is because of his amazing organization skills. If you book a lesson with him, he will always be on time. Basir will also build a schedule based on the student’s need. For instance, if you want a lesson at 3 am, no problem, he will come at 3 am. Second reason why Basir is a top instructor is the way he teaches. The formulas that he derived from years of experience truly surprised me and far exceeded my expectations. I will not reveal his formula but, I can confidently say that anyone who learn under Basir will master parallel and reverse parking under 3 lessons, because he will take you to a parking lot every single class. I recommend everyone who wants to pass their G2 to join All Star Driving school as it offers top instructors and learning experiences.

Minus (-5*) I am really disappointed with All Star Driving School, With reading reviews i thought it would be good, I took package with Road Test as I don't have Car and I booked the Road Test in Oshawa consulting the Instructor, and a day before my test in evening, when I called him to confirm timing to start next day he said he will not come and said his wife will take me to test, this was really unfair and he also took extra money from me for this $150 apart from $583 paid to the All Star Driving School for Road Test Package. If he would have told me in advance I would have tried to re-schedule the test, but he said he have two other students and he will take them to Brampton and I am not important to him, this is really injustice he should have not taken money for this hopeless service As a result I have failed in the Test as the Car was different in which I practiced and she was not aware about the Test Route as well to practice in that area. I think Owner of Driving school should look into this and they should not loot peoples hard earned money this way, I don't know how this reviews will be taken seriously by owner, but I would recommend other people that please don't waste your money with All Star Driving School... Hope some people would be helped with this review and join other Driving School and get there G/G2 Licenses

I was lucky to have Basir as my instructor. Just after a few lessons with his help I was able to drive with confidence. He is friendly and professional. While I'm driving he corrects me and gives me helpful tips to ensure I can suceed on not only my road test but in the lifelong skill of driving safely. He is very knowledgeable and uses his own techniques and formulas that are easy to follow and learn to effectively teach parking and how to adjust your parking. Overall, if there were more stars, I would give it to him and I definitely recommend him as an instructor.

As a shy kid myself, AJ really made this class pass my expectations, as he didn't put any real pressure on the students and also ensured that those who were shy could still gain the most out of the classes by finding him during breaks or whenever we felt comfortable to. Had a great time with all star, the instructors are very nice and friendly but at the same time teach at a good pace for students to follow along with all the small details that other places may miss. Definitely would recommend! For the driving section, I had Basir as my instructor. Throughout the 10 hours lesson, he made sure I was ready for my road test. He was always on time and use the full complete hour to teach. I would highly recommend Basir as your driving instructor!
