I got more than my money's worth from Access. Jim was s VERY thorough driver, and by the time we had finished lessons, I was confident enough to drive on the highway. He did not just focus on teaching me the technicalities, but also helped in building up my confidence, and making me relaxed for the test. I passed my full G the very first time. Very disappointing, to say the least. They are very quick to take your money, and get the academic portion completed, however getting your actual 10 hours of driving time was like pulling teeth. The "instructor", while instructing is scheduling other students on his phone, spending time at Tim Hortons drive through etc. when he showed up. They cancelled 4 times at short notice, which was a pain as we lived outside of town and had to drive in. There are better schools out there and regret ever contacting Access. I tried to talk and explain but they were constantly rude and hung up the phone on us. Thankfully it is finally done. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!

I hired Access driving for my G road test, and had a great experience. I did not do the in-class component, since I have done that in the past for my G1 elsewhere. Jim was my driving instructor (he is also the owner of Access driving), and he not only helped me get confident in my highway driving, but also pointed out other ways I could drive safely. The lessons were a good balance of how to do well on the test and how to be a good driver overall, which was important to me. Jim's many years of experience are evident in that he knows how to explain different concepts at a level appropriate to the student, and he knows common problems that novice drivers experience and how to address them. Jim was accommodating with my busy and irregular schedule, which I really appreciated. I do recommend that if you are booking with him, you start planning in advance, since he is quite busy. The more time you give yourself before the test, the more flexible the scheduling is. In fact, I would contact Jim before you schedule your road test, and plan out the driving dates with him (that way you can assure that you book your test when he is available, since you may want to do a warm up drive with him before the test). In my case, I contacted Jim about 5 weeks prior to when I wanted to do the test, and we were able to schedule the test at a time that was convenient for me, and fit all of my lessons in the 3 weeks prior to the test date. We were also able to make some small scheduling adjustments closer to the time of the test. Thank you for the experience, Jim. I am happy to recommend you to my friends, and I will be coming back to learn some winter driving strategies from you.

I just finished and passed the course at Access, I was very nervous to start as I've been in a accident when I was younger. The in classroom part was Great and Jim the instructor knew how to answer any question . The in car was just amazing - I was taught everything I needed to know and more, we went on the 401 and at first was very nervous, I can't believe how comfortably I felt . I want to say thank you for helping me with my fear of driving. I found that Jim went beyond what is needed to pass and felt confident by the time my lessons were over. After getting referred and highly praised by a friend, I decided to take classes from Bosaina and was surprised at how amazing instructor she turned out to be. I haven't driven a car in a long time and was really nervous for my Drive Test but just 2 classes from her and I passed my Drive Test in the first go. She really makes you feel comfortable, boosts your confidence and explains everything about the road and rules in the perfect manner. She will help you build habits on how a car is supposed to be driven. I highly recommend Bosaina to everyone going for their Drive Test.

What a great experience going to Access! Right from the start I felt comfortable and learnt a lot from taking drivers ed. It was very convenient being picked up for my driving lessons . I never had an issue scheduling my lessons. I was in the guys class who wrote crap about the school and was told by friends they are hard to deal with. Access did their best to accommodate everyone. I work for the public, so I know. I say hats off to Great teaching . Thank you Access for making my experience a good one.

If I could go back in time where I was looking for driving schools in Kingston, I would have definitely chosen Access Driving school again and again. I highly recommend this school to everyone! As for the previous review, let me explain. I was looking for a driving school for my girlfriend. This is why the review was in her name, and not in mine, I was on her phone. I came on here to see if anything had changed since I attended those 3 driving lessons that I had to chase for. After reading the reviews it becomes very clear to me that there is a big difference between 1, and 5 stars. Unfortunately in this situation, the people who rated 1 star are people who actually review other things quite frequently. I'm not saying you can't have a good experience, I'm saying from my experience, and from these reviews it's clear to me that this company hasn't changed since I've used it ~2 years ago. If you are a University Student in Kingston and need to get your G while away from home, but don't have a car, this is the place to do it! I signed my son up, they were very accommodating time wise, and allowed for payment either over the phone with a credit card, or in person with the instructor with debit. Matt was my son's instructor and he was fantastic. He took him on the exact route that the test would take, and was very relaxed which is a plus when snow storms blow into Kingston while on the highway at sunset...He passed, and has now forwarded Matt and Access Drivings info to everyone he knows who needs to complete their G, but doesn't have access to a car. *and the price was very reasonable!! $146 for two hours of training plus the car for the test.

Matt is AMAZING! He was very helpful and responsive to my inquiries. I did a two hour lesson before my test and his energy put me at ease right away. He gave me confidence and taught me everything I needed to know to ace the test. He even offered to do an extra half hour with the car I would be doing the test in. Hi, I passed my G2 test today in first attempt and my instructor was Bosaina. I never drove car but i took lessons from her and within few lessons,I learnt very well and quickly. I finally became fed up with the issues I was having reguarding how far apart my lessons were and expressed such to Jim he was very hard to speak with regarding that and eventually decided he wanted to discuss it with my mother in phone call with my mother that occurred Jim explained in a very rude and condescending tone how much a nervous driver I was and he and another driving instructor wouldn't want anyone to get into a car with me because of it he belittled his own student! instead of trying to make matters better or trying to figure out a way that we could potentially get lessons to become closer together he got upset and told me that he would no longer drive with me and I needed to come in for a FULL refund this was on a Friday on the Monday that we came in to receive a refund minutes before we arrive to his office he informed us that we couldn't come until 12:30 even though his buisness hours state he's open at 11 I communicated this to him and told him we don't have time to come back during the day because we were leaving town and he did not express on Friday that he didn't want us coming in until 12:30 when we got there his wife was at the desk and when we entered the office i told her who i was and that "i was here for my refund" her response was a very aggressive "i know what your here for and i just wanted to say thanks for the review and you know what you wrote isnt true..." my mother interuppted saying "were not here for this were here for her refund" as it was obvious she was mad at my mothers review left on FB from there my FULL refund suddenly was only 275$ out of the 660$ paid and we could only have it if we sat and listened without interruption to her call me and my mother every name in the primarily " dumb or stupid" in fact at one point she questioned what my mom did for a living which was a nurse she then went on a tyrade saying that SHE who works as what appears to be a secretary at the driving school is higher than a 6 year tenure nurse in both intelligence & in life and that nurses are a bottom of the barrel ???? she then attacked my mothers parenting skills when i got upset she would be little my mother who worked hard to get where she is. All while this is occuring she changes the amount im being refunded every few moments from 0$ to 270$ to 0$ then 260$ then 0$ then 225$ in the end 220$ we ended up in that office for close to an hour because she REFUSED to just write the cheque without giving a speech on us as people Jim whom she called twice during an in car with another student changed the refund amount a few times also "you mess with my wife you face the consequences" she also egged me on to "come across the desk and ask for my refund again" and stood up out of her chair, she had wrote down the refund calculations on a scrap piece of paper & when my mom picked it up she tore it away and ripped it up and said " youve destroyed my work" because she didnt want us having evidence of her changing the price...she also called the cops & claimed we were shooting things at her such as a phone dropped on her desk after the 2nd time her husband hung up on us, & requested someone come to remove us from the office as we were threatening her, i recorded the call which she forced me to delete or no $$ and sat down with my mom to wait for police, she stated " i cant wait for them to come they are gonna shoot you 2 out of here and your gonna have a record forever and you cant go to college and your mom cant work" she smiled the whole time saying that at this point we have BEGGED to just write a cheque so we can leave we dont need need lectures on life she ripped up the cheque because we argued with her that it should be in full as promised and for recording her... i could go on forever about her childish behaviour... In short a cop came thought she was a joke as a person and got us 220$ back now jim is calling and texting to yell some more as i write this because he doesnt like that im telling the truth about his buisness.. #sorrynotsorry oh and she actually wrote on the cheque 'FULL REFUND' like a child ????

I went to Access during the summer with some of my friends, we found that Jim was very interesting and super knowledgeable about what he spoke about. We all absolutely loved all his stories!! I highly recommend this school! The driving portion was with ease, I learnt a lot and I'm no longer nervous when I drive! 5 stars Access!

Jim taught both our children to drive. He showed great calm and patience and trained them well. My son passed with flying colours on his first attempt. After my daughter's lessons were complete but before she took her road test - a span of a few months as she was nervous - it was Jim who called and said "Let's do this! My test date was nearing and I wasn’t able to get hold of a good instructor. My driving changed a whole lot after I took lessons from Bosaina. She gives you an actual drive test-like experience with her way of teaching and giving instructions. No matter who you are, she will be able to teach you because that’s how good she is, with her unique way of teaching , with all the MTO rules and practising exercises like 3 point turns and parallel parking. I highly recommend her as she is brilliant with her work.

Prior to contacting access drivers school, I was at a different institute in Kingston. I felt very rushed, as if my skills to survive the road werent values. I failed my G2 test unwilling to realize I wasnt properly ready for it. Sherry took me in with a smile, welcoming attitude, and taught me properly. I recommend Access to absolutely anybody. I have yet to retake my G2 test, but I can say I am more than confident now that I have to proper tools to pass. THANK YOU ACCESS!!

After 30 years out of the country, I was not able to renew my old licence. Jim encouraged me to get it back. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was away for quite a while. If I could leave a zero star review I would. Noone ever answers the phone, the voicemail outright says that they don't answer messages, emails get sent back as undeliverable. The online version of the course freezes continuously, is full of glitches and makes it so some sections can't be completed. I have tried multiple times to get my money back but I my requests keep being ignored.

my son completed the online course portion...has not heard anything about in car training.....phone calls to their office...no one ever there to answer...no answering machine om can't leave any messages.....emails to the owner go un-replied to........feeling completely ripped off.

The in-car was amazing , I was so scared at first because I have never driven before , the simple tricks Jim showed me made everything easier. thanks so much Jim for this awesome experience "...Don't get fooled by cheaper prices , do your homework and look around..." ..my brother went somewhere else and was so disappointed.

After reading the review from Brooklyn It just caught me off guard, it sounded quite unrealistic. My two children who also went to access driving school had a great experience. I would highly recommend Access driving school to anyone needing a drivers license. I find Access does care about the future of their new drivers. Highly recommended!!!!

Access driving is hands down amazing! One of the best instructors ever. She goes over everything slowly and makes sure you get it right until she moves ahead. Is super sweer and explains everything really nicely! Also, has super amazing and easy tricks for parrarell parking and reverse parking! 10/10 would recommend!!

Great Experience. Bosaina was super helpful, nice and an amazing instructor. She is so wonderful, punctual, flexible with schedule and makes you feel so confident, couldn’t have passed my test in first attempt without her help. Also, had one final lesson with maryam right before my test, she was amazing as well!!

I had Maryam as a driver instructor for my G2 test (which was yesterday and which I passed at my first attempt!) Thanks to Maryam!! I learnt a LOT from her (I was a total beginner when I first started learning driving) and also enjoyed working with her a lot. She is very professional, punctual, and she genuinely cares about her students test success and safety. She didn’t only prepare me for the test but also helped me develop defensive driving skills for even after the test.
