Had Donna as my Instructor and she was absolutely amazing, she was fun to talk to and it was just overall a good vibe in the car at all times... even if it got a little stressful. She was always on time and always explained things thoroughly to make sure that I understood. I ended up passing my G2 test, so I recommend this place to everyone as they will defiantly make you a better and safer driving along with it just being a nice place with good people!

I had a pre-arranged date for my G2 drivetest. On that day I wanted to have a practice route before the test and booked it with another academy. They didn't show up on time so I had to find a solution quickly. Luckily Aapex is just at next door of the drive test centre. They were so helpful, kind and they had such a warm welcome! They immidiately found an instructor named Marilyn (sorry if wrong spelling) who were such a lovely person and so helpful! She was there in 15 minutes!!! Wish I had chose these guys previously. I have passed the G2 and G already, but if there would be a "next time", I would definitely do the same and I will recommend them for everyone. The 2 lady at the reception and Marilyn to be an instructor. Thank you again for your kindness and focusing on the solution and help!!!! I will never ever forget the place and you guys, made a life-time memory!!!!

I had Dan for all my in class lessons; he was great. I wish I had someone like him for my in car lessons. I started with Stimit as my driving instructor. He was really impatient and would easily get frustrated. He lacked the encouragement and positive demeanour necessary for teaching young people how to drive. I called and asked to switch instructors. I was then assigned to Tammy. She was alright. She spent most of the lesson on her phone; however, she did a good job teaching me the basics in things like parallel parking, uphill/downhill parking, and 3-point turns. My biggest issue with her was her inability to show up on time. She would arrive 15 minutes late to a 2 hour lesson and then drop me off 15 minutes early. I would only get 75% of my scheduled lesson. When I mentioned this to her, she would try to deny it. Due to the coronavirus shutdowns, my test was delayed. Now, 8 months later, I noticed that Tammy did not instil necessary driving habits into me like others did to my brother or sister when they took Aapex. Habits like blind spot checking when turning, driving in the centre of the road/not accidentally straying into other lanes, etc, were never perfected, as she never noticed or said them. As a result, I am struggling to implement those into my driving now, not when I had the certified instructor.

One of the quizzes for the home links booklet is completely full of pop ups and spam, I tried it on two devices and to try and fill it out all I got was “you have one a free Samsung s7” “you have one extra spins on our online casino”. Gross that you can charge people hundreds of dollars for a course and have a booklet full of typos and links on your website for said booklets to fill out these quizzes that are full of unclosable pop ups and spam. I wonder if you guys get paid for clicks, this is gross

As someone who has struggled with confidence behind the wheel no matter the practice time AAPEX has given me the ability and confidence needed to get my licence. Their customer service was amazing, fast, and friendly. While I only had one instructor I couldn't have been more pleased. Compassionate, Caring, Knowledgeable, and completely literate in the rules of the road; something many parents just can't teach. Regardless of your experience they will help you develop the skills needed to confidently get your licence.

I would like to say “Thank you!” to AAPEX!!! I really enjoyed my online classes with Melissa, she is great! It’s very convenient to study from home! Thanks Dan for making our classes fun! Also, my driving classes were excellent! Even though, I had different instructors, Simon was the perfect coach and mentor for me! He has the unique ability to explain things properly, so you can actually understand and do it right. He is making the roads safer by teaching his students (!) and we will keep all these advices forever and apply on practice every day. I also booked a G2 prep and found it extremely helpful! Simon gave me many tips on how to succeed on the test, and I am 95% of his students who successfully passed and got the license from the 1st trial. He is very patient and answered all my questions. I am thankful for all the confidence on my test and for my driving skills! Thank you again!

I took the G Road Test Prep just beginning of this week, and had Sandra as my instructor. Sandra is very experienced and professional, patient, and fun. She gave me great advice, tips and tricks on how to perform a G road test. More importantly, Sandra helped me feel very comfortable and confident behind the wheel. Customer service was also excellent, especially when it comes to last minute change. I passed my test with no issues. My overall experience with Aapex was great. Would not recommend, after my brother paid the full price, they stopped contacting him about his rescheduling his incars when his in-car instructor called to cancel because he was sick and they did not confirm dates with my brother as he has his own busy schedule with school and basketball. ALSO he would tell me his in-car instructor would be on his phone during their in-cars. Waste of money and time for him. They have not reached out to my brother to reschedule his in-cars and he has been leaving messages. Would not recommend to anyone to pay the full price right away as it seems its a money grab nowadays.

I had a great experience with the Academy. Paul made a rather boring class quite enjoyable, and I learned quite a bit more than I had anticipated. The in car lessons were very enjoyable, Doug was (almost) always early or on time, and was ready to go. I learned a lot from the lessons, including the habit of actually using my mirrors. Doug was very friendly, and welcoming, and I always felt like I was just driving with a friend. I highly recommend Doug as an instructor!

Both my boyfriend and I went through aapex. I went to this school a few years back and I had wonderful customer service. My teacher was Darlene and she was wonderful. She was very thorough and explained everything to our class and if we didn't understand something she would make sure we did. I also would recommend this school to anyone. My daughter Samantha and I recently completed the drivers education course at Aapex. The entire experience from the friendliness of the office staff to the classroom instruction to the in car instruction was first rate. Thorough, proffesional, and tremendously focused. Both my daughter and I had little to no experience behind the wheel of a car and yet after completing the course both of us were able to easily pass our road tests and obtain our class G2 certification. We would like to especially center out our in car instructor Ami who was simply the most amazing, patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and comprehensive instructor we could possibly imagine. Her passion for her job and the genuine interest and concern she displays for the success of her students puts her in a whole other class. I know she would say it was all us but without her remarkable guidance I don't think we would have achieved the results we did in our government road tests. Ami is a tremendous asset to the company and her proffesion and we owe her a deep debt of gratitude. Thank you Ami. Some may feel the price of the program, approx. $700, not including rental of a company car to use on the road test, to be a little steep, but I completely disagree. When you take into account the number of hours of in class instruction, combined with the number of in car hours along with overhead of deploying and maintaining a large fleet of vehicles all combined with the high level of professionalism and thoroughness of the program, the reality is that Aapex offers an incredible level of value for the dollar. I cannot recommend Aapex highly enough. If I could rate them six stars I would.

I started my driving lessons late July After I completed the in-class lessons before Covid. I told my instructor to book my G2 test as soon as possible on my First driving lesson. After a couple lessons, he tells me that he cannot book me my G2 test until I finish my driving lessons since they were having technical issues. But once I finished my driving lessons I was told that they were booked until February next year. I’m frustrated because I was given excuses to why they couldn’t book me when I requested them to book me. Now I have to wait 6 months to get my G2 test for my license??

So far with Aapex Driving Academy I have had a great time with the valuable information learned and the instructors who taught it. I had Dan as my in class instructor which was great because he’s a funny guy who keeps our attention on the lesson while making sure we don’t get bored. For my car instructor I don’t think Aapex could have done better job then picking Simon to be an instructor. Simon has helped boost my confidence higher than I thought possible for me while insuring we both get home safe. The lessons flew by quickly and it is going to be sad when me and him part ways for good. I highly recommend that you ask for Simon to be your instructor as I don’t think anyone could do a better job (no offence to the other drivers). Simon is early to every lesson and is very thorough his lessons. He has gone above and beyond to insure that I am a safe and responsible driver, so thank you to him and Aapex.

Did the 5 private driving lessons to prepare me for my g2 test. My instructor was David and he was awesome . Very informative and helped me learn parallel park, 3 point turn everything you need to know for your drive test. I successfully passed my road test today thanks to his help! You can also rent there car and get a hour of driving prior to your test which is super helpful . Definitely recommend aapex and instructor David to anyone who needs help with driving.

Not impressed. My daughter paid for this course from her own funds. She took her G2 and passed and was informed that because the computers were down she would have to wait to get her license until computers were up but that she would get her new license in the mail. Computer was to be updated next day. Now a year later and still not in the computer. Very very disappointed as apex told her they would take care of it.

My experience with this school is not good. The in class time was very helpful, but the behind wheels classes weren’t as helpful as it should be.Hidie , the instructor, was so rude,80% from the time was texting on her cell phone, and she was dealing so badly.

In class sessions were very fun and interactive. The instructor Paul did a superb job at teaching the class. In car lessons were also fantastic, Doug did an extraordinary job at explaining and teaching all things neccessary for a driver to go out into the real world of driving. The communication is also tremendous, the secretary is very polite and understanding. This place is definetly worth taking courses from for your driving needs.

(Posting from my gf's account) I attended Aapex weekend courses with Paul as the in-class instructor for two weekends starting in November and ending in December. Paul was great, was funny and really knew his stuff answering any questions the student's had. My in-car instructor was Bart (Karaoke Bart AKA W.P.) He was a great instructor but an even better vocal coach. He can sing higher than anyone I've ever heard and can hit notes you can only dream of being able to hit. Karaoke Bart prepped me for my G2 road test and not only did I pass on the first try with almost no marks off, I could sing better too. He knows his stuff and has been doing this as long as Paul has been alive (seriously). I very very strongly suggest you request Bart as your in-car instructor and bring up this review, he will know it means you want A+++ performances (seriously, bring this review up). Excellent voice, good instructor, and an even better story teller. Ask him about his childhood growing up on the snowy mountains in Europe. It's a story I'll never forget - incredibly encouraging, inspiring, heart-melting, full of reconciliation and hope. I will be paying for another performance and preparation for my G in a year from now and I am looking forward to it. Really though, request Bart and bring this review up.

my two sons recently went through their driver training with Aapex and the experience was exceptional. Everyone in this company gives outstanding customer service . They are friendly and helpful. They made the experience for my boys very enjoyable. As a parent you think you can teach your child to drive, but many rules of the road have changed, so save yourself the aggregation and hire Aapex to teach your kids. Worth every penny!!!

Don't waste your time with this place. And if you do, be smart and don't pay up front for all your lessons. Otherwise, you have to deal with mandatory "cancellation fees" if you try to reschedule. The reason I had to sit down and write this review: if you try to ask for a refund on lessons you paid for upfront but didn't take, you're not getting your money back! (which has been my personal experience so far trying to get money I stupidly paid up front for lessons I couldn't take due to a health issue). Here's the long story: A little over a month ago (July 27th), I called asking for a refund on the last few lessons I couldn't do due to some health issues (really the joke is on me for paying for all the lessons up front. I hope this hard-earned lesson helps other young and naive people make a better decision while they research different driving schools). ANYWAY, after 3 weeks passed and I saw no signs of the cheque anywhere, I called again to ask what's going on. It turns out, they hadn't even sent it! I was promised it would be done that very same day I called. Fast forward to a week after. Again, no signs of the cheque so I called again. At this point, I already know I'm just wasting my time and I'm never going to see my money. I was told my the envelope was "returned by Canada Post" because my postal code "was wrong." Once again, they promised to send it ASAP. A week later (yesterday) I called again. Honestly at this point I'm just calling to see what ridiculous excuses they come up with on the other end of the line, I've just accepted I got ripped off. The customer service rep didn't even bother to talk to me and just shot me off to a different line (without telling me who she was forwarding me to). Found out it was the bookkeeper. She said the cheque was ready to go and it just needed to be signed by the manager who still hadn't come in that day. A puzzling addition to this saga, since the cheque was supposed to have been sent after I gave them the right postal code, you know, a week earlier. The bookkeeper said she could return the money straight to the credit card I used to pay for the lessons. I agreed. She said she'd get to it right away and I'd get the e-receipt soon. Of course, I didn't get any such refund, or the email, and I know I'm never going to see that money again. All I can do is warn anyone and everyone considering to take lessons from this scammy, backwater mom-and-pop disaster that calls itself a business! Just go to Young Drivers and save yourself the disrespect and the headache of dealing with these people. P.S.: I'm looking forward to what the next excuse will be next week, and the week after that and so on, forever until we all grow old and gray and sad and bitter. My guesses for the next lineup of excuses are: -The office dog ate my cheque -The manager had a sudden bout of retrograde amnesia and forgot his name and the concept of cheques so legally he couldn't sign it -The bookkeeper accidentally used the cheque as a cracker for her Tim Hortons chilli and she ate it anyway because it probably adds flavor and spice to an otherwise bland lunch -The mailman slipped and dropped my cheque, and only my cheque, over Niagara Falls -Every time they try to write my cheque their pens run out of ink -Someone mistook it for a scrap of paper and doodled the peeing Calvin so the piss lands right on my name -Someone accidentally blew their nose with it, used it as an ashtray, or as toilet paper -The cheque had a midlife crisis and had to take some time off to "work through some stuff" and "find itself". It gets a divorce, goes to Costa Rica, starts dating a 20 year old, buys a Corvette, gets a tattoo of a giant cobra on its back and calls its teenaged sons who hate him "dude" and "bro".

Aapex driving academy is the best to go to, don't think twice about using them or not. Had Marlene as my instructor(she is a natural) and she made learning the road rules so easy I always remember her instructions. I passed my drive test (yipeeeee!!) My driving instructor was Richard, and I guess I was lucky. I was worried about who will I end up with, being a teacher myself makes it hard to not be with a good teacher. Richard has qualities that make any learner feel at ease and supported. He guides you with confidence that learners' feel and act upon. He adapts his style to your level and abilities and he does what you need as a learner not what should be just done which really promotes your learning. He explains rules well and with great clarity and practicality. I thought my learning hours were fully useful and fulfilling and left me feeling content as a customer. APPEX has an added value having Richard there. Thank you Richard

Paid 50 bucks for a refresher for my daughter before road test. Said they sat there for 10 minutes while the instructor filled out the paper at the side of the road instead of driving. Only practiced the needed skills 3 times each. Not impressed would never use this place again.

Marlene was brilliant in the instruction she gave my wife Gemma, which culminated in Gemma, at the age of 55, passing her class G road test on her first attempt two days ago in difficult weather conditions. Passing the first time is more important than ever because the long lead time for booking road tests and the threat of cancellations arising from COVID restrictions mean that the next opportunity for a road test is quite a long time away in the event of not passing. Gemma’s situation is somewhat unusual in that she only began driving a few years ago in her early fifties. She passed her G2 road test with another driving school but because of circumstances beyond her control, she was unable to continue with them and build the experience necessary to prepare for her G road test. Her situation was further complicated by the lockdown and the backlog it created for driving schools and road test bookings. Marlene worked out a programme with us to give Gemma regular instruction over several months to get her ready for her G road test. Over many lessons, she was unfailingly punctual and patient. She kept us fully and honestly informed of Gemma’s progress. She proved to be well-organized and completely reliable. I would also like to note that I liked dealing with Aapex and found them very business-like and well-organized. Jodie, who manages Marlene’s appointments, was easy to reach, returned calls promptly when I was unable to speak to her immediately and handled all our calls efficiently and without error. The student portal is a great feature and makes it easy to track administrative matters like lesson appointments, confirming times, billings, payments, etc. I realize this review is quite lengthy and I hope it doesn’t get tl;dr, but I wanted to express our thanks to Marlene and Aapex for being there for us at a critical time. The pandemic has meant that a full driver’s licence is more important than ever in general and it’s particularly so for us. We cannot thank Marlene enough for bringing Gemma to this achievement.

I did the 5 private driving lessons with Leslie and she was awesome ! Very helpful and informative, super sweet lady. You can rent cars if you don’t have one of your own for your drive test so I rented my instructors car to use for the test, you also get a hour of driving prior to your test and they drive you home. But Leslie really helped me prepare for my test and thanks to her I have my g2 ! Really recommend aapex they are great .

Exceptional driving school, I have taken this driving school when I was 16 years old and the skills that I have learned stick with me years later. All of my friends have taken Aapex and they have had such a great experience with the in class teacher and instructors. :) I would recommend this driving academy to everyone

When I enrolled in their program, they just told me that 20 hours in-class sessions plus 10-hours in car will get me the G2 license, but they didn't tell me that I need to find someone else to practise with me 20 hours more after the in car sessions. If anyone could do the job as a driving instructor, why do we need this driving school?

TERRIBLE PLACE! They will take your money and will not provide you with the service. The company since July 30, 2021, just say that they are checking the issue and will refund me. Almost 20 days! Not only I missed the classes and the car rental, but they keep my money. I file a complain on the BBB and also Ontario Consumer Protection. NEVER GO THERE!

Just a waste of money and time. When I cancel the class 2 -3 hours early at that time they said it’s fine when the class time passes they texted me by saying I have to pay cancellation fee. But I never mentioned anything when there instructors cancel my class 5 minutes before my lesson. Such a awful experience. Will never recommend anybody to Aapex .

Andrew was extremely professional and very knowledgeable would recommend him to anyone looking to learn the fundamentals of driving and his tips of the g2 test is the reason I passed!
