We had a successful and positive experience with MyChosen Driving School and with Andre specifically. As a parent I appreciated the great communication and excellent written evaluations after every session. This gave us great focus for our own practice time. We found Andre to be professional, friendly and systematic with his approach to teaching and this led to a first time attempt and pass for our child. You’ll be happy with this school.

Andre is probably one of the most patient and understanding teachers there is. Although I have only had 5 lessons with him, I can tell that he is experienced and extremely professional. I also enjoyed my lessons which weren’t just rigid curriculum but a fun experience. I loved the fact that he went into detail on every maneuver and encouraged me to do better even when I forgot sometimes. I also find that his teaching is very realistic and very logical and step-by-step and easy to remember. Through his teachings, I was able to pass my N on my first try with flying colors! Would highly recommend you chose him as your driving instructor!

I had an educational and amazing time at this driving school, specifically with Andre. He is a fantastic instructor, and I really liked his teaching style. We went over the lessons one by one, and he answered all of my questions until I understood everything. At the end of each lesson I had the opportunity to reflect upon myself with a summary of the lesson from the instructor. Thankfully I passed my class 5 road test the first time :) Andre not only assisted me in passing my test, but also in becoming a safe driver on the road!

Andre is not only the best driving instructor I’ve ever had, but the best TEACHER I’ve ever had up to this point in my life. Try a lesson for yourself and you will see that I am not exaggerating. 1) Philosophy - The school’s philosophy is to teach people how to be a defensive driver and drive safe FOR LIFE, not just to pass a test. Andre takes his student to various environments and not just the ICBC area as some driving schools do. I’ve gotten exposure to highways, downtown, “rural” areas with no controlled intersections, Victoria’s most hazardous intersections, rush hours…etc. This gives me a lot of confidence as a beginner driver when I drive on my own as I have already become familiar with all sorts of circumstances. 2) Dedication - I have monocular vision and cannot see with one eye. Naturally, I am weak in depth perception and peripheral vision. Andre spent 2 hours of his own time driving with an eye patch covering one eye to fully understand my challenges and gave additional guidance catered to my needs. I am very touched by his dedicated and responsible approach to teaching. 3) Well-structured Lessons - All lessons are well structured, and there is a written commentary and checklist provided after every lesson that highlights what the student needs to reflect and improve on which I find extremely helpful as it provides maximum clarity and transparency. 4) Professionalism - I’ve had instructors in the past that were very unprofessional, ask personal questions and spend the lesson being chatty about topics irrelevant to the driving. Andre makes good use of every minute and teaches me everything I need to know to drive safely. He is very calm and patient, and acts like a coach. Everybody makes mistakes as a beginner, and I appreciate that he gives positive encouragement and rational solutions to correct mistakes so that the student is always comfortable, at ease and in the right mindset. Conclusion (TL;DR): I love learning from Andre, and I thoroughly enjoy every lesson because I know every minute is well spent in preparing me to be an excellent driver for life. I am forever grateful for his guidance, understanding and patience. : )

Very good driving school! Andre was very accommodating and professional. I joined with some pretty unrealistic goals and was very pleased to have gotten my N on the first try. He explained thing things so that they made sense and I feel like a better driver and more confident after taken lessons with My Chosen Driving School.
