This driving school helped me get over serious anxiety about driving which I had for the last 20 years. The instructors calm casual vibe helped me to focus and relax a little behind the wheel which I needed. I passed my test on the first try and now I’m a confident safe driver. I highly recommend this driving school to anyone, young or old, weather you’re new in the drivers seat or have had trouble passing tests in the past.

Very professional, very calm. Knows his stuff!!!!. Chris was always very accommodating, going out of his way to meet our busy schedule. With my children all taking lessons from instructors over the years this is hands down the best instructor out there. Chris has away of talking to his students so they become confident calm drivers. Highly recommended!!! I had less than 1-year driving experience in Australia, where people drive on the other side. So I was so nervous taking my first driving lesson in Winnipeg. I was looking for a professional and friendly teacher, then my friend introduced Chris to me. Obviously, Chris is really good at teaching, and he cares of his students. He will tell you not only everything you need to know for the road test, but also notice you some unexpected and dangerous situations and how to handle it. I had about 5 lessons with him before the road test in January. Then I passed in my first try with only 1 mistake by following his instructions plus a little lucky. By the way, Chris is very humorous, and he really makes you feel comfortable during all your lessons. Thank you a lot for all experiences, Chris!

Honest, respectful, professional and clam. He is always on time to pick me up, and is organized and well-prepared. He has a big document folder which shows rules and instructions whenever you need them. He has good communication skills which make everything clear and easy to understand. He is patient, especially if you are not an English native speaker. One thing I really appreciate is that unlike other driving trainers, Chris doesn't yell at me or blame me or criticize me, instead, he gives me positive feedback and encourage me which boost my confidence.

Amazing teacher! I contacted Chris to book a crash training for my wife who was taking her road test for the first time within 72 hours. We were able to find a 2 hour slot and he was very professional in understanding her strengths and weaknesses. She took another quick class one hour before the test and took the test... boom.. she passed with just 3 minor errors! It is rare to find someone with so much knowledge and patience to take on such a challenge and deliver! That is exactly what Chris did!! Thank you Phoenix driving school. Before Chris, I had another instructor that is totally opposite of him, who is yelling at me and wasted my money for nothing, i haven’t learn anything from him. But When I met Chris he is an amazing driving instructor! His calm personality and good humor makes you feel at ease immediately in his lessons. I cannot say enough good things about Chris. His parallel parking strategy is down to a science. Chris not only taught me skills to pass a road test, but skills on defensive driving and being a good driver all around. As a woman, I felt totally confident, comfortable, and safe in the car with Chris. [GREAT EXPERIENCE EVER] Chris is a professional, experienced and responsible instructor. Moreover, I am always extremely comfortable studying with him who is very fun and friendly. As a newcomer, I have really thought that I could not adapt quickly to the driving culture in Canada until I met him. He is a really good teacher with a lot of driving experience and his stories won't make you boring. Especially, my English is quite new, but I don't know why we could communicate well and had a great experience.(I still laugh out loud when I remember those moments) Haha. I guess I got a real friend rather than an instructor. Once again, I would like to say thank you, Chis for everything, you helped me get a 5-class driving license (5F) in few weeks learning, and taught me a lot in driving and life. Come and learn with him someone if you want a great teacher, especially newcomer! He's the best choice for you! Trust me!

The best driving instructor! He's very chill, has many great tips and tricks on road tests, defensive driving and the rules on the road. His lesson on parallel parking is the best method that I have been taught and it is really easy to remember. It's very clear the first day of your driving lesson with him that he knows how to make people feel comfortable and safe driving for the first time or the first time in a while. He immediately catches the frequent bad habits you have driving or the frequent mistakes that you do and works with you to easily fix it. Great teacher! Very easy going stress free driving lessons. Chris will figure out what you are struggling with in driving and correct it. Parallel parking is a breeze with the way Chris teaches it! It will be the least of your worries on your road test. Booking a lesson days before your road test to refresh all the rules of the road is a great suggestion Chris will make and believe me it makes a difference for your road test!

I came back from Japan after 14 years living abroad and had to take a retest. I'd grown accustomed to driving abroad (Japan has their own set of rules outside of the whole 'driving on the other side of the road' thing) and felt that a lesson or two to re-familiarize myself with Canadian rules would be worth it. Boy was it ever. Chris was knowledgeable about those differences and where foreign drivers frequently ran into difficulties with our road tests. He kindly explained those things while we took the lesson, making notes on what I'd likely learned over in Japan and then thoughtfully explained how it was different. I took the test, kept Chris's advice in mind, and passed it on the first try. I’ve always been very anxious driving and I never felt safe. However, with Chris I felt really comfortable driving. He really knows how to work with anxious drivers and he always makes sure to keep you positive about your driving. He is such an amazing and knowledgeable instructor. I don’t think I would have been able to pass my road test on the first try without him. I cannot recommend him enough so worth it!

I passed my road test yesterday with the help of phoenix driving school. Chris was very patient and understanding, explains stuff clearly. i am a very anxious driver and gets distracted very easily. But i passed! Every lesson was fun and encouraging. You will definitely nail your parallel parking if you get him as an instructor. He has a way in making parallel parking so easy. I would highly recommend him specially to anxious drivers like me! 100% worth your money :)
