My daughter took classes here and did not find that the instructors were very helpful. The first time she did an in car class the instructor repeatedly told her she was doing things wrong but didn't give her any feedback as to what she was doing wrong or how to make improvements. I also know other individuals who have had similarly negative experiences with this school. I would not recommend them.

I was unable to complete my driver's ed that I had paid for as Noni would cancel and it would take forever to get it rescheduled as she wouldn't call us back (the one time I got all the way into town and she never even showed as she cancelled without even telling us). She would tell me to do something and when I did it she would yell and say not to do it. Also for several of my in car sessions she would be on her phone the entire time.

I am so happy that I used this company for my driving lessons!! I was a nervous driver to begin with but Noni helped a lot. She was very patient with me, gave me a lot of tips and would slightly adjust my habits where I needed to improve. I was extremely comfortable and would highly recommend First Step to anyone! I felt I was being judged on how I drove instead of teach I tell a left turn she said it was wrong when I asked how she said it just was keep going. Another time I was going exactly 80 in 80 zone but was being past she said going to slow can be unsafe so I ask would you like me to go a little faster she said if you want a ticket like tf. She shown up late and cut me short

I took this course, with my cousins and the instructors were great. They took me out to Chatham to practice for my road test and helped me get my G2. Definitely recommend! I will be contacting them again to get lessons for my G.

100% recommend! I go to school at UWin, and also work full time. My instructor efficiently scheduled my hours to best suit my needs which is more than I can say about a different school I tried getting lessons from. They provided me with all the information I needed at the beginning and stayed true to getting my requirements done way before the year limit! I also appreciate the timely call backs when we didn’t connect right away. Overall, they’re a great school and can’t rave about them enough. Thank you so much! AR

My son was not given a contract or any documentation. When he tried to book his last 2 hours of instruction she said his time had expired as per the paperwork he never received copies of. Instructor never offered advice to improve, just yelled at him . She constantly talked on her phone while she was supposedly instructing him while driving. Nothing was learned and now have to start over with a more reputable company. I highly advise anyone contemplating this business to think twice.

Back before the Covid, I enrolled my daughter in the school. Now I paid over 650 for this course which due to the Covid she was unable to do the road portion of it, however she was called several times by both my daughter and I throughout 2020 and now this year I called again and NO CALL BACK??!!! I find that suspicious and will NOT be recommending this company to anyone!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

My son took the course with them in 2014. My daughter took it with them in 2017, and my youngest just finished her in classroom last month and will be taking her in car over the summer. If we had a fourth, they’d go here too. We love this school, Noni, and Neil. Recommend highly!
