This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced: I try to call the school to book classes, after at least 20 calls I finally get the line, and they tell me there is no availability, to call again next week. At this pace, the course will never be completed in the required time stipulated by their contract. They accept too many students and don't have enough people to handle the demand, this is really unacceptable and unprofessional, and I will now need to cancel my contract and go somewhere else. Please, don't register there, it's a waste of time.

I feel greatly aggravated by paying for such a low quality service and I’m referring specifically to the administration and the secretary in charge of attending to the client in terms of class appointments, information on changes and course organization. Any secretary in Quebec should be completely bilingual in English and French, gentlemen, the client suffers when he cannot communicate with the secretary and if she is not informed, nor prepared to communicate the student correctly then she should not be working there . The school has been charging me periodically as I go to class. You sign a paper that says if you have to pay a specific amount, I finished my class number 10 and the school should have charged me the remaining balance of the contract but it didn't. (I didn't know this yet, but informed myself long afterward) What happened is that after 4 months of this whole terrible COVID-19 pandemic some services were reopened including the school, naturally I phoned the school to schedule my remaining classes. According to the secretary I could not schedule my class until I paid the remaining balance. I basically had to go to the school to pay in order to schedule my classes. The only thing that the secretary said during more than 20 minutes of conversation was "you have to come and pay if you want to schedule your classes" it really makes a difference??? I have to go and take the class anyway and I can pay there. I don't have to go and pay and then schedule my class and go home and wait to come back again take the class, that doesn’t make any sense especially if the school made a mistake by not charged me when they suppose to. The secretary had to call to another secretary and them she explained me that I could pay online but I already have asked for permission at work to go and pay. Please give formation about the job to the people that you hired. The school administration is to blame, not its workers. The school didn’t open Friday, July 31st ,Saturday, august 1st and nor Sunday august 2nd but that wasn’t post on the website or the ads not even when you have been calling for 4 days starting on that same Friday 31st. I realize about that info today Tuesday august 4th because I had to take the time to go to the school and guess what a paper on the door with the info but check this out the school was closed and no info about it. I have more but I don’t think anyone need more than this. It's full of little details and also some instructors that make the course tiring and unpleasant. We are taken a lot for children which is sometimes annoying. However the instructors make an effort, they are just not very skillful but not mean either even if it can sometimes give that impression! Being totally honest here, the registry or sign up service might have been a little more frusturating than I would have thought it to be BUT, once my courses started I can say that my teacher Zak.H was without a doubt the best teacher you could probably have to teach you everything you would want to know. He is patient, understanding, has an amazing sense of humour when talking about certain events or scenarios and although he can be strict about being there on time and ready to start the class, that is also to be expected when teaching a class of approx. 100 students. Other than that, if you start your 1st class of your drving course at Technic St-Laurent and Mr. Zak.H appears on your zoom screen, make sure you are ready to start hahaha, but also be ready to have an amazing course online :)

I’ve been trying to get a class for the longest time. Every time i call or even go in person to take a appointment they tell me they are full and come back next week. It is not normal that I haven’t been able to have a class for almost 3 months now. They are very disorganized with there system do not recommend anyone to go there. I have to wait on them to be able to finish my driver’s license.

Good instructors and classes. Scheduling can sometimes be a pain if you don’t have the most flexible availabilities (mid-day) and calls are often left unanswered. Their car happened to break down on the day of my lesson which caused it to be delayed by a full month.
I had the best experience with this school! The girl at front desk was amazing, she was so kind and helpful when I needed help. She offered the best customer service I’ve ever had! And the teachers are greaaaaat!! 100% would recommend!

STAY AWAY !!! Worst place to take your driving courses. Very unprofessionnal management. They make you wait hours for no service at all. You ask for the manager's phone number they make up stories and they DO NOT GIVE IT YOU! Theres plenty of driving schools that actually offer a service.
I have been trying to contact this school since 2020, by email, by phone and in person to schedule my in-person driving hours. I have not received a SINGLE reply from them for over a year. I have also tried getting an updated invoice because the one I have is outdated and doesn't reflect the theory classes Ive completed so far. I need that invoice to show my employer, whom is paying for my license. The 3 times I've gone in person they were closed during operating hours. I have not gotten a call back or email back outside of that. I recently reached out to the Tecnic "head-office" and they can't do anything because its an individually owned school. They offered to re-route my request directly to the school again and big shocker...I STILL havent heard back since then. STAY AWAY from this school and TECNIC as a company altogether. They will make you run-out your learners permit expiry date by not contacting you and then ask you to pay to renew your file.
I have been calling the school every single week trying to get an in car and no one answers the phone and if they do they tell me to call back the week after because they are full. They're unorganized. Once I registered for a course, I was told they would call me back a few days later to discuss about when the course will take place, but 2 weeks later, still no call. I had to call them on three separate occasions to finally get hold of them. But that's not all. I get that most of those courses are taught by a minimum wage employee reading off of a PowerPoint presentation, but during the two hours, the instructor seemed to have made it his mission to waste as much time as possible. First off, he would always start 5 minutes late, then use up thirty to forty minutes to take the attendance of the over 90 people present, and finally take them once more before the end for those he missed. On top of all that, we've only had the time to go through 3 pages on the 150$ manual we had to buy, then a few measly slides on a very basic PowerPoint.

Honestly terrible, not using my name so Im not on the black list but vehicules are terrible, they don’t even work since one of the blinker is destroyed due to rust and can’t be fixed, so I had my class without a blinker. Driving teacher had to evaluate me but since he didn’t make me do what I was supposed to do, he just gave me a mark at random. ALSO, I’ve been calling multiple times, A LOT, and all they say is to call back next week for the disponibilities. It’s been like this for the past 3 weeks now. I’m supposed to have finished my classes last month and they are now not even answering my calls. Even if I leave a voice mail. Honestly think that the system should be re done. Secretary said that there were less classes since an instructor took vacation. But I think that due to COVID, EVERYONE are trying to find classes so why not find someone else to replace him?.? I chose tecnic even though everyone warned me not to and now I regret it. I chose Tecnic just cuz of their good prices. But they get complaints everyday from so many people because they're so disorganized. I wish I paid the extra money to any other driving school. *ANY*. Its going to be over 5 months that I've been SIMPLY planning to try to get my learner's license from them, because there is so much miscommunication from lecturers and no scheduling organization. They legit don't give af about their students. Pay somewhere else. It's worth your money. They take in hundreds of students but there's not enough teachers, spaces, classes, etc for anyone.

Most horrible service ever. They never answer the phone, they don't call back when you leave messages and when we went on site, they were closed and the person working there was out chatting it up with friends at a next door BOBA Tea store for 30 minutes. My son has paid them and has been trying to book his classes for the last month+ to no avail. Go to any other driving school and avoid these guys as they will take your money and it will take you forever to complete your course.
Hi Tecnic! This review specifically adresses my driving school teacher Zak. I honestly believe he is a great teacher. In my opinion, he is straight forward, always answers the questions quickly and gives personal examples of his past experiences to clarify questions and give insight on a specific topic. I started my courses in 2019 (two years ago!) And, with the service I am receiving, I don't see how I could finish my courses before my license expires !!! I asked for my certificate to make a school transfer and on it there were two practical outings that I had completed which were not registered !! By changing schools, I should have repaid for these courses already taken and repaid a registration fee of about $ 300 !!! Driven by frustration, I was going to send the school a formal notice. Je me suis donc rendue sur place une autre fois pour constater qu’elle était entrain de donner des cours à plusieurs personnes et qu’il y avait même une liste avec plusieurs signatures de cours qui venaient d’être donnés!!! J’ai commencé mes cours en 2019 (il y a deux ans!) et, avec le service que je reçois, je ne vois pas comment je pourrais terminer mes cours avant que mon permis expire!!! J'ai demandé mon attestation pour faire un transfert d'école et sur celle-ci il y avait deux sorties pratiques que j'avais complétés qui n'étaient pas inscrites!! En changeant d'école, j'aurais dû repayer pour ces cours déjà faits et repayer un frais d'inscription d'environ 300$!!! Poussée par la frustration, j’allais envoyer une mise en demeure à l’école. Heureusement, après avoir fait des recherches, Tecnic Saint-Laurent sont tellement incapables de faire leur travail, qu’ils ont perdu leur licence en 2018 et que la succursale de Montréal-Nord doivent les superviser. J’ai donc appelé là-bas et ils ont tout réglé mes problèmes. Sinon, tous les professeurs sont vraiment bons et gentils, c’est juste la réceptionniste de Saint-Laurent qui est menteuse, irrespectueuse et mal organisée.
As many people have stated before, the main pain with this place is the front desk/secretary and how they handle situations with payments. The classes themselves and the teachers are fine, nothing great, a few oddballs. I'd suggest going to another school.
