very polite people, they made learning the theory section (m1-m5) super easy for me. we had to complain about the couple day delay to get my learners certificate, and they where very professional and gave it to me the same day as the complaint. Im very happy!

I spent over 6 months trying to finish my driving lessons, not only did I get the run around between CAA, a so called manager and the driving school but only to be told by an unsigned email they would not take transfer students after all, when they could have just been forward from to start. I get that its covid but they have no consideration for peoples time.
I started off liking this school and enjoying this course, however the lack of communication recently has been ridiculous. I have been trying since the beginning of August to get an in car lesson, it's been almost 3 months. I've emailed and called several times yet no-one calls me back, or they email weeks/months later but not to confirm anything. We weren't even told lessons had resumed during COVID, I just happened to go on the website one day. The theory lessons are fine and seem easier to get scheduled, but I'm close to leaving if I don't get a practical lesson soon. Would avoid for now until they get their admin issues sorted.
Instructors are good but organization and admin are not. Everytime I call to speak with someone, it takes me more than 45 minutes and sometimes the line drops after like 30 minutes. Impossible to reach out to them over the phone. I have asked them several times to email me my schedule and I still have nothing. Huge waste of time Update. 2 months later. Still no answer. I can't even take my courses elsewhere because they don't answer. Such a fraud

I got the program completion attestation from the school, then at my road exam appointment with SAAQ, the employee there told me the attestation that the school gave me is incomplete and missing full course info, so I can't do the test. Called the school, no one answers. Wasted a day (300$ lost wage) going to SAAQ office and 90$ for the road test car rental, and now I have to book the test again in two months time because of their mess up!

It took me a long time to get classes booked going through the CAA, but so far everyone at this location has been very friendly and understanding. Had my first in-car session recently and the instructor was great and was fluently bilingual.
Terrible service. I've been trying to sign up for the last 2 months at least and it's impossible to get any service from them. I understand there are delays due to covid and I don't mind waiting, but when you tell someone that it can take X amount of days to get an answer, I do expect an answer by that given deadline. Me having to follow up all the time and STILL get no answer is just beyond ridiculous. If you don't want any new clients, maybe don't advertise as such!! Only reason I'm trying to sign up to this school is because of its proximity to my house, otherwise I would run anywhere else.

They went radio silent after I paid my tuition over a month ago, leaving me feeling scammed and ripped off. The class is supposed to start in less than a week. UPDATED REVIEW : the school has improved their communications quite a bit and I'm very grateful. Raza and Charmaine are amazing instructors as well. ---------------------- My classes with CAA have been good so far and I like my instructor (shout out to Raza) but the school's general communication is abysmal!!!! I tried to reschedule my theory exam and received a reply it would be rescheduled. I checked my calendar through the CAA portal and it still hadn't been changed a few days later so I replied back saying so and it still wasn't updated through the portal and I hadn't received a reply. The day comes with the original date I was supposed to take the exam so I decided to show up because it was never rescheduled and thankfully passed. I just dropped by the school to pick up my certificate during their business hours and there was a sign on the door saying they were exceptionally closed for the day so I can't go to my appt and get my license with the SAAQ and wasted my afternoon coming to this location. I don't think it would have been hard to notify your current clients that you were closed today exceptionally. I get stuff happens but just notify us! I have a 2 star rating for now because I do really like my instructor and the classes are good but PLEASE improve your communication. This is ridiculous and I pay a lot of money to come to this school. Please fix it. If it improves, I'll change and update my rating. EDITING TO ADD: the person who works the front desk is helpful and very kind. I've only ever seen her working and it seems like the school should hire someone to help assist her as it seems like a ton of work for 1 person. I wanted to add this part because I don't want her to get in trouble. She seems like a good worker and she's very helpful. This seems like a problem with CAA.

I got my daughter subscribed in may for her driving lessons. The day she had to start her classes no one sent us the link or even answer the phone to let us know the reason. We decided to cancel the service and in June 4 they said they will send a cheque by the mail in the next 10 days. After we received nothing and several exchanges by mail later, they told us to go to Longueuil location only to waste our time as they said that the machine wasn't working. Still waiting for them to send us the mail with a solution. This abusive and really a nasty experience.

Nobody answers the phone, nobody replies to your emails, no communication. What a rip off. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Booked last minute (day before) my road test for a quick refresher and use of car for the test. School was really accommodating and called me back later that day to confirm the booking. It was very seamless. My instructor, Wilner, was very helpful in highlighting key points to focus on. His instruction gave me confidence going into the test as I hadn’t practiced in many months, not owning a car. I don’t think I would have passed otherwise. Would highly recommend. Just try and book ahead and not last minute like myself.
One of the best driving schools in the West Island! Great communication, instructors are very nice and understanding. I would recommend this driving school for more peaceful and relaxed courses. Signing up is easy and quick. They are very organized, professional and friendly. Personally I wouldn't recommend going anywhere but this school.They went above and beyond to make this experience unique. Huge thank you to all the instructors for being able to work with my crazy schedule!
Amazing teacher and the simulator is great for practice
I took driving classes with 3 of the instructors at the Pointe Claire school. Pierre, Said and Azam. I spend 80% of my learning hours with Azam, and I have to say that he just took away my fear of driving, gave specific instructions on how to perform certain maneuvers, was super relaxed and made me feel comfortable behind the wheel. He is Great! Cheers Azam!

Totally satisfied with the overall course. SAID helped alot during my piratical sessions. He will throw challenges while driving and makes it interesting and informative. DANIEL does a very good job as a theory instructor. He is a Driving Wikipedia :) I know COVID disrupted entire world and CAA crumbled as well. I too was not satisfied with their response but my review is with the people who helped me learn & know about driving.

PLEASE AVOID!!!! This is not a school that survived COVID-19. They’re open, sure, but they are NOT working. At least at the standard from reviews pre pandemic. First of all, they’re doing virtual classes, obviously, but are not using a technology that works. They’re using Microsoft Teams and 3/4 times so far (I’m hoping to change schools after the module 5 exam) the app has not worked. Once it was so bad multiple classmates and I lost over AN HOUR while they figured out how to let us in. I spoke with a receptionist about it and she stated that it was an issue with students using smartphones or tablets according to Microsoft. I don’t know or care who lied but I have tried using a laptop and it still failed. The receptionist also stated that there’s always either her or someone else from the school on the call to check for people left in the lobby. This is not information I trust since the way they communicate is through a mass email (no one is bcc’d in the emails btw so huge breach of privacy) so when someone gets locked out the only way for them to get help is reply-all to the email. Every class after the first one there’s always multiple people who were never able to get in so obviously no one was there to help them out and make sure they got their money’s worth and a proper road education. When someone reached out to me on the 2nd class where I was locked out for over an hour, she mentioned that she had already left for the day at 7 but thankfully had looked at her emails. Obviously they clock out at 7 and my class started at 7 so I have a hard time believing this. Second you will not be able to reach them after 12 pm. You will not. I tried and waited over an hour multiple times just for their IVR to hang up on me. I tried emailing them and never got a response. Finally I called right at opening and only had to wait 39 minutes to get someone :) Third. They will not respect your time. They rescheduled me and sent me an email on Tuesday telling me that my exam was being changed from 7pm to 2pm on Thursday. I wasted hours on Wednesday (they conveniently sent the rescheduling email right before their closing hours) with no success to reach them only to reach them today. Thankfully they were able to change me back to 7 (why they had to change it and make me go through this is between them and the almighty) but I really regret going with this school. Even now I’m scared that a technical issue will arise and ruin my exam. I do want to say that the personnel I spoke with over the phone was courteous and kind. It doesn’t negate the fact that I still felt mislead but they were very polite about it. Sorry for the big rant but if you or a loved one is considering this school please look elsewhere. I know I will.

This driving school is excellent. I completed the theory classes downtown, but I did most of my driving classes at this location. My teachers were all excellent, especially Wilner, with whom I booked additional in-car sessions. His knowledgeable and considerate approach to driving gave me the confidence to drive and of course to pass my road test!

My experience has been poor at best, especially regarding the booking of driving sessions. First of all, you cannot simply call to schedule an appointment. You have to give them your availabilities (which may change from week to week but they ignore that), and they will "call you back" once they schedule the appointment. I did not get called back (as I explain in the second point) so I had to start the same process again and am waiting for an appointment. Secondly, I was notified of an appointment two days before, on a day I had said I was not available! What is the point of me giving you my availabilities if you are just going to ignore them? I sent them an email to cancel this appointment, which never got a reply and they never called me again which prompted me to call again. Third thing, I paid for the theory book, like they required before the first theory class. They said you will receive a call or email when the book is ready for pick up at the office. After many weeks I emailed them asking where my book was. No response for weeks. Then they finally said it was in the office if I had not yet picked it up. Poor customer service to say the least. The theory class instructor is incredibly strict and uncapable of understanding that some people are not alone at home and there is background noise and that we cannot control our internet connections. If everything is not EXACTLY as he wants it, you have to leave the class because he cannot understand that you can't control everything, but HIS technical issues have to be accepted. The driving instructor for the one lesson I had before the one scheduled on the day I told them not to was awesome and made they process seem safe. He is the lone saving grace of this whole process. They do not respond to emails, the calls lead to more waiting and slow responses, I definitely feel my money would have better served me elsewhere. We are in a pandemic. Operating a business is hard. But almost a year into this situation, CAA should be better equipped to handle it and treat their paying customers much better than this. I hope this improves, but I just can't wait to be done because this experience has been nothing but frustrating.
They never answer will never reply, If you dont try to chase after them numerous times you will never get an appointment, and if you do they are 2+ months ahead. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Worst Communication - COVID business casualty I wish I could give negative stars. We've been trying to communicate with this school for months with no responses. They book students but don't advise in advance then add fees for not attending. Total insanity. They book in-car driving sessions before getting a learners! Try to advise and they ghost you. Considering we are not the only ones beyond frustrated, maybe a class action lawsuit is required to get our money back. I would take the money and start over somewhere else in a heartbeat. Would it not be breach of contract if a student simply can't attend classes due to they hiding behind phone lines that hang up on you? It's been months and months with no answers. Avoid this company at all costs. It's like throwing your money in the streets.

No chance talking to anyone to explain. ORIGINAL POST My daughter classes were still suspended while other driving schools returned quicker. Then twice made appointment for exam , twice no email. At this point is 6 months after coronavirus. For such a big corporation i am shocked how badly it has been managed, the receptionists are superb when you can get through.As well the instructors are great. *third time, got email but could not link to exam. CAA are dinosaurs. Why not have reduced class size for an important thing as the exam!!

Nobody Answers, ever! I don't understand why nobody answers?! How are we suppose to book our classes if you can't reach out to anyone either by phone or email? I have been calling and writing for the past month and nothing. The phone lines are busy constantly or they hang up on you. You leave a message nobody calls. Why? I can understand that during these special times, patience is required, however a minimum of customer service is still expected. I don't blame the staff - because they have always been very professional - but the administration! Please try and reach out to your clients and keep them inform. We pay to receive a service which I haven't seen in months... I would not recommend this driving school!

Unbelieveable! CAA driving school is the worst! It is impossible to get an appointment. It has been almost 2 years that my kid is trying to finish his driving lesson but cannot get an appointment for his lessons! I call almost every week to get a lesson for my kid and the technician who picks up the phone tells me that they don't have any openings and asks me to call back. When I call back , he tells me its all full, call back next month. It is a total waste of time and money. Go to any other school other than CAA if you want to get your license. They also have the worst customer service. They take more students than they can accommodate. All the instructors at the school were very good and professional but it is their system to give appointments is totally dysfunctional.
